Ice cream tasted great and was not that expensive for our group of 7. Everyone got a 2 scoop waffle cone, except for 2 small cups. My score is low because staff was not very friendly. I even asked If they liked their job because no one smiled. They acted if less pleased to be there. Staff was loud in their conversations. It was when we were leaving and they were all in a group talking, our children said goodbye and thank you. At this point they did smile and wave. The bathroom was dirty and there is not a changing table in the bathroom. We will be taking our business elsewhere where, a place we feel welcomed from start to finish.

Central Dairy is a personal favorite of mine. Delicious ice cream in a throw back atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only complaint is their hours, but I appreciate the value they place on the family lives of their employees.

The ice cream is worth the trip from wherever you are. I lost count of the flavors, there are over 20. The service is very well organized and lots of smiling helpful staff on hand. We went in behind a group of over a dozen and were served and paid in less than 10 minutes. The store is downtown in a congested area, three is private parking across a busy street and we were there on a weekend.

Absolutely enjoyed their ice cream! I normally have stomach trouble with ice cream BUT did not have any of that with their yummy Butter Pecan ice cream! I will definitely be going back the next time that I am in Jeff City :)

Your typical diner style old fashion ice cream parlor. Sure some of the flavours taste similar but its more of the experience that left me satisfied. The plastic containers the large 2 flavour size is served in are cute!

Great place to stop if youre going through Jeff City. Its right off of the highway about two blocks. Nice family atmosphere. There are seats indoors or a few park benches outside. Multiple flavors of ice cream and malts. There is parking along the street and a parking lot across. The prices are reasonable and even though you request one scoop, that equals 2.

Great place to stop for a treat! Every kind of Central Dairy ice cream imaginable, even ones that are hard to find in stores. Cherry Vanilla is the best! Could be better with a few picnic tables instead of a couple parking spaces.

We love the Central Dairy Ice Cream Parlor! They carry flavors that we cant get in our area. Prices are reasonable for what you get. We live 2 hours away so its a real treat to make the drive and get those giant banana splits! They are always friendly and fast. Go get some delicious ice cream and enjoy our beautiful State Capitol!

This place is a Jefferson City classic. Hand scooped ice cream, served in generous portions, all for a very reasonable price. You can easily treat the kids, significant other, or just yourself without a feeling guilty about the expense. If you live in the JC area, you know this is a great place to take your out of town guest to experience an authentic Central Missouri dessert.

Central Dairy is a Jefferson City staple. Lots of flavors to pick from. Its a nice place to go on a hot day. My only complaint is the seating. It is limited and there isnt any outside seating either. The place is always packed, so plan on a wait in a line. If youre one of the lucky ones to grab a seat, youll have to deal with a crowd of butts in your face. Im not sure why they havent invested in a larger location, as it is always packed. Ill throw it up to 5 stars if they ever fix the seating issue.

This was the first time my daughter experienced Central dairy ice cream shop and it was perfect from the way its set up to how good the ice cream is the classic vanilla is always the go-to thanks for keeping this store up and running

Had my doubts that this was the best ice cream in the state (was told this on the katy trail). But it is! Had The Rock: rocky road, nuts, hot fudge and whipped cream. Delicious and will return.

First off I would like to say, Please respect the Enter/Exit doors. We went in the wrong door and were walking the wrong way down the ice cream counter. This could cause a real problem if the place is really busy! However, I would also like to note that even though we entered the wrong way, which I am sure annoyed them, as it should have, the workers were still polite, greeted us with smiles and several May I Help Yous. We actually only went in because my daughter and her family had gone in, and were having ice cream, and I needed the restroom....🤭... My daughter had ice cream for me, just a small one, and I could not eat all of that. We had just had lunch. The ice cream was very good. Every time I make it to Jefferson City, I try to stop by here. It is one of our special stops! So if you like nice workers and ice cream, this is the place to go!!!

Always packed every time we visit but the employees move the line fast. Husband and I got one scoop in a dish each at $2 a scoop. I got Extreme Extreme Moose Tracks, him Tiger Tracks. Its always so good and made in house. They prefer cash, so bring it if you can. Keeps their costs and prices low by avoiding card fees.

The Central dairy ice cream parlor is so good that my car drives itself there. They have so many flavors and so many combinations that are excellent, I hate to comment. Jamoka almond fudge is my favorite. They can make it into a milkshake, a malted, a banana split, you name it, they do it. The ice cream is first level, top notch, the best.

This is and has been the most popular ice cream establishment in Jefferson city for years. I have heard stories of out of state people buying ice cream packing in dry ice to bring to another person for a special treat. Many varieties available to try, and limited inside seating.

I visit Central Dairy quite a bit. They have reasonable prices, pleasant service, generous scoop amts and the ice cream is delicious! Ive been going since I can remember🙂 I recommend, if you have a few minutes, stop in and enjoy!

Ive always liked this place and their ice cream. They now have more flavors and Ive always received a good attitude from the workers. Its not a fancy place with exotic mixings, but a good local ice cream parlor.

It is SO good! The servings are huge, so you may want to share with someone. I got a single serve of their Extreme Moose Tracks, and it was huge, but so delicious!

Ice cream buckets were dirty from flavors being dropped into them from other buckets and no one cleaned them up. Buckets of ice cream were sitting on top of other open buckets. Really unappetizing. I will not go back.

My family visited Central Dairy today for the first time. The ice cream is so good and you get a lot for your money. Was very disappointed by how we were treated by a certain young female employee... she was seemed to be in a bad mood and was on her phone while working.

Loved visiting this place while visiting Jefferson City. There are so many flavors, Im sure even the pickiest ice cream eater can find something they will like. I was also impressed with the price of a small ice cream cup and the amount they mound into the cup. Definitely worth stopping by if youre in town (even when its cold outside)!

Central Dairy is a must visit in Jeff City. The ice cream is excellent and you get a lot for the money. We were passing through and visited today and were disappointed by how we were treated by a staff member named Natalie. Everyone else was kind and tried to cover for her rudeness but how she was treating customers was unacceptable.

I was disappointed in the service. There was about 4 or 5 people working on a Sunday, nobody behind our family of 5, but I still felt rushed. I felt like the servers expected us to know what we want and didn’t like that we wanted to take some time to look over the menu. They weren’t friendly and even grouped up to whisper to each other while they waited for us to make our decision. When we paid for the meal, the cashier taking the money was rude in tone and demeanor when she spoke to us.
