Used them for our building to replace the stairwell and hallway carpets. Doug goes above and beyond. Quality work. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. We would go back to them in a heartbeat with any other jobs. 10 stars if we could.

I cannot rave enough about my new floor !!! I used to live in this area and decided to call on them 3 years later when I bought a house.Doug helped me find a runner for my steps. He listened, was not pushy at all, and showed me all of the options from inexpensive to plush and a bit more in price. Again, not pushy.. which is what I needed since I spent so much rehabbing my house.I picked the carpet, he checked then and there if it was in stock so I could have a realistic timeline, and he was out at my place measuring by the next day(ish)!His timeline was pretty on point, and my runner was installed in a couple of weeks!Also - his follow up was great.Professional, well prices, great costumer service and the selection was HUGE! I would strongly suggest Hauptman when it comes to your floor needs.

Did a wonderful job with hardwood floors, vinyl luxury tile, and carpet installation in our home. Our floors all look amazing 6 years later. Customer service was great and we were very happy with every step. We would highly recommend Hauptman floors!

Well Ive used these guys multiple times and reminded why i enjoy this neighborhood establishment...always right, trust them to just take my direction and come do even without me there. Amazing find.

They did good work for me years ago. In 2018 however, I spoke to Doug about getting a few floors installed; it took him 1 month to come out to look and another month until I got the estimate. I then accepted and tried to get the work done. That was 3 months ago, Ive followed up 3-4 times and have not heard back. They are nice people, but if you want to get your work done within 6 months, or even expect to hear back from them within a month for pricing reasons, I would look elsewhere or at least contact a few other options when reaching out to Hauptman.

Im surprised that there isnt a review for this great local JC business. We came to Gary and Doug asking for new carpet to replace a small corridor and stair runner in our home in Jersey City. We needed something done in a tight timeline because we had family visiting for Christmas.
