Great locally owned business. They are always very friendly and helpful.
Great selection and great service with good prices
Great place. To go many things you cant find anywhere elsePeople are nice
5 starsVery helpful and knowledgeable. They are the place I go when I need the right answers. They cut glass and make screens. Bring the big wallet They are expensive but you will not make unnecessary trips back to the hardware store.
Great service and selection. Supporting a small business and keeping it in the local economy.
Use to be a fair place to deal with now they charge to much for what little they do. Expspecialy the gun departmentWont be long before they go out of business.
Great staff large selection for the size. Always someone here that can answer your questions.
Neighborhood hardware store and gun store. Quick in and out with great customer service
Great place when u need hard ti find anythingFriendly staff, thanks
I will definitely go back to that store. They got what Im looking for such wood screws, paint scrapers, light fixtures etc. Good customer service!
Old School hardware store with old school knowledge and great selection of whatever you need....nuts, guns, info, anything. My favorite store
Always a great place to go for tools, hardware supplies, guns & ammo. Theres always some great conversations to be had there as well. Their prices are competitive on all as well.
Great deals on Made in USA products
Needed help from gunsmith. The work was perfect and he did the work dropping what he was working on to jump right on my issue. Would recommend to anyone. Also one of the last true hardware stores in Jacksonville!
Awesome Gunsmith, the elevator on my mossberg 500 bent and locked everything up. He broke the gun down, repaired the bent part and reassembled it in 15 minutes. Great price as well, I will definitely use this guy for all my repairs !
Really great to go into a real hardware store with people that actually know what theyre selling.
I love having this basically in my front yard. Makes lifes little problems around the house easier to handle. It beats going to the big box stores and they are much more personable at Curry Thomaa.
Was not sure what wrench i needed on a bike ride the store owner let me try one out to see what wrench i needed. Them charged me only .35 cents for that wrench WoW these little shops folks we are going to miss them when they are gone.Good service great people.
Extremely pleased with purchase
Took my deceased fathers gun collection to these guys to sell them for my mother and got them stolen. Never saw a police report and was told I should have read the fine print. Cant believe these guys are still in business.
Great service and a great hardware store.
Rude. I walked in to check out their firearms, intending to support a local business. Went to the back, where the employee was working on a rifle and did not hear my first three calls of hello as his back was turned - and obviously had a hearing issue. He finally turned, and his one word was What? I said 9mm. As there were four in the case in front of me and the reason for my visit. Have none and if I did, they would be out. And he turned back to the rifle. Wow. I am an older white guy too - I am just not rude to others. Especially not customers. And, I had a mask on - he did not. Unpleasant experience and totally necessary.
Has mst anything
Place was very clean and organized. Man that helped me was very eager to help and knowledgeable. Made sure i understood what he was telling me to do. Would definitely recommend anybody that doesnt know what theyre doing, (as i sure didnt), to go there.
The hardware store will you meet your needs. Employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. The gun store is average at best.. The Gunsmith is ok but prefer my gun service to be handle by a more professional gunsmith lime Tim Ward.
A real hardware store! I am retired and I am into several projects. They provide great advise.
Its always A pleasure dealing with professionals. Steve Thomas and his staff are always right on point whenever I need materials, or use their services, like made to order window screens. They have a great selection of hand guns. My choice was RUGER MARK IV LITE.I highly recommend these guys. Referrals are the BEST compliment.Rick MartinTerra Tile Enterprises
Very specialized in your needs. They provide great customer service.
They have all your hardware needs.
Great employees, great customer help, great knowledge, mom and pop store, and they have many things that other hardware stores dont. I highly recommend shopping here 👍
Nice neighborhood hardware store and gun shop. They also cut glass for you.
They had everything I needed.New fella that seemed to be learning the check-out. Nice young man.
Old school hardware store
Loved it! Lights inside are dim and not too bright. Clean. Organized. Employees dont wear uniforms so they are comfortable. I could feel the difference & I loved being in there, it was so much easier than being at a large hardware store. The prices for what I needed were very good. The service was efficient & accurate in assisting me with finding my items.
Always helpful. Close to home. Easy in-easy out!
Love the place stop is wonderful and they always have what Im looking for they also have a gun shop
Great old-fashioned hardware store which just so happens to also have a great old-fashioned gun store too! stocked some very cool hard-to-find rifles, ammo, gunpowders, etc. Super helpful staff too! definitely recommend paying them a visit!
Outstanding, friendly and family owned
I bet they have every size if AC filter
I love this Old Hardware Store they got everything you need for hardware, guns and ammo. As a bonus they have an awesome Mounted Animal Collection Many species from all over. Check out the lion.....
The exact vibe youd expect for a mom and pop hardware store. Very helpful staff, but a somewhat limited inventory.
If youre looking for hard to find hardware items, give Curry-Thomas a call. They have a vast selection of all sorts of old school items . Check out their fire arms, too! Lots of taxidermy to see. Love to support small businesses! They are located in St. Nicholas where Atlantic and Beach split.
Was very helpful found the part I need in second got in got out in a Jeff. Love it
Good old fashioned hardware store. They sell firearms and do minor gunsmithing too. I will drive a little further to go here just because I enjoy talking to the guys behind the counter. They have lots of taxidermy around for the kids to look at while I shop too.
My go to place for hardware/tools. Its a ma n Pa owned store, personal service, competitive prices.
I disagree, If it was up to Me I would have give Them a 5, They always take care of MeWhen I go in there regardless if it is a box of ammunition or a knife or a wet rock, whatever I need from a hardware store!!Im very Blessed, I only live about 2 miles from the Curry hardware store, Thank God!!
Old Time Hardware Store, has almost anything/everything to make or repair. Knowledgeable personnel working there.Repair faucets (instead of replacing), make screens, cut glass, provide instructions how to do something.
Every visit the employee’s have an a + for customer service and they always have everything I need. Hands down my favorite local hardware store
Excellent old style hardware store with everything pre-Walmart with people who know what theyre selling. Plus guns and ammo!
Not a bad hardware store, but it can be a bit pricey. Never had an issue with a rude employee, and as far as I can remember, theyve all seemed knowlegeable. Not a fan of their hours, which doesnt match up with whats on Google.
I was quickly shown exactly where to find what I was looking for. Wide variety of products, though the prices are higher for this easily accessible neighborhood convenance.
Always a pleasure doing business with them. Outstanding in customer service.
The gunsmith was, as always, exceptionally helpful & knowledgeable.Ive been coming here since I was a child. A treasure.
Curry Thomas might be my favorite neighborhood hardware store. The gentlemen assisting the floor are knowledgeable and able to craft solutions to homeownings hardest problems.
Great store, great people, one of the last real hardware stores. Support this shop
Best hardware store ever
I was looking for a socket wrench set. Theyre very helpful with helpful me choose the right one.
One of the Best Hardware stores in America. Professional staff that truly cares. A Family team that sees you thru your most difficult projects.
A little pricier than big box store. But the selection is GREAT and customer service is one on one.
Horrible Experience. Tried to purchase a simple paint scraper over the phone and the guy in the hardware dept acted like he did want anything to do with helping to find the right product. (Actually asked me to come in and pick oput what I wanted) Gasps and grunts when given specific dimensions of the product. No worries. Ill take my business elsewhere. Good thing I only need 10 scrapers and 50 blades.
Had some spare keys made. Didnt take long and the price was reasonable. This place has a lot of character, it doubles as a gun/hunting/taxidermy shop.
They always have what you need at a good price and can lay there hands on it in seconds friendly and a smile greets you kind of like cheers they always know your name.
I love this store. Anytime i work in san marco area i will always walk in here first for small or odd materials. This place reminds me of home. I wish there were more like it!!!
Love this local little store and the friendly, helpful service they provide.
They have the experienced people and products youre looking for.
Great place to get traditional hardware store items, as well as some hard-to-find tools. In addition, a fascinating gun store with a stupendous collection of mounted trophies! Very friendly service as well.
This place is a true gem for hardware and hunting related products prucescfair and selection great, bold school mom n pop type store I live it!
Awesome place for hardware and guns, got so much help with my gun purchase they were patient and so helpful
Curry Thomas is a family-oriented friendly shopping experience if they dont have it there you probably dont need it
Very helpful and friendly employees. Large selection. Convenient. Easy in and out when needed.
Great store with all kinds of stuff nice staff
An old-time style hardware store. Worth a look.
Great place. Michael is a great help
My favorite hardware store! The only place you should go for all things hardware.
Old fashioned hardware store eith lots of items you wont find in thebig box stores
Great harware store. They may be a tad more than lowes or home depot but these guys know their stuff and are always willing to help.
Very helpful staff, great to have a local place with people who are willing to help and knowledgeable.
Prices can be high on most items, but they also might have something obscure. Its a haven for boomers and FUDDs, but Ive never been treated poorly.
Took a rifle in to check scope. Found out it was incorrectly installed the first time. They made the necessary corrections and then bored sited the weapon. AWESOME service.
They are the coolest hardware and gun shop left in town
Best place in town for screen repairs and this is a real hardware store where the owners and staff know how to help you!
Love this place....old school charm with what you need to get it done....
Awesome old school REAL HARDWARE STORE
I dropped off my BAR 7 MM at the end of Nov. it had started jamming on the reload cycle after each shot, I dropped it off and was told he would get to it when he could and then call me and tell me what he found, I called at the end of Dec. thinking maybe he had lost my number or something and was told he hasnt looked at it yet, and he would call when he did, so now I wait on Jan.21st I called again to ask about it and was told it was ready to pick up. (No one called me) the next day I went to pick up the rifle and pay I was told it needed a cleaning and some part had broken, (I cant remember the name of the part) he said he had never seen that part break on a Browning, only on Winchesters, I paid and left, when I got home I loaded it an attempted to shoot, on the 3rd shot it jammed on the reloading cycle, now I dont have any confidence in them so Im going to take it some where else (Gunsmiths Inc.) hope I can get it working right Ive had this rifle for 23 years and promise there hasnt been 200 bullet run thru it has always been in the house in a safe.
These guys know everything and are all about helping you get what works.
Great locally hardware store tons of items when home depot to far
Convenient location. They dont have everything, but make up for that with award winning service.
Great place great people good selection
I havent actually been yet, but I read these reviews a while back and have been curious about this place. Well it just so happens that I need a rear dovetail leaf sight removed, so I checked a few places and most of them wanted to charge me $20 to do this. I am thinking man I can buy a set of brass punches from Shooters for $15, and a vise for $15. Why pay $20 when I could spend the extra $10 and own my own tools. So I called Curry-Thomas and asked and he said $5....Finally a place that is reasonable. BTW I tried to get the sight off myself by using some make shift methods, like covering the sight with cloth, but when I hit it with a steel hammer it just cut through the cloth and marred up the sight a bit. I tried using a wood dial, thats what my dad use to do, and it may have worked if I had a vice, but I had the gun between two 2x4s and was trying to hold it between my knees....LOL. My advice, either get the proper tools or go to Curry-Thomas Hardware.
Just good old men making a living prices ate good to.
Absolutely the best goes without saying always been that way And I hope they never change ✌️
Excellent place for all your needs
Gary is not a real gunsmith he has a know it all attitude. I recently asked him to pull a sabot bullet out of the barrel of my muzzleloader. He just wanted to argue with me and tell me you cant use sabot bullets in a muzzleloader. Gary says you have to use the ball and patches for muzzleloaders which is dead wrong you can use a sabot bullet instead of a ball and patch. Gary said he would not pull out the bullet and said if I was you I would tie it up to a tree in the woods and use a long string and pull the trigger. Gary told me whoever told me I could use a sabot bullet gave me wrong information I said that my hunting partner has been using this gun that way for decades why would he lie about it Gary said he gave me the wrong information so I pick up the muzzleloader disgusted I then call Green Acres and tell them what he said about tying up the gun in the woods they said bring it by so I did and after they pulled out the sabot bullet they said this sabot bullet was for inline muzzleloaders they asked where I purchase I said online they said send it all back I looked online for this ammo and it did not say for inline only. The company was nice enough to refund me the money for the bullet having to be pulled out. My hunting partner took his gun to have Garry the gunsmith at curry Thomas do something basic to his gun that any regular gunsmith could do but he could not .How can you call yourself a gunsmith if you cant even do basic gun work. I will never take my guns to him again and I let the rest of his staff know all about this and has lost a customer due to Garry and his know it all attitude and I have nothing good to say to people about him
A great neighborhood hardware store, and a break from the giant Big Box home improvement stores that dominate our world. The staff is ready to help.
Excellent gun sales and repair!
Reasonable prices, great people. They have everything you need. Accepts credit cards.
The best hardware store hands down.
Great place to get help with what you need!
If you cant find it here you clearly do not need it. Hope to visit again soon.
