We get almost all of our instruments and accessories from here. The people working have knowledge in what they sell and are all very nice. Being that we are music lovers and my son has a knack for playing different instruments, I am thankful to have to go to place where I can ask anyone a question and I will get the best answer possible at that time. They do it all sell, teach, repair and help.

Not much new other than the great, helpful staff, all the great instruments/tools you can buy. The place is far from my home, but it for sure is worth the long drive and it is the closest guitar center to my area. Do recommend coming here.

I have been coming here for many years and I encourage you to do the same. Although the realities of online shopping have hit them hard, they still carry the things you need at fair prices. Please support them! You cant play a guitar that you order from a website like you can here! Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!

AVOID THIS PLACE …. Don’t let your car, motorcycle, bicycle or feet take you there. The staff is terrible and beyond rude. This is not the first time I was treated bad but undoubtedly will be the last.I went in to buy some books, a couple Harmonicas and a nice guitar. I went into the acoustic guitar room with the intent on buying a high mid range Taylor. I went in a played for a bit on Fenders and the like and no one came in, I really wanted to try the Taylor’s that were locked up. (I don’t blame them for locking them up, I would). I went out to the counter where a couple of employees were standing around (no customers), I asked four times if someone would unlock a couple Taylor guitars for me, each time I was ignored, they just looked at me.Not willing to be treated this way I returned my planned purchases of books and Harmonicas to where I found them and explained to the sales people that they blew it, as I was planning on dropping a couple grand on a guitar with them. I guess a manager heard me and of course immediately wanted to make things right but at that point it was to late.Obviously this Guitar Center is only interested in your money not to serve you. To bad they have good inventory but zero customer service skills. By the way I did get my guitar from a place that wanted my business. Glad I tried somewhere else.

The service is not fast, because the people here are thorough! They will make certain that you leave with what you need, or answers if they dont have what youre looking for.

I usually try to stay away from big box stores and support local business. However, had a great experience today with Steve and the rest of the guys in this shop. Steve sold me a beautiful guitar and gave me a solid deal on it. He was very helpful, let me play a selection of guitars and wasn’t pushy at all. Definitely recommend checking this store out!

I’ve been going to this location for nearly all my music gear for over 12 years. (There was that one time I cheated on them and used Sweetwater for a piece of gear they didn’t have in stock). But other than that, I go way out of my way (over an hour drive one way) to shop at the Atlantic Blvd location because of the exceptional service. There is a much closer guitar center to my house, but that one isn’t even worth one cent of my money.Every associate and every manager I’ve encountered over the years has been overly accommodating and attentive. In my experiences there, the staff tries to personalize the customer experience by suggesting better products for their needs (whether they remember the customers or not, they at least act like they do… which sounds silly, but it makes the gear shopping more enjoyable).One particular associate there named Steve E. (In Pro-Audio) has consistently gone out of his way every time to deliver exceptional service. It’s gotten to the point, where I only go to Steve now. He knows my style of music, he always follows up on items that are back ordered, he makes suggestions that are best for me (not necessarily more expensive) and always helps me secure the best value for my dollars spent.I bought a bunch of gear on guitar center online at the beginning of 2020 and the entire order got so mixed up I almost quit buying from GC all together. But my dude Steve straightened everything out and even talked to corporate (and the gear card co.) for me to make sure I got the best promotional rate possible.No matter who takes care of you here, you are in good hands. Sweet water is great and all but this guitar center location has earned my business time and time again.

We were about to spend thousands of dollars until the staff was rude to us. So we left and we’ll spend that money somewhere else. It might have looked like we were just looking but you should never make assumptions about your customers. Every interaction is important. We have brought a lot of business to Guitar Center and already spent a lot of money there but never again. There are lots of options out there and you lost our loyalty. We walked out without saying a word but we certainly won’t stay silent about our experience.

Not a lot of new stuff. No complaints with staff. Just regular supply of guitars and amps. Nothing great.

Called guitar center today with a question about drum pads. I was left on hold for 30 minutes. I called back and spoke with Steve. He talked to me as if I asked a stupid question. I just wanted to know the difference between the two pads. His answer was one has keys. I wanted to know the different functions between the two. This was my first bad experience with this company usually everyone is helpful. Maybe I should have asked Siri.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.Felt at home here. Will keep coming back just for the atmosphere.

After getting a damaged bass from online, and having a totally infuriating conversation with the Guitar Center call center, I called this store on Atlantic. I talked with George and he was able to locate the non damaged version of my guitar, ordered it for me, and made it easy. I came I. Today and Ryan and Autumn finished the deal with ease. Would totally come back here!!!

Just spent my last dime here after having an account and spending thousands over many years of coming to this store. STEVE is your problem this is the second time Ive had him profile me and be very short with me. He came up to me and rudely asked if I needed help I knew what cable I was looking for but he insisted on helping me find it so I told him what Ineeded he then pointed it out and as I proceeded to purchase it he asked if I shopped there and I responded with all the time he then changed his demeanor and showed some slight customer service he introduced himself and started asking me questions about my setup! Why couldnt that be his first approach? All Im saying is dont approach your customers like that it comes off like you profile your potential customers and as a black woman I wont tolerate it I will be strictly buying online now.

Good selection of guitars, guitar equipment, as well as Percussion equipment!! I play Percussion mostly, and I was surprised that they had such a wide variety of acoustic and electric kits, as well as a wonderful selection of cymbals, djembes, and Cajons. The prices are really good on certain things, and high retail on other things, but I do like how if you buy their brand cord you get a lifetime warranty on it! This was when I went in June and July of 2021. A+

This is a great store to visit when you are in Jacksonville. It is a smaller guitar center, but is pretty well stocked for a store this size. There is a pretty wide selection of low and mid priced acoustic and electric guitars, but they are pretty light on amp selection. One big plus for this store is that pretty much every instrument I touched was just about in tune and we’ll set up meaning that the staff does a great job.

Purchased 3 necessary items to have my music studio functional and operational. Staff member extremely precessional and gave me confirming quality product advice. Right around the corner from my storefront. Very convenient and centrally located. Had products I needed in stock. Was pressed for time. Ive now bought 2 beautiful ukuleles from guitar center. I was never pressured or followed by staff and was allowed to freely try instruments and take my time. I appreciate the experience offered at guitar center

Walked into this store and it seemed to be in disarray. The drum shop was not staffed and the mess was terrible. I was thinking that the store was closing as product was not stocked and the staff was thin. Seems like this store is in transition or just needs an influx of new blood to right this sinking ship. Nothing personal, it’s just sad to see the neglect and unorganized state of the place. I hope they can get it together...

Waited nearly thirty minutes to for a guitar pedal to be taken out of the display glass just to find out that its on hold. Staff was just sitting and talking to someone while I was waiting, plus when I get to the register they apparently dont take apple pay

Guitar center has amazing staff, willing to answer any questions you have about maintenance, instruments, ect. Theres always someone to help and everyone knows what theyre talking about.

I felt so bad because you are not welcomed at this Jacksonville - Atlantic location. Especially, if you are a colored person, their response is different. I actually went to buy a Boss GT-1000 and wanted to trade my old pedals, but they said not today, tomorrow. Those associates are simply sitting and playing with their cell phones. They have no time, so weird. Its fine. I would not recommend this location to buy your gigs!But I went to Orange Park location, better service!

I love guitar center. Picked up a bass combo amp and effects processor today.

Not sure what has happened at this Guitar Center but the two young associates I dealt with were not very knowledgeable on instruments or confident with their pitch. Had a Taylor Guitar appraised and it took approximately 20 minutes and they have the same one on the wall used for $3600 and my appraisal was $937. So I asked him where I could buy one under $1000 in like new condition with a Taylor Hard case with a dehumidifier included and he just stared and said price isnt negotiable. The Inventory is excellent and some great pieces at good prices other than my experience

Seems customer service has diminished in light of stores configuration and number of associates available. The last few times Ive been in, there were no associates in the drum dept. Fortunately I know how to shop for heads and sticks or just order online.

It was great!!! My hubby always likes to go here just to look at guitars and drums and of course get strings and such for his now 3 guitar collection.👍✌

Went here to buy a digital piano (keyboard really) for my young son learning piano. Bought a Yamaha as it sounds better to me. Steve was so patient with us! He answered any questions. Very friendly and wants the best for his customers. Ask for Steve!

Sometimes their customer service is a hit or miss but I do prefer the one on Atlantic than orange park because their setup is nice. Drums are in back perfect for me. but nice having both.

Holy Grail of info ! I went in originally thinking I needed a mixer. Spoke with Jen in the live audio / recording section and she told me about a more direct approach to my needs for recording. She answered all question directly and told why the options she was showing me were a far shorter distance to recording solo than I had thought. The price was far less than I expected so it freed up room to spend on other studio needs! She is amazing and i will absolutely be returning for my audio needs . I tend to ask a lot of questions and she remained patient and always led me to a direct source to what I actually need. Love love love the friendly service. Thank you GC I will be back!!!!!! #shred

Went in looking to buy a keyboard yesterday. Unfortunately someone was stroking their ego playing forever and we couldnt sample anything. We all know, that guy, the person that hogs an instrument and puts on a concert for themself. Lol. Im all for getting in the groove while playing but its not your personal studio. Be considerate when customers are walking in looking to buy. Get up and take a break. And after they leave you can go back to playing with yourself. Staff seemed friendly enough while we walked in.

This was not the experience I wanted to have at a music store. When i entered the building i was not greeted nor was i asked if i needed help. Definitely not coming back. Im going to do my instrument shopping somewhere else.

Went it in check out the condition of my guitar and was preparing to pay for it, but the cashier was kind enough to assess my situation for free and then suggest some smaller items I may have wanted for general guitar maintenance. Did not sell me anything gimmicky. He also boosted my confidence as a player as he asked me to play in front of him, which put me on the spot, but also encouraged me to try. Will go again.

Let me start off by saying that I love guitar center.First guitar I bought from them was in iraq In 2005. I was so impressed with how fast my washburn d30s got there, and have bought and sold many guitars with them since then.So, Im not so much as upset as I am disappointed with the caliber of employees they have working for them nowOn 04/02/2021 I went in to make a purchase. I had a mask on ( even though jacksonville had just lifted the mandate) as to not offend anyone.I was sitting alone with no one around me, when an employee promoted me to put my mask on correctly ( my nose wasnt covered).I corrected my mask and continued playing.As soon as she told me to correct my mask she began to talk to another customer whose mask was on more incorrectly than mine was.She said nothing to him.He looked of a more mediterranean/asian descent.. and myself (half cuban mind you, as well as a 90% service connected disabled ARMY veteran) looks much more caucasian than the other gentle man, which is why I believe she felt the need to say something to me.Im assuming this because she said it with such disgust, and has the tell tale bluish green hair of our modern young social justice warriors.

I went in to purchase some upgrades for my guitar. I asked for a tele neck pickup and I was sold a bridge pickup. I asked for locking tuners and I was sold right handed tuners when I told them I was left handed. Its not that big of a deal but it was an inconvenience and I feel that the knowledge level should have been higher about the products you sell.

Little bit overpriced and staff can be more knowledgeable about the merchandise but still great store

Pickup custom 70s American-made Telecaster totally Stella. Wonderful unbelievable growling tones and clear Bell like notes thats what telecasters are known for the bell sound the Mission Bell where you get that from Pink Floyd? Jack (Jackie?) was absolutely amazing and kind and helpful and professional, despite my next to nothing budget and strict I need to spend as little as possible statement. He spent time explaining the differences between various guitars, their features, and he helped me find a package that was completely perfect for what I needed. We found a guitar at an abandoned house and my daughter decided she wanted to take lessons.Sam was extremely helpful in helping me find the right accessories to get the found guitar up and running and setting up lessons.Daniel (my daughters teacher) is nice and funny. A few months ago, my daughter recently purchased her first guitar from Guitar Center. Israel assisted her with everything she needed to get started. Last week, Israel assisted her in choosing her first amp which she put in lay-a-way. Today, when she picked up her amp, Jack was there to answer all her questions. The staff here are amazing! They are always friendly and never in a hurry to move on to the next sale. They treat each customer as though they are the most important. Thank you, Israel and Jack, for making my daughters decision to become a guitarist an a good one!

Awsome Jam to take music lesson

Dont know much about guitars, but I bring my step-son in here a couple times a year when he visits - he plays for a living - and he likes it. They have a zillion guitars, old and new, plus keyboards and drums and a ton of other stuff. The biggest issue (hence loss of one star) is the staff is often too light to deal with the number of customers.

I went to Guitar Center today to purchase a Yamaha keyboard. The store was very nice. I was greeted immediately with a friendly smile and a welcome. Seth Engel waited on me. He was excellent! He answered all of my questions. He took me right to the product I wanted. He got me checked out and brought it out to the car for me. The service was top notch! His product knowledge was extensive. I am very satisfied with my purchase! Guitar Center-you guys rock! If you need any gear, I recommend Guitar Center at Regency Mall.

Dont go here for guitar repair. I dropped my guitar off for repair and I got the run around from Kelvin the tech for 3 weeks before he finally told me he wasnt an authorized Fender repair tech and couldnt handle warranties.

No one provided any service. We reviewed the gutair selections for about 15 minutes but no one ever approached us for assistance.Left and purchased a guitar from across the street at the Sam Ash Music Store.

Staff was super friendly and professional. Everyone was eager to help you out and answer any questions you may have. They let us try out the different instruments to see what we liked. That care and friendliness definitely led to us walking out with way more than we thought we would. Highly recommend this place for all your musical needs.
