The owner or Manger of this shop Ali Ayesh is fraud. He gets his work done from the shops. He pays with credit card and then he disputes those charges. I am just waiting for good time because WHAT GOES AROUND IT COMES AROUND too.
Great store. My go to neighborhood market!
I only use this market when I am desperate. All of their prices are at least $1.00-3.00 more than Shoprite down at Metro Plaza. If the owners lowered all of the prices just a tad, I would always come and shop, but I guess they think its worth it. Dont buy any produce. The bananas are really bad, and most of the fruit and vegetables are right at the stale range and seriously overpriced. Plus it smells by all the meat displays, which tells you what? hmmm The owners are nice guys, but they are clueless. Its never crowded. I wonder why?
A mixed bag, but good overall. Its the only fairly complete supermarket in the neighborhood. It is small, but covers most of the bases. Produce is pretty good, fresh, but very few organic choices. There is a deli counter. While complete, much of the items cater to Latino, Caribbean, South American and middle Eastern tastes. Thats a good thing because there is a good chance youll find ingredients that a chain store might not stock. Checkout counters are well staffed and even during peak times the wait is always short. The meat department is the weakest link here, though, and could probably use improvement in selection and overall quality.
Its an OK grocery store. I come here for select products only.I have been shopping here since I was a little boy with my mother many decades ago.The bread rolls are great. The banana priced competitively. But the meat are of questionable quality.
Great place to shop. The owner is always there and helpful. The staff is friendly. The aisles are well stocked.Usually I always find what I’m looking for. Fine fare, conveniently located on west side avenue, is a fine addition to the neighborhood.
When this place first opened I believe last summer, it was very convenient since its right around the corner from my house. I loved the fact that they sell boars head but I hate the fact that now winter 2017 not even a year later of them opening theres no one ever in the deli to take your order. Just last week I asked for a pound of turkey and they gave me a pound of ham (by the owner). I dont know what the person who commented that their prices are good means but thats far from the truth, their prices are way too overpriced. So if youre going to shop here make sure you look at their sales first or be prepared to pay an arm n leg.
Good morning I used to visit FFS a long time ago,,lower East side and grand street..but now none is closeby..good fresh products..
I found prices of most groceries little expensive and beware of sticker prices sometimes there may be a surprise while billing(spike). You might run into some expired items also. Its a reasonably big store. Middle eastern, Mexican and american store.. South Asian veggies wont be available.
Neighborhood spot - They really have ok variety for a smaller place. Dunno whos paying $13 for a gallon of organic milk tho when acme has it for $7. They should pay the wonderful cashiers more so they dont have to use tip cups.
Do not buy meat or produce from this place! The meat went bad within one day of purchasing and after placing it in a refrigerator! Ground beef and chicken marked with the wrong expiration date! Please do not eat from this place they are trying to scampeople with their meat!
This is more like an oversized convenience store than a supermarket. Poor variety but decent prices.
Good local store. They keep halal meat as well though frozen.Store staff is very supportive and always smiling
Its my grocery store. They have groceries. Though theres some good ethnic food options as well. The fresh pita bread is also really good. Friendly people work there.
Is clean they just need to open more lanes
Be advised and count your items! these people change codes on your items and add random stuff to your receipt!!!
Staff is helpful enough prices are extremely high. The meat looks and smells terrible but Ive seen ppl with a cart full......never saw them again
Do not shop in their meat or poultry section!! Literally they drown their meat in amonia or some kind of chemical. The first time it happened I called it a fluke the second time I refuse to waste my money on weirdly treated grocery where after washing and cooking it you can still taste the chemicals. The whole space by their fish/poultry section smells like they are unsuccessful trying to cover up rotting grocery with bleach.Everything else is pretty good with enough variety. Dairy, cold cuts, fruits, freezer section etc.The cashiers are usually good/great, balding manager gross literally will sweetheart you. I can only imagine the unprofessionalism the women that work there have to deal with.
Convenient for me but the owner (or he might be the general manager) is a jerk to customers. Hes nice to older folks and other Arab-descended people but very rude to everyone else. I always feel uncomfortable going there but every other supermarket is too far away. The prices are a bit on the high side, too, even compared to Whole Foods in NYC.
Absolutely disgusting. ALL the stuff that is on sale, goes on sale AFTER ITS EXPIRED. I have bought stuff to later realize it had expire months ago. Walking by the meat section makes u gag from the smell. If you go here, make sure u make a smell test and check ALL EXPIRATION dates. Also pay attention to the cashiers, cause sometimes things wont scan at sale price and charge u full price.
Health Department shut down fine fare this weekend do to major clean up in basement and area where they cut meats. I only buy canned goods here.
They’ve changed the name to CTown but it’s the same owners. Haven’t been inside to inspect but fine fare was horrible. Old meat old produce moldy cheese smelly store. I would stay far away from them.
The meat is never any good at this place, if I could take away a star I would because of the meat
Close to where I live. they have everything. staff from every level is outgoing and friendly. nice place to shop
I really like this place. close to my home and they have good prices, specially, their weekly deals
Great local grocery spot. Good prices, friendly people.
This is the first time I had a problem with the products. It was way beyond the expiration date. It was expired on the October 28, 2017 and still on the shelf. Come on, that is insane. Are you guys trying to get someone sick. I dont have to do your job for you. Even the employees are rude. Talking in Spanish and cursing me out. They need to get this straighten out.
A decent store where you get most of the American groceries and vegetables.
I really like this market all the produce is fresh and they have a vert wide selection of fresh herbs, meats, and ingredients to make your dinners come out perfect, and the staff is helpful, courteous and friendly
I like this store though they recently changed the name to CTown Supermarkets. For me it is on my way home from work and can pick up certain things I may need.
No price tags for many items, change the prices randomly, double the price for cheap items... be advised if you are not desperate do not go !
Quick stop to pick up food on the way home from work.
Do Review your Receipts when Shopping here. Shopping Experience is Fair .
Good place to buy every day groceries - pretty much everything you need under one roof. Have a special bakery section with fresh doughnuts and small pastries every day.. mmmm the doughnuts are good.
Nice place. They have flower bouquets.
I bought chicken from there an the meat was bad.but they have alot of things i can get from any where else.i live on 30 st an i go alway up 2 116st 2 get what i need.
Horrible, the meats are always spoiled and the refrigerator is never cold enough for the meats. The produce is rotten. They should close this store down!! At least give them a check out by health department.
Nice and near but there is one nice young lady, never asked her name, she is great in customer service, always joyful to customers. Dark skinned
Good market, fare price and more different things :)
Do yourself a favor and dont shop in this place. Am sure all these reviews are fake
Very organized & clean. Love their halal meat.

Nice place. Nice staff.
Prices way too high!!! Try shoprite in newport or rite aid down the block. Avoid this place.
Cachiers don t smile and dont say thank you always I come to Shope there
Apples are of very bad quality. Because of that my daughters and wifes health got bad. Never buy raw food from here.
Youre lucky if you go home with non-expired products.
The meat is rotten & funky. DO NOT BUY MEAT FROM THIS STORE!
