I have been collecting coins for a while now. I really enjoy my experience when I visit Edgewood Coin shop. There are so many coins and precious metals in there. Ancient, Early American, Foreign coins all over the place. The experience and knowledge of the employees is really impressive. Today I visited and the place was packed. The staff dealt with each customer in a professional manner meeting everyones needs. Today Natalie helped to assist me. She is so knowledgeable and deals with people in a very respectful and pleasant way. I am looking forward to my next visit to Edgewood Coin shop. ... I dont think you are going to find a better coin shop anywhere.

I recently became interested in precious metals as an investment. A good friend introduced me to these great people at Edgewood Coin. They have been nothing but wonderful to deal with. They are really knowledgeable and they are obviously passionate about what they do. Their customer service is exemplary and their prices are very fair. Honestly, I like this store a lot! The only reason for the two stars is because I was just trying to get a rough idea of the value of the coin collection my father left me when he passed away. I dont want to sell but I want to leave the coins to my kids but I dont want to split them up. Therefore, I need some idea on the value of what I have so I can make it up to the other child after I pass away. The person helping me really didnt have much knowledge and she admitted she didnt, but that didnt help me. I have to say though, I left and went to a different dealer. I wont advertise for them by naming them here because they were the rudest, most unprofessional and disrespectful people I have run across while dealing with coins. Edgewood coin employees are extremely polite and respectful and Im aware that I showed up on a bad day for them. Overall, Im just down over the way my day has gone.

In a time where you can rarely get someone to answer a phone when you call a business Edgewood still does - and they are nice! Ive now been back multiple times from them doing so. Great selection and they are priced below what youcan find on eBay on most things Ive seen. Every staff member Ive dealt with there has been nice.

Just went to see about some peace morgan and ASEs and the selection was amazing. And also cashed in a 10oz bar. They gave me a great price on the bar and super great prices on my Morgans peace and ASEs. Thank you very much Natalie &Sarah for a great experience at yalls shop. Sometimes when I’m there it seems like they don’t even realize I’m there. !!!When a customer comes into the store they should acknowledge that you are there and that you are spending your hard earned money.!!!!

Love this place. I didnt get her name, but she has long, red, braided hair, and she sorted me right out! Talk about patience and knowledge...they went through my collection and gave me a fair price on what they would purchase, and in no time I was out the door.Very friendly and family run place, 10/10 will return again!

By far the best numismatic dealer in north Florida it’s worth the drive every time. No matter what I am on the market for I can usually find it at unbeatable prices. If your looking add to a collection or even sell your collection Edgewood is the only place I would recommend. Best part is they are always open on eBay. I never have to worry about authenticity shopping on eBay again!!!

Went today to get my boyfriend something special for Valentines Day and I was not disappointed. The lady who helped me was very sweet and sold me a coin from ancient Rome. The place has such a cool vibe. There are stacks of books everywhere and reminds me of an old bookstore. I definitely will be back to buy his birthday and Christmas presents.

I work in Jacksonville during the week and travel home on the weekends. I actually picked this coin shop out at random to do some business with a coin collection that I have. It could not have been better. The girl that was helping me and Im sorry I dont remember her name was great I brought in loose coins. We went through them and really gave me a fair price for what I wanted to sell so I would recommend this place to anybody wanting to add to or sell from their collection. I went into the shop today looking to find some certain dates/mints for avg. circulation 90% US coin sets that I am trying to complete.I had the pleasure of dealing with Austin (I believe that was his name) today and he was great! Very racist, I look up values of silver before I even left the house to go towards there a young woman was behind the counter then an older guy comes up like the lady behind the counter doesnt know what shes doing, and I must add that I even look up todays date silver rate which is $17.33 per ounce,but Im guessing of course he our race which is African American, guessing we dont know know any thing, and told us that our coins was just wort face value which as documented 1971 Eisenhower con is worth $20 & 1972 coin is worth $17, but of course I pretty much figured out that we were to dark to be in there coin shop and didnt want to give anything, this store is not a place for people of color and I say if the store didnt have any customer in it at the time but us, and I see it wasnt no reason why the lady behind the counter couldnt help us like she started to in the beginning but the older guy noticed our colors of our skins and started the quick outrageous appraisal,just for us to leave

The owner Emory carefully evaluated a multitude of coins that I was trying to sell the Edgewood Coin Shop. He gave me a reasonable price on many of them and even told me that some of my coins deserved a higher grade. If they were overstocked on certain coins, then they were not interested in those coins. The shop has a very large selection of coins and other related items to sell. Emory was very professional and very courteous. One of the best coin shops that I have dealt with in my many years of working with coin shops. There are many bargain coins available for sale also.

This place is a coin collectors candy store. Filled from top to bottom with coins of all kinds. Family owned and operated. They are very good at taking time to sit down with you if you want to go through things or if you just like to browse on your own, they respect your space. You can find other collectables here as well. Fair prices.

Because they do not have a contact us email address listed, I contacted them through their eBay user name. They responded with an offer to buy my silver at $8.50 per face dollar. I replied, telling them that I had two other offers, both around $9.50 per face dollar and asking if they would match these offers.It appears that they retaliated against me by reporting my eBay message to them. I just received a warning from eBay, citing that first message.Not only are their offers to buy too low; but, their indiscretion in so far as reporting me to eBay is just poor business practice.If you have silver for sale, there are many better buyers than Edgewood Coin Shop.

My wife wanted to surprise me with a coin for a late valentines day gift. She has pretty much no knowledge of what she was doing and they sat down and showed her coins in our price range and were patient with her, and were able to pick a great coin at a great price.Im very happy.I also bought a coin holder about a year ago from them and once I got to the car discovered it didnt fit for the coin, they swapped it out after the package was opened. Most shops wouldnt do that either.This will be the only coin store I visit.

This is a real, honest to goodness, great, old fashion coin store. They have more coins and coin related items and coin collecting supplies than you could possibly want or need. I called and made sure someone would be available to do some appraising before driving 1 hour down to Jax. My appraiser, Bob, was there when I arrived and gave me about 1.5 uninterrupted hours of great attention. What they offered for my gold, silver rounds and bars, and silver melt was within $5 dollars of what I had hoped to received. The store is family owned and run and in business for 30 or 40 years I guess. The whole family was working the day I was there, all helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I was able to park right out front on a safe street in front of the store. Youd be hard pressed to find a better, more fair or honest coin store anywhere. Im currently sorting my next batch to take down for appraisal and sale.

With no Silver in town they are the only ones charging 3 over spot for most rounds and kennedys for melt value along with all other small silver. He even steered me toward the the melt silver (which i didnt ask about). Eagles are 5 over spot!! I will be back. The silver guy there is awesome

Heard good things about this shop but unable to drive right over, so I called.Nice lady answered and I explained what I was interested in 1881 Morgan CC in good to Good to XF condition. She asked if I could wait and I said, yes happy to do so. She left the phone, I waited and she returned a short time later with a price of $30.I asked her if that was the correct price and restated the 1881 Morgan CC in Good-XF, she said yes.I asked her to double check, as I KNEW this was NOT the correct value.She came back and said, Yes $30.I again asked if she was sure, she said yes.I asked if they could hold the coin for my pickup on Friday am when they opened? She said, yes and I gave her my name and phone number.At this point I thought Id better drive over now to see if this was true.About 10 minutes later a different lady called me, sorry she did not identify herself, but said the price I was given was a mistake, the price is $331.00 not $30.... SORRY.I explained I was already in the car headed over and was concerned it was a mistake when I called in the first place and thats why I asked the other lady to double check the price I was given but she confirmed it was $30.I asked her, was it a habit for Edgewood Coin to do, Bait and Switch in their quoting of coins. She said, No of course not.I said, I understand, but that is what just occurred. I stated, I realize the value of the coin and do not really expect at this point to buy the coin for $30, Im more honest than that,I asked if they would make an accommodation in the price of $331 for their mistake? She asked please hold and spoke to someone. She came back and said $315.I asked if she really said $315 and she said yes. I said, I would expect a bit better price than that and if that is all their Bait and Switch was worth, I hoped they did not mind me writing a poor review on GoogleShe asked if Id like to speak to the owner and I said sure.When the owner came on, it was a one way conversation, him yelling at me... When I TRIED to speak to say, I did not truly expect him to sell the coin to me at $30, he continued to YELL AT ME, and not let me speak.I finally said, its obvious you will not be reasonable and not even listen to my offer on the coin, so Ill just explain my side of it to folks who will listen (read) it here on Google.My offer would have been, Sell me the 1881 CC at $331 but give me the other $30 1881 no mark for free. Would have cost him $30.But he would not even listen to anything I said..... I finally hung up.So ONE STAR * for, Lack of Owner Business Responsibility BUT Mostly for Lack of ANY Interpersonal Skills.Hope your buying experiences are better than mine was.....

I wasnt going to post this because, being that my family has dealt with this company for a decade or more and being as they are a highly respectable company I WAS SHOCKED to say the very least when bringing in some of my late grandmothers collection to have appraised and even sell some of it. I came all the way from Callahan for starters, having no doubt in my mind this was the place to go... I walked in and I believe his name was Bob... Older man, came and sat down and Im unsure if he was looking at me and assuming I was some young idiot or what, but I had my mouth open the entire time falling further to the floor as he spoke. I stated simply that I had looked around on the internet a little to look for a range of pricing on some of the collection and was going to say that it wasnt very helpful, per my decision to come into the shop and get some insight when he cut me off abruptly and told me I think I know everything from the internet, thats ridiculous and that if that were the case Im wasting his time, because he does this everyday... He then proceeded to tell me I wasnt listening to him and following directions, because, again, I have a rather large collection and I had asked him if there was even a denomination that he would prefer seeing first... Which was apparently idiocracy to him and I was to dump every single coin out on the counter so he could look through them... Long story short he told me he couldnt help me because (as if I was his small grandaughter) I was scolded before finishing my sentences and wasnt allowed to do or say anything other than what he told me to do... or so much as to ask for insight on certain pieces. Again I respect this company, grew up in the area and would love to come in to your shop if I was to be coming to speak to an actual professional as a CUSTOMER. I think Bob is past needing a permanent vacay.

Had to down grade my rating.Everytime i come here i am disrespected more and more.decided to not buy an unfamilar gold coin fot melt, decided to by a AGE 10th with a premium. i got a bright shiny and beautiful coin(the other was rather plain and not much to look at aesthetically) with a brand new sticker with the word FOOL written in fresh and wet Ink(i could smear it quite easily). so i laughed, made my purchase and left. however it occurs to me that the lady had a strong disagreement about my choice or reason and instead of taking the initiative to display some customer service, I got to receive her heart felt and sincerest insult...actually have been coming here and only here for years, but today i will go visit another shop, if not for the prices, but for the chance to be treated a little bit more respectfully.HOWEVER there is a younger man(compared to the owners he is younger) he is extrenely nice, exteemely pleasant, extremely welcoming, but he doesnt handle the gold dealings unfortunatly. get rid of the old bitter lady and promote this younger man.

They dont care about the customers they want to make all the money they can I go up with one of a kind coins MS70 which is the best of the best they dont want to pay for the best of the best bed rather just pay you the price of the silver which is a rip-off theyre rude I will never go back there and I will tell other people not to go back there
