What can I say... my experience has been exemplary. I bought a PRS McCarty 594 Core Series, and a Fender Stratocaster 64 Journeyman Relic. JD is extremely knowledgeable and honest. He is always happy to respond to my texts or calls, and doesnt try to push you into a sale. He has helped direct me to certain models based on specific things that are important to me. I live out of state and everything has been handled professionally. I will be purchasing anything I can from him. Now I just hope he gets the other brands as well. I have no need to go anywhere else. I will also be recommending him to some of my own clients. Anyone interested in any of his products should buy from him without reservation. I am already planning a couple of more PRS purchases.

What a great experience I have to share visiting JD at Guitar Mavericks new store in Jonestown Tx. The store is beautifully set up with so many different varities of guitars. If you are in to PRS this is a must! I was fortunate enough to be at the Grand Opening of the new store on my 50th birthday. Amazingly a guitar (John Mayer limited edition PRS Lunar Ice) which I thought would be out of reach for me was at Guitar Maverick. Not just that, but JD the owner had the prescence of mind to hold back two of these models for over a year to sell at his opening. If that wasnt amazing enough JD sold me the linited edition guitar for the same price from the original release day. There is no doubt why he gets such great reviews, a man of integrity. I will definately be doing my business with Guitar Maverick in the future!

Guitar maverick is one of the nicest guitar shop I have ever been to.Appointment only with the luxury of being able to bring in your own pedal board and amp to truly try out a guitar is the best way to go.JD was extremely friendly and really wants to make sure his customers bond with an instrument and find what works for them.I can not recommend them enough. Guitar Maverick is an awesome place to buy guitars. I have bought probably 10 guitars from JD, he is very focused on your needs, finds great opportunities for you and always ships quickly. I have never had a problem. The store is super cool, but JD always tells you it is by appointment only. Makes sense to me, why spend money on keeping the store open all the time, that will just make the guitars more expensive! Keep it up JD!

Love this Place! Private and intimate setting made possible by appointment only. I was able to listen to each guitars unique sound at my own pace. I brought my amp but also checked out several of the ones JD had there. I’m a PRS guy but they had a cool selection of Fenders, Framus as well as acoustics. I had seen guitar maverick at the Dallas show this year but made the appointment so I could hear the guitars with out the distraction of convention noise before I made my purchase. Highly recommend, love the personal touch they provide. They even had Paul from PRS at their booth and some of his artist he brought, clearly they have a good relationship with the owner and that says something! Five stars all the way! Drove all the way there to find out theyre open by appointment only. When I called the person I spoke to was in Austin. It seems like this place is more somebodys hobby than their business. I would shop elsewhere.
