I gave this store a second shot. I found two records I wanted.one of them I have been looking for a long time. I want to pay for them the little family that I want for sale. This is my business. Wrestling Arizona and acknowledged my presence. Maybe the next trip I will be my professional.
Stumbled on this groovy joint for the first time. Had to dig a little but left with some vinyl Ive been looking for. Owner is super cool and reasonable on prices.. yep no a/c so be prepared to sweat a little.. but this adds to the smell of old records.. I dig it.. my recommendation... GO!
First time here...Will definitely pay a visit here once a week atleast....great inventory
Good find, will return. Its a large storage place with no AC. So as long as you come prepared its a good find. Mostly sorted by genres.
This place is amazing, and so underrated, i can find literally any cd here if i look for long enough. it takes a bit of effort but its so worth it, the selection of music and the price is absolutely fantastic, ive never gotten a single scratched cd or record from this place.
Fantastic selection, great prices and friendly staff. Loved it!
No A/C but, I go there for the cool recycled CDs
You wont find a better hole in the wall spot with as much character as this shop. The owner genuinely wants you to love the music he sells and enjoys just seeing people have fun looking through the place. If you want a great vibe and place to find records, please go here!
Fantastic record store! There is a mammoth selection of CDs, vinyl, and apparently Laserdiscs too. Best kind of spot. Hole in the wall, with great staff.
Stop in during my travels in jax, big store, lots of vinyl but missing alot of what i was looking for.. still ended up with a few things.
Been going here 3yrs! Stellar prices! It’s the only record store in jax with a HUGE inventory! They have exclusive posters, cd collections, and other memorabilia! 10/10 recommend
Seems nice to buy but buyer beware for selling. You’ll get tricked into selling it for pennies on the dolllar of what it’s worth. They won’t give you any value over the phone nor a range nor a price if you send them your inventory. Want you to drop it off for few hours and then they’ll give you a very very low price. Of course all that work to go and drop it off most people just accept the low price and move on
A gem. Loved the tunes he was spinning. (Omega) and could spend hours in here.
Just an awesome collection of records. Can be hard to navigate but be sure to ask for help as they are always super friendly. I stop by every time Im in town and have never left empty handed. Best record shop in Jacksonville.
I went in when it was broad daylight and I came out and it was night time. I had spent $90. I had a bag of records and cassettes. I couldnt even remember what all I had gotten. I just walked in and then I snapped back into my body on the drive home. 10/10 would recommend.
They always have NM records. When I shop at Wolfson I rarely check the vinyl for flaws, I dont have to. If it has any type of fault its written in a note on the cover. And Ron really knows his product!
He didnt have any of the mainstream stuff I was looking for blue he had an incredible selection of more obscure artists and albums. Also a great t-shirt selection of vintage tees
Wow! If you collect vinyl this is the place. A mass inventory of records, CDs, etc. And plan on spending a lot of time in there. Ive found quite a few hidden gems!
Excellent selection of records and the owner is a pretty chill and cool dude. The only thing thats not cool is the temperature. The AC has been broken for a hot minute. Get ready to be sweaty while digging through records!
One word is big, lots of $1-3 records, missing some big names.
Best place in Jax to mine for music. Tons of hidden treasures in every genre!
My new favorite place lol. You’ll get lost in there trying to find what you’re looking for. Wide variety of music. I will definitely be back.
If youre lucky enough to find this warehouse and can tolerate the heat, you wont find better prices on vinyl, anywhere, hands down.Theyre constantly getting new stuff in and they stock a huge variety of every kind of music imaginable. The dude at the register is super nice and chances are, when you walk in, hell be playing something youve never heard before in your entire life. The prices are so good, Im not even mad that the majority of the space in my living room is taken up by vinyl my husband bought from this place.
Rough around the edges but the owner is very nice & there is so much to look at! Quite an adventure!
He snagged a good deal on a tape deck for his tape collection, and has already had rave reviews about the music he’s purchased here. It’s the one record shop in Jacksonville he always wants to come to when he’s visiting from out of town. I have to say, this place is stacked full of good musical options. I like records, but my boyfriend LOVES records, record collecting, and cataloguing. So going to a place like this, with someone like him; I am reminded to always look for quality and never settle on just anything.
I love this record store!! They have great customer service. Its always neat and clean and also they have a huge selection of everything you can think of I just went there today!! The prices are very reasonable! Thanks I love my purchase I made today its just what I was looking for.
I take my son to this store every weekend. They have a HUGE variety of music to choose from. They have the largest collection of records that Ive ever seen and a very large selection of CDs. They also have cassettes and even some 8-tracks, posters, shirts, stereos & lots of other stuff. You have to be willing to really look through his inventory to find what youre looking for but its definitely worth the time it takes. His prices are great in my opinion😊
Love this place, the records are easy to go through as they are separated by genre. Prices are really fair and the quality of most of the records are great. The staff is very friendly as well.

No m matter what classic they probably got it, a supermarket sized record shop pure bliss
This location has no air-conditioning as of 05/2019 so the summers can be brutal inside but this place is packed with more vinyl than you ever dig through in a day and older equipment also. The place is really cool but again, brutally hot during summer days. Plan your trip in the cooler months or go on a rainy/cloudy day when the sun isnt in full force.
This is a pretty awesome store they have a great collection of vinyl, CDs and different tape Decks and other audio components available such as playback devices and record players . They have a great selection of vinyl as well as T-shirts and posters. it is located behind the Dollar General. Found a great Misfits album the first time I came. Make sure you have a few minutes to peruse, never know what you will find. The proprietors are very nice and helpful and the prices were very reasonable.
If you are a music lover, this is the place to visit. Hugh stock of vinyl records and compact discs.
A lost gem. I found this Venom poster flag and just couldnt leave without buying it, and I saw one of Hellhammer I should go back for ASAP. Its great to find someone metalhead-friendly still around when everyone else who is has pretty much disappeared. Just hate having to ride the bus though.
This is a playground for music lovers like myself. I always find (and hear) some new music when I come in. The co-owner is always very friendly and helpful. I bought my first record player from here and you wouldn’t even be able to tell it’s used!
One of the best record stores Ive been to! Great prices on just about everything! Owner and workers are very friendly and extremely helpful! While youre there, look through the $1 and $3 bins! A lot of good stuff in there! Will definitely be back!
Great selection and great service. My kind of store
I buy records from there all the time and I’m never disappointed(DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH)
Great place with a variety of genres. You have to dig a little since not all records are sorted but if you’re patient you can find some gems at a great price. Excellent customer service
If you are looking for vinyl, CDs or vintage audio equipment- this warehouse sized shop is the bomb. Highly, highly recommended with a great knowledgeable staff. You could literally browse here for hours and still not put a dent in the vast inventory. Hard to find location- behind a small strip mall. If you are a collector or interested in music you should not pass up this opportunity to visit. The shop is just a short hop off of Route 95 with exits on both South and North side at University Blvd.
Ask any questions here or just stop by and visit. The co-owner, my dad, has over four decades of experience in the record trading industry and has even written an encyclopedia. You can get lost in the endless rows of classic rock, hip hop, rnb, country, jazz and albums from around the world! This is probably the largest collection of albums in the southeast.
Did not disapoint. There is an enormous variety of things to choose from and everyone was very friendly. I definitely recommend coming here when you are in the area.
Staff knows their inventory well. The guys are always happy to see you when you walk in. And the largest used vinyl selection in the city. I have never walked out of their without having a stack of new additions to my rapidy ever growing collection. And most of my used vinyl I have purchased here because the deals are cheap enough that you get more records than you would expect for less money. Always walk out with a smile.
They have so many LP records including some rare finds. The store is a bit small for the amount of stock & the store could be better lit. The store managers are very kind & helpful though. Wide variety of music! They could use some volunteers. Most prices are very reasonable.
Amazing selection... Literally tens of thousands of albums in all formats. Plus some great old equipment. They fix old stuff too! Great people running a great business. Highly recommend.
Super awesome place! Great amount of selection and amazing prices! Most records are $4-12 based on rarity. Some more rare ones cost more but still worth every penny.
Fun place to visit and browse. Super large inventory of cds, and records.
Great place to find old LP records. Look closely at the records though, many are less than VG condition. There are a few hold nuggets there.
Great store! Nice place to shop for records after a long day at work. Nice selection and helpful staff. Ask for Ron if you need help finding something; hell hook you up!
I love this kind of out of the way music store! ! ! ! They have so many albums, cds, cassettes, used but gently used stereo equipment and music memorabilia. This music store has a great collection of music but you wont find any current music all older rock, rap, jazz and everything else. Alot of the stock is in order but be ready to go digging for that special find. The prices are so very good and dont be afraid to make an offer they will sometimes work with you depending on how much you buy or how good a customer you are. So happy hunting! ! ! ! ! !
Very nice atmosphere and friendly people. Good prices too. The place is full of records and equipment.. all genres and time frames...
They have a wide range of music which is why this store is the best for me
AWESOME find and every record CD or tape is here!!! Helpful people and so much to explore!!
Best record store I have every been to. Amazing prices and all the records you could imagine. Great selection! If youre into music at all, you need to check this place out.
Awesome place, super friendly staff. I could spend a lifetime going through this place!
I highly recommend Wolfson Equipment and Records. They have an outstanding selection of vinyl, cassettes, CDs and vintage equipment. Additionally, the owner and staff are extremely friendly, professional and helpful. You owe it to yourself to check them out, because once you do you’ll be a customer for life.
Amazing store! Will definitely be coming back! Lots of stuff here you can get for a good deal, very knowledgeable staff as well.
Good selection and prices. Friendly staff. Only real issue is it gets really hot in there in the afternoons since it has no AC.
Not organized, but a solid shop.
They have great prices on EVERYTHING..I will be back!
Great selection. They have any artist you can think of. Great staff too.
This is the largest selection in the region, extremely well organized with a knowledgeable staff- which is nuts- because it wasnt here two months ago. Theyre expanding aggressively too. Awesome addition to the neighborhood.
Located behind Papa Johns. Condition of most records is great, Ive never had to put something back due to condition or price (and Im picky). There are some sealed records mixed in without much of a premium. Less popular genres are dirt cheap, the rest of the prices are fair. There is no AC, but there are large fans. Not bad, just be wary if youre going on a hot summer day.
Love this place, they have records and CDs an amazing selection of both. All of the staff there are amazing and very helpful. This is one of those hidden gems here in Jax. Ive been here a few times, and have told multiple friends about this place. Their prices are decent for what they have.Would recommend a visit here, and Ill definitely be back.
Quality staff awesome building full of musical treasures
If you are looking for records (even some 8 tracks and cassettes) worth it to stop in. Fairly wide variety ...might have to do some digging but the records are organized. Place is on the back side of the building
Heaven on earth... super rare selection and finds. Simply amazing!
So much good stuff to look through! Plan ahead and give yourself time to browse. Very organized but lots to look at. I cant wait to visit again!
PLETHORA of music you can find just about anything you want there. But you will have to dig for it. Very inexpensive and friendly staff!
Yes this place has more records in one location then Ive seen in a long time... but it was very scarce pickings for anything worth buying. Disappointing! It seems like they could say no to taking some of this stuff on trade and there wouldnt be so much you have to filter out along the way. After 30 minutes I gave up and left.
Great spot with some cool finds!
We found what we needed, it vinyl long play.
Awesome collection, great prices
This really is one of the best hidden gems for record and music lovers not only in Jacksonville, but in the entire Southeast. You have a huge selection of new and used records spanning the entire warehouse here. While you will easily find some of the standards you expect to see in a used record store, Wolfson goes above and beyond by not only carrying records from genres that are regularly glossed over, but by giving these ignored, but important genres the proper representation they deserve. While the main attraction here is definitely the LP collection, for those that are still interested in CDs or have come back around on cassette tapes, Wolfson’s has something for you as well. While these selections aren’t nearly as expertly curated, they do feature a number of gems if you are willing to go digging for them. You can tell that the owners have a real passion for prog and and art rock by the music played over the stereo as well as both their CP and LP selection. So if you are even remotely interested in those genres, then you should give yourself a few hours to check out what they have as well as to speak to the clerks, who will gladly talk your ear off about the music they are passionate about. Now if only that air-conditioning system worked...
Highly stocked hole in the wall shop with almost everything you can think of listening to
Sketchy looking exterior, lovely interior. I was apprehensive when parking and then blown away upon entrance. The staff was very welcoming, asked if it was my first time, helped me find what I originally came for and gave me space to roam and find other treasures. Boxes are alphabetical and labeled clearly. They even have a $1 section.
This place is a gem waiting to be discovered. The staff is wonderful and helpful if you ask nicely. I just started collecting and spent about two hours looking around... It was a little water inside but that just added to the adventure.
I love this place. Massive selection, reasonable prices, reasonable prices. Whats not to love?
Great record store! I could spend hours... Lots of selection in every genre.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Found exactly what I was looking for and at a great price. Will be coming back.
The hoarding of the records. Ive always found something I totally needed that I didnt know I needed.
The Owner of the establishment is not only poor on customer service but actually had to have the nerve to come out and put a note on my car where i parked saying NOT TO PARK HERE WOLFSON RECORDS CUSTOMER PARKING ONLY!...He does this while i am shopping in the store. When i confronted the man that is heavy set with no hair he looked at me like i was crazy for coming in to confront him on why he went out to put a note on my car. The funny thing is there are no signs stating which parking is for whom and when i contacted the property manager he was already aware that this nasty man does it on a daily basis to any vehicle parked outside of his establishment. The owner was so nasty that I will no longer go to this establishment ever again and will be sure to tell everyone in my network to not deal with this company. Next thing you know you will have a flat tire because your car was parked in a free parking space for to long. He has no legal right to classify any parking spot as HIS and the Property Manager will not give him the right to label any parking space as HIS for Wolfson Records...This was an absolute horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL DEAL WITH AN OWNER THAT HAS NO CARE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NO CARE FOR PEOPLES ABILITY TO PARK IN A FREE AND UNMARKED PARKING SPACE!
Theyre always selling new stuff, you never know what youll find, and its a fantastic small record store.
I do like this place. Digging in crates for records is something I love to do but the lack of AC keeps me away in the summer months. It gets terribly hot in there.
Very awesomeness and still have LOTS of vinyls to look tru...i will be there every 2 weeks as i was told to by tbe owner to find new vinyls
Doesnt look like much from the outside but once u open the door its Music Euphoria!! Friendly folks and a great selection at fair prices!
Really neat place. You can get a large genre of music there.
A little difficult to find but worth the effort. Friendly and helpful staff. Need a few days to go through everything in stock.
This is a nice record store, but not overly impressed with the selection. I found alot of music staples missing. I would classify this as a record warehouse, and not so much a record store.
Been once and already consider myself a regular. If you love music, and youre near Jacksonville, you owe yourself a visit.
Very cool store. Husband found 2 albums hes been searching for.
Very unorganized smells like mold
