Sometimes Ive gotten really good deals on meat. Everything is so expensive these days. When I can get a good deals on meat I call that a win!

So glad this place is on my way home. When I get off work, I am tired. At Save A Lot, I can park close to the store entrance and walk in to be greeted by friendly, hard-working members of my community. I usually find exactly what I need to fix my dinner, and am checked out and on my way home within minutes. Rather than use plastic bags, I take my groceries home in cardboard boxes, which I know can be recycled easily. This evening I decided to try the beef imported from Mexico. i could see that it was fresh and nicely marbled. I was afraid it might not taste good and might be tough. The price was attractive, however. so I decided to be adventuresome. I also picked up three broccoli crowns. What a great supper! The rib eye was perfect - tender and flavorful. I also picked up some special treats for my mother, who is in a nursing home: Cookies, Arnold Palmer tea, wine, and snack foods. If I had done all this shopping at a larger grocery or big box store, I would have spent two or three times as much time. Save A Lot is a great place for me and my neighbors. A special shout-out to the Jefferson City staff -- all friendly and hard-working!

Good selection and prices

The only time I visit this one is when Im down here in Jeff but have always had a good experience at the store.

Decent prices and you get in and out much faster than Wal-Mart.

Pros: The cashiers are always friendly and there is plenty of parking.It has a pretty good meat selection, there is always a buy 5 for $19.99. Not bad if you are running low on funds for meals for a week.Cons: I gave them 2 stars because you have to watch the expiration dates on a lot of the packaged foods and I NEVER buy produce from this store~ always 1/2 rotted or have bugs.

Moat of the time the meat is fresh. Store is clean. Great staff. I did once get a bag of potatoes that were bad and I was offered a refund right away.

Store employees are so friendly.And the store seems to be always in order.I appreciate that aisles are always clear.Stocking must be done at night.As it should be.Thankful for that.

Love save a lot. Saves my life when the checking account is getting low before pay day. You can make that 20 bucks stretch here. Some meats youre better off cooking right away or if you thaw it out, cook the whole pack, dont refreeze, but I love them when money is an issue

Lower prices on fresh fruit and veggies. They have several different house brands in coffee pods that have made waking up so much nicer. Check out the McDaniels dark roast and the Margarita brand Pirates gold pods.

Save-A-Lot grocery store is a good store to get in and out its about the size of a Dollar General. This one has plenty of parking and is right next to the Catholic High School and church also across from East Elementary School. It has fairly good hours and when you check out they have boxes or bags for you to load your groceries and yourself

Well what can I say about Save A Lot? Hmmm, well how about the truth, which is what I like to be in these things anyway as truthful as I can be from my perspective. Other than there five for 25 which usually is a really good deal 5 packs of meat for $25 worth it 90% of the time. Stores like this are just out price by the big box stores and what choice does he have but to have some items that are way too expensive for what they are. And seeing as its located on what is arguably Jefferson Citys poorest part of town I know I live there Im really surprised theyre still in business. And the prices are cause and effect of the Wal-Marts and Sams. Overall if you need something quick you dont feel like dealing with the traffic on Missouri Boulevard save-a-lots for place to go

I think this is a really good place for student especially when they need to save money. You can almost get everything similar in other supermarket but it’s cheaper here. I guess that’s why they say it is save a Lot

I shop here when I need just a few items. Its not a large store. Its always easy to get in and out of if youre in a hurry. The prices are fair and customer service is great. Its a very clean store.

I love this chain, we had them back home in SoCal and it was nice to see them here in Missouri. I have shopped here many times, its truly the only place I buy meat, especially for a party.The staff for the most part are friendly, but not overly so and the store is generally clean and organized.They dont bag your groceries, so be prepared to do it yourself, checks, credit cards and EBT cards accepted.

Always get good friendly customer service and great prices. They have excellent fresh cut meat too.

Great staff and decent selection of foods. Only complaint is the produce section being close to the doors. Often gnats are flying around produce.

Employees are courteous/friendly/attentive.

Some of the customers can look kinda shady but all in all a good one stop shop if you are in a hurry to grab some groceries.
