Bill knew what was wrong with our push leaf-blower right away, and it was fixed in no time, for a very reasonable price. We were very happy with the quick, friendly service, and highly recommend them.This was my first ever review on Google Maps. After receiving a notification from Google that this review had reached 50 views, I went back to the review page to look further at what others had said, and realized I didnt go down far enough. About 10 reviews down, Thomas Aaron said he had a bad experience--and I can understand why. And now I feel I should edit my own because our experience doesnt tell the whole story.I called Bamss about our gas-leaking push mower and asked if it could be picked up, because we didnt want gas in our car. The guy that answered the phone was, I assume, the manager Alan. He was noticeably slow to commit, but said he was going to be out our direction, and could probably pick it up. He took our address. We didnt see him that day or the next. I called again, and he hadnt remembered our arrangement, and took the address again. When he didnt show this time, I called again and said wed bring it in. We hauled in our mower in a Trax, trying to protect the back area as best as possible.When we arrived, I went in to the building to find somebody. It was not an office, but like a tinkers cave with tall junk-filled shelves and inner passages--and it was dark. It fits the image I got from Aarons review (see about a year ago), looking like a lifetime of motor scrap and better days. I was fortunate enough to find Bill, who went out to see my push blower and knew right away how to fix it. He took it right back and told us it would be done in a few hours. The price was way less than other places, which made the experience sweeter than it started with the dropped phone calls.So I admit I wrote my review to align with the previous 9, and didnt read far enough. We got excellent service (aside from having to bring it in ourselves) but even the fact that they didnt have a clerk, or secretary (I think theyd just lost one) is indicative of something. It might have been serendipity that I found Bill so quickly -- surely they have a queue of equipment waiting for attention, and could not drop everything for our machine. But thats the friendly way, do it as they come. If you want a more professional operation, youll pay more and maybe wait longer. But youll be able to use your warranty, youll know that theyre insured, youll know that you can take your case to BBB because theres some accountability. If you want to take a chance on the friendly way, wager on their love and knowledge of machines and willingness to fix things, and take what comes, then you might have a great experience. We did.Im sorry if the 50 viewers who read my first review had subsequent disappointments. This might be my first and last review.

Alan is great he goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy. There isnt much with a motor he will turn away if he thinks he can correct the issue. Be sure to give him time tho he is only one man and gets backed up with work. Thank you Alan!

Allen wants nothing to do with waranty work. Brought my craftsman pushmower in because the gear box up front was leaking oil. I brought it in for them to replace it under waranty only to get it back with nothing more than some bolts being tightened. Even though this was covered under the manufacturers waranty they then tried to charge me $40 for tightening some screws so I had to follow up with the lady who does their secretary work and she admitted they made a mistake. Tried to mow with it and to our surprise it started leaking oil from the gear box again. Brought it back a second time after they recieved the new part, they put it in and didnt call me when it was done. It then took me calling them where again the lady admitted they needed to get it done and to me. Not even an hour later I get a call telling me its done....so it was just sitting there?...whatever...go get it, use it, put it away, leaks even more than it did before on not even an acre of a flat easily managable yard. Call back in, Allen says well see what they say. A week goes by, I call in to follow up after hearing nothing Im told by a younger lady that Allen will call me back after lunch. Never heard a thing. I then call again after three more days and Allen proceeds to get nasty on the phone with me. Tells me I dont even know why I take waranty work they still havent paid me from the first time. After I remind him that I myself have been put through the run around and that the fact he chooses to do waranty work isnt my problem he was then totally rude and out of line. Blamed us beating up the lawn mower, after I literaly just told him its not even an acre of flat easy mowing. He has been terrible at communicating this entire process and ultimately did nothing more than waste my time & gas to just tinker with my mower. The fact he said he doesnt know why he takes on waranty work tells me that my mower was last on his priority list. I even asked if I should call Sears and communicate whats happening with the mower because Allen acted like he couldnt. Told me sometimes it takes forever.Bottom line: I couldnt even count on this place to return a phone call. This is not a business, its some old guy with a garage tinkering. I only went here because Sears told me to. I was encouraged by all the good reviews at first but man ... I think its his friends, wife or something. My experience will be shared and neither I or my family will be back. Allen is confused easily. Might be time to retire.......from pretending.

If you have lawn/snow equipment repairs that need done then BAMSS Mow and Snow is who you must call. Ive used about every other company in Summit County and from now on this is the only company I will call when my Lawn/Snow equipment needs repaired/serviced.
