Great place the selection is huge. I am from Illinois and got a gothic coat for 1/2 price. The ladies were so helpful. Definitely check this place out.

Lots of pirate stuff, steam punk, dresses, coats sashes, some womens shoes, circus costumes monster masks, all kinds of accessories, you name it. They also cater to ballet dance stuff for your kids and probably a whole lot more.. More importantly the customer service was top notch they were very friendly and welcoming the entire time. Good to find a place like this outside of Halloween time

No longer carries bridal or formal wear. While the staff was nice and this shop looked great for what it does carry - costumes, with a wide variety of options - the owners should have made a point by now to remove the giant FORMAL & BRIDAL advertising out front on the store and sign to avoid wasting people’s time that believe they are visiting a bridal store.Revising review after management replied to 4 stars as they promised to update signage to be more accurate.

I am an avid native New Orleans costuming customer. Every time I have called or gone in the staff has exceeded my expectations with great customer service, which is very important when you need specific items or are under a time crunch. Their stock, supplies, costume pieces is outstanding. I have purchased corsets, bloomers and more, including several pairs of shoes for 4 mile parade dancing! All high quality, all beautiful. Im still using all the items after several years. If you need it, go see them!!!! Youll find soooo many fabulous things!!!!

Great customer service every time I shop here. Very knowledgeable staff. They remember my face even when it’s been a year since I was last in there. I have bought dance attire, formal wear, and other random items from here. They gave me their honest opinions too when I was trying on dresses. It wasn’t about selling you the most expensive dress there. They genuinely care.

This place has everything! Enormous selection of costumes for men as well as ladies. Staff was incredibly helpful and prices were reasonable. Lots of handmade, unique and cool pieces. This place is a hidden gem.

I came looking for dance tights as I was told this is the place to get the best! It totally is!!! The clerks were very friendly and accommodating!!! I walked out with what I needed and with selections from their own made tights to Capezio! Highly recommend!

Humbug is my go to place for dance wear for the kiddos, costumes for adults in all sizes, and cool makeup.I went yestersya because kiddos cheer coach has determined that a different color is needed every week. I always walk in and get immediate help. The staff is always knowledgeable about sizing and fit. We guessed youngest kiddos sports bra size perfectly. Oldest kiddo was made really happy by the variety of different styles offered. While she hates this weeks color, she was super happy she got to pick a design top.Upon check out we got a make up demo I guess you can call it. They have some amazing glitter offerings! Im seriously gonna have to go back and get some! It also removes with just a lint roller! How cool!In the end. Im SUPER happy with yesterdays visit. Oldest kiddo is happy in clothes that are her least favorite color because they rocked. Youngest kiddo loved the design of her top. Im a happy camper.

I read reviews about Humbug prior to going there. This place is clean and well lit (unlike some others in the New Orleans area). No dust on costumes here! They have a good selection of clothing/costumes to chose from. The staff is very friendly, helpful (thank you Becca) and really know their stuff when it comes to putting together a costume. I only intended to buy one costume, but ended up buying more than one. I love this place!!!

Second year on a row I found a great Halloween costume at Humbugs. The staff are very helpful and nice. The costumes are a much better quality then the local party stores and are about the same price. Highly recommend this store. Will definitely be going back every year!

There was a bad storm the night before, and the power was out. They let me in, someone followed me with a flashlight to help me see things. I got a quick outfit for Halloween. They were able to make the sale! Very friendly employees. I will be back in the future for all my costume needs!

GREAT customer service! Not only did I get help picking out costume pieces, but some of the makeup was demod, too. The ladies tending the store were a trite tired from the busy season, but we got there at a good time, and they were all incredibly helpful and friendly. We also got a great deal on a corset!
