This place was great it not only had guitars but supplies for guitar. It also had keyboards and drums as well as woodwind instrument,however the amount of woodwinds are very small. You can also rent instruments, record and take guitar lessons and keyboards lessons

Very nice service and selection, went to get a gift for a friend. Salesman were very helpful, not pushy at all, even when they realized I was not really versed in music instruments. They knew what they were talking about and my friend loved it.

Went to pick up a placed and paid for order.With the speed of technology today you would expect an order to not take more than a few minutes to complete.Showed up hours after the order was complete and they still did not have the finished paperwork to release the product.Now had to schedule another person to go pick it up.Lots of wasted time!

During COVID I decided to pick up playing acoustic guitar. I bought my guitar, case, picks and accessories here. Just recently, I start in person guitar lessons as I was having some issues with my self taught learning.Eric has been my instructor and so far he is helping me improve my playing. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow and can see coming back for other stuff I will need later.

Very nice customer service. We took our son to try out some of their guitars and they checked on us many times to make sure we were doing ok. We ended up buying other stuff but well come back to get the guitar later on since they have a trade-in even going on.

The young Gent that helped me at Guitar Center, I believe he was a new employee.That young man was very respectful, polite with a humble Spirit as he spoke to me. If he did not have the answers to my questions he made an effort to get the answers, he took the time to help me understand the equipment that I was purchasing and also explain the warranty that was available w/o me asking. I appreciate that young Gentlemen because of the respect he gave me and if the world had more people living in it like him... it would be a better place. I wish him nothing but blessings in his journey of life...FYI: NEVER CHANGE.

I swore I would never go back to a guitar center but the staff at this one changed my mind. Prices are same as sweetwater and you get it the same day. Justin was awesome and had some great info on a lot of different products, obviously very knowledgeable about music. Both times I was in, I was checked on multiple times and had many questions answered. Keep up the good work. Cant be easy listening to smoke on the water played out of tune 400 times a day.

Came here to purchase my first ever acoustic guitar and was very happy overall with the customer service and selection. I believe Frank helped me and took the time explain the different options I had.Ended up purchasing a Yamaha gigmaker and so far so good. Except my fingers hurt a little. Lol

Great place to shop or get advice.

The store was clean. The staff immediately greeted me when I walked in and pointed me in the right direction of where I needed to go to find what I was looking for. It was awesome listening to people play different instruments.I was however surprised that I was in the store for 45 minutes and at no point did anyone come and ask me if I needed help or engage with me in any way. So that was disappointing.

We visited the store when we came home to Michigan a year ago! The place has a certain ambiance that drew us in! Im not a guitar person, my son was and he was blown away by the selection and service he received while we were there! Even though I dont live in Michigan anymore, I will support this shop if I can if we need accessories and when my son is able to afford that Les Paul he wants, he will look her first!!

Yesterday I went to the guitar store, I’ve been interested in playing an electric guitar even though I’ve never played anything before. When I walk into the store I see many guitars, drums, and other instruments. They have nice instruments!When I was looking for an electric guitar I would be interested in there was no “ how may I help you” or “ what could I do to assist you today” they’re instruments are quite nice but they’re staff doesn’t help the customer at all. I’m very disappointed in but I’ll still go because they’re instruments are nice.

I put a Guitar on layaway last year for my son. 50$ deposit. We decided on a different gift for Christmas. I worked out of town a LOT over the next few months. I wasnt able to make it back to this store to get a cash refund or use my credit. I dont live near this location & was so busy with work that I couldnt make it back...I was told that my 50$ was no long available. 🤨

Went in there yesterday on my birthday to make a big purchase, as I had a few guitar models in mind after looking up their inventory online. No one acknowledged me in regards to sales help. Two of the staff where plugged in and jamming. Every single tele I looked at had major body damage and chips to the finish. I grabbed one and asked if this was just a floor model and they had more in the back. I was told whats on the rack is what they have and the price is what it is. I went and browsed some more hoping to find something that wasnt a mess, and no one again came over to assist or inquire what my needs were. I left frustrated and no one greeted me as I left. If they dont get in to high gear and change things they will be out of business at that location within a year. With that presentation Id personally never go back.

Today I visited the Katy and College Station Texas locations. I was in Houston for work today and arrived at the Katy location at 1:30 PM. I was in front of the guitars for about 15 minutes. There were only 2 other customers and 5 employees present. Never 1 word from any employees to me. 2 employees were at the service counter across from the guitars casually talking to each other. I made eye contact with both but they never moved so I left.Unbelievably, on the way back to my office I stopped by the College Station location at 3:30 PM and the same scenario played out. The only differences were 3 available employees and on the way out the door I literally heard later dude.Heres a tip for both locations. When an older guy comes into the store wearing a shirt with his companys logo on it and stares at the top row of guitars he just might have a job and have money. In this case money to buy a $1100.00 guitar.I have already purchased an Alesis DM10 drum set, a Gretsch guitar and many accessories from the College Station location. I have also purchased several guitars from Dallas and Arlington locations including 2 custom shop Fender Stratocasters. I have spent many thousands of dollars at Guitar Center over the years. I suppose customer loyalty and customer service are just not what they used to be. Sad.

I came here looking for a used Electric Guitar and found a very reasonably priced one with a brand new neck. After attempting to tune it I had some trouble. I returned with the guitar and Frank went right away to helping me. After about 30 mins and some instruction the guitar was playing wonderfully and holding a tune. Thank alot!!! I will be back!!

Chris in the Lessons Dept was super attentive and accommodating when I took my 7 year old for the free kids guitar lesson last night. He did everything possible to make sure we were situated, comfortable, and expressed genuine concern when a part of my sons guitar broke off. Appreciate it, Chris!

A surprising amount of instruments and equipment inside....including ALOT of the latest (and coolest) stuff.Staff was very down to earth and easily approachable; All were very willing to assist me with the smallest of things. They all had professional, albeit friendly, attitudes as opposed to the robotic androids encountered at some OTHER Music & Instrument stores.

I bought an amazing Yamaha acoustic guitar, at a very good price! Frank was very helpful as well. Definitely an awesome place to shop for musical instruments.

Great equipment and products, but its the same problem in a typical retail store today - no one has the technical knowledge to assist me and there arent enough employees in the building. Feels a lot like Home Depot! I research the equipment online, contact tech support directly associated with the brands that Im interested in buying, then purchase from Guitar Center. But dont rely on their staff for technical knowledge!

Have visited here several times. Zach helped with a modification to my acoustic guitar and was very knowledgeable and friendly. A manager also helped me make a purchase decision on an acoustic by playing both and articulating differences in sound and fabrication of the guitars. Great experiences here.

Went all over town looking for sound equipment for my church only to find out that this place is the one stop shop. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful..

I was needing some assistance to buy mics and rhythm machines .. assistance was really great. Associate helped me with different mics and machines in details and also asked whats our basic need and we explained our church needs and he further customized our items and suggested the items which really best suited our needs. Unfortunately I dont remember his name but kudos to him.

I called ahead to see if they could fit me in to have my ukelele restrung. The tech was on his way out, but was gracious enough to fit me in. All of the guys were friendly, and gave a warm greeting. Definitely recommend this Guitar Center if youre in the area.

Its a great place. I shaved off 2 stars because Kevin, regularly working employee there, has always put his conversations before helping me. Who knows maybe its just me. Then again though, I am a customer. Never have I once seen him help people with their needs. My advice, go to the Westheimer guitar center :)

These guys are awesome. I come in every now and then to blow off steam and look at all their equipment. The staff is nice and the equipment is well organized. Theyll ask if you need help if you look like you need help, otherwise they wont both you. Each employee Id knowledgeable and attentive. Check it out and consider buying from a guitar center so we can keepem in business.

They have a big selection of guitars, if you love them you could spend hours just checking, its really nice. However, I went to buy an acoustic guitar and I couldnt get help from salesman because he was too busy with others. Whats the point of having a huge store if you dont have enough personnel?!

I show up and another child is there for the time. I say that’s okay accidents happen I will be back next week. Wait we gave your time slot away too. WHAT. You can have a different teacher on a different day. I have two kids taking lessons here which is why I scheduled the lessons at the same time. Why would I move my kids who already have a rapport with their teachers and come on two different days. Why not own up to the mistake YOU made and fix it. Taking my money and kids elsewhere!!Asked to speak to the manager. He had already left by 6 on Saturday. Looking forward to hearing from Trevor (not back till Tuesday). Had to drive home with a 6 year old in tears. Thanks a lot!!!!
