Parking can be a problem but you just have to exercise your legs and walk a bit farther. This is a popular place so its busy and you might have to wait a little, but the staff is always pleasant and helpful. I really like the Alkalized water. It tastes good!

Looks like I get to review water.... AMAZING selection of PURE CLEAN water. Alkaline...pH....however you like it....osmosis....water....whichever way you enjoy....PURE CLEAN water. And I will mention the vibrancy of the store clerk. Beautiful energy.

The owner is s rip off. He takes advantage of being in Hawaii and charges way over industry norm. Example his membrane replacement cartridge is 149.00. Same capacity cartilage sold by companies similar to his and same quality product is 55.00 plus 4.00 shipping. His small replacement parts... o rings 7.50 a piece. Online 2.00. A piece. ! His tanks are 140 new and 85 used. Online 36 to 60 same size tank new with warranty! This turkey is a price gouger. It’s understandable to have higher prices cause of shipping to the islands. I owned businesses here too. But not to the extent he does. He shouldn’t be in business when he is ripping off the public like that. Stay away from mountain slope water!!!

The water here is good and competitively priced. But purified water is purified water. There are several other places where you can get the same thing. So my rating comes down to the staff. This place has very unfriendly and unappreciative staff. The worse one is the owner. The owner of this place is terrible and has a horrible attitude. So I dont blame the staff. Theyre probably just unhappy because their boss is not a nice person.

This water store is definitely no ka oi! Family owned and operated, they offer alkaline water, daily specials, love their punch card for free 5 gallons. Love this place, drive there from the west side doing errands. They also have a clean restroom. Mahalos

Buying 5 gals of H2O this is the place, sells stands, plastic 5 gal and glass bottles. Walk in, pick up little squirt bottle and put a tiny amount of bleach in your container, add some water, swirl around and rinse, empty and fill er up with nice clean water. pay at desk

The Mountain Slope Water dispenser in Makawao, HI (next to Rodeo General Store) boldly advertises the alkaline water option. I purchased two gallons, ensuring that the toggle switch was set to the alkaline setting. I then took it home and tested it with narrow-range pH test strips. The pH was 5.75 - well into the acidic range, far from the advertised pH of 8.5 (or was it 9.5? it doesnt matter, the water was acidic, not alkaline). I checked the strips by testing some San Pellegrino mineral water, which tested neutral (7.0 pH). The pH of the Mountain Slope water measured the same as the tap water from my house.I then called Mountain Slope and informed them of my results. The lady who answered the phone said they would send out a technician.I then waited about 10 days, to give them plenty of time to dispatch the technician, and got two more gallons from the same vending machine. This time it was even more acidic at pH 4.75. I again checked the strips, this time testing some Kirkland-brand bottled water from Costco (pH 6.5 - just slightly acidic), and also titrating the Mountain Slope water with a bit of baking soda to get it into the alkaline range - yep, the strips were good.
