Awesome place! Beers are fun and easy drinking. The atmosphere is laid-back, and it has X-Men pinball! Cant wait to get back.

This is the second time here because the drinks and food are delightful. Ive got to take a pic of the gf drunken noodles, but I keep on diving in so its not pic worthy. However the mystique is gluten free and super tasty despite the sweet. Im a drier type of drinker. Our server James was the BEST ❤

Staff were amazing! Food was delicious. We had a large-ish group so I called ahead to make sure we could fit. From the outside, the brewery looks small but much like a Tardis, it is bigger on the inside. The openness of the layout inside made it very relaxing and comfortable. There was a great selection of craft beers and a few cocktails. The mini arcade was a big hit with the kids. Our group of 20 fit perfectly and with room to spare. Thank you Jared and the rest of the staff for making Broad Leaf Brewery a highlight of our weekend. The kids had fun, the adults got to unwind. Everything was great!

Came to allow my husband to do a beer flight and left having some beer myself. I’m very very picky on what beer I will drink and I found 3 I really liked.Also had the curry fried rice balls and they were amazing.Left with a four pack.

Everything about this brewery was great! Atmosphere was very welcoming and visually appealing (great open space), bartenders were very friendly and attentive, food was delicious and had GF options (chicken skewers FTW!), and of course the beer was tasty! You will not be disappointed!

Broad Leaf is one of the best places to get food in Grand Rapids. They have an exceptional list of staples that are consistent and delicious. However, their specials are where its at. Always funky and fresh, their specials are above and beyond what youd expect from a brewery.In addition to the ridiculous food, the beer is truly unique and excellent. The Broad Leaf beers are quirky, atypical, and unlike anything else youd get in a town oversaturated with breweries. In addition to their own beers, they sell beers from big brother Brewery Vivant, and theyre currently the only place to sell the up-and-coming Black Calder beers.Ive been going here for years and I can unequivocally say Ive never left Broad Leaf disappointed in the food, beer, or service. Get on it, people!

Great service, food and craft beer. Had a great mix of music (90s-2000s). I suggest you should try the collard hummus wraps. The Beer battered cheese filled bread was phenomenal. My friend had the peri-peri chicken sandwich and she loved it.

Our first time eating dinner in since the pandemic began, and our first time here. The beer was fantastic, service was great and friendly. It is a very comfortable place to be and a real treat for us after waiting so long to dine-in again. We will definitely be back when in the area

My husband, dear friend and I ventured to this place for some food and good beverages after completing an ultra race. Sometimes a great beer place has meh food, sometimes the food ends up being better than the beer.THIS place has both amazing food and amazing drinks. They work closely with Brewery Vivant and both are exceptional in experience. We had the nachos with chicken added, drunken noodles, chicken tacos, and the A burger for food - all excellent, though I do wish shrimp had been an option to add in to the noodles.Husband loved the sweet potato stout the most from his flight purchased and added a second pour for additional enjoyment. I prefer cider and the one on tap was a perfect dry one.If we are ever back in the area this place is a “must stop in”.

My husband and I LOVE this place! Great beers, even better food, and an awesome staff. We love the casual atmosphere because no one ever comes by to bug you or make you feel rushed. This place is definitely a favorite for us.

This is simply a great bar! Its unlike most any other bar in the area in design and content. What theyve created is basically an indoor open concept which feels more like an outdoor venue for to its layout.Remnants of shipping containers are used for the walls of some of the tables, prep, and service areas, as well as the overhanging escape pod which is basically a small contained seating area with a balcony. Great design, and anyone should be able to find a place for comfortable conversation, large groups, or just a nice seat at the bar.Service is by a single bar for drinks and a single food window which reminds me of an indoor food truck. This is a beer bar. The beers at the time of review were all brewed in house. Theres a focus on IPAs and sours. The food is a mix of grill and fried items with some healthier options also.Drinks and food were great. You will get a proper glass depending on your beer here. Food is prepared with care and generously seasoned. For the price, atmosphere, and level of service, both the drinks and food were excellent. My only critique is that my steak wasnt served with a steak knife which was sorely needed. Barely something to complain about when everything else is so on-point.Id recommend this place for any casual gathering, be it with friends, coworkers, or family. Great atmosphere, extremely friendly service, good pricing and options. Ill be back!

One of my favorite places. Beer is always good and I love the food. Especially appreciate how they change the menu fairly frequently.

2 stars for delicious fries. Besides that, I shared three different meals and all of them were bland to say the least. Service was absolutely terrible. This review is for July of 2021 and you still have to order at the bar thru plexiglass. There were 3 of us dining and when we asked for ketchup the waitress brought out two ketchup ramekins..? She didnt visit the table again after that. This place is ridiculous. If youre into mediocre high ticket restaurants where the male servers with hairy legs are rocking short shorts, look no further.

Best meal we’ve ever had at a brewery! Good beer too. Wasn’t sure what to expect with the rice balls, but they were phenomenal. Seems like they’ve done a great job updating things for Covid compliance. We felt very welcome and comfortable eating there.

Love this place. Its a gem of a Brewery . Like the shipping containers turn into a Kitchen and extra seating. The beer are great, they are doing experimental beers and others. Great addition to the Grand Rapids Beer city scene . Also the first Brewery in Kentwood.

This amazing spot holds the honor of my first indoor dining experience since March! I was here once before, and I am glad to be back. The food is awesome, with a focused menu of high quality options and is accompanied by a wide drink selection. If you are worried about visiting a restaurant, they have handled the situation wonderfully, with separated spaces, online/contactless ordering and great service. Keep it up!

This place has great beer and food in a laid back industrial atmosphere that is super cool and makes you feel like you have a little personal space. They are very cleanly during covid times. There are other breweries that brew here also like black calder (which is sweet). I would expect nothing less knowing brewery vivant!

First time here. They have a nice variety of food options and lots of local craft beer on tap. I went to try something from Black Calder Brewery. I tried the KiwiZilla, which is a Kiwi Vanilla Sour. Its a collab between BCB and Broad Leaf. It was really good! I could taste the citrus right away, with the vanilla as the finish. My cousin tried the Bougie Sweet Potato Pie Stout and she really liked it. We both got their Just A Burger, which was pretty big! We had their fries too. She had the Straight Up Fries with salt and pepper, and I had them with parm and garlic. I definitely plan to be back.

Great local brewery outside of downtown. Loved that I felt comfortable with its safe seating and cleaning efforts (during this time). Beers and food were great. Friendly staff. Definitely will be back.

Theyre always adding new, awesome beers and I love the staff. They are taking covid seriously and doing what they can to keep everyone safe. Plus the food menu rotates monthly, so its really never the same place twice.

If youre reading this review during covid-19 this is a good place to get a drink. Seating indoors or out. Indoors has 20 ft ceilings large fans drawing air up and robust air removal system. I believe we can live our lives as long as were smarter during these times.

Love the changing menu themes, makes us return more often to try new things. Will miss the german menu items but looking forward to trying new items in the future.

I had a couple sour beers and were decent. The way they had it set up was just annoying. So you had to go up and get your drinks and take care of your own stuff when you were done. Just not what I want to do if I’m going out. I can do the same at home. 🤷🏼‍♂️🙄

They have a good beer selection by themselves, and you can get some Vivant beers too. Small food menu, but its well made. Nice and open venue too.

My husband and I love checking out new breweries and this one is very unique! They have cornhole inside which I think will be so fun to play in the winter. They have a wide variety of beer, and the IPA and Pale Ale I had was fresh and delicious. Their kitchen has been open a week, so I ordered some fries and they were great! Staff is super friendly and excited about the possibilities of the brewery. Looking forward to see what they do.

Ive been here twice so far, and both times were awesome. Drinks are on point, great selection, and food is very good. First time I got Flank and Fries, and it was epic. Last time I got the Burger and it was again...phenominal. Well done, keep it up.

I came here with a group of people. I was there about 15 minutes before everyone else. Never got served. After about 5 more people came someone finally came to take our drink orders. But she only took one at a time. She would get one beer then come back and take the next order. It took forever to get a beer and thats not including the 15 minutes I sat waiting by myself. I didnt really like any of the beers. The best ones were Brewery Vivant beers and they werent that great. I wont be back unless I hear they have something worth trying. There are many better places.

Love it. Devin and Emon made me feel welcome from the get go. Love the beer, and food is impressive. Being a vegetarian its great to have options. I wish them the best and Im thankful we have such a great option in the area.

Excellent food, exceptional beer! Had the curried chickpeas and was impressed with the quality of the food.

I saw some cans at my local beer store and figured I should go check the place out myself. Really cool, open atmosphere. I mean, how sweet is that tree-house in the top corner?! Nice touch. I had the Cult Pils and the Vanilla Zilla. They were pretty good! The Hazier J is also a good choice. I would certainly stop by again in the future.

Went to the soft opening on 4/26. I’d say the beer options were excellent ranging from a simple lager to barrel aged and sours. They have a few Vivant beers on tap for anyone coming to the owners’ second brewing project. As it was a soft opening there is plenty room for growth, but I’d go back.
