She helped out in any way she could, made sure I had everything I needed and explained everything about the packages they offer and their payment plans in detail so I could understand completely. She was so helpful in choosing different dress options for me and did everything she could to help with my budget. I had gone dress shopping twice before going to southern bride and third time was the charm! Kati was perfect and I left with the most beautiful wedding dress! 10 out of 10!

My experience was wonderful! I had Courtney as a stylist and she was amazing! She helped me look my best even when the dresses didn’t fit right. She helped me catch the exact vision I was looking for even though I’m super particular about how I wanted to look. We found a dress on the first fitting session. Courtney listened to me when I told her what I did and didn’t like about each dress and I ended up with her pick off the rack, not my own! She read me perfectly and I’m so happy!

Kati has gone above and beyond in helping me find the perfect dress and in helping my bridesmaids pay for their dresses and get sized. She was flexible during our appointment and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and knowledgable about each step during the process. I’m not the girl who grew up dreaming of my perfect dress or wedding, but walking into this store felt like a fairy tale! Kati helped me and made me feel so comfortable! She cheered me on and quickly figured out what I loved and made it happened (she even knew what my mom loved and dressed me up for her to see which was so sweet for her). Being a plus size bride I am always scared to go into bridal shops and not feel comfortable but the ladies at southern bride made my experience the best I could imagine. Never once did I feel like I didn’t get the same options Or service the “skinny” girls have if anything they said they would love to customize anything I wanted. When I went to David’s bridal before the things I wanted in a dress I was told would “take away the beauty of the dress” and my vision was ignored but at southern bride every suggestion I made about a dress they were happy to accommodate even excited (I wanted a 2 in 1 dress) overall would 100% recommend.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.I purchased a beautiful dress from this store in August 2019 for my wedding in March 2020 after what seemed like good customer service. However, the date passed that I was told my dress would be available (December 2019, as written in my contract based on when I was planning to take bridal portraits), and I received absolutely no communication that my dress was delayed or that there would be a new arrival time. I had been holding off scheduling my portraits until I knew my dress was in.In January 2020, I called to find out what was going on (fully under the assumption that my dress had been delivered but they had simply failed to contact me). I was given the run-around repeatedly, with no indication as to when my dress was to arrive. I was told the owner was the only person who knew anything about ordering and delivery and that she was unreachable. I was given this response on 4 separate occasions.Following the several phone calls to Southern Bride that resulted in no information, I called another bridal boutique with a better reputation (Tiffanys in Richmond, VA -- I highly recommend if you are willing to travel). The owner of Tiffanys was able to contact the designer directly within a of couple hours and order my dress immediately (it was sitting in stock in the correct sizing and color) to be delivered by the end of the month (January 2020).There is no reason for my dress to have not been delivered to Southern Bride in a similar time frame if they had truly done their job correctly in the first place back in August 2019. Even if there were to be delays, Southern Bride should have called me to let me know, and I should not have received the run-around multiple times when inquiring where my dress was. I have now wasted my time waiting for a dress from Southern Bride, plus, I wasted my money buying a dress that I will now not be needing (as I ordered the exact same dress from Tiffanys in Richmond, VA).No bride should experience this, and no bride should have to wonder if she will or will not have a dress for her wedding. PLEASE CHOOSE TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

I received a text message saying that they would be closed due to the coronavirus. But when you pay for a service and the company is unable to provide the service you should be issued a refund. Not here they will keep your money and be unable to help in any way using a pandemic as a way to screw their customers out of any compromise about the situation. Since they have reopened i simply called and ask for a gift certificate of equal value and unfortunately i picked the one store that does not have gift certificates.

Worst experience ever. I cannot state it enough, DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE, they will cause more stress than any other part of the entire wedding planning process.I placed the order for my bridesmaids dresses back in September. When ordering them, I told the sales people I would need the dresses by January to be able to ship them to my bridesmaids across the world. I was told this would not be an issue, and I could expect to receive them by January 15th.When I had not heard from the bridal shop come January, I began trying to get in touch to find out the status of my order. The only pleasant person working here is the sweet older woman, who unfortunately was not able to access any information for my order. After speaking to her every day for a week and leaving multiple messages for the owner, I was given the the number for their other location and told she might be there.I began calling their Kernersville store and was met with very rude sales representatives who forgot to hang up the phone, and began bad mouthing me to the other sales representatives when she thought I was no longer on the line.When I was finally able to get in touch with the owner AFTER WEEKS OF CALLING I was told that my order had just been placed, and the dresses would be in the week before my wedding in May. Again, when I placed this order in the fall, I was told the dresses would be received and ready for pick up in January. It wasnt until February when I was finally able to reach the owner and request my order be canceled and a refund issued.The only good thing to come out of this order, is that after the weeks of calling, I was able find the same dresses for 1/3 the price elsewhere.I cannot state it enough, this place is the worst, the owner is the worst business manager I ever met, which explains why their staff is constantly changing. There are so many red flags with this place, I cannot believe they are still in business. They even deleted their Yadkinville business listing because it had so many bad reviews!If you still are hoping to find your bridesmaid dresses, or wedding dress here, bless you, my heart goes out to you, and I wish you the best of luck- youre going to need it.

I found a beautiful dress but after my initial appointment things went downhill. My husband called 3 days before our wedding to make sure our tuxes had arrived. Well they never ordered them!! They had written down the wrong wedding date! If my husband had not called we wouldn’t have had tuxes for our wedding! Talk about epic disaster! They had them shipped overnight and one tux came in with a stain and my husbands had a crease in the collar that showed up in ALL our wedding pictures. My mother went to pick up my dress at a scheduled time before the wedding and it had not been steamed which I had paid for. In the meantime my sister was getting married and chose southern bride also.... she had even more issues. They have beautiful affordable dresses but the owner does not know how to run a business. They lack so many qualities that will ultimately hold them back. Without good customer service a business loses customers and without customers the business with eventually fail. Working in the wedding industry is not something that can be taken lightly. For most people this is a one time occasion that must be as close to perfect as possible.

Horrible place to buy wedding attire. My wife and I had a horrible experience with them. They lie to you about when the wedding dress would be ready and we only got it in after multiple calls to remind them. That being said when we receive it it wasn’t altered properly so more time was wasted. If you want a headache and a stomach ulcer feel free to do business with these people. Absolutely worthless business!!

Overall, my experience was great! Im sorry for brides and other customers who did not have a good experience. I actually found my dress somewhere else but wrote down the designer and style number and came back to Southern Bride, where I had previously tried on dresses and had experienced great service, to order and purchase my dress. I made an appointment at this salon on a weekday when I knew things would be slow in the shop and I might get more dedicated help in selecting a gown. Not all brides are 20 years old and a size 6, and Id never even tried a wedding gown on before. I expressed my need for help when making my appointment. My friends live out of town and my mother is deceased.When I got there, the sole attendant could not have been more than 18 years old. She presented me with frumpy gown options that someone 80 years old would wear. The only dressing mirror in the shop was in the middle of the lobby, so if youre insecure to begin with about the whole ordeal, now you get to prance around in a gown with the back out because its too small, in front of plate glass windows to Main Street. I stayed about 10 minutes and left so disappointed.Unless you have a mother or experienced friend to help and advise you, I would skip this salon. Its an off-the-rack experience. I found the help I needed and a beautiful gown at Nitsas in Winston-Salem.

I went into Southern Bride not initially planning on purchasing a dress. I was just going in to try some on. The staff were so friendly that I could not imagine buying my dress anywhere else. I tried on 12 dresses some that I picked others that Deanna picked for me! The one she picked was my dress! I ordered it to come in for bridal portraits and it was a close time frame. They called me everyday to update me and even called the manufacturer to make sure it would come in! They stayed open a little late so I could pick my dress up and even steamed it for me! My bridesmaids also got all their dresses there as well and Deanna was so helpful handling each girl so that I didnt have to! Even when the original dress manufacturer went out of business she helped us find a dress and color comparable that actually worked out better! Every experience I had with them was so wonderful! They were always available to help or answer questions! I would highly recommend Southern Bride to anyone needing a prom dress, wedding gown, bridesmaid dress, mother of the bride, flower girl, or tux rental! The girls in the store are so wonderful and I honestly feel like I have lifelong friends there! Their custom personalized dress hangers are beautiful as well! Southern Bride is truly a hidden gem tucked away in Yadkinville! Dont skip over it!

I went with the sole purpose of finding a Maggie Sottero gown but was not shown a single one. Instead, I was rushed through the entire fitting. I left and went to Lasting Impressions in Lexington instead, who has a ton of Maggie gowns, and found my dream dress.

At first I loved Southern Bride. The lady that helped me find my dress was very nice and listened to what I wanted. On my first visit I found my dream dress! I ordered it and waited for it to come in. Once it came in it and I had my first fitting my experience went down hill. My husband and his groomsmen went to Southern Bride to get their tuxes. I went with them because I knew what shade of purple my bridesmaids dresses were. Every tiny detail was written down that day for each of the groomsmen and my Husband. (I know this for a fact because I read over all the papers before leaving) We ordered the tuxes about a month before our wedding day. From the time we ordered the tuxes to about 4 days before the wedding Southern Bride called me numerous times about issues that was clearly written down in our folder. For example, my brother did not order shoes with his tux because he had his own pair of shoes he was wearing (which saved him from paying a $20 shoe rental). Southern Bride called me around 12 times wondering why he did not order shoes. Each time I told them that he had his own pair of shoes he was wearing and that it was written in the file he wasnt ordering shoes. Another time they kept calling me is when they didnt know which color shirts the guys had ordered. I told them what color they ordered. Why didnt they just look in the file? Anyways, when you purchase a gown with Southern Bride you get 2 free steams for your dress. I decided I wanted to use 1 before the wedding and the other after the wedding. I even informed the two ladies of this. The first steam experience was okay. When I got there they had asked if I brought a blanket/sheet. I told them nobody told me to. However, the second steam didnt turn out so great. My brother-in-law dropped my dress off and told them I wanted to use my second steam. They informed him that I needed to call them. After my honeymoon I called them. They asked what I wanted done to my dress. I told them that I wanted to use my second free steaming. They suggested that I have my dress cleaned and preserved. I informed them that I didnt want my dress cleaned and preserved and that I just wanted to use my second free steaming. They said okay they understood. I asked them when my dress would be ready and they told me to call back next week to see if it would be ready. So I did what they said and called them back the following week. When I spoke with them they told me they didnt touch my dress because they didnt know what I wanted done to it. I once again told them I wanted just the steaming. Their reply was that I needed a cleaning and preservation. At this point I am super frustrated. I explained to them why I didnt want a cleaning and preservation. After I got off of work that same day, I went to Southern Bride and picked up my dress (without it being steamed). If you want to find your perfect dress then go here. They really do have a lot of beautiful dresses to choose from. However, their communication to one another and to their customers needs serious improvement. Also, if they would get organized maybe they wouldnt have to call the customers to ask what they are supposed to do.

I’m giving them a two just for the fact that I found a dress I liked. The experience was not very pleasant. I felt like I was not a priority to them. I had to wait to get on the stand because there were three other brides scheduled at the same time I was. It was very unorganized. I wasn’t sure who worked there and who didn’t. Felt a little pushed to try on things I didn’t want to, being very conservative I wanted to cover up and not have anything to revealing. Maybe if it wouldn’t have been prom season it wouldn’t have been as bad but I just wasn’t pleased.

We had the best experience here today. My daughter said YES to the dress THANK YOU💕
