101 has the best craft beer selection in NEO hands down. It is also nice to wander on over to the bar side where you can buy a pint of potential beer youre looking at over on the bottled side. It has that nice college small town vibe. The locals .are great conversationalists.

Lots of good stuff here. I just wish the beers were organized by brewery, or style, or something. Prices are pretty good. Largest selection in the area for sure. Good stuff from Maine, Epic, Avery, etc.

A lovely bar and store, and a college-town necessity. Its a great place to snag a six pack of micro-brewed goodness or a bottle of wine, and should you choose to take a seat inside, you cannot beat the ever-changing tap selection, unparalleled whiskey selection, and food truck collaborations.Occasionally the staff can be a bit inconsistent--it really comes with the territory in a college town, especially one whose population changes drastically--but the more aged staff are pretty friendly and knowledgeable.Definitely a great place to visit for a cold one.

Comfortable patio with string lights and above heaters. Draft menu changes all the time, really living up to their name not only in their store selection but also their beer menu. Vibrant and colorful store full of beer charisma and flavors!

101 Bottles has a great selection of beer, kegs, wine, sake, and some seasonal specialty liquor thats great for gifts. You can special order specific kegs, or make requests for certain beers youd like to buy and they are accommodating. You can bring your own food and enjoy the tap room with indoor and outdoor seating and sip some beer, wine, or bourbon. They also have special events with food trucks as the guest stars. Wheelchair accessible and on site parking this gem is conveniently located in kent a block from downtown and on the edge of campus.

Hungry for money so much theyre willing to lose customers! Spent $50 total on a bottle of mead, a flight and a decent tip. Yet after I open my bottle outside just to smell it between my friends and I. They take my bottle from me and yell me I have to pay an opening fee before I can have my bottle back!

They always have a good mix of beers on draft. We come here and get a flight to split to sample different beers. They have a great selection of local and sometimes not so local craft beers on their menu. Also, they make some really good mix drinks. In addition, they have a ton of beer to choose from in their retail section. Stop on by bottles and give it a shot! You wont be disappointed+

I entered the store simply to buy non alcoholic beverages for myself and some beer for my girlfriend. Rather than being given an easy alcohol purchasing experience, I was met with sheer incompetence from the cashier. Not only was he incapable of reading my military ID, which clearly displays my date of birth, he made up some non-sensical thing about how my military ID cannot be used as a form of ID. Federal law states otherwise and when I called to question the imbecile about this dispute, he made an excuse saying that his decision not to sell to me was a store policy discrepancy.

Love this place and their incredible selection of craft beers, ciders, wine, etc. The staff are always so friendly and helpful and you can also order all types of kegs and beers from them that are unavailable in the stores

I think this is my favorite bar that Ive ever been to.Friendly, helpful, unpretentious staff. The best tap list in town. A fantastic retail selection. Good specials. Great cocktails, (if Cayties working ask her to make you a Popskull). Doggo friendly patio seating. All in a more relaxed than actual downtown environment.

I call this joint Bottles 101 because it is an education in beer. Plus they have some great selections on draft to try.

Since reopening in May, 101 bottles has put the safety of their staff and customers first by wearing masks and being on top of cleaning between tables, menus, etc. after each guest uses something. they went above and beyond with their portable plexiglass dividers between bar seats so customers can still enjoy a drink at the bar and socialize with the person next to them, while still feeling comfortable once they take their mask off! Their customers have been awesome about wearing a mask until seated because 101 attracts such a great group of people. Thank you 101 bottles!

Ive been coming here for about 4 years now. Even since I moved further away from Kent I still tend to come here for an occasional drink or to buy my beer. Their selection is always up to date with the best seasonal, local, and popular beers. The atmosphere is cool too. Great specials and they allow you to bring your own food and just hang out. Definitely a place Ill be sure to always try to return to when Im in the area

This is a Kent staple. The selection of alcohol is incredible, and its not just beer. You can buy individual drinks, make a 6-pack, or just grab a drink at their bar. There are certain drinks that were only able to find here, like Japanese imports, or banana bread beer.The atmosphere is very Kent, which is to say very hip and just so cool.

I love this place. The beer selection is good, and its a nice place to have a few pints. Its nice being able to ask about beer from the knowledgeable folks working there. You know they love beer. Hooray beer!

Always clean, they obviously take a lot of pride in ensuring the places looks the part. The bourbon selection is great and they have terrific cocktails at the bar. Definitely our go-to for a night out or for all of our beer needs!

I go here somewhat frequently to check out their craft beer selection. They always have a delicious draft selection that rotates pretty frequently. Their retail selection is pretty impressive for both beer and wine. The most important thing is that the staff there is super friendly and knows their products. I love this place.

This is one of a few bottle shops near Akron/Cleveland/Kent I frequent. It is the top bottle shop in that area. Prices tend to be $1-$2 more per bottle on anything more rare, similar to Lizardville, but their rare inventory does warrant those prices in many instances. I love their relationship with Wolfs Ridge in Columbus. You can always count of them to have a ton of their beer. Largest craft beer selection in the area which is extremely well curated. They also have wine and many beers on tap with frequent takeovers by popular breweries. I dont know them personally, but they are friendly and informative every time Im there. Hopefully they are around for a long time.

I have been going here for many years now and the place has only improved with age. They have a great selection, the bar is nice and not normally overly loud (except for during events, which is to be expected), and the staff is very knowledgeable about beer. Even though many of the big box stores are now stocking craft beer, they still do not get some of the rarities that 101 has in stock. I would recommend to anyone that has not been here to check this place out.

Bottles is awesome. If youre looking for a beer, they got it. What I love Bottles for is the bar and their patio seating. Its a great spot to enjoy some drinks with friends.

Best place to buy beer. Top 5 places in the area to HAVE a beer. They have events often! Visiting brewers that give free glasses! Brunches that I can never drink at because I ALWAYS have to work later! Friendly and well informed staff!

Now first off let me start by saying this place is the absolute best when it comes to craft beer. bar none I go there quite often, being from Newton Falls I will drive that distance for a good/excellent craft beer. I have started my own reviews on the beers and when I get them from there Ill give them many props and shout outs. If at any time I cant find something, 9 times out of 10 if they can get it in they will let me know, that is if they can get it from there distributor. If I had to give this place a rating it would be a 20/10, there always busy for the most part and there prices arent to bad. Now this is just based on my experience with there craft beer nothing else. Great job guys, keep it up.

Staff is knowledgeable as well as extremely friendly. If one has a question about a beer they will give you their honest opinion and if that doesnt suit you they will give you a little sample of the beer. Great place to build your palate and see which beers you might enjoy.

The selection has always been good. I think the place is outstanding since they added the bar. When something new is on draft they almost always have it for sale in the store. This is a great way to try before you buy.

Only bought beer here but not a bad place.Edit: ill give it a 5 instead of four. Could be bigger for a large pack of friends but it is still fine. Got some shots here and a soda. Pleasant vibe and nobody will bother you friendly staff and bartender. Plenty of food places to eat around it also like luccis pizza and penn station. Those are feet away but within the mile is plenty of more food.

An amazing place that has a selection of alcohol that is local and from parts of the world.They are always changing what is on tap so you get something new every few weeks it seems like. The staff have always been courteous and relaxed, serving guests and making sure the table has been cleaned off especially when its a busy night with a popular food truck outside.On another note, there is no food here, but you are certainly welcomed to bring in food from other places and dine in with a drink in hand from the bar.It is dangerously close to Luccis, Penn Station, Chipotle, etc - so it is VERY easy to find food with your drink if you dont like the food truck they have situated outside during any of their events.All in all, one of my favorite places in Kent and I keep going back - please do keep up the great work and customer service.

For the past five years, whenever I travel to Kent from Cleveland, I make a mandatory stop at this establishment. They always have sours on tap, which is rare in Cleveland, and some hard to find ales. Great selection of bottled beers and wine. You can bring food from elsewhere and eat it there.

One of the best places in the area to go buy wine and beer. Not very many other places in town are this friendly with this large of a selection of beer and wine. Nice bar too if you want to stay and have a drink.

It has the best collection of craft beers to pick up to take home, but if youre ever looking to kill an hour or two they also rotate the best of those craft beers out on tap. Great craft beer selection if you like ipas. The pilsner I had was good as well. No food served, but your welcome to get a pizza next door and bring it in.
