The preamp in my daughters Ovation was continuously giving her trouble, it started about a year after she bought it. I took it to one luthier here in town who supposedly fixed it but it began to short back out within a month. As she wasnt gigging with it at the time we didnt do anything with it. A while passed and I took it to someone else who then supposedly found the problem and repaired it...lasted a week. Met John at Bruccis Live one Monday night and told him of our frustration and he offered to take a look at it. Not only was he able to diagnose the problem and explain to me what exactly it was, he quickly and efficiently made the repair and the guitar has been gigged with regularly now for a while with no more trouble. John has also made an upgrade on the nut and saddle of an Epiphone EJ-200 of mine that took an O.K. economy guitar to the next level, a guitar that I am pleased to play anywhere.
