Its no ones fault at Bob Clapper Automotive. There is a problem with factory installed Sirius XM antenna/radio. It wasnt easy to track it down. Between Dan and Tracy I was kept informed. Still not solved, but I am confident it will be.

I had an express clean on my truck and the crew did an amazing job! After our recent trip to SD and CO the interior of the truck (dark interior with leather seats) had dust and dirt literally everywhere and now it is spotless. I would highly recommend the cleaning services.

Chris service manager is the best. We stopped going to Budweiser in beloit because they refused my best friends guide dog (he is visually impaired) in a loaner vehicle. Came to Bob Clapper and have never looked back. Chris goes into detail of the service performed, and this is the only dealer I can honestly say they do not try and up sale you. If they can help you out they will. The lady that charges you at the end is super awesome as well, very professional and very nice. As a veteran and a minority this dealership has made me feel equal to any other customer, superb service and superb pricing as well. also a big shout out to the courtesy drivers who go the extra mile to make you feel safe and well taken care of. I was very disappointed, cause when I explained that I would like them to check my emergency brake out cause Im unable to push down on the foot of it and cant use my foot on it only my toes. He told me that its mechanical and its suppose to be like that. Ive had cars with the emergency brake was on the floor before, never had any problems with it. He wouldnt even have it checked out. Im going to have to take it somewhere else to have it checked. I live in Watertown drive almost an hour to go there. Up to now I thought it was worth it. But Im serious about going somewhere closer!

Fast food car service. Lost my keys, made 2 trips. $150 later and reprogramming them as the paperwork stated, my vehicle starts 1/8 of the time. I was told the issue must have been preexisting. Not so. It began the very next day. Discussed with the key department and the associate was very rude and argumentative. Clapper wanted to charge me a diagnosis fee. Seriously? No. The issue didnt start until Bonnie made my new keys. Period. Dont go here. Fast Food High Priced BS! When I came through the drive, the hood of my vehicle was opened without my permission nor in my view. Unacceptable. I may be an older woman, however Im NOT stupid when it comes to mechanics and shops.

I found, online, a used box truck at Bob Clapper that was very close to what I was looking for at what seemed to be a fair price for our Non Profit located in the Twin Cities of MN. Since that type of truck has been very hard to find due to COVID issues, I decided it would be worth a 320 mile drive (one way). Mark and his team at the Commercial Truck division were very helpful before the journey, had the truck ready for a test drive when I arrived and were very helpful in making sure I could quickly begin the journey back home. Other than hitting a lot of that early October snow driving back to Minnesota, the trip home went well. It was a long day but well worth it and I would gladly make the trip again for future purchases.

My engine died after I went through a puddle. Not good on a vacation. Despite being a holiday weekend, Jason Tyler in the service department was able to get my car in, diagnose the problem, and got it fixed earlier than estimated. His service and manner were excellent! If this is typical of the Clapper team, Ill recommend them to anyone.

I took my Cruze in to Bob Clapper to have an engine noise checked out. They got it in within 2 days and Tom my Service Advisor was fantastic. He answered all of my questions when I dropped it off and he got back to me with the problem the next day. Tom explained what the problem was and suggested a couple of more things that it needed but were my choice whether to fix or not. After I okd the work Tom said it would be ready the next day in the afternoon but called the same day and said it was done and ready to pick up. The cost was far lower than I expected it to be so I am very happy about that. When I got there it was ready and freshly washed. The Service Tech Jim L did a great job and it runs better than ever. I will be taking my car back to Bob Clapper when it needs service again. Thank You Tom, Jim and everyone there

Because I have very little car knowledge, I typically have some anxiety when getting my car serviced. At some service centers the process isnt clear. This was my first time getting my old changed since purchasing my vehicle and Bob Clappers had very clear signage/directions, employees that proactively guided me through the process, and they made me feel valued as a customer.Scheduling my appointment online was very easy. Dan was my customer service rep and he was very knowledgeable, kind, and kept me updated with any delays as my vehicle was being serviced. Thank you!

Fast and friendly service..Im just kinda disappointed with the car wash when its done and its not even dry and the water leaves a good white marks all over my black truck. Carwash should make your vehicle look clean not look like its covered in white specs 😞

Have a good parts department. Not well treated on recall repair they only read gasketed one valve cover on a two valve cover engine. I just dont think much of general motors products so I probably wouldnt go there. I think the service department is probably pretty good and they treat you nice. They have a shuttle.In the distant past when I brought in a Chevrolet product with a problem the typical answer was operating as designed you cant make silk out of a pigs ear. Just my opinion

The last time I had my oil changed I was told that the coolant was low. I have been keeping an eye on it and it was low when I had my oil changed the other day last week. the difference being no one said anything about it last week . Then I looked through my service papers and there is no mention of it in them eitherI mentioned it to the service rep and he said your service department would try to find where it was leaking but if they could not find the leak it would cost me about 100.00 dollars. I think GM should be more proud of their vehicles and their service!

Let me start by saying everyone on their staff has been very courteous and the one star doesnt reflect on them. It does however reflect on the fact they did not stand behind their work. I recently had an oil change done and now 200 miles later there is a large pool of oil under my truck coming from the oil filter. I know mistakes happen, but when Im told the best they can do is to get me in 4-5 days from now to me is unacceptable when the service department is ultimately at fault. It would take 10 minutes to replace the oil and filter, but now I will have to pay for another oil change 200 miles later. You just lost one customer. Please fix your mistakes in the future before you lose more.

I had an airbag recall done, waited for an hour. That’s how long I was told it would take. After I left I realized that the dash board was not put back together correctly. I went back and they fixed it but I didn’t realize that they actually broke it, I thought it was a seam in the dashboard but just today while I was cleaning it, I realized that they cracked it.

Got an oil change on my 2016 Terrain since it was already here to have other work done. Yesterday the oil light came on. After reviewing the bill, it went a whopping 1,489 miles before that light came on. I generally go to a local place to get it done (and have had no issues) but got it done here once out of convenience. That was obviously a mistake. I just got off the phone with the Service Department and Dan and they couldn’t provide a reason as to why it would’ve come up. “They must’ve forgotten to reset it.” And do we know how to do it, or do we need them to? First off: ... we went to a dealership because we expect quality service for the price. We shouldn’t have to do anything when that is what you were PAID for. In the future, it is a good recommendation to just do it correctly the first time. Needless to say, I’m not driving back to Janesville for obviously shoddy service with POOR quality control. If anyone needs a reputable person to do an oil change, I recommend Jim’s in Milton. They have done over 30 oil changes on several cars and have never not completed the work, like this place did. It was a good lesson to never go back here.

I had to bring my truck on because they missed a repair when they did there inspection. They were supposed to also look at my wireless charging system an they didnt. I was because pushed out the door after the missed repair was done. On top of that they didnt wash my truck! Im so disappointed that I was treated like that.

Bought a pre-owned vehicle one year and 6 months earlier from Clapper. Put less then 8000 on the vehicle. Transmission went out on it with Clapper offering to fix the transmission for a cost of 6000. Clapper never offered to work with us or make any suggestions with ways of help. Clapper then offered a trade in cost of 5500. So after a year and a half of having the vehicle and driving less then 8000 miles on it. The offered a price of 500 less then what the repair would have cost. I will never do business with them again and all recommendations will go to other dealers in the area.

I have been taking my 04 buick to Bob Clapper for the last 6 years and they have generally treated me well despite being a little pricey. I was going to look for a new car from them and will no longer be doing so after the last service visit.I have a 04 century buick that had signal/light issue on the driver side. This required them to replace the light housing. Before i took it in the driver side bright lights worked. After they replaced the housing for the light the driver side lights no longer worked at all. This required a replacement of the wires. Since this section worked before the replacement and did not work after the replacement the responsibility should fall on Bob to replace them at their own cost.Lastly, Bob Clapper had mailed out a discount worth up to $50 for a cost over $500. I was asked to give it to them and they never provided the discount of the $50 to the agreed upon price that I ended up paying.
