I came to this place for a minor repair which cost 1.3k in total - fine as other body shops quoted 1.1-1.2k. But because this shop is within Geico’s network. Scheduled to pick up the car and I’m so glad I did two things that I would recommend you to do if you come to this place:1. Take a video of the car when you do the initial inspection. Take pictures of all the places they point out that need to be repaired. And take a copy of all the documents. They have a paper that specified the spots.2. When you come pick up the car, don’t rush to pay first, go inspect the car carefully to make sure things are good. Pay attention to the small things as they are going to rush you to leave.like other low rating comments below, my car suffered additional scratches from driver door to passenger door not on the same side of the required repair. I had a hard time talking to the owner as he was trying to argue that those scratches were already there and he was busy(I took time off to come here and expected a fast pick up, you wasted my time?! And everyone is busy?!) he went to his computer and tried to see if any photos were taken to prove that but no luck. So he eventually agreed to figure them out and ended up asking Juan(who seemed like a nice person that has been working there for 30 years!) to do some polishing. I’m new to cars but apparently those scratches are still there after I came home.And my required repair was not 100% done and I had to ask them to do some additional work. They kept saying it was minor and not to worry about it?!Ironically, when I came into the shop the first thing the owner said was to provide 3 months warranty i case I see anything not right, but refused or very reluctant to help after I spotted issued right there?!To me this place doesn’t seem like an honest place to do business, despite the relative high ratings among jersey city body shops, unfortunately.

Great experience and wonderfully nice owners! Walked in thinking I would have to make an appointment to get a minor detail fixed on my car. A mechanic quickly checked it and said it was an easy fix. The owners also were there that day and took a quick look. Simple gluing of the piece they said. I asked for a price, they noted it’s very minor and would just help me out! They are absolutely amazing and I intend to bring my car here again in the future!

I had a great experience with this shop after someone damaged my car from a parking accident. They were recommended by my insurance company at the time and the process was seamless. Polite staff and everything was professional. I was pleased with the work. Marisa even addressed a small issue I had after the fact - which was very much appreciated.

My experience at east Coast collision was great it started off kind of rough due to me having a bad morning before I arrived,but the gentleman who I found out later was the owner stepped right up as if we had known one another for ever so after setting up a date I had the pleasure of meeting his beautiful daughter who was just as pleasant and considerate and along came Mike who further assessed the problem with the confidence and concern that put me further at ease and the rest was what I would call magic got the call a few days later fantastic job and if there were any more stars than 5 they would have every one. I took my Mustang in after an incident, and had a smooth, premium experience.I first went in for a quote, which was done w/ ease and promised to me that the quote doesnt expire.Then, I dropped my car (2) weeks later, and as they promised, the quote didnt expire.The work is of great value. my car looked BRAND NEW. Everyone i spoke with was friendly. REALLY REALLY appreciate them. I highly recommend.Ill give them 20 starts if i could.

I had my Lexus IS250 repaired here after an accident. The staff at East Coast was very friendly and helpful. The work was top notch and within 2 weeks, I got my car back good as new.

The process to fix a vehicle can be so exhausting, but I was grateful to find East Cost. They are really a gem in Jersey City. The overall staff was extremely attentive from my first visit to vehicle delivery. When I received my car back it was above and beyond what I expected. They took the time to clean and detail the interior, explain every minuet detail that was done, gave me a high-five, and all the energy to recommend them to everyone that needs auto body work. All this to say, thanks for being awesome! ;)

This place is horrible for everything that they do. Melissa, or whatever her name is, needs some customer couching skills a big time.Hence, she should not be handeling customers complaints. Besides, she is rude nasty and awful individual. I was sent with Geico to this place, boy were they wrong for sending me here. Mario, manager there supper rude too. But, Once i spoke to Melissa over the phone i know why is he acting the way that he does. It all comes from her. Run a way from this place. Save yourself time and money. Horrible customer service..I

Although I am not proud that I had to go to a body shop twice in last year, I couldn’t have been more happier that I chose East Coast Collision. Last year, my First visit, I didn’t have to wait, they were friendly (this is a body shop?) and I was able to rent my car at location. Car was done on time and looked new again. This past visit which btw was today. I brought it in this morning at arranged time, representative was so friendly. I picked up rental and out in 15 minutes. But it gets better, at 4 pm, I was called and was informed car was ready. Picked it up and it looked great.. again!Place is amazing.

I really have to say, you feel the love in this place as soon as you walk in the door. They truly treat you like family. I had the pleasure of working directly with Rich, Chris, and the receptionist Stephanie.I came in first thing Tuesday November 20th just to get a quote on fixing my rear bumper. I had a lease and didnt want any additional charges from Nissan. I was in and out in 22 minutes with a very generous quote for my bumper and a little touch up paint here and there. I returned Friday November 23rd to have the work completed. To my surprise they lowered my quoted price by $100 and guaranteed it would be completed by noon which it was! They even went the extra mile by taking the car to the car wash. I was so pleased with the work that was done. I was able to have my lease inspection within the hour of leaving and Im happy to report I had no additional charges thanks to these guys.This is the best experience I have ever had with an auto body shop. I definitely plan on singing their praises and recommending them to friends and family!

Highly recommended. Did an awesome job fixing a scratch that spanned 4 panels (bumper, front fender, front door, rear door). Matched the paint color with the existing and even had the scratch on my rim repaired (looks brand new). Everyone was courteous and extremely professional. Chris also offered to fix some minor chips in my hood as a courtesy.

Employee is so rude! And the most ridiculous things is I cannot decide which part I want to fix... according to them, if you just want to fix two nails, you need to pay 2k to change the half of the car!!!

I had a great experience at east coast collision. They delivered my vehicle 2 days before the schedule delivery date and quality of their work was absolutely great. The best thing about this place is that their staff is very nice who listens to you and take great care of your vehicle. They keep you informed at each and every stage through carwise and they follow up with phone calls. I would highly recommend this place.

I recently needed a body shop and this one was covered by Geico, and had good reviews. I am skeptical of mechanics/body shops but dropped off my car at the appointed time, and was surprised to find a friendly, thoughtful group of staff that were ready for me precisely when I arrived. The paperwork was quick and sensible, and they made sure I had a full understanding of the process. The Enterprise rent-a-car people were late to give me my loaner, so the shop owner gave me a personal tour to explain what would happen to my car, and to introduce me to his staff. I was kept in the loop via text messages during the entire process, and when I picked the car up, it looked fantastic and all paperwork was in order. I was probably in the shop a total of 20 minutes or less, not including the time that was Enterprises fault, and while I hope to not need a body shop again, I recommend this establishment in the highest terms.

Worst place ever do not use this place1st they did repairs on my E550 Benz hood and front headlight. My headlight starts taking in water and they tell me that I must have did it and its not covered under warranty but instead Mike tells me pay him $580 cash and he will fix. Take my word never ever ever use this place once I said f this give me back my car Ill go another place and pick up my car half my stuff inside is missing and now nobody understands English now . Place needs to be closed down

Update: they have fixed the damages they made to my car. They have also fixed my side mirrors and detailed the inside and replaced the door rubbers. I am happy with the latest update.I brought in my car because i ended up scraping the front bumper area on the passenger side, tail light, and back door area of driver side while going into a narrow driveway. I used them because they are part of the Geico express program. They told me the car was ready 4 days ago and when i went to pick up the car, some of the scrapes were still there. They told me to come back and they will let me know when it’s completed. They called me up today and told me the car is completed. The driver side door is broken with the paint peeled off and their are more scratches on the passenger door. I paid $500 deductible and they took $3k+ from my insurance to ruin

Brought my 11 year-old SUV here for repair of minor, self-inflicted damage. The place has the professional feel of a corporate shop but its a second-generation family business. Chris and his team treated me exceptionally well. Got daily updates on repair progress by text. As impressive as the quality of the shop work was the quality of the exterior wax/detail that they included as part of the service. In a word - incredible. Highly recommended!

Driving my 2011 F250 from Idaho to NYC on family vacation with our trailer. We got into an accident where my truck was pretty smashed up. East Coast went above and beyond with our insurance company and the wrecker to get our truck and trailer and their great customer service continued in getting our truck, and fifth wheel hitch repaired right and as quickly as possible. In a time and situation where in my mind my familys well being were at risk they came through royally. I will never forget how great they came through and cannot recommend them enough. Please, please, please consider them if you need your vehicle repaired.

Got my car inspected in 25min. No issues, everyone was very nice. There was a disgruntled customer who was accusing one of the workers with racism. The shop worker might have accidentally skipped this persons turn due to another eager customer stepping up but i don’t think that was race related. It was more like the usual stuff that happens in the service industry where a customer is skipped sometimes.

Had my Maxima done here through my insurance company after I hit a piece of debris which cracked my front bumper and destroyed the shield underneath.. they seemed to do a great job, but also it seems like my car was detail washed inside and out and looked all shiny and clean, tires polished and all. Bad service only look for money

I drive a 2014 Honda Accord, and was involved in a side end collision. My car was not only damaged on the side from the collision but had scratches, dents and rust.. damage. They not only fixed the damaged driver sides doors, but also fixed the dents, scratches, added protectant to the rust so it won’t get worse and even cleaned the car... I would’ve given them 5 stars but, my tire was flat when I left the garage and both auto-body mechanics saw, knew and didn’t say anything. They let me drive off with a flat back tire. Shame on you two. But I can not complain about the service....

After being rear ended in a snowstorm last week while driving on the NJ Pike I was bracing for impact (pun intended) of an expensive repair on my Audi’s bumper. Not only did ECC take my car in immediately, they fixed it in 30 mins while keeping the cost under my deductible. That’s right folks, it cost me $0 to have my car fixed. This is a family owned business where the entire family is there working and passing on their values to each of their amazing employees. What a great experience. I would give them 6 stars if Google allowed it.

I have a scrape on my front bumper and was searching for body shops to repair it. However, I cant speak on the quality of their service, as I decided to go elsewhere based on their unacceptable behavior towards my friend. The owner and his daughter try to act professional at the beginning because they are money hungry. My friend had an unfortunate accident, in which she was hit by a driver who ignored the stop sign. As a result, she hit another vehicle from the impact. The liable driver has a very low property damage of $10k, and the damage to my friends vehicle alone was about $9k. This is excluding the damage caused to the other vehicle. Because of this, the insurance company has not distributed funds as of yet. Although East Coast Collision had my friends car towed to their place for $800, they started pressuring her to sign an authorization to start working on the car. My friend explained the situation to them and the owner got belligerent saying that she used him for his services, when this is not the case. As an experienced paralegal specializing in motor vehicle accidents, I can attest that this process is not the fastest and it can become frustrating. He then proceeded to take advantage of her misfortune by giving her the ultimatum that he would start charging $50 per day for storage fees if she did not sign the authorization. At this point, she had the outstanding $800 to pay, plus the hidden storage fees of $400. This was never disclosed to her in writing and it was very insensitive of the owner. My friend paid the total of $1,200 in CASH, as they refused to accept any other form of payment and did not even bother to advise her of this before she made the trip over there carless. The owner then tried to inquire about where she was taking her car, as if all he saw is money signs drifting away. Bad business move sir! You have lost a former customer, because she repaired her car at your facility before. You have also lost a potential customer and I will let all my professional connections NOT to recommend your repair shop to our MVA clients!

I scratched my brand new Acura RDX above rear wheel on the passenger side by a roadside pole. I took my car to East Coast Collision Body Repair. I was received by a nice old guy who turned out to be the owner of the shop for over 50 years. He pointed out that the scratch could be pretty much fixed by buffing it out and if thats the case he wouldnt charge me anything. After 20 minutes work, the scratch was pretty much gone without close inspection. The only thing the owner suggested me to give is $10 tips for the worker, and the promise to come back if I have an actual accident in future. I gladly paid $20 rather than $10 tips to the worker.

I had a small crack on the bottom of my bumper from parallel parking and hitting snow that froze over. The damage was not bad at all, however; I decides to have it repaired. Something that should have taken a few days turned into a month. They went from replacing just the front bumper to replacing the bar behind the front bumper PLUS THE GRILL......I only found this information out because my mom just so happened to drive by and called me to tell me my car had NO FRONT (grill nor bumper). Weeks later I picked my car up and it looked worst then when I dropped it off. The paint job was patchy. Everything was off. NOTHING WAS DONE RIGHT PLUS I HAVE (new) DINGS IN MY REAR BUMPER THAT WAS NOT THERE BEFORE. Now I am out of a rental car and have to take a day off of work for them to RE-DO the work correctly(which will probably turn into three weeks).My first experience with them was great..this one...NOT SO MUCHI expected better from themNext time Ill go to the repair shop on Communipaw and Mallory

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee this place they are awesome, I couldnt get any financing anywhere due to my credit and East coast made sure i walked out the dealership with a vehicle :), they take there time and have patience, they dont rush you out the door when they are finish they make you feel like your family :) I will recommend east coast to everyone :)

This is not acceptable at all. I came to adjust the front bumper, they adjusted it but in the process broke several plastic bumper mounts and now the bumper is fixed very badly. Disgusting repairs. I dont recommend going to this place to anyone.

My girlfriend was supposed to have a free polish since during the course of the repair my girlfriends car suffered some scratches that were not there before the repair, they said that those scratches were already there but not and in the app where you supposed can look at the photos that were taken of the car, nothing is distinguished because the photos were taken with low quality and of course my girlfriend is sure that she did not leave the car with those scratches, when she took the car today for free polishing, no one from the staff knew that she was going for the polishing and she called was 3 times to confirm the appointment with Diana for today, who apparently is someone who does not know how to work, they said. The issue here is that they offered to cover the scratches on the car and polish it because they were going to use the same paint but in the end the car was repaired, but now it has more scratches than before and to compensate that they offered free polishing and after confirming the appointment 3 times no one knew the appointment and above all they began to ask where do you want the polish? Knowing that they offered a complete polish to the car to remove the scratches and this was before the repair and they did not want to do the polishing that they were supposed to have offered for today they are very busy today they said and they did not know for what time the car was going to be ready. The people who work there are very disorganized, they dont have communication with each other and I dont know why they put people who dont know to work avoid Diana

Picked up my car today and it looks brand new as if I just got it from the dealer shop, worth the wait. Only complain is, they had me waiting over a month and week after week they kept extending it and extending the due date when I can pick up my car. Other than that, great job!
