They had the size of metal in stock and cut it to size. I could not pick it up so they were very accommodating and allowed someone else to pick up my order for me. Good service.

Found what i need for making my own racing diffuser, it metal bar, cut to custom but didnt find the shape i am looking for. But the services, and people behind the counter is amazing, black young one and midlife white lady. They are professionm at best. Came in busy time and came and out quick. I even check in to their back door.

I wish I had found this place sooner. I showed up half an hour before closing on a Saturday afternoon with no pre-placed order. The amazingly helpful staff were eager to take care of my small but odd requests. Prices are fair, inventory is diverse, my wallet is lucky that I live over an hour away. If you need metals, this is THE place to go!

I had brought in a simple cut out design to have made for me and days later still no answer. I called in and the guy there was very rude and told me its going to cost big money to have a designer draw it out. Unbelievably bad service over there

Prices 1/10 of Home Depot...I just called for pricing and got a quote of $30 for 10 3’ pieces of mild steel 3/8 square bar.I haven’t been yet and they close in 30 minutes but I am definitely going there at my next chance. #Blacksmithing

They dont care. Wont follow up to emails on two occasions on two different quotes. One was with JD and Charles on the others. After two months of waiting on the first one I called and was promptly given the price that you guys never followed up on. You lost a sale on that one. Tried you again,now Im waiting another month on another follow-up email from JD. Theres no good reason for this.Everyone should buy metal thru their local family owned metal yards. Thats what Ive been having to do.

He did a great job on water cutting a piece of 1/2-in plate. Will use them again. Wish they had a Tacoma location

This Metal Supermarkets location has water jetting services. They are competitive with my go to small run CNC shop price wise, but a little bit faster for turnaround time. The sheet good and bar stock prices are also lower than Online Metals.

Stoped in to purchase some basic steel in various sizes. Talked to JD and he took the order and said everything had to be orderd. I asked him how long it would take and he said 2 to 3 days i said ok. He said nothing about paying fo it so i left. Called 2 days laterhe then said that i should of paid for it when i was there witch he never did. These people dont care about coustmer service. Taking my business elsewhere.

The guys at the counter are excellent, the prices and quality of materials are great, and most importantly, the time to get materials that are cut to your exact lengths is extremely quick, typically same-day or while-you-wait. Ive bought steel, stainless, aluminum, and copper from them and everytime it is a pleasure doing business with them. Highly recommend.

I was in town on business for the weekend and had equipment failure .W to them on Friday at 2 pm. They said it was too late to cut the aluminum . They said itd be ready by 8 am Monday . So I told them I needed it before three because I had to get it to my driver at 3 . I was 40 miles away. Monday morning I drive there and they said they havent got it yet. I told them once again i was leaving town at 3 on and needed it 30 minutes before at the latest . They assured me it would be done. By 230 I left the shop and ran my errands . At 2 pm it wasnt done still . They called me at 330 pm to tell me to start heading that way and it would be done by the time I drove there ( 40 miles ) I told them I was already on the road . I had communicated the 230 pm cutoff because Im driver was leaving at three . The lady I spoke with was rude and said she left me voicemail multiple times . If my phone doesnt answers it gets forwarded to three other people followed by a call center answering it 24 /7 . I dont have voice mail .Today I got a call from a guy that works there saying theyve been holding my metal for a month and they wouldnt precut my metals and they were going to charge my amex . Theyve already charged my amex and amex has sided the dispute with me since I never took posession .The gentleman was rude as can be . Hes lucky Im not in town or Id go in the shop and give me piece of my mind . It was unnecessary to treat customer that way especially since I do so much business with them in Vegas . Ill call my Vegas store and let them know .

I visited this place today because I needed a piece of a material that online metals does not carry.The guy behind the counter who helped me out was arrogant and rude because I made a mistake in the way I referred to a specific kind of material. And yet they label themselves as hobbyist friendly etc.In similar situations, the guys in Fremont/Ballard have helped educate me, shown interest in learning about whatever specific project I am working on at the moment, and even given me a freebie or two.I will only ever come back if I absolutely have a need for a material that I can not source elsewhere locally and I cannot wait to have it shipped.
