I live down the street from here and after 6 months of always driving by, my family and I decided to try it out and my God the Cubanos are amazing. They have the right amount of mustard (not a mustard fan) and it was toasted to perfection! The pickles mixed in perfectly with the ham and mustard. Definitely coming back!
To be fair, the staff was very friendly, however, I did not have a good experience there. I ordered a hot beef sandwich for lunch with hot peppers. My sandwich was ice cold. Clearly frozen. And had no peppers, but did have cheese, which I cannot have. I gave the benefit of the doubt and removed the cheese and microwaved it, but even then, the meat was tough and inedible. I threw the whole thing away. All that for $6.99. The people were really nice, and maybe I just went on a bad day, but it was a bad experience, and I won’t be going back.
This had been one of my favorite places in the Allendale area for years. They are locally owned by Ann and Tom Morelli, who are the nicest people. The food is outstanding, particularly the fresh, homemade egg salad and pizzas! You will always be welcomed with a friendly hello and great conversations with the staff and owners. They make you feel at home.
I live in the area and this place is very convenient. Theyve got fresh hot and cold deli sandwiches, fresh produce, brewskis, and much more here. They get in fresh bread from Cardinalis Bakery every morning too.
We’ve been supporting Southport Pantry for years. Used to come here with change and buy candy bars and all the goodies.
