Based on half empty shelves you would think that there was a food shortage but if you look closer you will realize that it is just neglect. Full crates of eggs sitting behind empty crates, large yogurt tubs jumbled-up so it looks like theyre out of the one that you want until you sift through the mess and find a whole section buried under the mismatch stuff. I even uploaded a picture of old rusted can goods holding up the shelves in the sports drink aisle. I guess its my fault for wanting to make a quick trip to the grocery instead of driving the extra 5 or 10 minutesto the better maintained Krogers

The self-checkout bagging stations are extremely sensitive to weight changes and constantly accuse you of stealing, requiring an attendant to come over and clear the machine. On a recent trip, only one lane with a human cashier was open and the lane extended well down an adjacent food aisle. Every self-checkout station was in use and only a single attendant was covering all 6. He was frantically moving between them all, and had to come to our station at least 4 times to clear the machine from falsely accusing us of stealing. He told us there was a theft problem at this Kroger, so the bagging scales had been deliberately set by management to a sensitive setting. So in effect, by increasing the self-checkout weight sensitivity instead of staffing more humans at actual checkout lanes, Kroger has decreased the overall customer experience and made it more difficult to pay and get out of the store. There are rarely technical solutions for behavioral problems. In this situation, the problem is theft at self-checkout lanes. The solution isnt to worsen the self-checkout experience for everyone; the solution is MORE HUMANS so that less people are forced to use self-checkout in the first place.

This Kroger is terrible and to be honest I think it has been my entire life. I remember my grandmother and mother going here and they disliked it as well. Every time I go here there is nothing in stock that I need. These would include water, frozen breakfast items, breads, really essentials for any household. The past couple of times I used the pickup I would get to the store and an associate would come out and say that the system is down and there is nothing they can do. Thank you for making me waste my time, energy and gas. The pharmacy walk up window is always closed. How is this even possible with covid-19? Would this not be a better option so we do not come into the store and risk contact/spread with each other? Also if I do come into the store and manage to get anything I need, I HAVE TO BAG MY OWN GROCERIES EVERY SINGLE TIME. There is always a bagger when I get in line then as soon as I load my items they walk away. Then I am left with a grouchy cashier and I am bagging the groceries. Next time I will be asking for a paycheck since apparently I am a bagger now and pretty darn good. This location needs to step up its game.

One of the worst Krogers Ive visited. Some staff is not friendly. Inside is dated/old and not the cleanest.Dont order online - they substitute items they have in stock for slower selling items. My frozen pizzas were not frozen and they were out of stock of common items. No consistency - sometimes you get a receipt, sometimes you dont, sometimes plastic, sometimes paper, etc, etc.

I was just browsing the local Kroger in search of my beloved cookie dough ice cream, upon my discovery of Jimmy Fallons Tonight Dough I thought I had finally reached heaven. In a euphoric state of disbelief and awe I ventured to the self checkout instead of a traditional cashier in respect of my crippling social anxiety. Upon arrival at approximately 8:32 pm I was ushered by a worker to checkout quickly because many of the checkout stations were being closed for the night. My partner and I were treated as an inconvenience by the staff and it was rather unpleasant. Thanks for ruining my ice cream Kroger, 0 stars out of 5.P.s. Upon review I have granted a single star in respect to Jimmy Fallon, do not take this as a compliment Kroger.

The last few times I have went have really turned me away from going there. Prices continue to go up (which may be out of their control) but customer service keeps getting worse! Employees are more worried about getting the online orders filled instead of helping customers right in front of them. When it is busy and the only (register) that is open is the self checkout. Not a fan of self checkout. I am paying inflated prices to keep up with higher wages and increased shipping rates but when I have to do your job and scan my own groceries, maybe I can get a small break on the inflated prices. I understand that it is hard to get people to work these days and this location might be getting hit harder with this fact than others but management should step in with a plan of action.

Nice, clean and cool building with friendly staff and good deals with their Kroger card if you have it. Not too crowded and a enjoyable quiet shopping experience overall. I will definitely recommend this Kroger on Dorothy Lane in Kettering if you want quality product at decent prices and refuse to give the rich *** Walton family any of your hard earned money and business because Kroger really cares while the Waltons dont care at all, thats why they keep raising fees for check cashing and other services that disproportionately affect the lower income households then ask for you to help end world hunger when they could do more to end world hunger by selling some of their exotic cars, boats and airplanes but they are too greedy for that so they push more of it off on the little guys which is apprehensible.

This Kroger location is alright. Kroger has really stepped up their game at their newer locations. So, I suppose it isn’t fair to compare the old to the new. DO NOT USE PICKUP SERVICES AT THE DOROTHY LANE LOCATION. We placed a large order, and were missing $71 worth of groceries that were not placed in our vehicle. And yes I got a refund, but I had to sit on the phone for 20mins and it wont be credited for 7-10 days. So Im out of the majority of our food for the week, and have to wait for a week to get the credit. The last order, we had a few things that were messed up, but we overlooked it as mistakes do happen. It was also a large order. But I am upset that my groceries went to someone else most likely. Now I have to go spend the time I saved by ordering online to shop for what were missing, I lost all my virtual coupons savings and have to pay full price to replace it all as its the majority of the items that I had coupon savings loaded to my card for and are gone now. Fantastic. Ill be using Meijers order pickup from now on, sadly. I much prefer Krogers quality.

The people who shop for the online shoppers are always blocking the aisles every time Im in there. they only have one register open no matter how busy and corral everybody with full carts of groceries to the self-checkout which makes it harder to get through when you only have a couple things. I highly recommend the Click List pick Up! I do my weekly grocery shopping from the comfort of my couch. I usually start Friday and finalize everything by Saturday night with a pickup Sunday morning. I get to choose all the best deals available. Today I saved $49 with coupons digital offers and in store deals.Had I not used click list I would have rushed through shopping pushing through snotty kids, and grumpy adults like myself. Missing deals, grabbing what I know, making a B line for the exit. The attendants are very quick and courteous. 100% worth the $4.99 fee. The first 4 times are free. And if you shop Kroger enough they will certainly send you coupons that make up for that fee. E.g. today I had an $8 off $80 coupon.

My wife and I have been shopping at Kroger since we moved to our home in Kettering in 1984. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars with the Kettering store. I visited the Dorothy Ln/Woodman Dr store on Monday 03/30. After having my 6 social distance encroached several times, I began to ask people if they knew how far 6 was? As I was making my way through the store, I came upon 3 managers and said they needed to enforce the 6 social distance mandate, to which they replied, Its not our responsibility to manage our customers behavior to which I replied BS! As I was checking out, I see one of the managers, Noah, approaching and I motioned him my way. I said, The least you could do is use the speaker system to remind customers to follow the 6 guideline to which he replied We do, every several minutes In the past Ive been able to hear things over the speaker system with no problem, even the chime they play every few minutes, which I didnt hear on Monday. I replied I havent heard it he replied maybe you should listen and if you dont quiet down Ill have the Kettering Police escort you off the premises me Are you serious? I just spent $213 here and youre going to have the Kettering Police escort me off the premises? Tee it up!! This man has NO business having a job that deals with customers! Mr. Steve Redmon would have never spoken to a customer this way! I called the KPD when I got to my car and was told we cant have an officer at every store I didnt expect them to, but they could have an officer make a quick stop and speak to the manager, how long would that take? Meijer is only about a mile further away and Ive been there since Monday and they do have an announcement that is very clear and easy to hear.

I loathe this location. Things really went south after the remodel, which, so far as I can tell, only served to rearrange the location of items in the store, considering the store still looks 40+ years old inside. You get reported a lot because a customer believes you are rude when you dont mean it. Its just how you were raised. I guess people read others wrong. You are also worked like a dog when you step in the building. I never know what I might be doing. I will sometimes come in to cashier and be put on bagging. There might be too many of us working as a bagger so I will have to work on re-shops for 8hrs. Im expected to know where everything is, but that isnt my strong point.
