I happened to find Brass Customs on a tint shop recommendation when I was trying to fix the camber on my wife’s Yukon XL back in 2015 when we PCSed to Fort Hood. Steve knew what was required to correct the camber, and that fix has saved us thousands on tires. They have also changed various parts on the suspension and stripped and tinted the entire Yukon XL with ceramic tint for probably the best price on this planet. Perfect camber, beautiful stance, and bubble-free tint. (Pic 1, 2)When I wanted to do some custom work on my Hybrid Accord, I knew I would take it to Brass Customs. The first project on the Accord was wheel and tires and a drop. I told Steve that I wanted 19” wheels, but Steve asked me to consider either 18” or 20” wheels because those size tires cost cheaper than 19” tires; what average person would have thought about that. So I ended up going 20” because I heard that bigger is better in Texas, LOL. (Pic 3, 4) The next project was a simple sound system. We ended up replacing the mids in the front door, including the tweeter, the mids in the back, getting rid of the OEM sub, an AXXESS DSP, 12” P3, and a P1000X5. We decided that Rockford Fosgate was the brand that matched the amount I wanted to spend. Steve tuned it, and the sound quality is beautiful, and the install was super clean. (Pic 5) Less than a year after Steve installed the Eibachs, I decided to go with air. See the remaining pictures for the results.I appreciate that the owners’ priorities are their customers and the quality of their shop’s work. Steve didn’t let me take any “shortcuts” with any of the installs, which is what any other shop would have probably done to take my money. If you want it done correctly, I implore you to let Steve take care of your vehicle. But, if you don’t care about quality, take it anywhere but Brass Customs.FYI: He also powder-coated my air tanks for the air suspension (with a theme consistent with a hybrid car) and my brakes.

Steve is amazing and beyond knowledgeable !!!! Steve put an air ride suspension on my Ford Fusion to fix a botched coilovers install and I love it . Rides amazing smooth and great price for a custom kit and not a premise bolt on.. he was even able to put it all under the vehicle to save me trunk space! Any audio air ride light kits pretty much anything you want done go to these guys and they will do the job right for the right price!

Went here to see what they could do for me with my car. Walked immediately felt in comfortable. Wasn’t greeted at all, just people staring at me like “ what do you want “ explained what I was trying to do and instantly was shut down. Just picked up my Cadillac Escalade from Brass Customs in killeen. Steve did an excellent job with the ceramic tint all the way around. His attention to detail is tip notch. I appreciate his work and if you care about your vehicle you will head down here too.

AVOID.Tries to push unnecessary and overly expensive assessories. God forbid if you just want an installation.Rude and condescending attitude fresh from the owner. If you dont spend top dollar the door is behind you.

I have brought my truck and personal car here many times! Let me tell you BOTH owners are very sweet, they have the cutest dog ever!!!!! The owner and workers are easy going very polite to talk to, know what they are doing and very knowledgeable, but most of all real not going to steer you in the wrong direction. Also if there is anything you would like corrected or modified they are glady to help and they are not afriad of there own mistakes to correct them. all in all they are awesome would recommend them to anyone best in town.

I’ve been hesitant to write this but now that I’ve had my install done and have done research I can say that we were given a low end radio (probably the dealers fault - not this guy). But when I went in to talk to Steve, I too was talked down to, no customer service skills at all.I don’t like that my 2016 Jetta went from having a factory Bluetooth to having an exterior microphone and not being able to use my phone switches on my steering wheel. I also do not have use of my usb plugs. I also had to have the VW dealership go behind Steve and tie up ALL the loose wiring from the XM radio he just left dangling around. Instead of Steve being helpful he just completely shut me down and said deal with it. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Didn’t even make it to the shop. Called over the phone for a rough estimate to see what I was working with and couldn’t get an answer. Right after I asked “Can I get a rough estimate on how much it would be to paint a wide body kit for my 2019 Dodge Charger?” I get “No sir I can’t over the phone” in a very rude and condescending manner. As if this shop that’s worked on probably hundreds of people’s cars and done tons of painting had no idea how much it would cost to paint some fenders absolutely ridiculous

Super clean install at a great price.

Brought my Freightliner in for a sound system which needed a custom box built to fit under my bunk which came out much better than I had visioned. Also, they replaced all my factory speakers (4) and installed a LED light kit to illuminate the exterior (under cab). A month or so later I brought the truck back in so they can customize a panel to house my trucks GPS. If you want custom great work then go with Brass Customs. The crew here went above and beyond my expectations.

They do nice work but i didnt come to get criticized on what I wanted on MY car. Literally talk to me like i was stupid like idk what Im buying just because people arent mechanics doesnt mean we dont know what were talking about i recommend the install shop wayyyyy more friendly with arguably better results

This shop should be everyones go to. Steve did a light install for my wifes Christmas surprise 2017 Chevy Impala. He even opened the shop on a Sunday so I could pick up the car. Quick and very professional. I claim this shop now as the best in Killeen. Go here first before you try to go anywhere else.

Wanted to start off by saying great installation but very poor customer service. The way they talk to you is very disrespectful. Just talked down about the stuff I bought and saying how its garbage. I didnt come for the criticism.

Terrible costumer service. First impressions are lasting and my experience was horrible. I went in to ask a simple question about a part I was going to purchase there but before I got a chance to I was cut off and spoken to like a child. One should not make assumptions and at least let the other speak before taking a rude and arrogant approach. Turned around and walked out, will not be back. This guy lacks the basic tact and communication skills required by the customer service industry. I was actually intending to have three other vehicles upgraded at this shop. Their loss....Went around the corner to the Install Shop on Rancier and had a complete different experience. Cortez was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. (Highly recommend these guys)

I went to these guys to get a window tinted and was fully prepared to pay what they were asking but they referred me to a shop just down the street. They lost a sale but helped me out anyways. When I need another auto custom job I will return to these nice guys.

Save your time and money! I swear I’ve gone through about 3 HID kits with these guys! The BIG kicker was paying 150 for a kit, and then having to come back not even two weeks later for him to tell me my ballasts were out on a “supposedly” brand new kit. Each time I went they recommended either a new kit or gave me mix match ballasts, which were installed sloppily by the way. I continuously went back because I felt “they” should fix the half a*s job they did. I finally gave up and stopped giving them the benefit of the doubt. I could honestly go on and on about these guys but I’ll leave it at that. If you want GREAT work go see Otis at Xtreme Litez, very professional and helpful. I haven’t had to go back since he fixed them about a year ago. Sorry I can’t say the same about brass.

I asked how much would it be to put tints on my car, the lady looked at the car and asked what year is it? I said 2016, she then said itll be almost $200. I politely said ok. And went on about my way. That is ridiculous.Update: January 2018, no thank you Steve, I went back to Saint Louis, Mo for the tint job. Have a blessed day.

Went to another location in town off of Rancier and ABSOLUTELY hated the service I received. Came to Brass Customs and received nothing but Grade A service. I would recommend them to anyone. Exceptional customer service and fixed my rim & tire. Very much pleased!!!!

Usually I avoid central Killeen but Brass seems to be an exception...friendly service and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Very reluctant to help. Seemed like they could care less if I came back or not. So I took my business elsewhere paid more simply because of the customer service I got.

I also had a bad experience here, they installed tint on my car and when called because it wasnt the tint we agreed on the person on the phone was very rude and eventually hung up on me!!! I dont write bad reviews but this was just unbelievable! I have never experienced customer service like this and will never recommend this place to anyone!! I ended up taking it to another tint shop and apparently when they installed my tint the jammed the rubber part of my window down, so know when i bring my window down it doesnt wipe the entire window. Seeing how i bought my car new and the treatment they did to it was upsetting. Theyre plenty of tint stores to go to just not this.

Individual hung up on me after first question called back and was talked down because my son with his own money he worked for bought a speaker box and amp he could afford that was not Rockford or Polk. Steve, his wife and their employee were professional from the beginning. They did an amazing job on my shaved door handles and poppers for my Charger. Id definitely go back to them for more customizations on any of my cars. Great people and service. Id recommend anyone to go there for auto needs. We went to this store expecting an awesome experience, due to all the great reviews. I had purchased my husband some kicker car speakers but got the wrong size. We returned them from the original store of purchase and went to brass customs. We went in and the guy came out of the back and asked us what we needed. I simply said we were comparing prices on kicker car speakers.. and thats all I got to say before he instantly shut me down with I dont sell kickers, walmart does as if kicker isnt worth his time. The brass coustoms website advertises kicker. I was taken aback by his tone, very rude and sneery. I dont know if he was just having a bad day or what. This is the first review Ive ever left on any business, but I simply couldnt get over it. We were looking for a place that could help us and if the service was as good as people claimed, have them put a bigger lift under my avalanche. I will not be going back. Sorry

Checking my 2015 Z71 had it lifted to level front to back did a great job was half the time they said and the price was great unfortunately having to do the same to my 2018 this weekend and know the work and the owners well after the first time and the price has never changed great job guys look forward to seeing you highly recommend

I powder coated my rims and calipers on my vette and came out amazing! he alsi installed some racing seats on my vette and worked his majic on then when no one else could make it work.
