First time dining here but I liked it. I had the breakfast plate with grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, and wheat toast. The grits were bland and the bacon was paper-thin but the other items were good. Ate a small piece of the breakfast burrito filled with scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, and salsa and it was flavorful and nice size. The staff is friendly.
Small, quiet and with good, basic breakfast choices. To be honest, I cant get past the bacon egg and cheese bagel - its that good! They have an extremely endearing habit of serving tiny cup cake brownies with hot drinks. Their hot tea is good enough that my English wife never hesitates to order it. Their coffee is not gourmet standard, but perfectly good everyday Joe. The wait staff are attentive and efficient. This is going to become a regular haunt.
Amazing mocha lattes, excellent customer service, and delicious breakfast!! I recommend this place and will come back if I’m ever in Kenner.
Everything was great, what topped it off was the kindness we ran into while there. A man who was sitting at a table near us had payed for all 3 of the tables that he was near ours included. Im just sad I didnt get a chance to thank him. If you see this. THANK YOU 😊, stay blessed, stay humble and stay kind. We payed it forward through tip.
This Cafe is a perfect gem! As a local I was so surprised that I never thought to stop here. Me and a friend decided to stop here for breakfast before work and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The staff is loving, caring, and completely exceptional! As soon as you walk in you feel at home and staff makes sure to make you feel this way too. Both the server and cook came out to speak to us, seeing that we were new customers and they both greeted us with the warmest welcome. I ordered the croissant with the mini brownie & orange juice. My friend ordered the Belgian waffle with orange juice as well. Everything tasted fresh and the waffle was a decent size. I definitely recommend you to try this place!
Its a great place to unwind, and good food ...love this place ....
Good service and the food was delicious omg I loved the grill chicken Cesar salad 🥗 ✅😌
Very nice cozy place. Love their breakfasts. Good quality products, not instant or frozen fast food. Recommend!
The food was delicious. Even though it is a family cafe, everything runs smoothly and I hardly had any problems with the staff. The menu was average length, which I thought was good for a small cafe. I ordered the banana fritters. They were amazing and I would definitely order them agian.
Cute place, great coffee.
Clean and friendly atmosphere with average breakfast. Omelet was good, mimosa was fabulous. Waffle and French toast was served crispy and charred on one side and bacon was thin. One server was not able to offer coffee refills. Overall, has potential but today was a miss.
Good food, very clean and nice service
Went inside to inquire. Waitress asked if I my husband and I were dining in, we told her yes and we were going to sit outside. She brought us menus, never asked if we wanted anything to drink. Its been 23 minutes and neither of the 3 waitresses inside have come to ask us if were ready. Hubby even went in to check and they said they would be right out. That was 10minutes ago.Menu has very little to offer. And if its anything like their service..Id suggest picking something else.Will.never be back.
Great breakfast. We had pancakes, grits, and the breakfast burrito and everything was yummy. Cute place and great service, too.
The food was fantastic; had the red beans and rice, and a cup of french onion soup. The staff was lovely and very accommodating. Im visiting with a group of friends, and they provided some good tips for NOLA. They definitely gave us a good first impression of the people around here.
The quiet atmosphere was delightful. The Banana Fritters were amazing with a crispy fluffy texture...The staff were inviting and friendly and welcomed us to the area.
Ordered an espresso & cappuccino for drinks. Very good. For food we had 2 breakfast burritos and hash browns. Food took 20 min. Only 1 other lady eating here. Took kinda long but food was fantastic. Would recommend.
Bacon Lovers Stay away!! They serve microwaved bacon!! 🥓 OMG!! 😱What restaurant does that?? This one does. Got back home to New Orleans Sunday morning from Orlando and we wanted breakfast really bad. We stopped here on our way home. The latte’s were really good. But when food arrived it was very obvious the bacon we ordered was made in the microwave. I asked if it’s the way they make it. They said yes. I asked if they could make our bacon in an oven or a skillet. They offered to take the bacon that was already given to us and put them in the oven. That was the last straw. So, if you are a bacon lover as my fiancée and I are, stay away from this place. If you just want a latte or some pastries you’re good.
The two sisters that run this cafe are absolutely adorable, warm, friendly, and abundantly accommodating. I had a cup of broccoli & cheese soup and an egg salad sandwich on a toasted, buttered croissant. The egg salad was delicious and, I was told, prepared to order. The plate special of the day (Friday) was RB&R that came with garlic bread and a side salad. If I had had the kind of grandmother that actually knew how to boil water, I imagine visiting her home kitchen would have felt just like this visit to Le Petit Cafe. They probably would have put more on my plate to fatten [me] up if Id let them. I dont often find myself in Kenner but I would go out of my way to visit again and patronize these lovely ladies!
If you want a tasty home cooked meal then this is your place! We had great service and the lady who served us was the absolute sweetest. Also, the banana fritters were out of this world! 😋
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Cutest little coffee house with the yummiest food. I love their brownies, chocolate cake, croissants, lemon cake, ALL of it. Everything always taste home made and the ladies who work here at the sweetest. Gonna keep coming here for as long as its open.
Went in for some iced coffee before dropping daughter off at airport. Wonderful little gem! The sisters are so warm and friendly. Dont be in a rush when you go--enjoy the oldies music and bring a book. Lovely place to just hang out by yourself or a friend. Going back for the Roast Beef Po Boy next time in NOLA---heard it and the wedding cake is to die for!
Love this place! Been coming here for years. Great atmosphere... Best Cuban sandwich... (I like mine with no bbq sauce)... Sweetest sisters to chat with... Love dining in for lunch, as I always leave more relaxed and less stressed than when I walked in. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch, or coffee and dessert.
My wife and I had coffee and then lunch here and it was fantastic. She had a waffle and I had a Cuban sandwich. They were both amazing. I cant say enough good things about the place. The service was friendly and awesome as well. Will definitely be going back.
I love going to LaPetite. The time is visiting friends every visit. I have been visiting for over 10 years. Love the owners, they treat us like family.
The loveliest little local place Ive been to in a while. Great food, greater atmosphere.
How does this place have good reviews? Waitress didnt know any prices, pancakes were raw in the middle, and she wouldnt show me an itemized receipt. No way my meal was $23 for pancakes, bacon and eggs. Place is a RIP off.
Stopped in on our way home, wanting to try a local spot. Service was poor. Waitress was rude from the get go and struggled to perform her job with only a handful of people in the cafe. Leaving three stars cause we did enjoy the food and coffee.
Amazing breakfast! Love this place! Friendly, family owned cafe. Will def be back
So beautiful place! Friendly ladies, good menu, great taste. Stop by for breakfast, lunch or just hang on a cup of coffee and a fresh baked goods. Just beautiful!
Amazing food and service. The restaurant is also clean and beautiful. Highly recommend for breakfast.
Service was alright but my table ordered salads and we waited over an hour to get OUR SALADS. That’s ridiculously long. The bloody Marie’s were amazing though so they get 2 stars
Found this place on Google and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We waited about 45min for chocolate chip pancakes, French toast and pancakes and grits. French toast didnt taste good at all, it was regular toast bread, not sourdough. My husbands pancakes were edible. Kid ate the pancakes, anytime theres chocolate chips on it, the food gets eaten, so no true indication there - smile. We asked to substitute bacon with eggs/gritsThe first server said it wouldnt be a problem. Then the second server said they werent going to charge is for the substitutions...We will still use Google to find some hidden gems, unfortunately this was not one.
These people must write their own reviews. We ordered two French onion bowls which was just salted water with almost no onions at all, tasteless slickly mass which cannot be called cheese. There were literally no onions at all. I mean come on are onions not readily available????? I firmly believe the French onion soups came out of a can. My wife ordered a Mimosa which was Orange juice. It was replaced with a real Mimosa after my wife told the lady about it. I almost wanted to say something about the soup but didnt since I felt sorry for the old lady who was so nice to us. But once I came up to the register to pay I was told that its $28. I almost swallowed my tongue but still didnt say anything because whatever I would have said next would have been just inappropriate. So I stayed quiet and left vowing to never come back to this place again. $28 for salted water, a Mimosa and a beer. Wow. Take your money somewhere else people. Zero stars. Negative stars if that would be possible.
The only thing coming out of the speakers was Elvis music!!! Loved it! Loved the decor! Staff very friendly, food was good. Its a little expensive, $40 for 2 people with tip, and it took 30 minutes to get our order and we were the only patrons there. Everything is cooked fresh and from scratch at the restaurant, no pre-made food at all. Skip it if youre in a rush. If you have time for a leisurely breakfast youre probably going to love it!
Great place to eat. The food was amazing and the sister’s who own it are very friendly and so kind. Highly recommend checking this place out!
The French toast tastes like Christmas! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is very homey. Would definitely come back!
Welcoming atmosphere like mamas house with home made food. Excellent coffee. Warm welcoming.
Lovely, quaint little place in Kenner. I spotted this place as I was leaving Walmart across the street. Mrs. Judy was so welcoming as I walked in. I ordered an iced coffee and just sat down and enjoyed the setting. I ended up buying one of Mrs. Phyllis prints also! These two ladies brightened my day and I will definitely be stopping by again. Thank you!
Lovely treasure hidden in Kenner. When you walk inside it feels like your in New Orleans. The ladies make you feel at home. You can read a paper, play games, or just hang out with friends. What surprised me was cocktails for breakfast!
Great place to de-stress, and have a wonderful lunch. The three sisters who run the place, are as sweet as ever and a joy to know. The Cuban sandwich is my favorite! If you want a traditional Cuban, ask them to hold the barbeque sauce. They always know its me when I call in to place my order in advance. I love this place! The ambience is perfect to unwind and take a break from a hectic day.
Dont go in a hurry, it is a great atmosphere to sit down read the Gambit, and enjoy the sounds, the scent of coffee in the air and the always friendly service of the staff. I go to pick up their addictive brownies sometimes, and regret not having more time to give in to the flirtatious empty table in the corner. When I do give in and bring the family its easy to forget we are in a little place in Kenner. We just love the place!!!
Breakfast is amazing here! I love the pancakes and my family really enjoys the breakfast sandwiches. They put a ton of love into their food here!
I absolutely loved this place !!! The food was great and well cooked and the place was nice and cozy .. it reminded me of a Victorian style look !!! It’s definitely a must to visit if you’re ever in Kenner, Louisiana 🤗
Were from Texas and so far these were the sweetest women since weve been here! I could tell she was very passionate about making our peppermint pattie coffees :) they were pretty good too, as well as my croissant .
Great food! Great service! Great coffee! I will keep going back!
I enjoyed a great roast beef poboy and the homemade brownie was a nice little unexpected lagniappe. Judy was a very attentive server. I really wish I had discovered them sooner!
I enjoy the food and the people that works there. I got there every day for lunch. I love it there.Thank you

Great service & food
Nice atmosphere, great food, great service!
Ive only been a couple of times, but the food has been great and the service also. Theres a cozy, at home vibe to the place and the food.
I googled cafes near me and came across this place.Food was delicious. I had pecan pancakes, scramble egg and bacon. Mmmmm, the butter on the pancakes was amazing. First time there and it wont be my last.
The food is nice, but the atmosphere created by the owner and customer interactions are priceless, and naturally nawlins.
Tasty food but I think that their prices are too high, especially for a bowl of soup.
Wife ordered a latte. Long wait to order. Food took a while for appearing to be microwaved. Not great. Latte showed up after we ate. Need another waitress.
Quaint little cafe...great food and such a nice staff!
Very quaint place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and good food. Staff are very nice and are always asking how we are doing.
I love this place. I go here very often. Judy is the best!!!
This place has a charam which cannot be surpassed. The food is made fresh to order and is super delish. Dont forget to order coffee. I had 2 cups of cappucino while i was there.
