We wanted to transfer our phone numbers from another carrier to Verizon. There was some technical glitch on the previous carrier side such that the transfer couldnt go through. The Verizon Newport Mall store staff Arlene and Carlos worked with us and spent lots of time trying to figure out the problem. We really appreciated the professionalism of Arlene and Carlos. They were very patient and helpful throughout the whole process. We felt very happy with their work.
The made us crazy.. The whole family members were on call with Verizon representatives for a week…😣😣to activated our plan.. can’t say how much frustrating was the process

Staff is the worst! 2 customer counting myself and 5 employees ignoring and having a good time with each other I walked out Verizon apparently doesn’t need or want my money

Incredibly terrible service. Employees just blatantly ignore customers and theres always a queue in front because no one has any idea what to do (since no employees greet or acknowledge them).
Osei helped me order a new iPhone after I missed the delivery date. He and his manager convinced me to upgrade and add a line to get a discount on an iPad which seemed like a good deal to me. Long story short, I never received the iPad, my bill is $100 more than they said it would be, there is an extra line on my account I can’t take off AND I used $90 in rewards that won’t be refunded even though the store lost my device. Take my advice and just do all your orders through the website.
Had great customer service with the person who helped us upgrade our phones after mine and my daughter’s broke. I believe the name tag of the person who helped us said “Wolf”. He was very patient with us and all of our questions. He articulately explained everything we needed to know from Verizon’s data service to helping us set up the phone. Thanks Wolf! 11/10

I have recently reconfirmed that it is generally a better experience online vs dealing with sales people in store. Not a fan of deceptive sales tactics that leave out options or outright lie to sell an accessory. Save some money and get your accessories somewhere else.
They was good when I was getting my lines setup. But then I got my phone in the mail and when I went back a different person was there then the 1st and not as helpful. Sorry to bother you with my installation questions. Besides that 1 person experience was good.

Everyone was super helpful in gettig my stuff moved over from my other phone, and porting my number from another carrier.They could have easily just given me the phone number to do it myself. Instead, they took the time do it for me, even though the store was packed. Excellent service all around.

Asian woman was at fight claiming no respect for Customer! I was assuming she had very bad day n taking her frustration on Verizon Rep. But it appears Verizon need to educate their staff and raise the bar of customer service ! I had to wait for 30 minutes to hear we cant return the equipment, they could have asked simple question while checking in why I visited them, I had rounds of visits to other store to hear the same thing. Spectrum is any day good in terms of after sale services! Verizon fios sucks!!!
I never leave reviews but this has to be the most poorly managed and least helpful business Ive ever been to in my life. Its truly incredible how little the employees care and how careless they are with long term clients. Very bad service....I also saw a Asian women screaming at them and i also thought that she was unnecessarily shouting but the i realized that their staff is perhaps the worst i have seen. May be you need to teach some manners to your staff.
Just went in today since my phone had no longer been reading my SIM card and Melissa was very helpful! I automatically thought I needed a new phone but she grabbed me a new SIM card to try just in case. Unfortunately I was right and my phone still couldnt read the card. I had just picked out the cheapest phone available and as Melissa was about to ring me up she saw that I was covered by insurance and told me she could send me a free replacement. Melissa was very helpful, efficient and she save me a bunch of money! Everyone else I interacted with were great too!

I wont write something negative about the crowds or wait time - that experience unfortunately is not something anyone can control. My phone stopped working (replacement screen went haywire), I went into the store and I was helped by Edgar. He was extremely patient, listened to my problem and provided a variety of options to solve it (from trying to troubleshoot to pricing out various upgrades). He remained calm and professional and within 1 hour, I walked out of the store with a free replacement phone (to be mailed by Asurion - I could not complete that transaction in-store). If you go to this store, hopefully Edgar will be working.

The associates that work here are all about making money. From the minute you walk in they analyze you, if youre there to buy a phone theyre quick to help, if not, good luck. I stood around for about 20 mins without help, to the point where I contemplated breaking something to get their attention. Only thing to be grateful for is the automated pay stations.

I didn’t buy anything from here - I went in to ask about installing internet in my home and the lady sourly replied that they “don’t do wifi only VERIZON FIOS [rude tone] does it”. As if I’m lacking intelligence for not knowing there’s a difference between Verizon and Verizon fios. this was all after standing there for 5 mins unattended, and to top that off the lady didn’t even tell me where the nearest verizon fios store is. Go here if you have no choice, otherwise, stay away.
I visited this store yesterday with my friend to enquire about the wireless plans. The Representative (Shak) was very friendly and was very patient in explaining different plans to us. We went for a two line offer immediately and the Rep made sure our numbers are ported before leaving the store. Highly recommended store in Newport Mall for Wireless customers.

I had a great experience.The greeter at the door was helpful and made an appointment for me (put me in a queue) - I never felt like I didnt know where to go or what to do.The sales person that assisted me knew what he was talking about and obviously used Verizons products extensively. He did not pressure me into anything, but did help me save money on my bill and helped me chose an excellent phone! Really happy with the service I received. I could not have asked for a better experience. Maybe I just got the right sales person? I see bad ratings for this store - it could be a consistency thing, or perhaps they have turned over a new leaf?

Similar to other Google users, I was totally frustrated by the service here. Unlike my experience at a Manhattan Mid-town Verizon Store (which is surprising), the people here did not give me anytime to explain anything or do what I was asking, did not suggest any alternatives and kept saying how they cant help me, even though I tried exploring a variety of options to solve my issue. Im trying to take advantage of my Extended Warranty. You sold it to me, so help me utilize it!
I wish 0 stars was an option. Do yourself a favor and go to the ATT, Tmobile or Sprint store all located directly across from this Verizon store. The associates here are a JOKE. They set up my account and did what THEY WANTED TO DO, NOT what I wanted them to do. I am leaving Verizon after being a customer for 4 days.
Im a Verizon Customer for 13 years. For the most part I always go to this store. This month I have been there twice and I was very unhappy with the service. Associates arent friendly or polite. Both times I left the store empty handed. Im not giving them another chance.

Poorly managed and worst customer service. Would never go back. Went there for a new line purchase and was just directed to do that simply online despite all queries.It took 4 hrs to resolve the issue myself.
Arlene and the other guy served me very well. They knew their plans the service was quick and no boring conversation.
FYI. iPhone X 256 sold out.Low rating is for customer service. They don’t tell you until after you wait in line and get to the front. I wasted an hour of my life due to the lack of communications.

This is the worst Verizon store I have ever been to. I thought being that it was a kiosk it would be much faster than the corporate store up stairs. The employee seemed like he had ADHD and took about an hour and a half to finish the transaction. I will never go back to this place and I will make sure no one I knows does either. Worst experience ever.

After reading the reviews, I was skittish about visiting my local verizon store at Newport Mall, JC. Although I had previously visited the store in late 2014, the reviews did not leave me with much hope of having a good experience. However, during my visit during my lunch break, I was greated by a gentlement who took my name down and told me I was next. Within a few minutes (5 or so), associate Arlene Lal was up and running transferring information from my old iPhone to my new 6S plus. She was professional, curtious and knowledgeable. I had my OLD Samsumg with me and had not been able to transfer the contacts from the phones calendar to my new iPhone. She pulled down an app, that not even the Verizon rep on the phone with me a few nights back knew about, and was able to transfer the information to my new phone. I had bought my own accessories through Amazon and the store Manager Jon Colon kindly volunteered to replace the protector I had purchased and transfered it to the new phone--he did disclaim that if it broke they could not replace it--and I agreed, the alterative would have been for me to do it myself and given my level of experience replacing existing phone protectors (NONE), I hedged my bets and relied on him instead. All in all, I write this to say this: people will rush to provide a negative review, but only a few would do the same to write a positive one. Thus, take these reviews with a grain of salt. If more of us took the time to write, even if a brief one liner about our experience, it would help to offset all the negativity that we tend to dish out so easily. The Verizon Wireless store at the Newport Mall is very organized and doing well! We all have a bad day once in a while, lets not punish everyone. Much love!!
Horrible. Especially the Fios service guy. He doesnt understand what he is doing. When I was doing it, he said that it will be a month to month, but it turns out to be 2 year contract amd I had to pay termination fee. DO NOT have your Fios service here!!!!
