Carry out only. The pastry and breakfast sandwiches are good. We tried the ham and cheese croissant, an apple pastry, and raspberry muffin. The raspberry tarts are VERY good! The variety of coffee and iced coffee is appealing and very good. Lunch sandwiches are available. Dont dare open your sack inside or the lady will chastise you. The curt attitude of the lady drags the rating from a 5 to a 3. She should work on her PR to make the customer feel welcome. She gave me the impression she really didnt want to be there.
We stopped here nearly every morning while in Key West. The pastries were delicious! I also had their tomato sandwich a couple times for lunch. It also was yummy.
I have visited Old town bakery in different occasions and I always lover every bit of the experience! They have a variety of delicious freshly baked goods to choose from, it’s always so hard to decide. It seems they really know what they are doing, they have been around for a while. Definitely recommend to check it out for a nice breakfast option! Take out only I believe!
Brought a slice of pie because of all the hype... Terribly let down. Really tart and the crust is soggy. Theres a bit of liquid pooling at the bottom. The whipped cream tastes stale as well, got that refrigerator taste. Went first thing in the morning, so I feel like the pie were leftovers... I would had ranked this better but the hype make it too much of a let down...But chocolate croissant was good.
Ordered Bacon Egg & Cheese Croissant and cappuccino. It was delicious.
Reading all of the other reviews I think we must have just visited on an off day.My sandwich was dry and lacked filling (see photo) but the Key Lime Pie was delicious . The bakery itself is adorable and one member of staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Maybe she needs to train the other person who was working today!
Good selection of pastries. We have not tried lunch but breakfast boritos were very good. Generous with the bacon and sausage. Danish and other pastries were also very tasty. The gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly even though they were extremely busy.
Great fresh bread and baked goods, soups, and sandwiches. Used to make an outstanding potato soup but I cant get them to make it anymore. Too bad because it was absolutely first-rate!
OH MY GOSH!!! I have missed this place because it closes at 3:00 and finally was able to get there today. I bought some pecan rolls that taste like a combo of pecan roll, croissant and baklava. They are so darned delicious that I cannot describe them. The people were very nice and obviously everyone loves the place as most of the selection was sold out. I didnt get there until a few minutes before 2:00. This is a MUST. You will not be disappointed. Im still licking my fingers.
Horrible attitude as soon as we walked in the door. Tried to get through it but they kept it up so we walked out. To be fair, everyone has a bad day once in a while but I didnt want to spend my money with someone that refuses to smile and greet us. The vibe was not welcoming is probably the best way I can put it. I will admit that the food looked great.
Just the key lime pie itself is a winner !! I have tried a few places and i like this the most on the Keys. The filling has a good balance of tardiness and sweetness and thank god not with a meringue top.Its a very popular stop for the food tour and the shop keeper said they are the only place on the island who make the crust with ginger snap.
Good coffee and breakfast sandwiches, but service and communication from owner and staff needs improvement. Not sure if I will return. Too many other coffee shops I can go to and get friendlier service.
Gotta go early or they run out of items. Had the ham and swiss croissant and tomatoe and brie soup, both were excellent. My sister had the Turkey Bacon sandwich, it was huge, but didnt have enough bacon. She said it was still good though. I also really liked my cafe con leche and she loved her chai latte.
Simple but wonderful. Fresh baked goodies to satisfy almost anyone!
Delicious bakery. Definitely try the cheese danish and the key lime pie! Hard to resist all the good things here. Their hours are 7-3 so make sure you plan to get there early!
Received wrong order, no biggy. The owner called to say they would remake..THATS! CUSTOMER SERVICE🤗👍👏. Awesome croissant sandwhich
In & out grabbed a breakfast burrito for me and wife...Like everything in Key West not exactly cheap but wasnt too bad
They ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE….NOTHINGA search for gluten free restaurant / bakeries / sandwiches will bring up this bakery on many different services as well as googleWhen we went in to the bakery Today I specifically asked “do you have gluten free” “No” was the answer. It was not that they carry a few items or only GF on certain days, it was “no”How do so many web searches show this bakery to have GF when it surly does not?Gf is more and more common, as one can see by the ever growing selections in our food stores.I bake gf and make my own bread GF. Less time to prepare than the regular way with wheat. More expensive but ask any Gf person if they would pay more. Of course we would as it’s our health. We cannot digest wheat without major problems.
Bad key lime pie. We went here as the place had 4.7 stars and great reviews on the key lime pie, but it was a big disappointment. The pie was overly tart, which would have been ok if they had more cream on top to cut the tartness. Without enough cream, youre needing to chase the flavor with a drink constantly. The crust was burnt and left a bad aftertaste. My toddler had one bite and then refused anymore. Children dont lie. Avoid this pie.
This was a small little bakery that was beside our hotel. We stopped in and got breakfast on the way back to our hotel it was really surprised how good it was. Its definitely a place to stop at if youre in the area.
We were really excited to go to this place after reading the reviews. It turn to be the worse experience in Key West. From the time we stepped in the attitude started, The girl at the cash register was cold and looked almost bothered we had stepped in…she almost rolled her eyes while we were looking at the board menu.We ordered a BLT and a wrap and she told us to step outside ( in the keys heat in the middle of the day is NOT ideal ) she would have called our name when food was ready. To top it off both of the sandwiches were sooooo sad. No flavor at all. Therefore we got charged more than $20 for two sandwiches that went straight in the trash.I ask myself how this place can hold these type of reviews.
I only had coffee but I wanted everything great selection wonderful people
Tasty bakery items, hot delicious coffee and fast efficient service.
Yummy breakfast.. and didnt had to wait for 20 minutes
Delicious breakfast sandwich. Fresh pastries were fantastic.
Delicious! Go out of your way to get there. There is little to no parking but it is worth going for pastries and coffee or sandwich for lunch.
Excellent bakery. Great coffee. Wonderful brioche. Everything made fresh daily. Friendly Key West service. What more could you want?
Key lime pie was awesome. Well-balanced tangy flavor and creamy texture, and the crust has a spiced element (caramel? Molasses?) I haven’t put my finger on... but my taste buds were very happy!
Blue LT and Italian sandwiches were excellent. The bread was great and I dont think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Key Lime Pie was spot on as well!
I had a breakfast sandwich and friend had a pastry, both were excellent, only problem here is parking a car, so 5 stars if walking or biking to the bakery
The raspberry croissants 🥐🥐 was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 😋😛😛 absolutely love this place
Great place!Food, coffee and people are so nice and good!
The front girl was rude. And cheese on Danish was not fresh.
The coffee was amazing! My husband ordered just black coffee which is normally too bitter for me but I tried it and it had a smooth, bold flavor without any bitterness. I ordered frozen coffee and it was amazing! It had a rich, bold coffee flavor and was sweet enough without being overly sweet. The perfect coffee! The food was delicious, the fresh pastries were delicious and the breakfast burrito was outstanding!Highly recommend this baker for breakfast on Key West!
A good spot to stop and get a little morning snack
Delicious peach cobbler danish and surprisingly really delicious coffee with cream, it was perfect. Really good choice, this place. I’ll be back tomorrow morning!
Way overrated. We ordered an apple cinnamon scone, a ham and cheese croissant, a sticky bun, and we got a chunk of the Gouda and manchengo cheeses. The scone was very stale and dry. The croissant was hard and tasted old. The cheese tasted so freezer burnt that I had to spit it out. The only reason why this place got two stars is because the sticky bun was edible. Skip the long line and go to Publix bakery, which is probably 1 star better.
Nice place good breakfast. Cant say much more, first time there.
Love the pain au Chocolat!
Key Lime PieGuided by the reviews, we stopped by this bakery to try their version of the Key Lime Pie. This one has a gingersnap crust which is a great contrast to the tart, sweet Key Lime Pie filling and the coffee was pretty good too. The prices at this bakery are very reasonable and the other bakery items looked really good too!!
Great take away breakfast, fresh and tasty..breakfast burrito better than my all time favorite McDonalds sausage egg Mc Muffin
Almost croissants-to die for. Da bomb!
On a rainy noon-time, desperately looking to have a quick good meal and key lime pie, I stumbled upon Old Town Bakery. Almost went somewhere nearer to the cinema but the crowds on the streets and the insane parking drove me away. Here, I could find street parking within a block or two, it was a main drag but not insane. And the food...OMG the food. They have soup and some sandwich offerings, I had a chickpea and cucumber salad. Then I dove into their specialty baked goods. Definitely baked in house and delightful. Lastly was the key lime pie. I wouldnt have missed this for the world and I had to save every tart-sweet bite. I will need to remember this bakery for future visits.
Amazing place - America you need more places like this. You guys even have ORANGINA ❤️
Amazing coffee, espresso and morning pastries all fresh made. Great way to start the day
Selection was a bit limited, but the food and service were great!
Easy three or four. What a nice case of interesting bakery delicacies. And the black coffee was good enough for me though quite strong. Perfect, really, for adding whatever all else.In one door out the next. Thats the flow here, not too covid confusing.Looks to be an interesting prospect for lunch or fulfilling emergency take away charcuterie. Nice and affordable cheese assortment.Breakfast burrito was unremarkable in a good way, I guess, liked em enough.
We picked this place based on the good reviews, but we didn’t like the breakfast burrito nor the breakfast sandwich. Very greasy and expensive for the small size. Coffee was good.
Everything here is to die for! All baked goods are made on the premises. I also love their selection of meats and cheeses. You just cant go wrong.
We stopped here to get sandwiches on the way to a snorkeling trip. We got the TB and J sandwich and two different croissants. Enjoyed everything we ate. Go early, they only make a certain number of pastries each day. The almond was my favorite. If you like marzipan, try it. You wont be dissatisfied.
My husband and I were in Key West for 4 days and had breakfast here every single day. Iced Coffee is incredible and their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. We recommend getting a coffee and a sandwich, heading the two blocks down to the dock in the morning and having breakfast. Grab a sweet treat to take with you to the beach too!
Great key-lime pie. However, the server had a poor and bad attitude
Quick and croissants were excellent
Bakery is awesome even though I enjoyed a breakfast burrito
The breads this place churns out are fantastic. Get there early before they are all gone. Be sure to check out their bread schedule to see what they are baking that day.
Amazing pastries, great customer service, and a special thabk you for providing me with my morning Mochas during my stay because my hotel didnt have a coffee pot. You were a life saver 🤙
Loved it. Coffee is good and the food is too...keep calm the wait is worth the walk.
Awesome place for breakfast. There was a line out the door, which tells the story of the popularity.
Nice little bakery
Fantastic food, especially loved the Blue LT! and peach danish
Great food.
Yes! There is plenty of time to get a breakfast sandwich or Pastries (or both) and still make the two block walk to the Yankee Freedom ferry to the Dry Tortugas. The sticky buns and coffee are amazing.
Brownies were awesome, service could have been a little more patient.
I love there fresh home made breads. Some of there treats are fantastic. No donuts? Finally got back to the bakery now that we’re in phase 2 . Picked up some four grain bread!Fantastic! Ate most of it on my return home. Now I’ll have to go back! Yea!!!
Excellent bakery, I would have breakfast there every day.
Great key lime pie
Love the Chai Tea. One of the best Ive had.
Wonderful! Had a slice of their Key Lime pie as a recommendation, wonderful with their gingersnaps crust! Awesome!
Good coffee. Fresh croissants
The best sandwiches in the Keys.
Very good breakfast, bakery and cuban coffee.
Fab! The baguette was perfect, the croissants like butter and the coffee was great!
Top notch baked goods and great coffee.
Definitely a lovely addition to your trip, dont stop at just pastries either, they have amazing sandwiches!🥪 Keep on rockin ☮
This is a must go for awesome coffee, sandwiches and pastries! Delicious!
Best Key Lime Pie and Coffee EVER!!!!Insane fresh, homemade,
Definitely a must visit. We got some breakfast burritos and brioche which were both great. I dont know about other locations for key lime pie but the slice here was fantastic. In general, great food at a good price. Also, the location is not far from the boat docks which is a great place to enjoy the food.
Excellent place to get breakfast and coffee ☕
Great food. They were out of cinnamon rolls, twists, and sticky buns at 8:15. Italian sandwich on rye was delicious.
Oh the baguettes were perfect! Well be back for more! Thank you!
We were in Key West for 4 days and although we had plans to try different spots for breakfast, we ended up back at the Old Town Bakery 3 times. Everything we tried was amazing! Pastries are light and flaky (hard not to get it all over yourself) and priced right compared to other places in KW! Great little spot - a must visit when in KW!
Yum!! 4 people at a time right now so probably go early!! The omelet was incredible and so were croissants!
Love this place! Their key lime pie is the best in Key West, in my opinion. The gingersnap crust pairs perfectly with the tartness of the lime. Great little coffee shop as well. Every time I stay at Eden House, I go to the Old Town Bakery for my breakfast. Even just writing this review makes me want to go back. Yum!
Very nice clean good baked goods
Excellent pastries. Great coffee.
Perfect spot to grab a coffee and a pastry before hitting the road.
Very good pastries etc!
Very good baked goods. tasty treats.
Very good, good service
Ive been ordering lunch from here during COVID-19 and theyre always super safe when delivering. Also, the food is always delicious and amazing. Love their sticky buns and their multigrain bread especially 😍
Best coffee and breakfast sandwiches around. Friendly staff
