This was an amazing adventure. Two Good Kayaks were so wonderful and we had the best day kayaking, cliff jumping and snorkeling during the 5 hour trip. I highly recommend this tour- you will not be disappointed. Ben was an awesome guide and we so appreciate how he took care of everyone and makes sure you have a great day. Epic 5 hour kayak trip to the Mokes! Taylor, our guide, was amazing - hilarious and caring. Gave us the inside scoop on the best spots on Oahu, too. A great workout in a single kayak- definitely recommend a tandem for 2 people if you are looking for something a bit less tiring.

We booked the adventure pacjage and it great. These guys care about your safety and well being first and foremost...the kyaks were great and the rest of the equipment was in good condition...seeing the sea turtles and seal were the highlights of the trip. They will pick up and drop you off at your hotel and provide lunch. Thank you for such an amazing day and wonderful service.

We did the 5 hr tour with Byron. I was a bit nervous with such a long tour, as we are not highly skilled kayakers. Byron was such a great guide that we had no problems. We took our time getting out to the island and then spent a wonderful time on the beach. They offered to move our trip due to the weather or we would do a river kayak. We decided to move forward with the river kayak. Even though the weather didnt cooperate with us, it was still an incredible experience with David! He picked us up from our condo, got us fitted and equipped for our adventure before headed out to the river. It will be a trip we will always remember! Thank you for the great experience!

We really enjoyed our kayak adventure with these guys. We got picked up at our hotel and got brought to their office and went through our days activities. We got our kayaks and went out to the twin islands. The whole experience was amazing. We got to swim in queens bath and have lunch on the water. The views and scenery on this trip are amazing. We loved these guys, great guides and we will choose theses guys every time we go back to Hawaii.

Valiant from Twogood Kayaks is the best tour guide I could have imagined. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Mokolua Islands and very patient when explaining to newbies (like us!). Not only does he help those he is guiding, but he also does not hesitate to help others in need nearby. Valiant made our trip to Hawaii an unforgettable one, even though he hadn’t been our tour guide, because he jumped in to help us when we were in need. Our kayak had capsized and he quickly jumped in to rescue us and give us some great tips. We will most definitely book with Twogood Kayaks next time we visit and will ask for Valiant! 👏👏👏

Did a private 2.5 hr kayak tour tandem with my husband, 7 & 10 year old sons. It was perfect. Kids had a great time and the kayaking wasnt too difficult for them. We had a great tour guide, Ben, who was very knowledgeable in regards to the local bird life, Hawaiian history, and gave us some great recommendations and tips. The free transportation to and from our condo made them much more accessible and the lunch included was great (we paid extra for the wraps). After our kayaking, we were able to hang out on the beach and got to swim with sea turtles. Great day!

We did the 5 hr guided island tour. Great experience. We are amateur kayakers, were out of shape, but when we fell behind, they helped tow us until the destination. We even fell in the water and they were quick to help us out. The safety talks they gave were very helpful. They were really friendly, knowledgeable. The shuttle driver was even very friendly and on time. The conditions were perfect, and they showed us some turtles during our snorkeling on the island.While I wouldnt do this again, I think this is a great experience for outdoors enjoying people, and definitely worthwhile if this is your first time in the area. The island and views were worth it.

I LOVED THIS EXPERIENCE!! This was my very first time Kayaking it went great! My husband and I did the 5 hour tour it definitely flew by! Our tour guides Ben and Hunter were the best! They did a great job making sure we had fun as well as keep our groups safety their top priority. Definitely recommend this place to anyone even if its your first time Kayaking!

My husband and I wanted to do something we have never done before for my birthday. We decide to do kayaking. I googled kayak rentals and i found Twogood Kayaks. I spoke with Ariel and she was so helpful and informative. They also have a great price.When we got to their place, Ariel warmly welcomed us and she was well knowledged to everything. She was very professional and provided an excellent customer service. She is highly commendable.

My wife and rented a Tandem Kayak on two separate days for our own self guided tour. What a great way to get away to be out on your own with no one else around.The Tandem Kayak, Back Rest, Life Vests and Paddles were in good shape. Just made us feel a little uneasy that the Paddles did not have a tether for them. Twogood Kayaks had good service and the setup for placing the Kayak on our rental car was a great and simple setup. I was concerned about the cars center line antenna, but their setup easily cleared the antenna and it was never at risk for being damaged.Make sure you leave with all your equipment, because we were complacent in them not providing the paddles. We lost two hours of our rental running back and forth with zero consideration from Twogood Kayaks for their role in it.First day we wanted to do the Moke’s but the surf and wind proved to be a bit much so we just settled on going to Popoia Island. The trip was well worth it and we had no one on the island.Second day we went to China-mans Hat, and that was an awesome but more people were around us.

We did the 5 hour tour. A shuttle picked us up where we were staying and took us to the Twogood Kayaks building. There we got checked in, outfitted, and instructed for our tour. We were then shuttled to the beach and headed out to our island. We saw crabs, a monk seal, sea turtles, and tons of fish. The water was beautiful and clear. It was a really nice experience. If you are doing the 5 hour tour expect to work your muscles! Our amazing guides frequently towed others behind them. I got the veggie wrap for lunch which was super soggy, yuck. My niece got a sandwich and hers was realy good though. Our guides were Taylor and Valient. They left us with a lovely Hawaiian blessing. It was a great day!!

Took a family trip out to Chinahat Island. Rental price was fair and the service was top notch. Made sure we had all we needed and gave great instructions on how to get out to the island. No question, would recommend for kayak rental.

The driver of the van we had was knowledgeable of the area and very nice.The kayaks and instructions were very good. The instructors were very helpful and thourough on telling us what we needed to know to kayak safely in the area.Check your snorkel gear before leaving the shop. We ended up with one broken head strap and a missing mouthpiece. Luckily one of our people was too scared to try snorkeling, and the owner refunded our money for that set of snorkel gear.All in all, a great place to get a full kayak adventure. One of the guests had to drive the truck to the beach and we all had to unload and load our own kayaks on/off the truck. It would have been nice to know this prior to booking. Still added to the experience though.I suggest saving your snorkel experience for Hanauma Bay but really take in the kayaking part of this adventure.

Take your money and invest in another company. Some people may have good experience but others are having bad experience due to the lack of consistency with each customer. This company does not care whether they deliver great customer service or not some of their equipment is faulty and they will not reimburse you if you have a unpleasant experience due to their equipment and due to their lack of knowledge of rules for Hawaii’s Covid-19 safe social distancing and due to their consideration on whether the weather is acceptable or not for the tour. Either way they are only interested in getting paid it’s a trap they do not consider whether or not if you have a good or bad experience they blame the customer even though it’s the companies fault Save your self the headache and go with a company that shows true aloha spirit and not try to scam you. My wife and I had a great 5 hour kayak tour today. We met at their office, went over a few things, loaded up our car with the lunch, dry bag, and snorkel gear, and headed off to the beach. They took our kayak along with everyone else’s.When we got to the beach we had to drag our kayak about 50 yards through the sand to the ocean. Once everyone got to the beach we set out for the twin islands. We saw turtles along the way, and when we landed on the island saw a Hawaiian monk seal. The guides showed us the Queens bath, the cliff you can jump off on the opposite side of the island, and we got to snorkel around the beach for a bit. I wouldn’t plan on being able to do all three as they kept telling us that this was one of the best kayak groups they’ve had (everyone was a decent kayaker, and no one was slowing us down). The ocean was also fairly calm so we made really good time.One thing I will mention is the hike to the cliff jumping is pretty dangerous and you should not go with young kids or if you are not athletic. The trail is basically along rock walls and if you slip it won’t be good. This hike was optional, and they had a guide stay back at the beach for anyone who wanted to stay back and snorkel. (My wife stayed back and I’m glad she did).Overall it was a great trek, and would recommend. Definitely bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat is a good idea.Oh and Taylor, the Li Hing Mui at Island Snow was great! 👍

Rent in a package deal from this company pick me up at my hotel on the other side of the island brought me to their shop gave me a safety training video told me where I could go where I couldnt go We had an excellent experience on the ocean in a two-person kayak round trip transportation and lunch provided great deal our driver was pretty much amazing too

We had a great experience renting two Kayaks here. The staff was very informative and welcoming. Their price was also very fair.One tip: come early in the morning and return your Kayaks by 430pm so you can enjoy a full day on the water, and the staff can go home on time too. :)Thank you!

Company Van Driver ran over my bike as he nearly hit me dropping off people in Waikiki turning right into the bike lane I was riding in. Had over a 150 in bike repairs, after driver promised to pay for repairs they stopped answering their phone sticking me with the bill :-( after nearly killing me by not paying any attention. Kayaks float in the water so thats good I guess.

Firstly, when I got there my credit card info had been written on a sheet that was sitting out on the register for anyone who walks in to see. Secondly, I called and spoke with the owner and specifically asked if it would be doable for beginner kayakers with small children. He said yes. We get there and you have to load everything when we get there we realize they didn’t give us paddles so I had to drive back up there and get the paddles . We take the kayaks to the beach and this is DEFINITLY NOT SOMETHING ID RECOMMEND FOR A BEGINNER with kids so we loaded the kayaks up and took them back. Never even got to ride them. When I get back I tell the man who was there the story and he says “better luck next time” . No offer to refund or anything . Worst experience I had in Hawaii. I disputed the charge with my bank and they are investigating, but I feel like the owner should have offered some kind of refund .

Great experience end-to-end. It was our first experience kayaking and these guys made it easy and fun. We had 5-hour guided tour. From the person on the phone, to the shuttle driver, to the person in the shop, to the the tour guide, everyone was very friendly and caring. Maggie, our guide, provided great information on the history and geography of Hawaii as well as the technique of kayaking. Jumping into the Queens Bath pool on the offshore island was fantastic. Twogoods is a great company if you want to go on a sea kayaking adventure to see the Mokolua Islands. The five-hour tour was lots of fun, and our guide, Valiant, was helpful, informative, and all around awesome, even searching for and pointing out where the turtles were hanging out while snorkeling. This experience does require a lot of physical exertion from you, not just from paddling against the wind but also from unloading the kayaks from the truck and towing them to the beach. Local laws do not allow any commercial operations in Kailua Park, so companies must ask customers to bring all their gear to the beach. After that, you will be well cared for and most certainly have a wonderful time in what I think are Oahus most gorgeous waters.

Hired an Epic V8 for an early morning paddle with Rob. Out to the islands and then a quick dash out between 8 to 10 foot sets to the ocean. My first time out in this sized swell and Robs instructions were clear for where to go which helped my nerves. Great fun downwind back to the beach. Next time we are back I will definitely be back for more.

Great service and very informative. The weather was marginal but we wanted to give it a go. We hired a tandem ocean kayak and took up the suggestion to head north to the river at Kahana, instead of the rougher open water. It was lush and beautiful up there. The weather cleared a bit later on, so we headed out of the river mouth and got some ocean kayaking in too. Easy booking, check-out and return process.

Brian and Christain are very knowledgeable about the island, its history, and enviroment. They are inviting, accommodating, and they made sure my family and I were comfortable and having a great time. We loved seeing all the sea life (including Honu!) and they know the best places to find it. Next time well opt for the 5-hour tour because we wished we could have spent more time out there! One star is too much. We booked a turtle snorkelling tour. We were picked up and dropped off at a public beach with a cooler bag with a subway sandwich. We were told we would be picked up in 5 hours time and were just left there. We were told where to POSSIBLY find turtles and told how to get to another beach if we needed to but were warned to do so at our own risk as the other beach had no toilets, lifeguards etc and was just a empty beach. Our understanding of this tour was that we would be taken to a bay and would be in the company of a guide the entire time. We paid so much money for this and were really looking forward to having close encounters with turtles and instead we spent a day at the beach.

Great service from the girls at the place. Will be using them exclusively going forward with my future trips to the Moakes. Easy check in and check out. They provide you with straps and pads to take the kayak with your own car. I prefer them to the bigger place near the beach.

This is a great place to rent your kayaking equipment from. Not only did we get all the gear we needed for a reasonable price what I was really impressed with was the safety briefing. We were kayaking to the Mokulua islands and every detail was covered from where to park to where to launch, how to embark, how to approach, to how to land. Safety is a priority here and with my young children with us it was greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time and effort to ensure we not only had fun but we knew how to be safe as well. These guys were AMAZING to work with!! We went on an especially windy day and we were given the option to cancel the day before. We decided to go for it anyways and the wind ended up adding to the fun! Our guide, Will, was fantastic he was very patient and extremely knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend these guys!! Great service! Very knowledgeable staff! Went out to the small island they suggested. Took a dip in the queens bath, shark cove was very choppy and unfortunately we werent able to get in on that side of the water.

Very friendly staff! Teri our guide was OUTSTANDING. She took the extra time to teach my wife to snorkel, keep in mind my wife never swims and is afraid of water...so it was quite a feat of patience! She showed us an amazing time taking us out to the islands. She even told us stories of Hawaiis mythology and stories about the royals. Would recommend this place to anyone! My husband and I were looking for a great day with adventure and to see the beauty Hawaii has to offer. Twogood Kayaks took us on an amazing 4 mile kayak ride through open ocean to an island across the bay. The island was covered with protected birds that we could sit and see. Also, we were allowed to cliff jump (which my husband thoroughly enjoyed). Our guides Andrew and Teddy were very knowledgable about the area, and the history behind the island.***On a second note**** My husband lost his wedding ring while on our kayak ride. We figured it was gone and never to be seen again, but asked the staff to look around. A week after returning home we got a phone call from Andrew (our guide) stating he was diving down under where my husband was cliff jumping and he saw something shimmering. He dove down and recovered a wedding ring. He returned to the shop and reviewed that my husband had lost his ring on our excursion. Andrew verified it was ours through text message and pictures. We are SO grateful that they can return something so special to us. What a great story we have!!

I was running late AND couldnt find the beach, and they were super kind and patient about it. They have a really good thing going. We went on a 5 hour kayaking tour with Jordan. It was so much fun and he was a great guide! The water was a little rough that day, but Jordan made it fun and knew a lot about the area. The offshore islands were cool and the snorkeling was pretty good, but no turtles. Lots of fun!

Excellent service and adventure. I went on a shorter kayaking tour with my wife and daughter with Twogood Kayaks on my first trip to Oahu and we had a great time. This was my 2nd trip to Oahu (with my brother this time) and we went on their 5 hour trip to the Twin islands (forgot Hawaiian name). It was hard work, but a lot of fun

Yeah. They do NOT really rank any higher than two stars. One star for Maggie and the other for the person assisting her. The rest of the staff were just disappointing in many areas. As a group we tried to dismiss all the shenanigans and wanted to just have fun which we did. Having said that, this is the first time on this island I have had a bit of a hiccup but it’s alright. Definitely will not be back if I’m presented with a chance on this island and it is unfortunate. Oh well.

We did the 5 hour tour to the Mokulua islands.We had the unfortunate occurrence that the day of our tour it was very very windy. Early morning we got a call to warn us that the day may get windy, and depending on how windy it got we may not be able to go out. They offered to refund or move the reservation if we wanted, and explained that it was going to be a full workout. We decided to try it anyways.Transportation went well, the driver was very nice and informative. They explained some of the story of the places we drove by.On the shop, they gave us snorkeling equipment and a dry bag. They also have stuff for rent or sale if you need anything such as water shoes or sunglasses straps.They again explained how the sea was probably going to be very windy and rough, and let us go to the sea and decide then if we actually wanted to go through it. A couple people decided to reschedule.The sea was very rough, and they warned that it was unlikely that we would actually get to Mokulua islands. It was a very taxing experience, but it was fun. The guides made sure to be around and ended up towing a few people that were not able to paddle to flat island (where we went instead of Mokulua). Everyone was safe even in the strong currents. We didnt get to snorkel because of the rough sea, and because it took us the entire 5 hours going to flat island and back.All in all, fun extreme experience, make sure you are up to it if the winds are strong. If the wind is not strong, then its not so bad.P.D: Lunch is Subway sandwiches. Make sure you upgrade them if you dont like fast food.

Everyone was awesome and knowledgeable. They made it fun and educational. Someone gave a negative review because they cant transport their kayaks to the beach. There is a law prohibiting a company to do so. Asking their customers to transport their kayaks is the loophole they use. Awesome experience with an awesome group of people.

Get your trills kayaking the ocean here. Ask where the turtles are in the ocean and dont let the turtles touch your kayak. Way too much fun. Bob was nice enough to lend me his daughters Epic wing paddle. He is a national champion and a great guy all around. We are going back this Xmas and will ask for a private tour. 💜💜💜

Had a good time out on the water paddling the cliff jumping is a must. The snorkeling I would say is average you can see a few things but there are much better places to snorkel. However the beach you go to is worth the trip to swim at and sun bathe. I SUGGEST YOU TAKE A #2 BEFORE GOING OUT THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS EXCEPT FOR THE OCEAN. Other than that do go on the 6 hour tour its worth the money.

We had a great time on our 2.5 hour tour with Valiant. We had never kayaked before and had a blast and felt safe. We went to a small offshore island and then to a prestine white sand beach (Lanakai). Highly recommend. Water was very clear and warm. Tour guides were knowledgeable about the area, history, and biology of the land.

Service was great. Honored the Groupon rate, even though I hadnt purchased it. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gave great directions to launch site and how to navigate ourselves to and fro the islands. Even helped with getting us to a local brew station for a cold one afterwards! Highly recommended.

They didnt have to, but on the return bus ride, they even dropped us off right at our cruise pier.

Twogood Kayaks offers two levels of sea kayaking tours, an introductory, 2.5 hour experience and an advanced tour taking 5 hours to paddle out and back to the Molukua Islands. We signed up for the introductory tour which took us a quarter of a mile from the beach to the island named Popoia or Flat Island. Our guide Maggie was amazing. She had worked for 9 years doing tours in this part of Hawaii and gave us an informative narrative as she drove us from our hotels in Honolulu to the Twogood Kayaks Hawaii shop in Kailua. At the shop we were given excellent instruction about the equipment we were going to use, how to paddle our kayaks and how to load the kayaks back in the truck when we were finished. Then we drove to the beach with a large group going on the 5 hour trip and three of us going to Flat Island. It was then that we learned that by signing up for the 2.5 hour tour, we would have to wait another 2.5 hours after we finished for the other group to return before we could leave. Sitting on the beach or wandering around Kailua for 2.5 hours did really appeal to us so asked if we could create our own tour that did not involve the rigorous paddling required for the advanced trip. We were given permission to work with our guide on an intermediate tour experience for an additional fee.We paddled to Flat Island, had a great experience walking around the perimeter (so as not to disturb the parents and chicks of this designated bird sanctuary) and then paddled over to the Lanikai Beach. On the way we saw a beautiful sea turtle and after arriving at the beach, we ate our sack lunch that been packed in an insulated bag along with a bottle of cold water. Following lunch, we donned our masks, fins and snorkels and went swimming. There was a lot of sea life to see and we enjoyed the different varieties of fish that live around the coral heads there. We even got a nice nap. When our 5 hours was almost up, we headed back to the launch point on Kailua Beach and were joined by the group that had completed the more advanced tour. We all returned to the shop greatly satisfied with our experience.Thanks to our marvelous guide Maggie and the willingness of the owner, Bob Twogood, we turned our 2.5 hours of down time into a never to be forgotten trip that was just our speed and gave us way more than just the little trip to a bird sanctuary. Between my wife and I, we both left our phone/cameras at the kayak shop so Maggie was kind enough to take some photos of us on her phone which she sent to us the next day. All in all, this was a great experience and meet our needs completely without putting us in a situation for which we were really not prepared had we chosen the advanced tour to the Mokulua Islands.

This tour was the best part of the whole trip!

We kayakd to Chinamans hat....it was my first time Kayaking...but I only fell off twice!

Friendly, helpful staff. Got a good deal on tandem kayak rentals through Groupon. They provided all the gear we needed for transporting the kayak on top of our rental car.

Wasnt too impressed at first; the equipment looked ratty and the storage area was a mess. But our guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She made the trip (and the cost) worthwhile.

Twogood kayaks was AWESOME! They gave us great advice of where to kayak from Lanikai and were super accommodating to our schedules. The ONLY thing that would have been even more aweome is if we didnt have to schlep the kayaks, but even that was fine. :)

We rented kayak online. No biggie. Picked it up. Great initial service. Huge problem with the companies ability to know whats actually going on in the water. They use a kiteboarding website to track weather. We were told it was going to be a beautiful day on the water. Not so much. 19mph headwinds. All the locals pulled their canoes out of the water. I turned back in after paddling 22 minutes and barely getting a quarter of a mile. I made it back to shore in 4 minutes. That is not a typo. Getting accurate up to date whether is not hard. This company will put your life at risk for $50. Not honrable, smart, or trustworthy business practices. Choose another company. Id post pictures of the wind blowing if I could.

Amazing time! Booked it through my hotel concierge and did a kayak/snorkel around Lani Kai. Was really the highlight of the trip! Was able to cliff jump too!

What an awesome experience!!! My husband and I were visiting the island in celebration of our honeymoon. We decided on the 5-hr Guided Kayak Tour (included: kayak to a secluded island, have lunch, hike around the island, snorkel, then head back). We were picked up from our hotel (which I highly recommend) by Beau (or Bo - not sure how he spells it) and he partially played tour guide of the island on our way to the TwoGood site, he recommended a lot of awesome hikes and restaurants to check out during our time on the island. We also had the pleasure of having our tour guided by both Ben and Val - both did an awesome job giving us tips, keeping us alive, and keeping us far away from the white water. I was stung by a jelly-fish during our tour but the team was well equipped with topical treatments for these unforeseeable situations. Im obviously fine and the sting and swelling went down in a matter of an hour. Anyways, I would definitely recommend checking out TwoGood Kayaks if youre headed to the island of Oahu!

I cant really rate this business on their services because I didnt get to use them. However, I feel a little scammed from a Groupon I purchased.Please note, they do not transport rentals to the beach, even though they are over a mile from the beach and it does not state on their website.Im staying in Kailua, Im not renting a car to transport a kayak one mile. I only assumed so because every kayak place Ive ever rented from, not on the water, transports the gear you rent from them?If you are visiting the island without a car, rent a kayak from somewhere else!

I first came across Twogood Kayaks via Google, and was impressed by the great reviews. While staying in Waikiki I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, and experience the natural beauty of Oahu. I also planned on proposing to my girlfriend, and thought that it would be great idea to do so during a private guided kayaking tour. After speaking with owner Bob Twogood himself, who couldn’t have been more informed or accommodating, we came up with a once in a lifetime adventure.Long story short, our adventure to the Mokulua Islands exceeded even my wildest expectations. Our guide, Valiant, was a consummate professional and couldn’t have been nicer; a common theme with Twogood Kayaks). Twogood Manager Juergen, and the whole staff went above and beyond to make this a truly unforgettable experience, even going so far as surprising us with flower leis upon our return to the shop as a newly engaged couple. This touching gesture exemplifies how Twogood Kayaks embodies the Hawaiian spirit of Ohana (family). Regardless of the occasion or adventure chosen, I can’t recommend Twogood Kayaks highly enough! We will certainly be utilizing their services again upon future return trips to Oahu.

Val is a great guide and Ben from New York is a lot of fun. This is an awesome reliable local company and I loved the Mokulua Island. Mahalo nui new friends.
