Food is delicious. The biscuits was extremely good. The service was lacking a bit because the waitress seemed to just wanted to go home.I ordered the breakfast bowl with sunny side eggs. It came with biscuits, 3 sausage patties, hashbrown, 2 eggs, and gravy with sausage in it.Extremely delicious. Portion was great for the price.
This diner is amazing. The food was super delicious and the service was 5 stars. Plenty of space for you to sit down whether you want to eat indoors or outdoors. The staff was very helpful and the coffee was great. Plenty to choose from on the menu whether an adult or child is eating. I love diners. It’s like bringing back the good ol’ days back to life when I go to a legit diner. This diner is legit. The double hamburger deluxe (Double Dot burger) was so good and well cooked. The staff here were very friendly and I enjoyed their laid back personalities. The food took a good twenty minutes to get to my table but i enjoyed all that was on my plate. I’ll come back here next time I’m in New Orleans (Kenner). The cook in the kitchen was originally from Atlanta so we had some cool connections as I’m from Atlanta and I was in town for work.
Food was good, but I can see there struggle with that small grill. Took some time to get the food. And in all fairness the tables were full.
Checked out rankings and settled for this greasy spoon. Looks like a favorite of the locals, even sat in a booth next to a police captain. We ordered pancakes and were not disappointed. These are not puffy and light, but delicious in their own right. The melted butter in a squeeze bottle was a unique addition. Overall an enjoyable experience.
I wanted to like Dots but the eggs were dirty with other food particles mixed in and didnt taste like fresh eggs, the pancakes were doughy and of a rubbery texture, and the hash browns, ordered to be crispy were only half cooked. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and water glasses sat empty during that time. The grilled biscuit was good and one of the waitresses was nice = 2 stars.
Good food and good service. Chicken tenders and fries were excellent. They came with a biscuit that was also pretty darn good. Service was fast and friendly. I wish the staff had been wearing face masks. Otherwise, I do recommend this place.
Had the short stack of pancakes, applewood bacon, and one over easy egg! The servers were quite friendly, the food tasty, and the coffee delightful! I even picked up a Dots Tye-Dye shirt!
Happy accident coming here. Tried two other restaurants and they were both closed so we saw this and told our uber to head there. Definitely don’t recommend to those dieting but everything was delicious! Husband tried the country fried steak with cheese fries and I had the Dotwhich (breakfast biscuit) with biscuits and sausage gravy on the side. We are going to sleep good on the plane today that’s for sure!

The food was very good. The location is easy to get to, decent amount of parking.I got the Big Cheesy with Hash-browns. The Hash-browns we prepared with a perfect amount of crunch. The Big Cheesy had awesome flavor. It was impossible to eat with my hands (cheese was spewing everywhere). But, it went down just as good with a fork and a knife.The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because one of the members of the wait staff wasn’t very friendly, and came across rude.I would definitely recommend this place. if I’m back in town I will keep this on my list of possible places to revisit.
Do not make the mistake I made of thinking this is just waffle house. The food was fantastic (I highly recommend the bananas foster shake) and the atmosphere had me feeling like I was in a movie set in the 50s. The wait staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests with a lot of cross-talk and laughter.

A great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner! The wait staff was outstanding, very friendly, outgoing, and service with an aim to please. We had to wait for a table but it moved fast. We had the All American & Big Dot breakfasts and recommend both to quality, quantity, & great taste. Not showy, not fancy, but good food, at a good price, and a casual dining experience.
We stopped here after driving in from Savannah just looking for something because everyone was hungry. It was so good we came back the next day. My cousin said the catfish was the best hes had in a long time. The food was delicious, especially the biscuits! The service was great and she even directed us to some fun things to do while we are visiting. If Im ever back in New Orleans I will definitely be stopping in again.
Came in because of all the positive reviews....saw our waitress once in over an hour. Took over an hour to get our food with no acknowledgment from the staff. Food was good but service definitely lacking.
The server Jeane( night manager) had a very horrible attitude. We asked numerous times about the vegetable of the day and were not told until the food had arrived at the table. My nephews hamburger was 35% larger than my hamburger steak. The food was Not hot when it was bought to the table. The tables meals totaled over $140.00, the experience and atmosphere at the diner was NOT what we has expected or accustomed to. Jeane also refused to honor a military discount for an active duty military person with a military ID in hand. I would truly appreciate talking to the owner, but I was told that I could not speak to anyone. So I am writing this review and pray it gets someones attention.

This place is right outside the airportso it is handy to get food after a flight.The interior is too small for dining in,but it is great for food to go.They are understaffed so expecta bit of a wait.The quality of the food is good andthe prices are reasonable.

We stopped in here for a quick meal, which was phemoninal! The country fried steak is better than Cracker Barrel! Gloria and Jay were awesome and friendly and went above and beyond! We will be back for breakfast!
My friend and I dined at Dots and the food AND service were FABULOUS. Its a little place that is probably always packed, so there may well be a wait to be seated. But we didnt wait long, maybe 15 minutes. Now, if you like seafood, you MUST try the seafood omelette. It may not sound right to your ears, but it will be right to your mouth! Also, the cheese steak omelette was really good. We also split banana nut pancakes which were delish. I think my friend said her fried pork chop was kinda bland and maybe a tad overcooked, but everything else was up to par! The grits, the biscuit, the hash browns, all delicious. The serving size was great, too. We both ended up taking quite a bit home with us. I can hardly wait to get back to that area so that I can enjoy a seafood omelette all to myself, instead of nibbling of of someone elses! Great job, Dots!

It was very busy with a limited menu but still had very friendly service and hot food.
We tried to come in for breakfast with 7 paying customers. They told us they only had one table to accommodate or split us up. While we were discussing at the doorway the employee said well I need to get you out of the doorway and that was all we needed to make our decision to go somewhere else. You would think that businesses during this time would do anything they could to keep their customers. This establishment wont last long; she was very rude.
Absolutely terrible service on the morning of 8/9/21. The waitress did the bare minimum in just taking our order and dropping the food off at our table(even that seemed like pulling teeth and she had an extremely dry attitude). We didn’t see her from the rest of the time we were there. She didn’t check on the table once or asked if we needed anything…refills, etc. etc. We usually enjoy our breakfasts visits here, but it will be a while before we come back if at all.

My son and I had to catch a flight home. We stopped at Dots heading to the airport. That was some of the best coffee Ive had. Service was amazing and food was awesome. Will definitely be back here.
Absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, and the service is always perfect. This place has a way of making you feel like youve been going there for ages. Very welcoming and cozy. My friends and I always stop here when were in town.
The breakfast is good but they need to get rid of the flies flying around when you are eating...that is not sanitary at all....
One of the best places in the city to get a home cooked meal. Love to go there for breakfast. Unlike so many other restaurants in the Kenner area, the staff is always friendly and eager to serve you with a smile.

Good food, pleasant and timely service. Couldnt ask for a nicer experience. Booths are a little small from old time tables/chairs, but not uncomfortable. If youre ever in town and looking for a good breakfast spot you wont go wrong here.

Food was basic diner food, but their Crawfish Julie sauce alone really made it worth the fourth star! The waitress was super sweet and incredibly attentive. We were there just before the dinner rush. The diner is open 24hrs a day and there are other locations through the Greater New Orleans area. I would recommend you make a stop while youre in town. Whether youre recooperating from a night on Bourbon Street or youre looking for a good old fashioned counter meal, this is the spot to check out.

If you ever need a real good home cooked meal go to dots all of them serve different items the one on Williams is not the one I usually go to I usually go to the one on Jefferson highway in River ridge and it is excellent service and very friendly people at both locations

I was so hungry when I woke up and didnt feel like cooking breakfast so I talked my bf into going to Dots we eat there often but normally go to the one in River Ridge but since I was starving we decided to try the one in Kenner that was a mistake we arrived approximately 9:15 they were busy but not crazy busy we only had to wait a couple minutes to be seated our waitress was friendly so I thought we were off to a good start we ordered our food and coffee and o.j. with meal I also ordered a banana foster french toast to go which was to be put in after the meal we were getting antsy food never takes this long it was about 9:50 when I finally got my waitress attention and asked what was taking so long she said let me check even the other waitress was telling kitchen that we have been waiting along time our waitress then came to inform us we had 2 sandwiches and something ahead of us well they had a blonde behind the counter making remarks of cant we see how busy they were Im sry when a table arrives after us and gets served before us I have a problem with that and no we did not order some extravagant breakfast I had biscuits and gravy and grits he ordered big dot a basic easy breakfast well anyway our waitress brings our to go order first I was so hungry I had to steal a couple bites of that then a couple min later our breakfast was served it looked delicious and everything would have been perfect I would have forgiven the length of time it took except the food was cold well everything was except my biscuits and gravy they were not hot but they were not cold either once the waitress dropped off food we did not see her if she would have checked on us she might have been able to fix situation my bf ate what he could because he was hungry I ate my biscuits and gravy eggs and grits I put on side to take home because come on grits need to be hot we asked for real butter instead of the liquid fake butter that was brought to the table the real butter did not melt in my grits or his pancakes confirming it was not hot but anyway we were done and I was not happy oh did I mention when I was finished and the waitress finally noticed us again asked how we were doing I explained everything plus let her know she never did bring the o.j. her attitude was basically Im sry oh well.... so thats cool went up to pay asked to see check the waitress did not even bother removing the o.j. off check so I basically told cashier I was not happy explained everything and felt I should not be charged full price she called manager I think(which was the same blonde making comments earlier) I explained my self again and told her I should not be charged full price for cold food that was not eaten and told her about the o.j. She was pretty much rude and said well I saw them box the banana foster and it was hot I informed her I would rather my breakfast be hot then my to go order then she said I can take the o.j. off the check needless to say next time I want Dots I will be headed back to River Ridge even though the Kenner one is in my neighborhood
This place is a one-of-a-kind place the food is typical diner food but the people still have the charm and culture of New Orleans,fantastic. The service was quick it was like stepping back in time. By typical diner food I dont mean greasy or bad it was very good food!
