They do NOT know how to cook burgers. They come well done and thats just how it is apparently. I asked them to remake them and cook the meat less and they did remake them only for them to come out the exact same. When i told the lady that, she said “they’re not the same, they’re cooked different” but im the one eatting one and can tell with certainty the second was just as well done and gross as the first. Will NOT be going back and i recommend no one does. Horrible food and service.
One of my absolutely favorite places to go eat.. its definitely a experience.. the customer service is above and beyond... the owner is a amazing man with great energy and just adds more to the experience.. the atmosphere and freshness and quality of the food is amazing just delicious...... thank you for that .. dont forget to try the hotsauce.. I did go on a friday.... recommend it... .. the Brazilian soda and fried yuca are amazing as well....
We enjoyed a delicious vegetarian platter. I ordered a side of yucca and my husband had a side of plantains. The yucca was cooked perfectly, crisp outside and tender moist inside. The plantains were crisp on the outside with a slight sweetness. The highlight was the veggie patty which was crispy, and savory. We are glad we stopped and we only regret not getting the flan, but we were too full. The service was also outstanding.
Great place to go try some new things or renew old memories! Thank yall!
I am Brazilian and I live an pensacola florida passed buy new orleans I stop buy for some brazilian grocery and I order 1 coxinha 1 risole and 1 bolinho de mandiocaOhhh god is not good is horrible the taste like the oil the the fried is 200 years oldBut I buy cookies chocolate etc the price is expensive bit this okBut the fried food NO WAY
I cant find anything bad about this place at all. Top notch service and food. What a treat!
Great place and atmosphere, friendly owner and staff, good meals. Will definitely return.
As a Brazilian, it can be hard to find a place that scratches that itch. This gets that spot and more. They have a solid menu with a variety of Brazilian foods and feijoada that reminds me of time back home. Also, the best lunch deal in town. Under ten and youll be using a dump truck to take the leftovers home.
Great place, fresh made to order food, very reasonable prices and helpful stuff.
The Saturday special was incredible!
Very good place to eat. They speak English, fala português, y espanhol tambien
Great food.. excellent customer service. Outstanding ambience
Food was good but OMG it was way overpriced. Wont be back!
Great food and excellent customer service. I definitely have plans to return. One of my new favorite restaurants.
Great place, friendly owners, good food🙂🙂🙂🙂
Lots of potential here unfortunately they are suffering because of this pandemic as well. In the back there is a kitchen that can make you anything you desire a Brazilian friend brought me there specifically for cheese bread but they were not able to make it for us. I definitely will be back
Good food, great service.
The Owner, Son and entire staff are such a blessing to us customers for their service and Authentic Brazilian Cuisine which is never off, EXCELLENT ALWAYS.
Excellent service and food. Portions are great; enough to turn into 2 meals. Highly recommend!
Great Experience! Tasted their food at a Latino Festival last year and decided to try lunch at their cafe today. The cashier helped us out by explaining the foods to us and we chose a selection of things to try. The young man waited on us and explained the seasonings and condiments on the table and checked on us multiple times during our lunch. The food was delicious, the service was great, and we will be back SOON.
Great food and even better service. The loaded burger is probably one of the best burgers I have ever had
A friend and I had to go pick something up in Kenner he forgot. So we thought it would be cool to find an interesting, affordable spot. This place was just that and I loved it! Its unique to anything Ive had. Its affordable, friendly and also has a Brazilian grocery section.
Had a meal with my wife who is Brazilian and she said the food is truly Brazilian. She was also pleased to find grocery items on the shelf. I bought 2.pounds of Brazilian sausage. It was a treat.
The food is great and fresh. I tried the Grilled Steak and was delicious. The meal is huge and so the dessert (the best pudim ever).
The people are very friendly and helpful. The prices are very good, and everything was truly amazing! The food is authentic Brazilian food.
Excellent place to eat! They have options for meat eaters and vegans. Great customer service and quality of the food.
I loved the people at Brazilian Market & Cafe.Everybody is nice and always smiling. I have a special place in my heart for Isa!The food is delicious, everything is really good!!!
Coxinha very yummy yummy. Delicious!
I absolutely LOVE the coxinhas! I have been to Brazil twice and the food here is extremely authentic and an incredible price! Owner told me they use NO MSG and actually bring in ingredients from Brazil. My wife and I go there about once a week. Absolutely love it. Great balanced meals that make you feel good!!This is also one of our Saints, Mark Ingram, spots to eat! Hes friends with the owner and actually visited Brazil with him! If this place can satisfy Marks hunger, you know it satisfied mine! We actually have ran into him a few months ago...It was great to see that truly everyone loves this food!!We had dinner again last night and the owner shared with us that he will be starting to make smoked meat....I cannot wait to try this because he also said is food is preservative free so itll taste like real meat...Not like chicken nuggets hahaGreat food....I love this local spot.
Very original and tasty Brazilian food. Fair price!Recommend the homemade red hot sauce ...
Nice under the radar place and great food!
Delicious food, great prices!
Delicious authentic food great personal service and attention.
Delicious foods!
Extremely nice staff and authentic food! Definitely recommend.
Dont overlook this place. High quality food, generous portions for a low price.
Was here on mardi GrAs just to check it out and a lot of the stuff in the shelves were Expired.. Picanha tasted like it was “reheated” or sitting in the frezer for months... just didn’t taste fresh.🤢 Deixou muito a desejar... Pastel and Coxinha was AMAZING and authentic though! Service was good and cute decorations
Awesome food! sandwich and feijoada are really good. Very affordable.
So disappointed. I wish I could give zero. I am not from LA and being Brazilian I was so excited to find this market close to my hotel once I am here on business. So, I had this idea to present my co workers at Valero with pão de queijo and show a bit of my culture. When I asked the girl how many she had it and to wrap all of them, her answer with an angry face was: - You should call me ahead if you planned to buy all of them. It will take me 30 minutes to make another batch... WOW WOW, I completely understand she did not want to run out of it - actually I don’t lol, but complaining to a customer and make faces because she had a great sale at 7 am goes against any business who wants to make money... now, people wonder the reason small markets like that close in a short period of time and are not successful and they blame they did not have any support! Well, its simple, is because they don’t understand how important is to treat good a customer! She was mad because she made a good sale!!! Please, Explain this to me! Well... I am not from here... but would never comeback again when I am in town. Also, not planning to tell my peers where I got the breads from. Sadly. Staff is not friendly as other reviews stated. Really sad.
Delicious
Great little place for unique Brazillian food. I have been to Fogo de Chao and TX de Brazil but this is different. More authentic. Chef Greyze and staff are very attentive, cheerful, and nice! Pastel de queijo e presunto is an empanada appetizer stuffed with ham and mozzarella. So good! The loaded Brazillian burger is unique and GREAT! Homeade patty with fried egg, hot dog sausage, house cured bacon, and comes dressed with lettuce, tomato, english pea, corn, and potato sticks! You can also get a steak sandwich or chicken this way as well. The lunch specials are fabulous also! Next I gotta try the breakfast!
Wonderful good and service! Alwayd a treat.
Awesome food and nice little market with a little bit of everything...
Good, solid and authentic Brazilian cuisine. The beef just doesnt taste the same as the quality you can get in Brazil, but if my wife and I are craving rice, beans, yuca, and picanha, and dont want to pay fogo de chao prices, this is a no brainer.
Gyro heaven
Always great service .attentive staff and the food is great .
Worse Food & Service Ive ever been too, I ordered a Coxina and it looked like it was sitting there for 2 days already I asked if she cooked it today she said yes, took a bite of a hard Coxina, it was all dried up no taste I told her its really bad! she still charged me and even asked if I wanted something else I said no way she had the biggest attutuide ! worse food of my life do not come here !
Delicious food, friendly people, reasonably priced. Great option if youre in Kenner or going to the airport.
My first time trying it! It was pretty good!!! Excellent customer service!!
Very authentic Brazilian food with a great owner/ chef he loves his food and his customers
Good place to shop or grab a good lunch.
Terrible. The Coxinha was said to have been made in the morning but tasted like it was sitting there overnight. Did not want to make pao de queijo because of lack of customers.
Cute Brazilian store with all the fare a homesick Brazilian could want. They have Guaraná, paçoca, and much more.
Great food. Cant go wrong
Great staff and good, authentic food!
I am a musician who frequently travels overseas and among the things i miss the most when on the road are the flavors, colors and smells of the food of my country. And cannot express my surprise and happiness when found out that five minutes (at the most) from Louis Armstrong International Airport there lies one of Nolas (the charming nickname the locals have for New Orleans) best secrets: the Brazilian Market & Cafe. It is amazing. Really amazing: everything I grew up tasting and enjoying is right there, and served in a friendly, cozy, home-like atmosphere: feijoada, costelinha, mandioca frita, peixe frito, among other traditional dishes of Brazilian cuisine are brought to you in plentiful platters -- and (which for a musician is heaven) for a value that you will not believe. I confess that there is no other place I want to be. And i highly recommend -- whether you are a musician or the seasoned world traveler. Go there and see for yourself! You will not regret.
This is like a staple for us at the shop when we need a break from tuning the cars on a Saturday. If you are in the Kenner area on a Saturday and you are hungry this is the place to go.Ask for Greyze and tell him to get you a award winning Feijhoada plate. You will not be dissapointed. It feels like your mouth just traveled to Sao Paolo.I was talking to my brother the other day about the Saturday special and he confirmed it, his travels to several cities in Brazil and comparing the Fejihoada plate to that of Brazilian Market and he believes that the overall taste is by far superior to that of the native Brazil. Go out there and check them out!
Besides natural wonders, Brazil is famous for its culinary tradition -- and now the sojourner or the transient or the local can experience that tradition in the Paris of the South (New Orleans), and all that only five minutes from Louis Armstrong International Airport: the Brazilian Market and Cafe has been promoting and fostering that tradition for a decade and has become a fixture of New Orleans culinary scene, gathering accolades and recognition as one of the best ethnic restaurants of the Big Easy. From simple pastries like the coxinha and empadas to staples of Brazilian food such as Feijoada, Picanha na chapa (cullote stake), Vaca atolada (ribs and casava) and a plethora of other tasty surprises that will make a visit to the Brazilian Market and Cafe a feast for those who like to experience the flavors and textures of Brazilian traditional cooking. In short: whether you are Brazilian or not, when in New Orleans, take a few minutes to go to Kenner and taste for yourself one of the best corners of the Big Easy.
Good home made Brazilian food.
Grilled chicken, beans and rice, plantains (bananes) are excellent. My new go-to spot when Im back home.
