My husband and I were looking for an artist that specialized in American traditional and Adam at Jersey City Tattoo does not disappoint!!! Besides the absolutely beautiful artwork I have received so far, Adam is such nice person and always super professional . His artwork is absolutely amazing! His shop is super clean and his staff are super nice as well! You’ll definitely feel comfortable in his shop. I am so glad we found Jersey City Tattoo! One note, they also do piercings, of which my daughter received one…Shasta is amazing and super knowledgeable of all piercings. We just love this shop!!!
My favorite tattoo shop in Jersey City. Its clean, well kept and a friendly environment. John and Shasta are awesome and I highly recommend them both. John did 2 of my tattoos and exceeded my expectations. While Shasta did majority of my piercings. She is very informative and friendly. I always recommend this place to everyone. Definitely going back for my other tattoos/piercing in the future.
Came in this past weekend for a birthday tat (an addition to the sleeve Im working on). I was greeted by a very pleasant receptionist, the shop was clean & neat. I didnt know that I would have the actual owner tattooing me, so I felt comfortable from the start. Adam was friendly, knowledgeable & cool..I love my new ink!

Super friendly, gentle hand and willing to work with your vision. She answered all my questions prior the session and during. I had asked for a variation of one her classic matchboxes and it came out 10000% better than I envisioned.I was also pierced by the sweet Shasta. Again another friendly and gentle handed artist. Super helpful when I asked her a million questions prior to my session, during and after. I love that I can message her about my piercings. I actually waited to get pierced by her specifically. Best hands in town!Would send everyone I know to this shop!! 100% best tattoo and body piercing experience ever. Just wish it was a little bit closer to me.

Had such a great experience here! Welcoming environment, very clean and super cool shop! They followed all safety and precautionary measures. Came in for a second piercing on my ear lobe for both ears, I got it done by Kevin who was very professional, very nice, and I love how it came out! We were greeted and welcomed in by Pansy who was also really great and professional! Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend coming here!
Great shop. I had my tattoo done by John, he was extremely pleasant to work with and very professional. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time and took his time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I traveled over an hour to get here, and it was 100% worth it. The rest of the staff are very kind, cooperative, and understanding. I would highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back.
I got a tattoo here less than six months ago. My tattoo already looks old and muddy. They don’t know how to tattoo on black skin and they didn’t advise me well that the color wouldn’t show up well on my skin even when I asked directly. Some parts of the outline is scarred, even though I practiced proper aftercare. I would not come here again. I honestly wouldn’t have gone if I had known it would come out like this. I went on a whim and trusted the reviews and pictures, but I won’t do that again. This was my most expensive tattoo and it came out the worst.
Such an amazing vibe at that place. They did a wonderful job and made me feel right at home. I got my belly pierced and I couldn’t be happier! After she explained the healing process and was very thorough. I’m soo happy!
Staff was nice! I randomly went to this place yesterday expecting 2 tattoos but only got one on my neck. Yes I took 2 pics to compare so basically I asked if they dealt with dark-skinned ahead of time and was told of course. The first pic was done yesterday for $140 ... the 2nd pic was done 9 years ago in bayonne for $130. I noticed an unfinished space in the red lined heart. I thought I kinda liked it but I dont. And I was overcharged😩 I dont mind paying much for a tattoo that is worth it. This tattoo isnt. If anything changes I will update but I doubted🤯The heart is missing a space and if you couldnt do your best on my neck you should not have touched it. I was in and out the tattoo took about 10 minutes. So no I dont understand. I will stop in so you can see what I am talking about. Instead of offering a fix you did not. I feel overcharged because this tattoo has no detail its plain in simple and unfinished
Great experience! I went to get a nose stud and the person who attended me was kind, nice and professional. I had a bump inside my nose that give extra work to get the stud in, she worked her magic on it until it was in. I greatly appreciate a place that gives you a great service and attention. 5+ stars for Jersey City Tattoo!
Amazing work done by Ashley. She worked with me to give me the tattoo exactly as I pictured it. She explained everything, answered any questions, and made me feel comfortable which is big for a nervous, awkward person such as myself. The whole shop made me feel at ease, seems like a very special place
Shasta Daisy is the best 🥺 I came here for my first time yday to get my belly button piercing. I was really nervous and she was so gentle and comforting it didnt hurt one bit. She takes her time and talks to you through every step shes taking and is really friendly and informative on everything you need to know. You dont feel rushed, you dont leave there with any lingering questions or unsure feelings. She also lets you know you can stay in contact with her if you have any future issues or just want to keep the person who pierced you updated on the healing process or what have u and I really appreciated that. 10/10 would recomennddd
They’re were very nice & welcoming. But when it comes to my nose piercing. I’ve got it done by the same female piercer 3 times. My nose piercing was never properly pierced. No one should have to get the same piercing re pierced that many times after letting each heal for a year each time. So I’m satisfied at all.
I wanted to get a bunch of ear piercings so i went to my local tattoo / piercing shop which jersey city tattoo! Since then, i have not gone to any other piercer besides Shasta.i was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and sweet all of the staff was as soon as i walked in. She is so professional and knowledgeable about piercings and placement, as well as aftercare. She was so funny and sweet it made my experience 10 times better than any other shop i’ve gone to. She also carries the cutest starter jewelry! (which is super hard to find… most shops only have the basic stuff no gems / designs) I’ve come back many times now and only go to her for piercings. She recently did my medusa and i get so many compliments on how perfectly she placed it.10/10 recommend getting all piercings here.
Had several piercings and tattoos done here. Had my septum, vertical labret and belly button done. Was given detailed advice on how to care for them. Had tattoos done by Adam, Kevin and Ashley on multiple different occasions. This place is now my go to. All three of the artists mentioned have different styles and articulate them in thoughtful and detailed ways. Recently got a Buffy the Vampire Slayer tattoo from Ashley, I came to her with a pretty vague idea of what I wanted and the design she created for me was incredible. Couldn’t be happier with the piece and it’s def one of my favorite tattoos now. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. Love it.

I was pierced by their newest piercer last week!! I waited to do a review until the swelling went down so I could fairly judge how it looked. She pierced my Medusa and I must say, of all the piercing shops I’ve been to, this one was the cleanest, and the friendliest. I drove 30 min and was NOT disappointed. She was so welcoming and was ready to explain everything; the process, healing, aftercare, etc. She was very knowledgeable and assured me the pain would be minimal. She handled me very gently and the pain was maybe a 3/10. Now a week later, I’ve been getting compliments non stop and I am IN LOVE with this piercing, all thanks to her! She truly made the experience worth the drive!! I would absolutely come back and I think I will be very soon!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE! This is my first time getting my nipples pierced and was super nervous. But the girl with the pink hair at the desk did my piercing and was super friendly, sweet and helped me calm down. Definitely will recommend getting pierced by her to friends!!

Safe environment during this strange time. They take your temperature when you arrive and only allow the person being tattooed inside. Very professional. Happy with the whole experience!

Nothing but positive things to say about Adam and his shop. I got my first tatto there recently and it was a great experience. We had a brief consultation a few days before and I felt comfortable enough to go through with it. Needles are not my favorite thing, but he did a fantastic job and played great music. Diana is that girl when it comes to her artistry. She did an amazing job, paid attention to detail and was very gentle with how she did my tattoo. The staff from the owner Adam to the on duty manager John and the piercing QUEEN Nicki were amazing. Nicki also pierced my nose and was very knowledgeable. The price was fair and the service was top notch. I will definitely return for more work and recommend them to anyone interested in pursuing body art. Jersey City Tattoos gets all 10s from me.

I walked in to the tattoo shop and showed my design to Adam. He gave me an appointment an hour later; and when I went back he had the tattoo all traced and ready to go.Adams folks at the shop are very professional and they knew exactly how to speak with their customers. Adam is a great artist and he knew a little bit of background of the tattoo which helped us to get exactly what we wanted. We could clearly say Adam has a lot of experience and can give what you want in terms of the very close details and intricacy. I definitely suggest you to go here if you are around Jersey City.-V

I received a tattoo yesterday afternoon from Chuck. Really cool place, very sanitary and professional. Tattoo itself really didnt hurt, and I was helped through the entire process being that it was my first tattoo, and was also allowed to take a short break. Everything went well, and was then informed about the after care of my tattoo.
I was getting a small wrist tattoo and the whole staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting me with my design. Jason was my tattoo artist and he was awesome and really made me feel right at ease during the whole process. I highly recommend Jersey City Tattoo!

This tattoo shop stood out to me from other shops in the vicinity. I went in to specifically speak with Tom about a tattoo I had in mind for my forearm. As soon as I got there I was instantly welcomed. I am all about good vibes and would have walked out if I got anything less from Jersey City Tattoo. Tom exceeded my expectations. He was in tune with what I wanted and was able to direct me in the best direction with whatever I was unsure about, for example, the font of the phrase within the piece. Andrew is a talented vegan artist. The accommodations could be slightly more comfortable, but that would be no reason not to go. Parking is difficult, but again, no reason not to go.

I got my piercing done by Niki on 08/01/2015 SaturdayShe absolutely does not know what she is doing.Although she sounds very informative and her voice is comforting,Told me not to buy piercing jewlery online because they are from china and arent well made, mass produced. Which is true.I asked if there were other jewlery for my piercing her answer was no.It is such a contradiction, she pierced me with a china made ring.She is NOT certified.16 of experience is not the same as being certified and educated to pierce correctly.My piercing came out crooked.ABSOLUTELY CROOKED!SO MUCH DISCOMFORT!This is a strictly a Tattoo spot. Even though they say they do piercing.
