I cannot say enough praise to Julie. Last week I was just wandering around the site killing time between errands. Julie introduced herself and didn’t try to “sell” me a car. She helped me narrow down my reasonings for 1) needing a car and 2) what some of the functions I needed. Her instruction intrigued me and I did test drive a vehicle down in Champaign where I was headed for a visit. That dealership did not have exactly what I wanted but the team at Janesville quickly (by the following day) located and obtained exactly what I wanted (even my first choice of color). I would give them zero if I could. Cold calling me on a Friday night regarding a car they didn’t have. At the end of the discussion….on a Friday night…they wanted to pre sell me a car. Again, they knew I needed a car immediately. They didn’t have any of the type I wanted and they called me on a Friday night. I have asked them to leave me alone and they won’t. I wouldn’t buy a car from them under any circumstances.

I made an appointment to test drive a specific used vehicle after the dealership reached out to me. They texted me, which was convenient. My appointment was for the same day. I live over an hour away. When I got there, the salesman (not the same as the online appointment setter), said the car was taken in for a repairs a few days ago and won’t be ready for another few days and pointed towards other cars that were $6,000-10,000 over the price of the car that I drove over an hour (EACH WAY) to see. I wasted over 2 and a half hours of a precious day off from work. Unbelievable. Lying scam artists that have absolutely ZERO respect for their (potential) customers or their time. Will never be back here again.

A few days ago I drove three hours to test drive a used vehicle here. Nia, one of the online salespersons, responded right away to my questions and even sent me extra pictures within just a few minutes. When I decided to drive down, I had a very pleasant experience. Deana was my salesperson and was great, everyone seemed very pleasant and the atmosphere was very friendly and laid back. The employees seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs and enjoy working together. I purchased the vehicle and even got a good rate financing through the dealership. Financing was a breeze. I was very pleased overall with my experience.The only negative that I experienced was that the vehicle had not been detailed. I would recommend to the dealership that they detail the vehicles before putting them out on the lot as that would also make the cars more attractive to potential buyers. I would have deducted a star from the review for this, but I had such a good experience otherwise that I genuinely can’t complain.Easy, laid back, and friendly! Thank you Nia, Deana, and the crew!

I live 3 hours away and I scheduled an appointment online to make sure the car I wanted to test drive and purchase was there and ready. I got a confirmation email about what I needed to do to purchase the vehicle. I get there and the salesman tells me that he didnt know the car was there until we asked about it. He told us we cant test drive it or buy it because it was scheduled for inspection because it was just traded in. We asked about another car we were interested in and he said that we couldnt see that car either because it hadnt been inspected either. We finally agreed to test drive a 3rd vehicle and it was filthy inside. It had not been cleaned yet either. Why should we bother to schedule appointments if the car we are test driving is not ready when we get there?

Not happy. Bought the vehicle I was looking for here. Whenever I asked questions about the vehicle they did not seem to know any answers. I had done a lot of research on my own and decided it was the right car for me. In the 2 months since I have had several issues with it and they basically told me I am out of luck and it is my problem now. Not happy with the service or the way they stand behind their vehicles.

I stopped by at your dealership last week and drove an Outback. The salesmen was very knowledgeable and helpful. He e-mailed me various options if I wanted to purchase or lease a new Outback. He list as an add on anti-thief insurance. When I questioned the charge he explain what it was and that he couldnt remove the charge. Why is this dealership making this a requirement? It just doesnt make sense. It appears that this dealership only responds to people who give them 5 stars.

Dont from noel or anyone at this location, I live in Nebraska and after countless phone calls and research about Subaru of Janesville I decided to drive 500 miles one way to get a reliable vehicle from reputable source however that is not what I got when I got to the dealership the vehicle was not detailed as promised it was a used vehicle so there was still some pet hair in the back seat I thought little bit of pet hair is not too bad so I decided to purchase the vehicle everything seems sound and brought it home on a trailer after about a week or two driving it in town I noticed 3rd and 4th gear were a little sketchy little grind e going in out of 4th gear took it to the transmission shop ended up needing 3rd gear 4th gear synchros going into 3rd gear and 4th gear in a new bearing also the linkages word measuring correctly so I called Novak to disclose him this information he told me it was not his fault and stuff happens all the time so I am responsible for spending another $3,000 on rebuilding a transmission on a vehicle that I thought was a good vehicle from decent people boy was I wrong should have never went to Wisconsin in the first place they do not know how to be honest or conduct business in an honest manner they cant even get the election right

Dropped my car off on a Saturday. Was told they would check it out on Monday. Almost two weeks went by and I had not gotten a single phone call. So I call that day and was told they would return my call. After waiting all day for the return call. I went to the dealership to get some answers about my car. I was told that they had taken the car out multiple times. They said the transmission was acting normal. I reset trip B odometer to see what they would and marked transmission check plugs. They drove the car a total of 26 miles and didnt pull a sample of fluid from the transmission. I know that techs get paid on flat rate. So I understand that they have limited time to look at possible warranty problem. I am a mechanic myself and I hold others to have the same pride and quality as I put into my work. The lack of any notification about my car is completely unacceptable. This is my third new Subaru Forester. I also understand I didnt by the car from them but I expect better service than that being that is still under warranty.

Friendly laid back dealership! In Columbus, OH, had a salesman guilt trip me into a certain car. He tried selling me a car I didnt want- it was just a car he chose (we were shopping for a truck. Yea- a pick up truck). I havent liked dealerships since. Fast forward to Janesville Subaru: Spoke with salesman John Fager- he makes it a priority to accommodate drivers needs. He has experience and will help you find a car, even if its from one of the other 24 lots. I was surprised about the number of lots! Nice variety of used cars. Small but cool kids playroom. I was in search of a more fuel efficient reliable vehicle, not quite sure what I wanted. Went through Janesville Subaru on a cold snowing afternoon and met up with salesman Austin Armstrong who happened to be out shoveling. He asked if we would like any cars cleared off, we said no as we were just looking at that point. Told him what the demands were and that if I see anything I will let him know. Visited two other dealers close by, no one came out of the second one and number three had the most obnoxious salesman(Shane I believe-Kia) I have ever met. He was beyond pushy, wanted us to go into the office so he could get our information, we told him we were only looking, kept harassing my fiancee even after he told him it was me that was looking on at least three occasions, it was then I knew I had to deal with Austin who wasnt just looking for a sale. I called Austin back and have him some other details about what I was looking for and he said he knew of what will work perfect for me and emailed the link to it. I was very surprised at the fact that he actually listened and was dead on for all the features that I wanted. Priced right and less than other dealers within fifty miles. Went in the next morning and signed the papers! I have bought many cars and I would say that this purchase was above and others in the area! Austin even called a few days later to see if I had additional questions on all of the features. I will recommend Janesville Subaru and Austin to anyone that is looking and doesnt want to get jerked around!

Your welcoming and friendly service department took care of the recalled Takada passenger side airbag on my 2013 Forester, which has gone 95k absolutely trouble free miles. I personally had a great experience at Janesville Subaru, I took my 99 outback in with a check engine light and a blinking AT light, The service advisor Jonathan was very helpful in getting the car in and giving me a loaner car for the night. The next day he kept in contact with me to keep me up to date on what the mechanic was determining the problem was. When the car was ready, it was a quick in and out process and the car felt brand new. This is your shop.Not a single employee was wearing a mask, there was no semblance of any social distancing whatsoever. Given the overall attitude I could see, I highly doubt the place is taking any extra steps to clean or otherwise disinfect (even though their website says they are sorta-kinda doing something).If you or anyone you interact with is at risk, avoid this shop. We had already taken a test drive of a Subaru Crosstrek and wanted both the colour we wanted, the features we wanted, and of course a price we were prepared to pay. Janesville Subaru met all of our expectations and worked with us in a professional way. Great service, as always.Went in for a schedule oil change, and multi-point inspection. I love that they take appointments here. So you know your time slot, instead of taking the chance theyll be slammed busy.Battery test failed, were in the northern United States, and of course getting hit with extreme cold with January, and February here. Glad to know the battery needed to be replaced! This could have saved a lot of hassle with a roadside call. She wrote down what we told her about what we wanted/needed in a car and paid very close attention to us the entire time we were at the dealership. We were not pressured into financing. The price negotiation process felt respectful and collaborative rather than adversarial, and everything was done in writing to avoid miscommunication. Once we agreed to purchase the car, the paperwork was done very quickly and Gus, the employee who helped us sign the forms, was more than willing to answer all our questions. We never felt rushed even though we came in at the end of the day, and the overall process was very painless.Julie also called us a few days after the purchase to make sure we were satisfied, and when we expressed concern about a smell of cigarette smoke that was developing in the car, she followed up with the service department about product recommendations for getting the smell out. We will definitely return to this dealership and work with Julie for future vehicle purchases if possible.
