This review is for the curbside pick-up service that they provide. Since the pandemic hit, I have used several grocery pick-up services. This Family Fare is one of the best that I have used. That is not to say that there is no room for improvement. There is.However, this Family Fare has some of the nicest, friendliest crew working there. The meat is always very good, and I trust them not to crush my bread. If you have to order groceries like I do, this Family Fare is worth the subscription.♿ Accessibility Features:Ramp access = YesWheelchair-accessible Entrance = Automatic doorsWheelchair-accessible Parking = YesPower Chairs Available = Yes
Have shopped here for years. Good stuff, good price. Been using fast lane- last 3 orders had problems. This order was correct - no issues.
I pre-ordered 3 dozen doughnuts as my daughter wanted to bring them as a class treat. I paid a great price. (way better than I was quoted at the doughnut shop in Wyoming!) The bakery ladies were very accommodating. Store was clean and well maintained.
Family fare is great! Not the best place for everything you need like a Meijer, but their hot food selection isnt half bad, and they have a produce prep station where you can shop for your produce, drop it off and tell them how you want it prepped, and then keep shopping while they do the prep work for you. Square footage is smalller than normal big groceries so navigating through the aisles can be difficult because they are always a little two tight with a shopping cart. Family fare gets a 4/5 because they stupidly place their baskets outside the door by the grocery carts. So if you want to pick up a few things then see a bunch of impromptu purchase items you have to find a spot to drop all your stuff then run to the front of the story to get a basket to then go get your stuff again. Why not place them inside (easy fix) or smarten up and place several bays throughout the store for people to see and utilize.
Always love Family Fare. This is also where my pharmacy is located. They do deliver that is the Family Fare Pharmacy. Such wonderful service. I am so happy they deliver medication.
The Family Fare at Kalamazoo & 60th is great. You have the most wonderful honest staff person! I didn’t get her name but she was on the floor helping bag self-checkout groceries very early on the morning of Father’s Day 2021. I had purchased a couple small things in self checkout and used the cash back option. Still tired, i ended up gathering up my grocery bags and strolling away without grabbing my cash. Even though she was several aisles away, the staff person heard the beeps and ran to grab my cash and hand it to me. I was so very grateful!! I would have probably made it all the way home before realizing my mistake. So thank you, thank you, thank you, kind and wonderful Family Fare staff person!
Bottle returns are constantly closed, been here before with my parents and some meat was expired and turning green. Store is otherwise organized and clean, customer service is fast.Family fare is usually a bit overpriced compared to other grocery stores like WalMart, but if you got coupons and sales its not bad. Good selection and brands otherwise. The store is also smaller than most larger stores so you can get your stuff and leave quickly.Carts are small but are all in good condition.Produce section is huge at this store.
Says online you’re open 24/7, I get hours are off and I showed up at 11:50, but when I pull up there’s a lady and her two kids standing in the storm and rain, I call and ask if they locked the doors and the lady tells me nobody is locked out and that they are closed. Lady standing in the rain with her two kids and the employee is lying to me saying nobody locked the doors and denying service during hours of operation while it’s storming and this lady is standing in the rain with her kids. I can go get ice cream somewhere else, but come on. Lady and two kids. Here more than 10 minutes before close, that’s trash.
Its a nice store but most things have higher prices than I would like to pay for food. I would probably only go there for a quick one item thing.
I sad because of coin star out of orderAnd fast bottles and cans. Recycling because I need my money
Nice clean and neat place. Seems to have everything one needs at a grocery store. Shop there alot. Seems like over 30 years.
I do love family fare but when purchasing a salad it was super bad made my whole lunch bag smell horrible so now I dont buy fresh produce from them
They are just so expensive. Twice the price as walmart or meyer.
They have stepped their game up recently with great deals now. Ive been going there now more then I have been going to Meijers or even save-a-lot.
Pharmacy guy was nice and friendly. He told me how long it would be for my medicine and it didnt take that long of a wait.
The store was well stocked and the workers were very helpful 👍
Family Fare is higher priced than the larger Superstores. I would be willing to pay higher prices because its a smaller West MI based supermarket, but the quality just isnt as good as it used to be.
It was nice. Cute store good food.
Staff are not friendly! Not plastic bag for the product. And the manager roll up she eyes on me!Never come back.
Had everything I needed. Good prices. Not very busy. Clean store
A great place to shop.
Love shopping there. They carry more of the items that we use. Meat looks great.
Decent supermarket with pricing for the market their in. I shop here a couple times a month.
Prices to high clean store hard to compete with the big boys..
Clean. They had everything I wanted plus more. The ambiance is nice too.
Quick in and out.
Clean and neat store.
Nice store. Convenient.
Great quick run grocery store and pharmacy for the local community. Be prepared to use self-checkout here. There is typically only one regular lane open and the customer service desk.
The prices are very good, large selection, produce is always fresh. I like how easy it is to get in and out of, same with the parking lot.
They had everything I was looking for.
Not pandemic safe, only one cashier. People balled up like stock market floor.
Very good store but they dont have a lot of stuff in stock. Very nice and polite and try to help the best I can
Was good not crowded in and out quickly staff were nice
Always a quick in and out experience. Descent prices
They have good service, very pleasant staff and they keep it clean.
Honestly just go to Aldi or Save-a-Lot. You will get more for your money at the other places.
Clean, but more expensive than most grocery stores.
The service was great but the prices were very hard to find 😕 😒
Thanks to the flower department who put together a flower arrangement and card for my Mum on Mothers day. Excellent phone service by store associates, especially because it was an online order I made from another state. Thanks again Family Fare family
In and out quicklyDecent pricesFriendly staff
Good wine section. Store needs to expand or they will not make it.
Nice store but they had a lobster special and sold out in like 20 minutes maybe get more lobsters next time
Friendly staff & very clean store! The sales were really good & product availability was impressive.
Nice people,. Clean store
Fresh fruit and vegatables are easy to find here. Friendly staff at everyone i have been to . When grogery shopping here my list is completly checked off when leaving the store.
Clean store, lots of shoppers.Great baking supplies.
The experience was very good with customer service and pharmacy being top-notch. Check-out service was good. All workers were courtious and kind.
I love this locations produce section. Everything is already cleaned, prepped and ready to go. The store is always clean too. Way better than the location on 44th & Breton. Prices are a little high though. That would be my only complaint.
Great place too shop
Always easy to accesss
Clean, good selection, high priced but friendly people.
A decent choice of products and decent prices as well. No USPS inside
Family Fare is way over priced, but when you are the only place in town, you can do whatever you want.
Great store! Always clean and I love their weekly meat sale item!
Easy shopping experience. Quick in and out
Got the fried chicken for dinner. So good.
Went to buy 2 items and cash in bottle slips.Had to go to customer service to cash in slips because items I bought where below amount of bottle slips. Why cant you just get $$$ back at register.
I want in to the family fare today to get stuff that I needed. The man ringing my stuff up had me run my card proceeded to ask me in a loud voice if I had money in my account. Then he proceeded to holler across the store not once but twice about what the code meant that was coming up on his screen. So as I didnt have any service in there I thought maybe something was wrong at my bank walked out into the parking lot check that both of my accounts have plenty of money to cover this multiple times. When I came back in the store he walked by me three times ignoring me finally I said something to him and he said I would have to go to the service counter. I will never step foot back in that store again and I wish I knew how to get a hold of somebody that could do something about it because Ive never been treated so horribly in my entire life.
Thumbs up!
Clean, safe place to shop. Easy to find stuff.
Clean store. I like that everyone wore masks for safety. Good selection for current circumstances.
Got a case of water half gallon orange juice half gallon of tomato juice for under 15 bits
A wide variery of goods. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The meat could be a little cheaper priced. All in all a good place to shop.
Very clean Compared to 44th and Breton store. Prices are expensive.
Clean store, well stocked and most importantly enforcement of mask order.
I’ll give it a one star rating for how clean and good some of the employees are, but the managers there are extremely rude. Every single time I have been to family fare, I’ve either have been stopped for one of the managers to say something rude or be stared at a rude way.
Very nice people great carrot cake. Do stop in
Large store with a nice neighborhood store feel. Nice sale prices. Friendly and helpful staff! Fast service.
Nice people
Awesome Keeping Shopping Safe 😷 Great People😃 Working there! Keeping Stocked 👍👍
Been a long time since Ive been there. They were out of some of the things I needed.
Convenient grocery store with good selection of items. Fruit and vegetables displayed in an attractive manner. Good seafood and deli. Rotisserie chicken. Sort of pricey. If looking only at prices you could do better elsewhere.
Please Please, remove the plastic bottle of cleaner at the front door, which also has a roll of paper towel for the carts . Every customer who is trying to be safe has to grab the plastic bottle, then pull off from the brown paper is towel. NOT SAFE😈
Small Town grocery store with a big,big selection. No clothing, housewares etc. Just great deals on groceries. Nice recycle set up and has everything you need in a store.
Very clean and organized. But a lot of there items or over priced. Example A bottle of wine I like is double the price from everyone else.
Convenient and clean
Clean, direction and distancing markets are clear and easy to follow, well stocked
Good place to go grocery shopping good location got to love the buy one get ones lot of times on pork chops and stuff.... I really enjoy the staff at this one super nice girl up the lottery counter is always really nice... never go without your Family Fare card though get those discounts:-)
The store was recently rearranged. It is weird and not ideal. Food is mixed in the non food area. I went to the store to purchase meal protein bars. At any given store this can be found on the adult nutrition aisle or the breakfast bar aisle; nope, next to pharmacy is where I found them. To my surprise there was only one left. Waste of time and effort.
Clean and great customer service
I dont care for there store if you dont have a card the prices are high. Meijer is the place for me GREAT DEALS
I love my Family Fare. Its my own personal shopping experience. I can browse with a complimentary cup of coffee through the new deli section, or have an consultation with my pharmacist.
Hood place to buy food.
Great place to work for a part time job. The store can get cold at times. clean store. Adequate lighting. Management is really flexible with schedules. Very good donuts. Produce department is well stocked with fresh fruits and veggies.
Just came from family fare on Kalamazoo, friendly cashier, helped me get milk also bread! Great place to shop! Nobody there, at 600 am.
Not too expensive not too too cheap
Found everything easily.
Too expensive to shopping
Needs faster checkouts
Convenient location but prices compared to Meijers or Walmart are a bit higher. But its convenient, clean and friendly. Easier in and out stops.
Nice clean store.
I like there display of simple food to cook for dinner. Ready to make real ingredients.
Pharmacy lady helped me find the hydrogen peroxide. Yay!
It was pleasant and very clean. Store looked amazing I found what I wanted. Cashiers were very friendly
Just rundown and old fashioned. Higher prices than meijers and just..outdated. The last resort if I dont want to wait through two lights for meijers. :/
Nice smaller 24h family fare. Produce is usually pretty good.
Clean store easy shopping
