Manager super friendly and helpfull

Looked different since my last visit there. Updated additions cause for an updated review. They do need to work on their elevator that seems to be down more than up!! Especially if your property is on the 7th floor!!But tbey look good!

I am always impressed with the speed and efficiency of the Dpwntown U-haul location. Today, I dropped in to pickup an appliance dolly and while reviewing the reservation Manager Bryan Petty caught and corrected a mistake made at another location. Sending me away with updated paperwork to prevent any further delays is absolutely the way a business should be run. I am eternally grateful for this brief experience which brightened my day. Kudos to you Bryan!

The manager on staff was amazing and very helpful. He even recommended a great moving company to help load/unload my 20 FT U-Haul within an hours time. I had already traveled over 200 miles and being greeted with great customer service just made it all worth it! I would definitely recommend this place of business to anyone.

The management is very customer focused. The day manager in particular is friendly and outgoing, very very knowledgeable and helpful. I have a storage unit there and its always clean especially the upper floors. Ive rented vehicles and they have always been clean and well maintained. With its location in downtown this could be a great place to store business records, etc

Best place to get a rental. Lately Ive had to use uhaul quite a bit between their pickups, cargo van, 10 and 14 ft trucks to move friends and furniture my wife and I were getting. Ive used 4 different locations including this one located downtown. I really like the staff here. Everyone I dealt with was great, accountable, and quick. When I went to pick up the truck the gentlemen that helped me I later found out was the store manager. I had no clue and was blown away, really funny, humble person. I just thought he was another worker for uhaul. I will be going back to this location again. It was the best experience I had out of all 4 locations I went to. I dont mind going a little farther for the great service I received.

Unless, Bryan is working the customer service at this this establishment is atrocious. I recently got a unit here because the location was conveniently located next to my work and home. If I would have know that I would have door shut on my face by staff and homeless people approaching me for money; I would have reconsidered. While I understand nothing can be done about the homeless; I reiterate that their choice is staff is horrendous. I will NOT be recommending ANYONE to use this facility.

The people here are great. Store staff was friendly and very helpful. Equipment was clean and was what I needed.

This Review is only for their Storage Unit not Truck rentals! DO NOT get a storage unit at this location. Their entire lower levels are infested with mice. When we came back to check out 3 months later we came back to dozens of rats living in our stuff. When we were pulling out boxes they just kept running out of the storage unit it was Horrific. When we notified Management of it they werent surprised at all and said it was a daily issue with their company. We did not get refunded for the 3 months of storage usage and got denied for insurance claims. so Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

Great customer service, fast and courteous! Bryan was all alone and had 3 customer to tend to and did it like a pro! @uhaul you need more people like this man. Ohh and may I also add we sure the same exact birthday. Thanks Bryan

Great location, good customer service. I rented a unit here for 11 months. My things had rat feces and urine all over my bags. Hey what can I say!? Other than that the rates are good.

I have yet to rent a storage unit only because when I called the representative was very rude and acted as if her time was too valuable to explain certain things to customers. Everytime I asked her a question she got an attitude and spoke to me as if I was illiterate or couldn’t understand. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because I called the location on Normandy and the representative was very sweet, courteous, informative and patient.

Excellent Uhaul location with helpful staff and knowledgeable about their services and equipment. I called last minute on a Saturday morning to help with moving and they had exactly what I needed at a very reasonable rate. I recommend this service to help with a move if you are in a pinch!

Mr. Petty is an incredibly kind, and helpful manager, who does just about everything to accommodate. Fair prices, good staff, & decent upkeep.

They dont interfere with you when you are within their premises.They have friendly business.

The Uhaul Moving and Storage of Downtown Jacksonville on 400 W.Ashley St.had my suitcase taken out of my storage unit .When I gave the representative knowledge about the situation Lisa Deese got an attitude with me. The Better Business Bureau has knowledge about the situation.

Hard to imagine this facility offers climate control units. The humidity level was near off charts on floors 1-4, and the elevator cab space is at best small & difficult to maneuver. Date if visit July 6, 2018.

The equipment is very well maintained and the employees are professional and polite

THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH RATS!!IT WAS SO DISGUSTING AND SO DISTURBING TO FIND RAT URINE AND SO MUCH RAT FECES ON ALL MY FURNITURE AND ALL MY CHERISHED BELONGINGS.THE RATS CHEWED THROUGH MY TAPED BOXES AND LAID THEIR BABIES INSIDE THE CUSHIONS OF MY LEATHER COUCH :-(THEY DESTOYED EVERYTHING I OWNED.THE EMPLOYEES ACTED LIKE THEY HAD NO IDEA THEY WERE INFESTED WITH RATS.AFTER DISCOVERING THIS PROBLEM I TOOK NOTICE OF ALL THE RAT TRAPS THEY HAVE AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING.I PAY A MONTHLY NSURANCE FEE,SO I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR EVERYTHING I LOST!!

Cant rely on, they dont honor reservations. Reserved truck days in advance, confirmed twice, showed up on time, and they had given it away.

Standing at the door right now on a Monday 6:08pm. Open sign is on. Door is locked, no one inside. I ordered online to pick up at this location, did not get any of my products. Management is nowhere in sight.
