My visit to the Bike Hub was most impressive. The shop itself has a super chic-cool vibe and I was immediately greeted by smiling faces. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any of my questions. In addition to the large bicycle selection, the built-in repair shop is really convenient.

This place is a great! I went a few months back to get some attachments for my single speed. I went in earlier today to get my breaks adjusted.Julius gave me an estimate over the phone and had my bike ready before the initial estimate. He even filled the tires. Ill definitely be back if I need any service done on my bike.

This is the BEST bike shop in the Jersey City / Bayonne area. Working with Julius was extremely pleasant. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He sold me two bikes which were exactly what I was looking for. Buzz (The Owner) is also amazing to work with. He tried his best to install a two-car bike rack I purchased outside of his shop and gave me his expert advise not to use. He was kind enough to deliver the bikes to me personally! Such great service. I will def be back as this is the exclusive bike shop for me!

Im letting a friend borrow a bike of mine long term and took it to The Bike Hub to swap out the pedals and the stem. The guys at the shop serviced my bike quickly and took the time to ask about why I wanted to make changes and gave me a lot of useful feedback. They could have easily sold me the stem, but the owner was far more focused on making sure the bike was going to be a great fit for my friend and talked me out of it (at least for the time being) until shes put some miles on the bike. I really appreciated the insight and suggestions!

I bought a used bike from Craigslist trying to save money. The bike was in rough shape. The brake pads needed to be replaced, the chain falling off, etc. They fixed it up like new and were super friendly. Highly recommend

I have always wanted a foldable bike and found this place on Google with the best reviews around me and now I know why. They reserved the bike for me since when I called Saturday it wasnt assembled yet. I was able to get it today, and they went above and beyond to make sure my experience was the best it could possibly be. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. They informed me about EVERYTHING from my bike to helmets. I havent riden a bike in a long time so I wasnt used to the gear it was on originally, and the manager noticed right away and fixed it for me. He made sure I was comfortable with everything before purchasing anything. They care more about customer satisfaction than a simple purchase and they really show it. Definitely one of the best customer services Ive ever experienced and would definitely recommend this place to everyone and would definitely come back.

Had two bikes assembled here that were purchased via internet. We walked there and rode the bikes back home to see how they rode and they did a fantastic job. Called the manager in advance to notify that I’m coming to purchase a bicycle, he confirmed that everything is ready. Took a cab and was excited. Upon arrival the manager told me it wasn’t ready, the only who could have prepared it was the owner. Ironically the owner was across the street “preparing for the party”. Apparently the courtesy to help a client is odd to this store.

I’ve been coming here to service my bike for the past 2 years, Buz and Julius are awesome. They always provide a thorough inspection and are upfront and honest about what is needed. They work hard to get you your bike back to you quickly and do really clean work.

Had an amazing experience at the Bike Hub. I walked in looking for a bike and Buzz was so patient and answered all my questions, even though there was a big chance I wouldnt be buying a bike from him since the last bike he had might have been a bit small on me. He explained everything to me and let me take it for a test ride. He even encouraged me to go to other stores and check out other bikes before choosing a bike (dont know many people that would be ok with you walking out of the store and potentially buying somewhere else). He suggested changing the stem on the bike so that it would fit my measurements and it made a big difference. I went to another store to try another bike, but ultimately came back to the Bike Hub and bought the bike (with the new stem) - and it is a perfect fit! The bike is amazing and I love riding it and I am so grateful to Buzz and Julius (if I remember his name correctly) who helped me so patiently with everything I needed. My next bike (which will hopefully be in a long time) will definitely be from The Bike Hub!

Recently picked up my old bike I hadnt ridden in a few years and thought it would be wise to get a tune up. Found The Bike Hub online and based on the good reviews it was my top choice. First brought it in last week to fix a flat, which was done in less than a day, and I was happy enough to come back for a basic tune up. After a few days I got a call that it was ready and picked it up for a test ride. I could immediately tell the difference: brakes stopped on a dime (which Buzz did warn me about), gears shifted smoothly, and the bike looked as clean as the day I got it. Before leaving, Buzz told me my chain is still good for a year and I appreciated him not replacing it before needing to just to up-charge me. Highly recommend!

So so decided to get my Sons old bike back in to shape for riding. I realized that I need a few parts to make that happen. I tried a place in Bayonne but they already closed there doors, so I looked online and spoke to a few friends. The Bike Hub was recommended. I called to make sure they open, they were very polite on the phone unlike some other places I called in the past. I told them I needed some parts, then he asked me if I wanted to give him the list so he could check the availability. I thought that was nice but I said I would just go in. I wanted to check out the shop. I had a great experience, I got all the parts I needed, even though I know there is shortage on bikes and there parts because of Covid. I got good advice and I will be returning to get a few other bikes I have tuned up. I highly recommend this shop. Thank you for your service

The shop was packed and they were able to fix my tires and break within a matter of days. They were also very helpful in explaining to me what they fixed and why. They took time out of their day to explain what I can do to prevent my bike from constantly being in the shop.

I brought in a bike that I bought online and botched trying to fix myself at home. Brought it in and within 48 hours they fixed my bike!!! Its like a brand new bike, so amazing! Plus theyre the friendliest guys! I totally recommend going there if you need any bike help!

Bought my bike from this shop 2-3 years ago and am a bit late on writing a review. Even so, bike hub really sticks their neck out for their customers and community. Bought my bike and through the servicing the shop has given me the bike holds up in excellent shape. Most shops usually forget their customers after an transaction but this shop makes you feel special through that process and after it. When I think of bikes I think of here!

Pretty cool shop, I get what I need done for my bike and Buzz the owner really makes sure he takes care of you. I recently got a montrose seat for my bike and Julius was very helpful with setting my seat up and assisting with any other questions I had. You get a great sense of community there too because of the location and the coffeshop across the street. You can grab a drink and get your bike set up all at the same time.

Buzz helped me fix a broken wheel and all, but the biggest takeaway was how he treated everyone the same - whether you are an experienced rider or have never stepped into a bike shop before Buzz will help you and treat you the equally.I have another shop closer to me in Jersey City, but I will gladly take the hike up the hill - great attitude, fair prices, nice shop. I hit a pothole the other day and popped the tube in my tire. I live in Fort lee and had to take a trip to Bike Hub yesterday because either what the shops around me had way too expensive or not what I wanted.After patiently waiting to be let in due to current pandemic, owner Buzz helped and explained in great detail as to what he had and not. I was looking to get 2 bikes, for me and my son, found one for me and unfortunately, my sons choice was not available and perhaps another day.In the meantime, if you see a negative review from a woman around the same dates because she was waiting to be helped and got kinda out of line but the owner handled it graciously and tried to reason with her, she stormed out of the store, Buzz went after her to try and help her, but no use.Im only writing this because I have reviews for my businesses sometimes from people who feel like royalties and entitled and the whole world should stop and cater their needs. This woman was like that.Anyways, this shop is operating with diminished capacity due to current situation but we were happy to be able to get atleast 1 bike (one of the ones I was interested in atleast) .Well be back although its out of our way for us.

When he gave my wifes bike a tune-up, he charged us just a fraction of the regular price because the bike didnt allow the whole thing to be completed. I know geeking out on the mechanics of the bike is something people are into. But I just want to ride - When I had a serious issue with my crank set, the owner was extremely helpful: procured the part, kept me informed at all times and tuned the bike for me. Straight shooters and very helpful.

I had them build out a very expensive mountain bike for me and the workmanship was top notch. Their communication is amazing! I went in to grab a seat post after not riding my bike a few years after college since the other one was broken. Buzz, the owner, took care of replacing my seat onto the new post after making sure everything was greased up. He even took my bike and put it in the stand for a quick wipe down and chain lube! We started talking about the local trails and he signed me up for the stores mailing list for when they do rides together. Will certainly be coming back here!

I also took the opportunity to ride around the neighborhood first to see how it felt. Overall, the service was wonderful, a discount was offered, and its great to support local businesses. Bikes also come with lifetime tune up.

My bike was not in use for more than a year, and had many problems with wheel alignment, brakes, etc. I went for a tune-up at Bike Hub, and main guy Buzz spent a lot of time to make sure every small detail was taken care of, and every issue resolved. For the details, read below:You always pay a little more when buying from shops than when buying online ... but the advantage here is tremendous. The difference in prices at this shop is surprisingly miniscule and the advantage is you get great service, and support an awesome resource for the local cycling community.My first experience with this shop was when I first got into cycling. I bought a used bike and took it in for a tune-up. The guys were fantastic. Got everything working butter smooth even though it wasnt a great bike. They fixed my stem the way I wanted even though they thought I shouldve tried something different. I always felt appreciated and well taken care off. Best of all they did a great job, and I left the shop with a real trust in my bike. All of this was for the best price in town!Now fast forward a year and I really got into this cycling business. I got my own stand and started doing repairs, tuning at home and then got a new used bike that I worked on at home. I started ordering parts online because it was cheaper and did everything at home by myself ( I have since decided that I will on purpose buy from the bike hub instead so long as the prices remain at least similar to online.). Then COVID came around and getting stuff online started to take forever. I had spare time because my schedule was changed and started a big project where I tore my bike down to pieces, cleaned up everything, and changed my derailleur to a mountain bike derailleur, my chainset to a triple, and renewed my cassette and chain. During this process I ran into several issues and needed parts and help. Unfortunately my trusty Bike Hub had shorter work hours and me being the impatient person that I was I rushed to another store for repair help. Oh my god let me tell you the experience there was so different from my experience at the bike hub and really helped put things in perspective!. I came in because I had a click and intermittent loss of the drivetrain while riding in addition to a brake squeal. Long story short I ended up spending a lot of money at this other bike shop and went back home with the same issues unsolved and feeling a little disrespected. At home I put my bike back on the stand and figure out the problem in less than 2 hours. I had several damaged chain links and a new chain should fix the issue.The next day, I called my trusty old friend and asked about chains. Sure enough he had the right one and gave me the best price in town! I loved going to get it because even though I can buy it a little cheaper online, its nice to know that you can deal with a local shop and get a fair price and good treatment. Im happy to pay a little extra and have a resource like him around. But the extra here is super reasonable/ minimal unlike the other shops. And the owner is super friendly and welcoming. And the treatment you get when you walk in is beyond exceptional.So lesson learned. From now on, any part I want I call him first. Any mechanical help I need ... this shop will be the first in line. So long as he continues to offer this combination of great service and great price, I will be a returning customer.
