Downgrade from 4 stars to 1 because, after 3 services with them, I cannot recommend them to anyone. They are unprofessional, arrogant, and quite frankly, out for your money. I paid for a tint service online and was told I’d only have to pay taxes when I went in. My husband dropped off his car for the tint service that I paid for and upon checkout, they charged him another $150! My husband paid it, thinking I must not have paid for everything but when he got home and we compared receipts, he was charged the whole service. Foss acknowledged their error but said they couldn’t offer a refund online and to come in person. Went in person and they said we should see it reversed on our account. Didn’t happen so went back a week later and they said they’d have a manager call us. This was at the start of May - currently September and no word.

Had my windows tinted on the new car and I am very pleased! They did an amazing job and it didnt take more than 2 hrs. Thanks to Ian who was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions! Definitely coming back again. Thanks guys!

Please do not go here for car alarms STAY FAR AWAY!!! They wired my alarm through the ignition back in May and Ive been without a car since. $300 alarm has costed me $2000 in just trying to figure out what they did to my car and Ive yet to get it running again. Theyre excuse was I dont know who installed it. Wow really! No type of manager or supervisor has gotten back to me. I guess thats how they do things here. What a professional business. Please save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere I wish I had.

Made a call. Guy on phone went on tangent talking about my phone instead of my stereo or elaborating how they connect. Id give negative stars if I could. Guy was disrespectful and copping an attitude. Utterly Useless.

Made an appointment to have my windows tinted. Called the day before and was told to come drop off my vehicle. I got to the shop to find it was closed and the angry person above the shop yelling that theyre closed and I didnt call. Well, I talked to someone. I had plans to do a full audio system for my vehicle but now I will take my business elsewhere.I didnt call on Sunday, I called on Monday. As a matter of fact, I called using the link sent to me via the text message that is sent confirming/reminding of an upcoming appointment. You would think that if there is some kind of a central dispatch location then they would either know where the appointment is made or ask that info.Like I said, I will never spend a dime with Foss Audio. I have discouraged my friends and coworkers from shopping there as well. The response from the owner is telling enough about how bad the customer service is. To just blame the customer for calling the wrong business makes about as much sense as the jerk yelling like a lunatic that I didnt call them before I showed up.

I came to have my speakers checked in my elantra. They were making weird noises. Tyler told me he would check it out after cartoys told me it would be over $1000 to put in new speakers. Tyler looked at it for 15 minutes and told me i had a bad ground that was causing feedback. Fixed it free of charge!!! I love these gentleman!!! So nice and actually care about helping and finding the problem, not just charging as much as possible. Highly recommend!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE From Victor and Nick in Tukwila as well as the entire Kent division.Made an appointment on a Saturday for warranty work. Came back 2hrs later and the vehicle hadnt moved. When I came inside and and asked what the Eff I was accused of swearing at the counter rep and they refused to complete the warranty work and extra work I was will to pay for.WHAT A JOKE.

I don’t under stand how hard it is to stay open the hours you the business posted. I got off and RUSHED here because they close so early at 7. Got here at 6:35 just to watch them all leave and pay NO mind to the customer in their tiny lot that could not be trying to go to any other business. I came ready to spend a good $600 on my stereo system and booking an appointment for install and window tint. They don’t want my money clearly. Why not post that you close at 6:30 if your employees can’t be bothered to stay until the posted close time of 7. Hate that I wasted my time driving here. Not a good business model.

Went in a week ago to get my windows tinted on my new F150. I planned on only doing the front two, but Cavan was very professional and helpful and set me up with a 12% tint and visor strip which is PERFECT! So happy with the flawless results, highly recommend going in to see all these guys for any window, or audio work.

I had a appointment at 2PM drop off for alarm, tint and installing a indash on my Tahoe and the guy at the front said he was from the tukwila location . He told me it might take until 8pm to finish everything, okay that’s fine so I go today to do the drop off and he starts arguing with me that it was a 10am drop off and they could no longer any ANY of the work. For one I only received texts saying 2pm and second I already had appointments at 11 and 12 so I know that a “10am” drop off like he was telling me was incorrect . Couldn’t do the tint, couldn’t do the alarm, and couldn’t do the indash . I received 4 text messages that confirm and remind me of my 2pm drop off . I was going to spend 1,500 to do everything but I’ll just take my money somewhere else . I don’t remember his name but he is very unprofessional and rude.

To start off my original appointment was not honored. It was pushed back two weeks and i was told it would no longer be a 1 day job but would be 3-4days. Once it was time for my rescheduled appointment and the appointment was “complete” . Only 2 of the speaker were changed, the Amplifier that was put in had an extremely loud buzzing sound, my window was not tinted and i was left with a 1400 bill. I was told there was nothing that could be done because the guy that did my install was gone for the day. Also i needed to leave my car there because they weren’t going to resolve the issue until my instal guy game in the next morning.

They do bad business they have my car for 2 hours for a fog light install Made an appointment made me put $20 down to keep my appointment, when I was there there were no cars in the install Bay I was 1st in line they waited 2 hours, to tell me that I didnt have a clip, Then after they lied to me they were laughing and smirking in my face They told me after 2 hours they just pull my car in, and realised they didnt have the clip There were clips in the Box I dont know if they threw them away to make more money on stereo instals ppls time is money and they dont care about your time,and they dont care about you

I can only speak on their headlight installs. Went to get aftermarket headlights wired for my FRS. The headlights are wired and work as intended, but there was a complete disregard for quality control. The bumper was installed incorrectly and there was a noticeable gash in the paint from when I assume they took it off. Clips were missing for my side markers which I confronted them about before leaving - they couldn’t find them. The bumper sagged on one side and I was told that’s because aftermarket doesn’t sit flush. Took the bumper off at home to find everything over-torqued with 4 bolts missing and one cross-threaded; some bolts were also put in the wrong spots. The headlight brackets were installed incorrectly which is why the bumper didn’t sit flush. They also mounted one of the HID ballasts to the frame of the car - drilling into the metal instead of a plastic component or securing with an adhesive/ziptie. If I spent the same amount at a different shop I would expect they know my car before taking it apart.

Poor quality check of work, poor attention to detail and lack of measures taken to protect my interior of my car. After getting my tint installed, arrived at home and found one of the windows had a cut in the tint. Had to take car back to get fixed same day. Also had the interior of my car detailed from dealership prior to get my tint installed. After tint was installed they did not clean up the interior (dash and doors) from the run off of liquid used. Upon taking my vehicle back for the tint repair, I was advised the liquid that is used strips the Armor All off and they do not clean it up. We were advised we would need to clean and re-apply protectant ourselves. I do not plan on referring anyone due to poor customer service and now having to get my interior detailed again. I gave three stars only because they fixed the tint.

Go to cartoys. they charged me $200 bucks for a HID kit. big guy who installed pretended hell take him an hour to install a plug in knock off aftermarket kit. he left one of the ballast just sitting on top of window washer container unsecured, the ballast stopped working after a few days. i reached out and ask if he could help me out with issue i was having, he told me call the manufacturer for replacement. very irresponsible, DONT GO THERE.

Customer service was bad. Employee wasnt very friendly. Seemed like he didnt really wanna be there. And he way over charged me for the kit to hook up my subs

Ive been in here more than once and each time Ive had Tyler install, repair or fix something in my vehicle, it has always come out beautifully and working prefect.I have never been sold something I didnt need. Ive been told that Id be wasting my money etc each time I try and do something stupid. It goes to show the honesty of this place as they could easily just take me for my money.If youre looking for a place thats honest, an installer that does it right and a place you can feel confident in leaving your vehicle, you have found it.

Outstanding service! I bought a used p/u that had a aftermarket stereo and heater controls. The units weren’t installed correctly so the heater control quit working and the stereo wasn’t working well some functions weren’t working. They pulled all the spaghetti out and installed a new unit with a rear camera.! Thanks for the great service 🤗. Fixed the heater controls without having to buy a new one!

I bought an older Cadillac that didn’t have all the latest in streaming audio and hands free calling that I’m used to. Tyler knew exactly how to set it up in order to accomplish what I needed. I wanted to keep everything looking factory (I’m weird like that) but still have the push button Bluetooth and steaming audio from my phone. Very happy happy with how it all came out. Odd request, the jokers over at car toys couldn’t handle, they wanted to stick a whole new deck in there and have me paying a bunch of dough for some stuff I don’t even care about. Jr. was great. Ive never had to get a stereo repaired or replaced, until today. I arrived about an hour before closing and he took care of me right away and was done within 30 minutes. I wasnt very impressed. Sadly. Foss comes recommended and has great reviews. However, they fell short of what I assumed they would be. I was quoted an 1.5hr install. I live out of town and didnt have another vehicle. So I waited... and waited. It ended up taking a little over 3 hours with no check-in or apologies from the staff. I sincerely understand some things are out of their control. But there was a lack of understanding and communication on their part. Once the speakers were installed, they sounded great. Then once it got dark I found a dash light out that was not out before. Its tough to assume its their fault, but after my experience, I wouldnt think of asking them to take a look.

Foss audio gave me as good of an experience as i could get. I was helped right as I walked in the door by a guy ( wish I had gotten his name) and they started working on my tint right away. Honestly one of the worst experiences buying from people anywhere. Went there to get a stereo installed in my car and not only did the overcharge me, install incorrect parts, damage parts, and being the most unhelpful, unresponsive team ever, but they are also the most time consuming and slowest place out there. Took them over a week from the time I paid until the time they messed up the first time. Overall took them 3 times of screwups before they finally got it right, and even then the people who installed it correctly was the Tukwila location. One of the worst customer service experiences in my life.

Given the specific requirements of my build, I was forced to supply my own subwoofer, so I cant comment on the equipment they carry. But from what I could tell from browsing around they have a good selection for most needs.With that said, the service here is fantastic. It took a little while to get going because of the Saturday rush, but once I got some help things went as smoothly as you could ask for. Junior took the time to discuss possible installation options for my car and after some discussion I decided to leave it up to the discretion of Tyler, who performed the installation.The quality of the installation and service (including follow up support) have been better than most people could ask for. I wont hesitate to recommend the team here to any of my friends.

Had a great experience. Took my 2016 mustang here because I have family who got their tint done here and it looked great. Junior took car of me and they had it done half an hour before it was origanlly quoted. Tint looks amazing, very high quality look. Came in on my lunch break looking for a new stereo for my car. Junior listened to what I needed, went to the back and thirty seconds later had the head unit Id been looking at online. Cost was lower than car toys, best buy, etc. Install was pricier than I thought, but it was due to parts required for my car that I was not anticipating. Junior was upfront with the cost breakdown, and was able to install it the next day. Very satisfied with my experience.

I came into Foss Audio and Tint to get my Volvo tinted and Nikki helped me pick out film and got me a great deal. The job was done on time and looks awesome...I am very happy with the service and definitely recommend them if you want your vehicle tinted.

I went in to Foss Audio in Kent hesitant to purchase a stereo for my truck but after speaking with Junior I soon felt at ease and was very impressed with his knowledge of stereo equipment. The pricing was very competitive and easy to schedule, I also had my windows tinted and they got that done at the same time as my stereo. I would recommend Foss Audio to anyone. (Now my wife, daughter and brother are as happy as I am) lol

I do not often write reviews, and looking on google, I see there are a few negative reviews; but my experience was excellent!To begin with, the sales rep. (Tyler, I think) helped me find the perfect fit for my vehicle and needs. As I was not familiar with all the bells & whistles in todays car audio, I was pleased that I was not pushed into buying the top-of-the-line models, with features I would never use. Plus the price was right in the sweet spot for what I was expecting to spend.On the day of install Tyler(?) and Junior were ready on time, and with a bit of negotiating, on my part, I asked and decided to upgrade to an HD radio, as the price was still right. Only 90 minutes later and Junior was ready to introduce me to my new audio system. He was very knowledgeable and easily guided me all the basic features and some of the advanced ones I was sure to use.A couple of days later I had an issue with the system, and the guys were prompt and friendly about resolving it.

A few years ago, I purchased an alarm system from Foss Audio in Kent and had them install it in my 1st Mazda Miata. At the time, I thought the technician did a decent job, though after they hid the alarm unit behind the plastic underneath the steering column, I noticed it left a bulge in the cover which he claimed he couldnt prevent. The led light was installed a bit off centered and the alarms antenna was left dangling loosely near the alarm unit, which I felt both were done quite sloppily and lazily of Tyler. It was a bit of an eyesore to see the installion defects every time I got into my car.Fast forward 5 years later, I purchased a 2nd Miata (same generation) because my 1st Miata mentioned above had gotten totaled. I thought I would Foss another chance so I called them to get a quote to reinstall the alarm I had pulled from my 1st Miata after it was totaled. Tyler quoted me $150, so I made an appointment to have the reinstall done the following week. When I show up for my appointment, he told me they couldn’t install a used alarm system. Then quoted me $500 for an install of a brand new identical unit if I brought one in (BATE AND SWITCH!). On top of that, after the Tyler disappears for about 5 minutes in the back room, he returns to tells me I will also need to purchase a $100 chip for my alarm because my 2nd miata is a slightly newer model (but same generation). I believed him. So to save a few bucks, I went online and purchased the exact same chip he said I needed for half the price.I few weeks later, now having trust issues with Foss, I decided to take my Miata to Stereo Centro in Renton (btw, a great audio shop). The owner tells me the chip isnt necessary because I dont have auto start. So it turns out I wasted $50. Stereo Centro only charged me $150 for the total install and he did an awesome job installing the alarms main unit under my steering wheel column without leave a budge on the plastic cover, the antenna was installed securely and cleanly in a better location, and the LED was installed perfectly centered. I love them!Im glad I didnt waste $500+ at Foss Audio. I only wasted $50 on the chip I didnt need, which is not that a big deal. If Foss thinks they can get away with it, they will try to take advantage of you with unnecessary parts and shoddy workmanship.I will never go back there again! I DONT trust them and I DON’T recommend them. Stay away! They have given me the worse experienced ever.

Junior and his team really took care of my son Gage with a great tint job for his Mustang. It was Christmas Eve, and we were the last job of the day, but the team didnt hesitate to take care of us and give us great customer service, and had us in and out in the time promised. This is the second vehicle we have had tinted from here, and couldnt be happier. We will continue to be repeat customers.

Jr. was great. I bought a new Android Auto head unit for my car. The install was perfect and the customer service was outstanding. Everything works perfectly and for a great price.

Junior made it very easy to select the type of tint I wanted. I had no idea about the level of heat that tint helps protect from. Ill be going back for some audio gear soon!!! Junior was even able to work with my limited schedule too. Ill be going back soon for some audio gear next! They really earned my business.

The technicians here are excellent. Responsive and conscientious; take their work seriously. The equipment they sell is top of the line and their knowledge about it is extrremely helpful. I highly recommend Foss.

This place is amazing! We were having trouble with our automatic start and were stuck at a gas station with our boat attached on my birthday! The guys at Foss Audio were willing to come out to meet us and solved our problem within a few minutes! We were able to head straight to the lake! Amazing customer service!
