We had previously purchased an eternity diamond ring from Milanj and had a wonderful experience. Although they specialize in diamonds, I gave them a call to see if they could order a gold chain for us. Pejman (PJ) was amazing! He found exactly what we were looking for, gave us an excellent price, and we had it within days. Although this jeweler deals in very expensive diamond pieces, they treat each and every customer like their most important customer. I believe they were amongst the first tenants when KOP Mall opened; they have been in business for a long time and I trust them and their products. I HIGHLY recommend Milanj Diamonds for all jewelry purchases. They offer high quality jewelry with outstanding customer service.
I visited this store roughly one month ago. I was interested in purchasing a engagement ring and was told they were running my credit score . Against my knowledge, they opened a line of credit for a jewelry account using wells fargo. I was NOT informed at the time Milanj was doing so, if I was made aware, I would have refused. Well a fews days later after visiting, I received a credit card in the mail from wells fargo with the notation of Milanj Jewelers on my card. Now my wells fargo account has a credit limit account tied to my banking accounts.
I purchased an engagement ring from Milanj and couldnt be happier! (12/13/20). They custom made the ring out of 14k gold to my fiances exact wants!! The quality and craftsmanship is second to none!! The diamond is fully GIA certified and sparkles like crazy!! We enjoyed the experience so much that we went back for our wedding bands last night (8/6/21). The sales staff was so helpful and again are going to custom make the wedding band for my fiance out of 14k gold!! The staff took the time to show us so many options and really made the experience educational!! The Christmas in July sale going on right now really saved us some money!! Best jeweler around!!

First and foremost I’m just going to say thank goodness I didn’t pay attention to all the negative reviews! I went to this location the first week of August and it was a great experience the owner Mr. Milanj was very professional was no where near pushing gave his honest opinion, allowed me to make whatever decision that I may have wanted to without getting upset/ unprofessional. I honestly left without purchasing anything at that time only because I wanted make sure what I was seeking to purchase was in definite. I did tell him I would return which I did. Oh before I go any further the staff VERY VERY welcoming not once did I feel pressured by them either! Now as for when I return a week ago all I’m going to say is Mr.Milanj went ABOVE AND BEYOND thats all I’m going to say and with that being said! Anyone seeking to purchase jewelry and type please take these negative reviews like a grain of salt. Your always going to see negative but believe me Mr. Milanj and his team is nothing like what these reviews are stating! I would give this place 0 stars but since it’s not an option they get one. My husband and I were in there today looking for a graduation gift and the guy he looked that he was the owner or manager was very rude and refused to show me a ring and said that I didn’t need to see it because my husband couldn’t afford it but he wanted to buy my husband’s Rolex. The person who first started helping us was very nice and I appreciate your help and I feel sorry for you that you have to work with a person like that. I thank you again for your help.

Me and my girlfriend stopped in as we were looking for engagement rings. The young blond woman was very pushy kept pulling out stuff that my girlfriend had no interest in seeing. Then she transferred us over to another woman and that woman asked me how I will be paying and she needs to see my credit card. I told her we are just shopping around at different stores. If you like rude pushy salespeople that dont listen to what your interests are then this is your place to shop. We visited Helzberg Diamonds a week prior where she tried on rings and she saw one she really loved and they sent a handwritten thank-you letter for us stopping in. I know where Ill be buying the ring from just because of that customer service

Do Not buy gift cards from here! They wouldn’t honor my gift card during a sale even though the gift card was paid for in cash. Poor customer service from the manager as well. I had my diamond reset twice because it was coming loose and he had the nerve to ask me what I did for a living as if it was my fault the prongs were poorly made. The second time they reset it much lower and it really took away from the beauty of the diamond. When I asked why it was set lower they denied it, I look at my diamond everyday, I know it was set lower.

I loved the service. I shopped around to about 5 different high end jewelers with a non-high end budget. I first looked at this store with my girlfriend (at the time, now fiancee). We looked up and down the whole store looking at everything. They had the largest selection out of all of the stores that we both liked. Joyce, a great sales-lady at Milanj, worked with use the whole time. She had a great energy to work with and was willing to answer any questions that we had. If she didnt know it off the top of her head, then she went to find it out. She did a great job on informing me further about the types of cuts, clarity, and other aspects of diamonds that Milanj perfected. After getting a sense of my girlfriends taste in rings, I came back just to work with Joyce. She was able to fit everything, the designer band and ring with the exact perfect diamond I wanted into my SMALL, just out of college budget. This store is really great, and I intend on returning. I was replacing my wifes stolen wedding band and engagement ring and Milanj had a great selection of not only rings, but also diamonds. When my wife found the ring she loved, they were able to modify it to accept a different shape diamond. While there, the attention they paid to us and the questions they asked guided us to the perfect ring and now my wife once again has rings which she loves!

Our Milanj experience was rocky in the begging of our journey but improved as it went on. Initially we got a beautiful ring that we assumed was Simon G but once appraised we realized it was not. We soon after contacted the manager at Milanj, David, who was more than willing to help us. Within a few days, he was able to look into our account, help us pick another ring and a completely new stone which was GIA approved and of great quality. Once the ring was made, he quickly shipped it overnight to us. I just received the ring and it is absolutely amazing. The setting, the mounting, the stone. It is just perfect. Bought a white gold bracelet/bangle for my wife for Valentine’s Day. My wife complained that it kept getting caught up on everything she came in contact with. I brought it back to the store, and the brand ambassadors Pejman and George went above and beyond to make sure that my wife was completely satisfied with her bangle; the jeweler did an extraordinary job designing the figure eight clasp in order to keep it closed. Cant say enough good things! I didnt have the best craftsmanship from my original jeweler and Milanj made everything all better! They fixed the prongs, dipped and cleaned my ring and it looks better than the day I got it. Purchasing an engagement ring is stressful, but I have to say that Mr. Milanj and his team made the process extremely simple and reassuring. I didnt feel pressured at all and it was a much more organic experience vs. going to one of the larger chains. Ill be back for the bands for sure. Oh and she said yes!

My wife took her ring in to be cleaned today. Despite this being a non-published/public price for service, they offered to clean it at no cost. This should not distinguish them from most jewelers who do this for free, yet she was still thankful. As an insurance policy against thieves in the industry we had her diamond laser inscripted. Since the diamond left her sight for a couple minutes and due to its sentimental and monetary value we sought to use this service by use of their microscope. When we asked them to read the inscription after the cleaning they refused. When we asked them to use the microscope ourselves to look at the inscription they refused to allow us if not for a $25 charge. The jeweler indicated that they had done us a favor by not charging us a $25 service for the cleaning but was not willing to allow the simple inscription check free of charge. While he equated this to walking into a restaurant and asking for a meal for free, I would equate this to a restaurant offering fries for free but charging $25 for ketchup. My wife has had her ring cleaned for free and has had free use of inscription inspection for years. This was the first time we were held hostage for a read. After reading other customer reviews after the fact I can understand why. While the owner has made several attempts at damage control in his Google Review responses I would ask that he not bother with this one. Your store is a joke in comparison to the industry standard. The idea that customer service and satisfaction is paramount at your store, as indicated in one of your responses to another customer complaint, is clearly not true. Id suggest you read management books to better appreciate your craft, but Im sure that would be lost on you given the history of complaints and persistently customer-unfriendly atmosphere. Ill look forward to seeing a Starbucks where you used to be the next time Im there, despite the fact that one is already 30 feet away.

The owner, who introduced himself as Milanj chose to belittle my wife when she came in to have the center stone of her engagement ring placed into a new setting that we spend nearly $3000 at Milanj Jewelers. The center stone had been purchased nearly a decade ago at another reputable jewels and has sentimental value. There was no need for the store owner to comment on his opinion of the quality of the stone or the price we paid for it. If the owner is the representative of the values the business espouses- Im deeply disappointed. Well take our future business elsewhere.

If looking for an engagement ring, RUN far away from Milanj. I see all these great reviews about service, which I agree, they were certainly extra nice when selling you their junk. I suggest you get the quality of the diamond checked by a respected jeweler.They are deceitful and misrepresent the quality of their diamonds so that they can charge more. Do not trust anything, not even the so-called certifications. A year after buying the ring another jeweler was adjusting the setting and noticed multiple defect in the diamond that arent listed on the certification. When confronted, they get hostile and threaten to use their security/bouncer to kick customers out. Cant believe this place is still in business, look around and ask around, theyve done this to many people.
The staff was extremely rude. I was looking for wedding bands and they just kept pushing items i did not want. Diamonds they have displayed are not GIA certified. Probably blood diamonds judging from the cast of characters working there. When i said i would go to another jewler they snickered at me while i left the shop. Avoid them at all costs. They are terrible.

I have always had a Wonderful experience here. I am really shocked at some of the reviews I read. I do not think that they were ever pushy. I mean, they are trying to make a sale. I thought the owner at least I think it was, did us a big Favor. The same ring at Tiffanys was twice the price and the diamonds did NOt look the same. So, my experience was a very Happy one and I Would def recommend going there.

Skip this place unless you need a laugh. The owner of this multi-national diamond dealer is flat out rude. He insulted me immediately by implying that I had never seen diamonds similar in quality to what he is offering, he then tried to rush me into a $18,000 purchase saying that they closed in 6 minutes and he would not honor the $18,000 deal the following day allowing us time to discuss his offer privately and determine if we felt comfortable doing business with a very pushy company. When I mentioned returning the next day he said he never makes offers like this and that he would not accept $18,000 in cash the following day because $18,000 in cash is nothing to him. This guy made us laugh but wasnt good for much more than that - I walked in with thousands in cash on me prepared to put money down on the right item and walked out thinking this guy must out of his mind to treat people that way. Thankfully GIA diamonds are available from lots of dealers all over the place so you can just skip this guy and get treated with respect somewhere else.

On a saturday we took my wifes ring for resize and re-finish. They promised 1 hour it would be ready and they came through with their promise. Very happy with the service! This shop does quality work and you can not bargain shop that.
Please be very aware of the return policy at this store. They do not make it very well known. You sign your credit card slip and then they staple that to a piece of paper that says store credit only. They didnt make that apparent while showing me the necklace or while signing the credit card slip. Anything you buy here is exchange/store credit only. While I can understand them possibly charging a restocking type fee to recuperate their credit card processing fee, I do not feel it is a fair policy to only give store credit. I expressed my concerns that it is not properly mentioned during the purchase process and they of course disagreed. They do have a frame with the policy but it is only posted on one wall and it is not something most would look at. It happened to be on the opposite wall of my purchase. I even expressed the that sales woman said she would work with me if my wife didnt like it. I guess that is as clear as they get for no exchange. Work with me means if I need to return it I can get my money back. I feel they could have made this situation right if they wanted to. It is the last purchase I will be making there. They have ruined my day and are now holding my money hostage for another piece of jewelry which at this point I dont want. My wife didnt like the piece I picked out and now I get to suffer the consequences.Aside from my poor recent experience, I have had another previous poor experience. Be careful if you ever have them make a custom piece of jewelry. We submitted our request well within their suggested window to meet our wedding date. They assured us the piece would be amazing. The first attempt was not what we wanted and barely made its arrival the week before our wedding. I had to chase them down for updates the whole way. They would say they would call and would not. They did make the situation right by eventually getting us the wedding band we were hoping for but it finally arrived 4-6 months after our wedding date. The final band was exceptional, so I guess if you dont mind a huge hassle and a long timeline they may work for you.Our first experience was great for the purchase of my wifes engagement ring. They took great care of us, which brought us back for the wedding band. They really do have some really nice rings. I wish I had decided to buy something similar somewhere else. It might have saved me some time and money.

Let me tell you guys something... I walked into the KOP mall to buy a pair of sneakers for my partner and I came out with an engagement ring instead! Thats how great they were at Milanj. PJ was so knowledgeable in diamonds and showed me a ring that was exactly what I was looking for. I didnt have any plans to look/buy a ring for the next 5-6 months... but with their 12 months of free interest... how could I pass that up! It was priced so well that whether I pay for it now or for it in 7 months, at least I know Ive purchased it at a price that Im comfortable with. Oh man! And forget Mr. Milanj himself! Just to make my experience more serendipitous, he was there at his store that night I was there. I told him my story and it felt like I knew him and PJ for years. I felt so comfortable with the whole process... despite the $$. Mr. Milanj is not just a business owner or a jeweler... hes a man that cares about the purpose of his products. He knows these diamonds are a sign of love and commitment. Mr. Milanj even gave me my whole proposal idea! I wont share because I love it so much and want it to feel like my own.Dont worry PJ and Mr. Milanj! Youll get that video!! Very rude customer service a gentleman name that supposedly is the store manager name ELLIE KISER; was beyond arrogant and rude. Made me feel unwelcomed to say the least.I could afford near half of the items in the store but he smirked & laughed when I questioned him about diamonds. Stating I knew nothing regarding cuts or angles.Never will I step inside of that store again. I went upstairs to Tiffany and purchased a ring for 7900$ that was originally 14000Ellie better change his attitude before he loses his store.

It will be a year this January that I purchased my one of a kind Simong engagement ring. To make a long story short, the gentleman is long gone from my life which is a blessing. However, since I paid for my ring, (lol) I wear it with great pride everyday. I am back with my husband of 20 yrs and he purchased a matching eternity band at Milanj to just complete the most stunning wedding set of my dreams. I cant speak highly enough of Ellie, Gerry, David and last but not least the special bond that was made between Joe and I. His energy, spirituality, and love for others extends past business, its family. I plan to visit them this season, and would never imagine doing business elsewhere. Mr Cheng master craftsman is just that, when he works on a piece its perfection and never a problem. I cant speak highly enough of the store and professional staff. Funny little side note, they all picked up on the very negative energy of the gentleman at the time. Yes, they are that good! I must have been blinded by the Simong! God bless all of you and family. These people are crooks, and are INCREDIBLY rude. I wholeheartedly agree with the negative comments mentioned here and IMPLORE potential buyers to refer to their Better Business Bureau F rating before considering making any major purchases from Milanj.
(This review is a re-post from my yelp review of this jeweler, slightly edited not to exceed character limit) I cannot believe how I was treated in that phone conversation with the store manager Mr. David M. just now. I rarely write reviews because they are personal experiences and they could be misleading, but I HAD to write something this time, perhaps to prevent from someone else having this experience.My husband and I went into the store in August to purchase a low profile, white-gold, 1.4 ct diamond eternity ring made by Milanj (store brand). They said they would need to order it from their LA office in my size, and that was fine. I wanted a 2-mm low profile if that was possible, but the ring ultimately didnt come out that way and had the same height (2.3mm) as the stock ring they had in the store, so basically no customization was done on the ring other than having a specific range of the diamond grade (VS quality). After a month of wait, we didnt hear anything from them (they told us that theyll call us when its ready) so we called them to find out that the ring was ready for viewing/shipment. We opted to go into the store to see it first.There were two problems with the ring. (1) From the top view of the ring, the prongs of the rings were misaligned (2) When you hold the ring sideways, the diamonds were set in a way that the tables of the diamonds basically assume a zig-zag shape. Throughout the conversation at the store, Lily, the sales person for our ring, was being very defensive about this situation and told me that it could happen because it is hand-made, etc, but ultimately she and Ellie, the sales manager, acknowledged these two problems and told me that theyll do everything to fix this situation, make sure to let us know every step of the way and tell us exactly whats going to happen to the ring BEFORE they do anything.Well, two weeks past, nothing from Lily or Ellie. So I texted Lily today and asked what happened, and she responded that the ring is done. I was dumbfounded at this point because I thought I was going to be informed of what was going on. So I politely asked how they fixed the ring, and her response was any further questions, please feel free to speak with David M****, our business Manager.So I called him. I introduced myself and what the situation was, and his first response was, The ring was magnificent. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the ring, but we did look into those problems you pointed out and we fixed them. First of all, if nothing was wrong with the ring, then there should be nothing to be fixed, but he just acknowledged that there WAS something fixed, so something WAS wrong! The whole time we were talking, I wasnt allowed to finish my sentence because he cut me off every time I asked a question.I asked who fixed the ring because I requested Ellie to send the ring back to LA office where it was made and NOT get fixed by the diamond setter on premise, and this is because the on-premise setter has a history of setting my engagement ring and done a bad job (we went back to the store twice to get it fixed and hence, my not-so-pleasant experience with Milanj the first time.) Davids response to this question was WE fixed it. I was like, No no no, I know YOU guys as Milanj did (duh?), but WHO actually did the job of fixing the ring?. Then he raised his voice and said, WE fixed it! He talked to me as if I was a 3-yr old, but I politely asked again, and tried to explain why I was asking this question, but for the third time, he cut me off and repeated his response. At one point of our conversation, I even asked him why he sounds so adverse to me when Im just trying to figure out what happened, which he simply denied it. His extreme defensiveness and condescending tone was very insulting.Im going into the store tomorrow to check out the ring, but at this point, the memory of making this ring and the customer service I got was horrifying enough to never go back to this store. I hope I saved at least someones nightmare by writing this review.
My husband and I went to Milanj Diamonds and purchased a beautiful diamond eternity ring to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Everyone in the store was very accommodating and could not do enough to make us happy. Since I have a strong personality, and generally am very apprehensive when dealing with sales people, (especially jewelers, since I was used to going to a family jeweler until he passed away a few years ago). We ended up meeting with the CEO, Jalil Bami. He and I hit it off right away. I love him! He gave us an awesome price on the ring and a bottle of champagne when we left the store! It was a special order and he delivered exactly what he promised. You cannot ask for more than that! In my opinion, he is a man of his word and very honest. I LOVE MY RING!!!!! I noticed some bad reviews for Milanj Diamonds, but I have to say that I would definitely go back there and purchase jewelry for many years to come!P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JALIL!!! xoxo
Went in this store with my gf. we were browsing engagement rings. Its definitely getting to be that time. Anyway... we initially met with a sales associate who seemed ok as far as sales people go. After some questions and some more browsing... the owner came out from the back. his name is J. He chatted us both up. Seemed very friendly and unpretentious. My gf is not materialistic at all. I could wrap tinfoil around her finger and she would wear it with pride. I asked her to pik out some she liked and she picked one. True to form.. she has a knack for picking out the most expensive of everything LOL. She knows nothing of jewelry... so this was just funny. The ring was 99k. It was beautiful... as was all the jewelry at Milanj. Out of nowhere J comes over and begins talking with us some more. Tells us what great people we were and so on, and how friendly and nice we are. Then says I will sell you the ring for (if I recall correctly 49k) That exact number might be off by a few thousand, but it was right around there. He guaranteed that price for 90 days. Well on the surface it seemed great, but the more I thought about it the more I began to question it. How do you knock roughly 50% off the price on a whim like that. So I did some research and found out the mark up on jewelry can be up to 600%. So even at 49k he was still making a pile of money. Now this is al well in good. People do not go into business to give stuff away for free. Thats fine. The problem was when I returned. I asked to see the ring again and he came out to talk to me... this time the discount was significantly less. So much so that I asked are you kidding? He said no and then tried to sell me on the idea that the price he just quoted me was a great price. When I reminded him of the original quote he gave me he said he never would have offered that ring at that price, and defended the new price. Pretty much made a mockery of what I was claiming. Fortunately the salesman that was there the original night when the owner made the offer happened to be standing right there. I turned to him...(now I am pissed) and called out the salesman. I said you were standing right there... tell him. he turned white as a ghost. I said better yet... go check the emails we exchanged. (I had emailed the sales guy asking questions about how he could offer the ring at such a drastically reduced price. At which point he regurgitated the same speech the owner gave me on my original visit.) So not only did I have the salesman back me up, but I had it in writing too. The owner agreed on his original quote, but at that point the damage was done. I was at a point in my mind where if I was lied to on more time,or someone else tried to make a fool of me I was going to hurt one of them. So I left. This review is 1000% accurate and factual! This is what I incurred at Milanj Diamonds! UPDATE UPDATE UPDATEToday I received a threatening letter from the owner of Milanj in response to my google review. Claiming the facts of my review are false, and that I have 5 days to retract or remove my review! Folks... I have the entire email exchange between myself an Gerry from Milanj. In this exchange Gerry explains how J was able to offer me the ring at the drastically reduced price. J... the owner gave me his personal contact info on my original visit. Inquired about personal training and advice about getting in better shape. Told me that he could tell we were good hearted people because I offered him some advice. This was also part of the reason he extended such a drastic discount! (at least thats what he claimed the first night we were at Milanj) As I stated earlier when i returned to inquire further about the ring... the huge discount was gone as he claimed he had no recollection of making that offer, and he would never sell the ring that cheap. Only when confronted by the emails did he begrudgingly give in. I have printed out my emails Mr. Bami. I love a good fight.
STAY AWAY!!! MILANJ DIAMONDS ENGAGES IN DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!My girlfriend and I were looking (and I stress, we were only LOOKING) at engagement rings at Milanj. The salesperson was incredibly pushy and, at times, downright rude. Despite being told that we absolutely were not going to make a purchase on the spot, he insisted that we at least consider our options. He basically kept trying to work a deal.The salesperson insisted that I should at least see what kind of financing I might qualify for in the event that I may make a future purchase. This seemed reasonable to me, so I authorized what I thought was only a soft inquiry into my credit history. I asked the salesperson MULTIPLE times to clarify what exactly he would be doing when he said he was going to run some numbers. He stated that he was NOT processing an application for a retail line of credit and that he was only determining if I would qualify for financing.Fast forward to a few weeks after our visit to Milanj, and now I have received a Milanj credit card in the mail, issued by Wells Fargo, with a retail line of credit with a $6,200 limit! I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS!!! MILANJ DIAMONDS OPENED THIS LINE OF CREDIT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!I immediately called and closed the account, but the damage has been done. The hard inquiry into my credit history has cost me points off my credit score. The closing of the account has cost me points off my credit score. My girlfriend and I are at a point in our lives where we are ready for marriage and settling into a home. Every point that has come off my credit score will be held against me when it comes time to apply for a mortgage loan.Milanj Diamonds has, effectively, hurt me financially for YEARS to come. And when I called to speak to the manager, he was dismissive and rude, claiming that his people would never do such a thing. He, in essence, called me a liar!NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH MILANJ DIAMONDS. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY!!!I have honestly never been more disgusted with a place of business in all my life.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MILANJThe first bad experience with Milanj was when they ordered my wedding band a 1/2 size too large. This wasnt such a big problem since my wedding was 2 months away. I took it back to the store, and they said they would reorder it and it should be back in two weeks. After two weeks I called in, spoke with a representative (ill withhold the name) and he said it should be here in a few days. At the end of that week, still no ring, no communication either. after six weeks and several calls I had lost it. I called up, demanded to speak with a manager and demanded resolution. Interestingly enough, after getting angry with them, I had the ring back a few days later.Fast forward to the wedding day. The ring was still a bit too big. Either I lost weight or my hands were swollen when I ordered a 7.5. I once again went back to Milanj and requested a replacement. Once again, two weeks was the expectation that i would receive it back. Two weeks later however, I receive a hand written, US mailed letter. No phone calls, no emails, no fax....a handwritten US SNAIL MAIL letter. This letter indicated that I needed to call them to pay $50 for shipping since it has been resized 3 times? Never in my history with Milanj had I been informed about a charge for mailing my ring out. The ring has only been resized once, not three times, and it was resized because of their own error.There was no apology for the communication method being so poor, no apology for not informing the customer of the correct terms of service. Just a demand for money. To add injury to insult, my ring (having been dropped off two weeks prior) was still at Milanj. The expectation of getting it back in two weeks was obviously not going to be fulfilled. Again, no apology for this.For a luxury brand, their customer service is amongst the worst I have ever encountered. I have received better service from Walmart. Going forward, they have lost my business, and I will shop with companies that value their customers not their customers money. By the way, upon a manager hearing this threat, his answer was, im sorry you feel this way.
Dont waste your time at Milanj. The customer service is beyond rude and unacceptable. I would never trust them in ordering our wedding bands. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
Horrible place to work horrible place to shop, the owner of this business is HR,payroll,manager he is one person with every position a business needs. What’s funny is that he actually responds to these reviews and pretends to be HR. Indians what do you expect so damn cheap.
