Dale has fixed many issues on my guitars over the years - always satisfied and often finished within hours. He should charge more for his services. Hes that good.

Truly an awesome place. I took my guitar there at 11 am and he was done by noon wired in New pickups adjust the action, set the floyd rose up shaved down the nut and got it perfect and adjusted the intonation. Definitely every guitar I get is going here first. And the price he charged for everything he did was unbelievable no doubt the best setup Ive had done and no doubt the least inexpensive out of everyone. You will get every pennys worth of what u spend there. Everybody was super cool just a great place.all the way around.Thank you very much for the awesome work !!!!

If you live in the Jacksonville and Nassau County area, this is the only luthier you need to go to period. I highly recommend Dale’s Instrument Repair Shop. I’ve had repairs, set-ups and installations done there and I always left completely satisfied.

I didnt know where to go so I went to the closest place. They took 2 months when they told me 2 weeks and did a terrible job. I realized Dale was only 4 blocks further away so I took the guitar to him. He fixed the mess the other guy left me and was faster, cheaper and better. I have since brought him 2 more guitars and a bass that were in pretty bad shape and he made them all like new. Dont go anywhere else!

These guys did an outstanding job with an incredibly quick turnaround. I brought in 5 instruments (acoustic and electric) that needed a whole range of repairs done. I called them way too often for updates and were patient and professional on the phone each time.They finished everything within two weeks, and got all of my instruments playing like they did when I first acquired them. When I came to pick up, they detailed every single repair that was done before helping me load them all up. When I received the bill, I couldnt believe how affordable the services were. I made up the difference in tips. These guys deserve it. Dont go anywhere else!

I traveled from St Augustine to have my AS200 restrung and set up with a low action. The difference in playability is like having a new guitar. I enjoy playing my guitar more now than I could have imagined. I will always make the trip to Dales place for any guitar work.

I took a Squire Jazzmaster j. Mascis to Dale that had a big problem with string spacing. The low E was so close to the edge of the fretboard that it would slip off. Dale fixed it up with a new nut and spaced the strings wonderfully. He also set it up for me. It was done in less than a day. Top notch. Skip the big shops and go to Dales.

Dale is the man!! Today I brought in a Squier Jazzmaster that had a few issues, dropped it off around 11am and got a call around 1pm that it was ready to be picked up! On top of the amazing work he did to the guitar(plays more like a high end fender now than a $200 Craigslist score), he was very knowledgeable and cool. Will be bringing all instruments here from now on and recommend everyone so the same! Best luthier in town.

Rewired my 20 year old Ed Roman Quicksilver beautifully, sounds balanced and brilliant. Great job, great communication, very reasonable fee. The Quicksilver is a PRS style guitar, and mine is a custom job that would run $5k today, due to the Korina body, highly figured maple cap, ornamentation, ebony board, locking tuners, custom pickups etc. The pickups are direct coupled to the body, and the tone range is superb. Along the way, a previous owner had installed some features/wiring that I felt wasnt quite right. Dale dug in pretty deep to find various options and approaches for improvement. Ultimately, I decided to have Dale put the guitar back to the original wiring, but that was my choice after Dales thorough research. Highly recommended. Many thanks, Dale!

I had an acoustic that I played for years. The first 5 frets had worn down and even made some deep notches to where chords would never sound correct and no amount of tuning would fix it.I didnt know any local luthiers, so I called down to Dales. I walked the guitar in and he took a good look at it and agreed it needed some new frets and a clean. He was upbeat and positive. While he filled out my claim ticket, I looked around his shop and saw some of his work. Dale has an artistic touch to his custom built guitars. Some of his work had the most gorgeous use of wood. Im anxious to see the finished product but whoever purchases it will have a rare handmade gem.Dale called me the next day and told me the guitar was finished and I asked what the final cost was...it was very reasonable!! When I got the guitar back, youd NEVER know the frets were replaced. They looked factory new!! No trace of glue, scratches, nothing! I was impressed! It played like I hadnt heard in years! Im so grateful I found Dales and I recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to breathe new life into their stringed instrument! A+!

Dale took in my 1965 model 1454 semi hollow body Silvertone with a curved neck. He determined that the truss rod was damaged so removed the fretboard installed a new double-action truss rod.Also he hand fitted a new bone nut for better tone.Made a beautiful and great sounding guitar that was barely playable once again restored to better than factory issue.Great guy to work with and highly recommend his services as youll read in all the other reviews that Ive seen.

Went in to have a jazz Bass setup. I had replaced the neck due to a broken truss rod and upgraded the hardware. He completed a very thorough setup including cutting the nut, proper string height/action adjustments along with intonation and pickup height adjustment. Turn around was very quick and the work was phenomenal! Great pricing too!!

Dale has worked on multiple instruments for me over the last few months with awesome results. I have a Jeff Beck Fender Strat that refused to stay in tune if you even looked at the whammy bar, that I had tried everything to solve. He was able to find the issue and resolve it at a vey fair price, as well as do a complete setup. Guitar played awesome when I go it back, and I cant make it go out of tune even if I wail on the whammy. Took another guitar that had great tone and looked awesome, but lots of fret noise from some uneven frets was requiring that the action had to be raised significantly to make it playable. He dressed the frets on and did a full setup, had it back to me the same day. It is now one of my best playing guitars with no fret buzz and incredible action.Highly recommend him for any guitar work you may have.
