Terrible communication between the staff! Rented from uhaul for a while now, but this location called us multiple times while using a trailer, saying we needed to bring it back when they initially said we could use it until the next day in person. It not only inconvenienced our move, but when we told them about how things were initially presented to us, they did not fix their mistake and we still had to bring the trailer back. Lack of professionalism, and they should schedule their time slots better or communicate to their customers better.
Just stopped by. Asked to buy a propane tank. Lady at desk said go to large propane tank outside and wait. 15 minutes later, as I baked in the sun and two employees were yukking it up nearby in the shade, I decided to leave. Have been here before and have seen the same lazy attitude.Went to U-Haul Grand Parkway N - short distance away - and got taken care of in no time.
Worst uhaul4 employees doing nothing and told my wife they were busy so she had to wait 20minutes just to pick up prepaid boxes.She decided to leave with empty hands

Terrible customer service! The truck that was rented broke down 5 times. We called to get someone to help fix the truck but we were left on hold for 2 hours! Never using uhaul again!
A great place, these people are very nice.I used their services twice, the first time I went there, they were almost closed, but Emmanuel kindly opened the door for us, and took care of us. He is very nice.I love this place, and I will still go there next time.I strongly recommended.
No one likes to move their own stuff. Come on, you know youd rather spend the weekend grilling but its often much cheaper if you provide the legwork.I came in to a long line. Its Saturday so thats expected but I had a reservation so I hoped this would help. Nope.I overheard 3 customers be told to call the main number to resolve issues. I didnt think that was good at all. Stores need to he able to resolve things on their own.The staff is courteous and respondent but somewhat helpless to the antiquated or unsupported tech they have. Its odd becaus the counter here has a myriad of issues, from scans not uploading to cc readers not working. I ended up spending 2 hours trying to get my rental; and I had a reservation.I say its odd because the self check in feature used to return items after store hours worked perfectly. I expected issue but it worked like a charm. (Pic)The equipment is standard stuff and the knowledge staff has is good.Tip: Always reserve and ALWAYS call a day before you are to pick up. Uhaul rentals are dependent on other people returning their rentals. Twice customers were turned away because someone else didnt return their rentals.

After moving over 1000 miles, working 9 hours days and trying to move into our new house time was slipping away from us. Mike gave us the most relief weve had in over a week. I had the pleasure of having Nikki Cole help me. She was wonderful and understanding with the unforeseen issue that came up during my move. I underestimated the size of truck I needed. Nikki turned my emergency mishap into a non-issue. She was able to fix my problem in a matter of minutes because she had a larger truck on the lot. She allowed us to transfer everything from one truck to the other. This UHAUL place is a no-hassle moving experience.
Terribly slow. Outside staff dont know what online check in is. For the size of the place you would think that they would have it down but nope. They do have the best selections and location cant be beat. But you could still save time driving somewhere else.
The service here is awesome! We rented the 26’ truck for art 🖼 warehouse. Had to extend the rental period due to subpar weather conditions without any problems. This is our first time and will be our go to U-Haul in the future! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
No one here knows what to do regarding the U-box. I scheduled the pickup time twice and they even called an hour before to confirm, and they gave me an empty box instead of the box with my belongings. They act clueless, one of the young men here acts scared to even deal with a forklift. The young ladies are so rude. Not only have I experienced this but two other people I know have experienced this unorganized business at this uhual at katy freeway location.
I came at 7: 47Pm. They Close at 8pm to drop off a trailer I rented from Round Rock Texas and brought it to Katy Texas / there was two guys on location and they will not return the trailer for me and had an attitude and told me just use the app and walked away leaving me to unload the trailer by myself and spending over 30 minutes trying to figure out how to drop it off and not being responsible, after several phone calls to U-Haul we finally got it to let me return it online. It took an hour process for something they could have done within 5 to 10 minutes, especially it was before 8 p.m. so I recommend NOT renting from this PLACE, I JUST CAME BACK TO HOUSTON AREA FROM AUSTIN EVERYBODY IS GOT A CHIP ON THE SHOULDER IN THIS CITY, AND THESE GUYS THAT WORK AT THIS LOCATION SURE DID SHOW THE CHIP THEY HAVE ON THEIR SHOULDERS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I WISH I COULD RATED ZERO STARS..
I have been renting for a few months now through this place. I paid for 24 hour access. Not once have I been able to get in during hours without assistance or after hours at all. My card stopped working to get in so I was told they set it up to open on the PIN I had created. I am literally sitting in the parking lot right now after six attempts to get in. I tried calling the number for the manager for after hours and got a busy signal all three attempts. I hit the intercom, no answer. I will likely be moving my stuff out and moving to a different location entirely after this. I work retail hours, so Im not always able to get here when they are open. I paid extra for a service that is not being given.
I have been going to this location over Ten years since my children started College. They are efficient, accommodating and polite. Rhonda has been there as long as I have been coming! She is professional and I look forward to seeing her next trip. Without saying... Low employee turnover speaks for itself. Keep up the good work!

Recently purchased a home in Katy and was not allowed to rent a truck by their manager because I do not have a Texas license. Texas is not my primary residence, I have a license from the state where I currently live. I can buy property in Katy but apparently can’t rent a truck from them for a few hours. I’ll be moving to Katy in a year but I won’t be doing business with this u haul place. Idk what the managers problem is because funny thing I have previously rented from them when I was taken care of by another worker. The manager needs to wake up and realize he’s costing this place money by refusing services
While they have a selection, some of the staff can be quite rude and unprofessional to the point Ill go instead to Home Depot and rent equipment from there, even if its a few bucks more.
All I can say is that I have never had a good experience at these places. However, this location is great. Always have a good selection of trucks and trailers and the customer service has always been good. Need a u-haul at the last minute? Give this place a look.
I have used them several times. They do a great job.
I had four U-Boxes delivered here when I moved from across the country. I had a date scheduled where I was supposed to have access to these, and subcontracted movers were supposed to help me with the transport and unloading of the U-Boxes. However, I met the movers here, and the staff seemed confused that we had shown up for these. They then sent a guy out to get the crates onto trailers so that they could turn them over to us. It took him over an hour to get ONE of the four loaded because he kept getting distracted and dragging his feet. It put us severely behind schedule. When a manager finally got around to handling the situation himself, he completed the job in about ten minutes. Absolutely awful. The movers, on the other hand, were fantastic, and they made the most of a bad situation. In other words, the only positive part of this experience was the very helpful guy who didnt even work for U-Haul.
I made a reservation a few days before I needed my 26 ft truck. I only intended to keep the truck for one day, but we realized moving would take us 2 days. I called to extend the reservation in the morning on the day we were picking up. It was no trouble. We returned the truck after hours on day 2 by dropping keys in their night drop. The next day I got an email finalizing my bill, which was within $5 of the estimate I was given. Overall all the staff was friendly and helpful, the location and business practices were convenient and stress free. I am a satisfied customer & definitely recommend this location.
Moving is stressful already. Moving out of state even more so. We came in a little frazzled and Robert, the owner, and his staff were so incredibly patient and kind and helped us get situated and just made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this location.
Service for propane has gone down. They limit you to five small 20 lb tanks now and youre lucky if they have someone certified to help you during business hours. Out of the last six visits, three times I had to leave empty handed because no one certified was there to fill my tanks.

Reserved a uhaul. When I was filling up the truck after I left I realized the gate of the uhaul was padlocked. I took it back to the store. It took 45 minutes to resolve the issue. I ended up getting a different truck that I had to fill up also. This was on a Monday morning when they had no customers. On top of this they didnt apologize. They are a combination of dumb, careless, and rude. I wouldnt recommend this store to anyone.
I returned the truck the same night when I was finished with moving. The next morning I received a call telling me that the truck was never returned Im assuming they found it considering it was checked in later that day and sitting in the parking lot all day with the key in the office. Also when the reservation was made I was told it would be .40 per mile apparently the person I spoke to on the phone was incorrect because I was later charged I believe 1.06 per mile. Im very disappointed and will not be renting from uhaul again. Also to top it off when I was picking the truck up one of the customer reps was less than pleasant luckily the one helping me was nice but the woman next to him was very ugly to him and not professional.
Do you like terrible customer service, a disgusting GM, poorly maintained equipment and being over-charged multiple times on your credit card? If so, this is THE place for you! Have done business at this location multiple times (my fault, I know), but no more. Waiting 45 minutes in the parking lot just to be acknowledged by the staff to turn in a truck was awful, and it was compounded by the lazy and rude employees at the location. One employee has no business being there, as he is unable to even move around the office, and the rest are incredibly slow and unprofessional. But, maybe its not their fault--just look at the example that their GM (Rhonda Holliday) provides. (She has her card on the counter, thats how I know her name.) Every time I have had the misfortune to interact with her--or see someone else do it--it has been the worst part of my week. She tries to talk down to each person, and she reacts to any question with a snide remark and the invitation to go anywhere else if you cant handle this. I wish I had proof of this, but when I was recently in there, I distinctly heard her tell another employee, Oh great, were getting all the blacks this month. Shameful.
Ive rented a trailer here before and have never had a problem till today. BEING RUDE will not get you customers to continue being loyal. Over Charging me like I went over to the next city when I drove less than 20 miles for my needs and getting it back. Will not be back here EVER again! Fix your nasty attitudes or keep losing business. The discount you gave me compensates for that nasty attitude you have when resolving an issue. I will be reporting this situation else where.
Great U-Haul location. I have used them a handful of times to rent pickups. Their check-in/out process is really quick and they have a lot of vehicles. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
Easy appointment, got me in and out, well qualified staff. I thought I needed my truck rewired and technician showed me it was fine. It is nice to deal with an honest business.
We got to this location at about 640pm (they close at 7) and there was a line and this place was busy. Great thing for businesses. Once it was our turn to be waited on the guy that checked us out (said his name was Anthony but the receipt said Marciano) first proceeded to tell his other two coworkers they needed to hurry up because he had another job that he had to go to, then asked his fellow coworker named Tyler to take care of us while he closed out his drawer ( mind you we still have not been greated because all they are doing right now is arguing ) They both proceeded to clearly voice how they didn’t want to take care of her order but both wanted to close out the drawer so they could go. Finally we were greeted and our rental was taken care of. Renting a U-Haul is not something that most people do on a daily basis, he literally went to go get the truck, parked it, and handed us the keys and said have a nice night. Didn’t show us how to use it or explain about the parking break or getting the key out of the ignition or locking the back. Thank goodness there was a gentleman that was outside that did work for the company who saw us struggling with the back. We wanted to make sure we knew how to open it. He explained to us the basics of what we needed to know. Normally we would’ve just canceled the order and taking our business elsewhere but we were in a situation where we had to pick up the items that night. So as if that situation hadn’t been bad enough then we had to deal with the rest. The truck had over 100k miles on it which wouldn’t have been bad if the truck had been maintained maintenance wise. The Washer blades were awful and of course we were dealing with rain, the driver door leaked so all the rain was getting in (Of course when we first rented the truck it wasn’t raining so we didn’t know this), the headlights were so dim you couldn’t see the street not to mention that they would flicker on and off so we tried to use the highbeams but for whatever reason they were tilted so high we still couldn’t do utilize them .Needless to say the quick rental was an awful experience.
Horrible service. Charged me 10 gas for going 4 miles total. Bad business, I DO NOT RECOMMEND LOCATION TO ANYONE. Gas hand was in the exact same place i left it’. NEVER GOING back
I had a total moving day meltdown. I was rude, and difficult. The owner, Robert, gave me a big ole’ dad hug and worked with us for an hour and a half to get us ready and taken care of. Totally saved the day. Thanks Robert! You have an awesome team.
Fast and efficient. They generally always have the equipment I need. Trailers are plentiful. 4-5 times a year I rent trailers from here. Never an issue.

DO NOT RENT HERE. I was denied from renting a van from this location because I dont have a TX drivers licebsed.I have never heard of such thing. I contacted customer support and they told me thats not company policy. I was not given an explanation on why I was denied. I will never return to this location
If I could honestly give them NO stars I certainly would give this U-Haul moving and storage service definitely a zero ; They were rude to us on the day that we had scheduled to pick up our truck and did not want to work with us for their was computer issues on their part they talked down to us as we were children and it’s very disrespectful to treat customers in such a egotistical and disgusting way. I work in customer service myself and I would never treat a customer that way if this location wants to stay in business they need a 101 course in human interaction. This U-Haul location employees seem to have NO HOME TRAINING and obviously it starts from the top like pyramid scheme ;the manager herself who was disrespectful to me an my family members on Friday, May 4, 2018 I will not be going back to this location and I would not suggest this location to any human being who has great social skills.

I am highly upset with their incorrect billing system that needs to be updated. I was incorrectly billed $70 for a storage unit that I have never order and have never used. This is totally ludicrous.

Signage on door says open until 6pm. Got there at 5:53.. yes it’s close, but all I was doing was dropping off the truck. Doors were locked while employees( I counted around 6 of them sat inside and laughed.) There were about 7 costumers outside before 6pm wanting to return their trucks. It only took a man yelling through the door for them to finally acknowledge people standing outside. Yes, I know there is a drop box for your key to return the truck, but since their gas gage was rigged I wanted to make sure they didn’t try to charge me for something else.
I have been here twice and both have been amazing experiences. I would highly recommend this U-Haul. The owners are there and they really care that is why they are successful! Thank you hollidays

Have been doing business here for several years. Always meet my needs for storage and transport.
We recieved a truck with a nail in the front tire. We brought it back to get the tire repaired or replaced. The staff advised we had to call roadside assistance even though the staff has all the equipment needed for repairs in the uhaul bay. The younger generation staff provided no assistance and showed a lack of customer service. Poor attention to safety and service.
Rhonda and Rick were beyond amazing! My trailer lights werent working and they thoroughly diagnosed the problem and fixed it (it wasnt a simple fuse). It was a stressful day for the store because of the approaching hurricane and Rhonda handled everything calmly. I honestly cant say the same for the other two employees that were working inside but Rhonda was great!
Rhonda is AWESOME!!! We had made a reservation on Uhauls website 2 weeks in advance and they called 2 days prior to us picking up the truck that they didnt have it available. I called Rhonda and she made it happen right then! She makes things happen when they need to happen!!!!Thanks Rhonda!!!!
Horrible customer service, disrespectful.They treat you like you they are giving you a job.They try to cheat on gas, didnt want to show storage unit and wanted me to sign without seeing.They try to force you to buy items you dont need.Also very expensive prices.
Waited in line for almost 45 minutes to find out they had no trucks available but only by reservation. Instead of informing customers there are no available trucks for walk ins they just have you wait and waste your time.
I moved this weekend, so to prepare, I reserved a truck to be picked up at 8:30am 2 days before my move. I get there Saturday for the staff to tell me that i was cancelled since I never showed up for the 7am pickup. I never set a 7am pickup, only 8:30.Luckily they did have a extra truck I could rent, it was smaller though so I had to make two trips instead of the 1 I was planning. Also the truck we had was old and not well maintained. The alignment was out of whack, so the steering wheel was always to the side even when I was driving straight. Also the dashboard lights wouldnt go on all the way, so I couldnt see how fast I was going or how much fuel I had left when I was driving at night.I feel like I got a bad truck, so thats why I gave this review 3 stars instead of 2, but it is inexcusable that their software messed up my reservation. I will find out in 2 weeks when I move again if all their trucks are like this.
Went to reserve a truck online and it said availability not guaranteed that you need to call the specific branch to make sure. Tried calling this branch but they had their phone forwarded to the national call center who said they would pass along my information to the branch and I would receive a call within a couple hours. 8 hours go by and I drive over to the branch to find out they have no trucks available to rent. The person working there was playing around on their cell phone which apparently made them so busy they had to forward the business phone to the call center and never could bother themselves to call me back. Waste of an hour of my life in traffic driving here for absolutely no reason. They suggested I go to Dairy Ashford to get a truck like that is close by in rush hour traffic on a Friday, no thanks ill rent from a different company.
These people are either 1) Scam artists 2) morons 3) incompetent 4) all of the above.I made a reservation online for a 26 truck for $39.95. Put my cc info and everything in so it would be a breeze picking up and dropping off. They offer a mobile/quick pick up and drop off via your mobile. I then called them and spoke to a man and let him know one of my workers or brother in law would be picking up the truck, No problem. All they have to do is pick up the truck, youve already filled everything out onlineMy brother in law goes to pick it up and they ask for his cc. WHY? ALL of my information is in their system already.I asked for a 9 hour rental, after 4 hours it was returned as they finished very early. Filled it up with gas, they only drove 10 miles. So, $39.95 plus $.99 a mile x 10, $50 with taxes.My BIL texts me that UHAUL CHARGED HIS CARD $82.13!?! WHY?! I call in -- apparently the man canceled my online reservation and gave him the IN PERSON COST of $79.95. WHAT? WHY? Then he added a fee for damage insurance, which I denied online. He still charged it.I called and set on hold for over 30 minutes. A lady answers, has no idea what happened. Her dogs were barking so loud I couldnt hear her. She was talking to someone else who was knocking on her door while trying to help me. All she did was transfer me to the regional office, which I am still on hold. Absolutely no apology, no explanation as to why this happened. My parents own a UHAUL in another city and this is 100% unacceptable. I would NEVER in a million years use or recommend these people to anyone.The man Damon who works at the regional center, was great. Credited back everything. I wish I had 0 stars.
Terrible customer service one lady I seen her name tag Nicole she has a arm tattoo VERY rude I have never understood why people like her even work customer service. It’s like she was mad that it was customers coming in (like hello!!! We’re your paycheck) she was very RUDE. You asked a simple question she looked at you like you were dumb and gave a sarcastic answer I didn’t even want to stay long I didn’t order cause I refuse to give my money to mean people who don’t appreciate my presence& no one else’s she was rude to everyone in there and had a bad argument with one customer and instead of ignoring the situation she encouraged more. Don’t go here ! I plan on not ever going here till that girl is long gone I hope the manager sees this too and handle her.
Sadly these folks cheat you.I rented a trailer for a day. They failed to check it in properly and billed me for an extra day.When I called to question the extra charge, they basically said tough luck.Dont use these folks!!!This needs a ZERO star rating for crooked businesses.

I rented a truck and tow dolly from this location. I reserved it online and did the early check in. The place I originally wanted to rent from did not have a tow dolly. So I ended up at this location.I was already kinda frustrated because I was on a time limit. I dealt with the owner of this location. He was the rudest person I have ever encountered! He was snarky, and had a nasty attitude. I informed him that I was on a time frame and needed to be in and out quickly. I informed him that I already did the early check in. He said well I have to do this, do you want the truck or not. He then pulled his personal phone out and took a picture of my bank card, (front and back) and my DL. He took over 30 minutes to get the truck.I have dealt with this location on several occasions. Never have a ever been treated this way. The owner really needs to know how to speak to customers. I will be calling uhaul and making a complaint against this location.
Horrible the ladys at this uhaul have very bad attitudes. Before I came a week ago checking storage and decided not because of a rude blonde hair tall lady. I was talk to a man long dark hair, she started over talking him telling me different information trying to fuss wit me about what I was told over the phone. I walked away said ok she still yelling across the store being very unprofessional. I left went took my business to another storage. They talk to you smart mouth the treat you like dirt. Talk to you like robots. I called to speak to a manger to tell her about my complaints and a lady said first the manger is unavailable then she said Ms. Rhonda is out for 2 two weeks so there is no one you can talk to . First I came in no one spoke (no hi, may I help you). It’s like they know if your there you need them to move which is already stressful so they feel they can treat you like take it or leave it. The men there are nice is that group of lady’s. They sat and talk about past customer how no one bring trucks back, some accidents that happen laughing carrying on it was crazy. Then a young lady with arm tattoos and short black hair checked me out very rude and unfriendly. She told me my truck was due back at midnight while I was picking up my truck at 2pm or else I would get charged 150. I told her no one told me this. She said when you made you reservation online it said it. Then I stated I called in someone on the phone made the reservation then she had the nerve to rudely said (WELL IM TELLING YOU NOW). Then she just looked at me like what you going to do ? I said that’s unfair and inconvenient but ok because I was already press for time. If I wasn’t I would have just cancel and never came back again. I was already dreading coming because of the past treatment but this uhaul is close to my home. She was talking to me like I was her child about everything she kept pressing the issue about me be charged for this or that if I didn’t follow the rules. It was ridiculous and humiliating. I started to question was it about racism or bad customer services. I ended up of course not being able to move everything from 2:30 pick up truck then movers came at 6:00pm so I had from 6-10 to move because my storage closed at 10:00 pm .I live on the third floor over 1400 square feet apartment with heavy furniture was rushed and I had to pay someone the next day to help finish moving me because I wasn’t able to keep the truck 24 hours it was horrible over 100 degrees in Houston rushing all because they over booked at needed the truck back because of a reservation at 7:20 am but I had to have the truck back at 12:00am at night. I ended up having to stay at my apartment a extra 2 days after my lease was up because of this incident at the uhaul. Finding someone with a truck and still having to go to work. When I planned on moving everything when I got the truck within the 24 hours but only had it about 4 hours to move! Still paid uhaul on time though with all the fees she threatened me with if I didn’t. The truck wasn’t even gas correctly at 1/4 I just left because I didn’t want to deal with them again. I filled the tank up with 1/4 anyway when I returned because of the gangster like women working there. I own a business I would never want them as employees!!!!!!!!! This was such a inconvenience and the most horrible experience I ever had with uhaul and I have used this same uhaul a couple times. I will never or recommend this uhaul again until it’s staffed and supervised correctly! Those lady are horrible I can bet money I’m not the only one that has experience this at this location.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE RUDE, INCOMPETENT, DESPICABLE SCOUNDRELS! This location has turned me off of UHaul for the rest of my life. Any interaction with the people at this location is terrible, whether picking up or dropping off. Regardless of time of day/day of week, you will spend a minimum 30 minutes waiting to be helped...but, then, youll wish you hadnt been! The staff at the computers are woefully inept and completely rude; they answer every question with an eyeroll and sneer. When I was in line, I saw one employee quit helping a customer, go over to another worker, and start talking about that customer! The outside staff is no better, as they take every effort to avoid you and having to do their job. Obviously, this all comes from the general manager, Rhonda Holliday. She is a true witch of a woman, always screaming and berating customers. Her only concern is charging as much as possible as quickly as possible and getting them out the door. Have a question? Too bad. Dont agree with the bill? Get out. Rhonda Holliday is the worst!!
Service was slow but good, they had one complain about the gas but they didnt charge me anything. I fill up on the closest gas station till the pump stop and drove to the drop up place that argue that the tank was not full.
Great service. Had a little trouble when hooking up the uhaul trailer but the associate was able to troubleshoot the problem and got us on the road.
Super friendly staff and they made it easy in and out.
Have tried several times over the last few years to rent a trailer from here for several different tasks and everytime (and mind you this is with a different vehicle everytime) their insurance restrictions has kept me from doing so. Even though my vehicles are never more than 5 years old and have never been anything but trucks or SUVs. They have the most ridiculous restrictions I have ever heard of.

Idiot walked out to the propane dock and tells me that the only guy that can pump my propane is busy and nobody else is certified to run a two step system. Offered to show him how, and instead tells me more or less, Too Bad. What kind of management operates a business in this manner? Why would you have the only guy that can pump propane be busy on a Friday afternoon? Bunch of dolts over here.
Long wait for pickup of reservation & truck was old & in poor shape.Drivers seat belt was not working & physically broken, the drivers door had bad wind & water leak & mirrors would not stay in position set by driver.

I stopped to get propane on the way home, the gentleman that came out to see me was very unfriendly and rude! Propanes another dollar a gallon here to little ridiculous!!
Extremely rude, lady confused her own words then argues with you and finally hangs up on you.
Big place with everything but slow as molasses
I have rented here several times, but never will again.I reserved a trailer 2 days in advance and in the middle of the night I received a text message from Uhaul that I have to drive to Sugar land to get the trailer4 hours later than I need it and would be charged a drop off fee to return it to Katy. The young lady I talked to was nice but management is very rude.

Check your truck, the dolly, the steering, the brakes, cause they will blame you for everything without question, by the look of it without advising you to before you take it. Get the insurance, that will save your butt.
Checking in my rental, overcharged me on gas that I made sure was level. Took 5 days for my refund
Worst customer service. Waited 45 minutes to get help. One person working inside keeps apologizing for the long wait. Go elsewhere
