I have had consistently great experiences at this store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, unlike their competitors across the street where you have to set yourself on fire to get their attention. Went into the Sam Ash store in Jacksonville last night and had a great interaction with Walley. Discussed different guitars and I ended up trading in some equipment to upgrade my current setup. This store will now be my go to anytime I need something or just good advice. Thanks!

I look at Sam Ash as an Online Retailer with a few retail outlets. That being said, they are great people to deal with in person. They may not always have what you want right there in the store, BUT they are more than happy and willing to help you get it purchased online and delivered, on location, or sent to you. This time they were the ONLY major retailer in town who had what I was looking for, in stock, AND GAVE ME A FANTASTIC DEAL AS WELL !! THANKS!

Needed a digital piano and called from my car on the way to the store, the staff had it ready for me and I was in and out! Over the next couple of days I noticed for just a little more money, I could have the next model up, which had a lot more features. The awesome people at Sam Ash allowed me to exchange & upgrade, (and replace for free an instrument cable I had broken). All with little hassle and a smile. Stopped by yesterday afternoon to sale a few things I no longer use. I had already been to most of Jacksonville’s other guitar stores. Since this was my first time visiting this particular Sam ash I wasn’t sure what to expect. Figured I’d see more of what the other stores already offered. Much to my surprise, this store had a great over all selection of guitars, guitar amps, pedals, etc... I was also pleased to see many nicer left handed options, not just the normal bottom of the barrel lefty strat. Along with the usual entry level stuff they also had some mid priced models and a few higher end lefty fender basses! The staff that was working yesterday couldn’t have been more helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Wish I had gotten their names to give them credit here. They were willing to answer any questions I had and give their thoughts on it and genuinely seemed to enjoy working here which is always appreciated. Great selection, prices, helpful and friendly staff, organized tidy store, with an inspiring atmosphere!! 10 out of 10 experience, would highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t shopped here yet. I’ll definitely be shopping here again in the near future

The Staff at the Orange Park location were very helpful in helping me decide on a new delay pedal. This and the fact that employees remembered me from previous visits with my last visit near a year ago. It feels good to have a quality music store, right down the road that I know I can trust in my musical exploration.

Sam Ash is my favorite music store. I am thankful I never have to go in Guitar Center. The sales associate I dealt with was great. He is very knowledgeable and is a great asset to Sam Ash. I will come back because of him. 5 Stars!!!!

Professional service. They appraised my sons french horn and ended up buying it. Took quite awhile to complete the transaction, but good end result. Clean, sharp place and overall pleasant experience.

Overall experience was great! Forgot the name of the associate that helped me out but he was fantastic, he even helped me get my new keyboard into my car! This place definitely has a better selection of sheet music for pianos too. Will be going back for more sheet music.

Just left the store and the staff, especially Andrew H was so helpful. I purchased a mic XLR cord and it was priced lower than Amazon for the same quality. I am pleased and will return again. Also the staff were wearing masks! Always a plus for me.

Our sales person Lawrence was great and very helpful. He was a professional and personable young man. Lawrence worked with his manager to ensure we received a fair discount price for the floor model marimba we purchased. And he wasn’t pushy. He wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchase. When we start looking for our next instrument we will check with them again. Very satisfied customers.

The Sales Woman was outstanding and very funny. She asked what was I interested in and it stayed with her. I now have my first new Recliner in 12yrs.

We went in for a quick look and a little guidance and left with a perfect fit for our 11 yr old. She had been struggling with her acoustic guitar and we had been reluctant to invest in an electric one until we saw her play one...She lit up! That and the excellent service was all we needed to make our decision. Our salesperson was patient with our daughter, asked her questions and told her about his experience when he was her age and just starting out. He helped her find a guitar that shes happy with and fit our budget!

Thankfully Lorance at check-out saved our experience while buying guitar for our son who’s shown a new interest. We were wandering around aimlessly and admitted we didn’t know what we were doing while looking for a guitar. Workers whizzed by but didn’t look up even though there were very few customers around. We finally caught a rep and he said he’d send someone over that knew more about guitars but no one came. We gathered up what we thought was needed to get started and headed to checkout. It was there at checkout that Lorance guided us to right products, cleaned up the used guitar and then even offered to restring while teaching us how to do. He was so polite and kept checking that we had the time to learn. Walked out a bit more confident and totally pleased.

My coworker suggested that I go here over other guitar and equipment stores. It was a bit of a drive for me, but man was it worth it. Right when I walked in, I was immediately greeted and offered assistance. I took to wandering and inquiring about various guitars, amps, and pedals. Everyone was very insightful and pleasant to work with, and after a lot of complimentary testing of gear, I walked out with a new guitar, Amp, and pedal... all of which I had come for! The price was too good to pass up, and with the overall experience I had I am definitely set to do all of my future shopping here.

Im usually wary of music chains but ended up in here to buy a simple cable. The employee gave me the wrong one. I took it back the next day and they were super cool about it. The cable I needed was more expensive but they knocked the price down to what I paid for the wrong one. Very apologetic and helpful. Will come back

I did my research and went in knowing specifically what guitar I wanted. A Squire Standard. One of their reps asked if I needed help so I asked if he had one. They didn’t but he asked me to give him a few minutes and he would check around. He found just one in Atlanta and offered to get it here for no shipping costs. While he was looking though, I played a few guitars in the store and fell in love with the Squire Starcaster. I bought it that day and walked out of the store with it. The rep helped me identify his recommendation on stand, cords, etc. Exceptional Experience!

The staff goes way above and beyond. I bought a used guitar and Joe took it upon himself to not only clean and detail it, but he put new strings on it, tuned it, and found me a box. I have previously purchased several guitars from the OP location. The selection is exceptional. I really appreciate the service I received in selling my alto sax and clarinet at Sam Ash Music Store on Blanding Blvd in Jacksonville FL. He knew how much I had paid for my instruments and that the offer they were able to give wasn’t a top selling price and even recommended other options for me to get a better deal by selling elsewhere which was one of the reasons I chose to go ahead and sell there … honesty is often rare nowadays.

Customer service was excellent. The gentleman was knowledgeable, professional and kind. I did a trade-in and he gave a fair price to me. I ordered my new guitar and he offered to have it sent to my house since I lived over an hour away. I thought that was nice of him to think of me in that manner. Very good experience overall.

Sam Ash Music Store, A great place to be for music gear . I recently purchased my awesome BOSS ME-80 Guitar Multiple Effects Unit, Boss 5 stars for you also . But at the same time I also purchased a cord for my microphone, but when I got home I realized that I got the wrong cord . So 3 weeks later with no reciept I take the cord back and ask the employee if I could exchange it for the right style cord . I give the guy the cord in the package and my phone number and within a matter of 3 or 4 minutes he returned with the right cord and for a mear 57cent more I was back on my way home. A VERY HAPPY COSTUMER . THANK YOU TO THE GREAT GUYS AT SAM ASH ..

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable when my wife first went in to buy an electric piano. It isnt any wonder they pointed her to the most expensive brand, but we were looking for quality, anyway, and my wifes prospective teacher said that company was the best.I had a similar experience when I went in to make the actual purchase. The staff again remarked the well-known quality of the company and numerous features of the particular model. When they didnt have any stock except the one on display, they searched sister stores for stock and are having a brand new one delivered to my home for no charge. Definitely someplace I would recommend for their selection, expertise, and fair prices.

We didnt make a purchase as we need to take everything that was told and showed to us in first. But let me say LJ was the bomb.com!! He took time and showed us the difference between electric and acoustic guitars even played a couple very solid tunes to help us hear what he was saying. Played drums to show us difference in sound as well and just gave us overall good information and things to think about. Learned a kool lil fact that his uncle is Glen Jones!!! Would definitely recommend visiting and making sure hes at work that day!!

Love the Guitar selection of this store. They are starting to get new models in, its been hard on the guitar store inventory this year, especially shopping from overseas. Looks like they could use your used trade ins or sells, not many used guitars like usual, but thats to be expected. Decent guitar parts section, I normally get Orange Drop Tone Capacitors here, and they got plenty of Pots for Fender and Gibson style guitars. Also, the music books are a good deal right now, got tons of guitar tab and notation books by different artist, etc, marked down to almost nothing. Green dot special is the sale, they are in front close to registers in a display.

Jeremy and Joe Steinhart are always the best with service and friendly attitude. Always helpful and Jeremy practically RUNS around the store. He is the most hands-on manager I have witnessed in a music store.

I am new to recording music and went in there yesterday because I needed some studio monitors and Dionte was more than helpful. I asked him one question about having monitors to use for playback and he went the extra mile for me by demonstrating studio monitors and telling me everything I needed to know about them. Really awesome dude you have working there. I’m also super happy with my KRK 5’s. I will be back to upgrade ASAP.

Meet Dottie. Shes the Epiphone in one of the pics. I got her at Sam Ash, and she has quickly become my #1 guitar. The other picture is my pedalboard, and several of those beauties came off the Sam Ash shelf. The prices are good, the selection is great, and the people there really make the difference. If youre going to buy from a music store, this is the only place I would recommend. If youre selling it trading, theyll give you a fair price too (although I would recommend selling stuff yourself before going to any store for a trade-in). The GM is a 100% class act. They have all the regular stuff, and they also have brass, woodwinds, and orchestral instruments (horns, violins, etc)... Dont know if you can find that stuff anywhere else.Its an awesome place if youre looking to buy...or just dream.

I was heading to Guitar Center and Notice Sam Ash .. So i took a right instead of a left..I ended up spending. Nearly 500 bucks. Without a regret..Very Friendly staff.

We have various instruments in this house. If I have an issue, need a repair, need new gear, or need recommendations, I have never been dissatisfied in the least with the help I get from these guys. I have been to other places in the past, but strictly stick with Sam Ash now. Don’t get me wrong. Other places have their pluses, but Sam Ash (my store in Jax Florida) is just comfortable in every aspect. My son was looking to upgrade his drum set. He sees a few. There was a DW on the top shelf. They got up on a ladder without question. Took the thing down. Set up a few things and let him play. Then also took a kick drum down from another set. Not many places will do this immediately. It was a chore. My son loved it and off it went with us. The set was ready to be picked up by another person and the guy had upgrades put on. He changed his mind and went with something different. He told Sam Ash to leave the stuff on the set. They sold the set at the same price as the one without the upgrades. Sure, they were paid for already, but they could have upped the price or even taken the stuff off and resold it for more profit. That, to me, is great customer service.

UPDATE: After seeing this review, the GM called me personally to apologize and offer a make right. Upping the review to 3 stars because the BUYING experience is really good. Theyre currently the only store in my area that lets you actually get hands on with items, including drum sets. Salespeople are friendly and knowledgeable.The selling experience, not so much...I can recommend buying hear from Sam Ash, but youre far better off sell hear on Craigslist or FB Marketplace

Ordered a used amp used from one of their stores and the staff was all incredibly helpful and friendly when answering my questions on it. Also the shipping price was great, only $20 to have FedEx ship a 50 pound amplifier.

Ive made a few visits to Sam Ashe, not always to buy something, but sometimes just to browse and check out the equipment. Always greeted with a smile, but was allowed to look around without an annoying salesman shadowing you like a hawk.However ehen I was ready to buy something the salesmen have been attentive, friendly and professional and knowledgeable, eager to help and answer questions. I remember on one visit I had a difficult hook up question and the sslesman spent about 20 minutes with me helping me to see what I needed and how to make the necessary connections. As result my purchases only amounted to about $30 dollars, but I still got excellent service.

Went to sell a violin. It was a no-name make so they couldnt identify it for proper appraisal but still offered $30 to take it off my hands (I didnt mind, it was a cheap flea market violin). The rep was a nice guy and tried to motivate me to get back into playing again some day.

I really want to give this experience “ZERO” stars! Customer service was horrible! I went into the store already knowing what I wanted. Once I located the item and requested assistance in getting the item down from a high shelf, the clerk began to question me, asking why I wanted this particular item, and I told him. He begin to say that the product I wanted was not good for my purpose. Then he gave me some false information about the product, in which I ask him, are you sure about that because I just researched this product a few days ago. He looked the product up online, and he was wrong with his information. All this happened while I waited for someone to get “what I wanted” off the high shelf. Ridiculous! They didnt try to push any particular products, brand names, or try to sell me anything I didnt need. LJ was very helpful at the Blanding store. I saw the one I wanted for my daughter but waited several days and when I went back it was gone. LJ ordered the same one and I felt confident it would be here by Christmas and it was. I picked it up today and he took it out if the box to do a first time tuning and stretch the strings. Very happy with every staff encounter the three times I was in for this purchase.
