I am appalled at the customer service in this store. I went in today asking to see if they could look up in their inventory to see if they had something in stock. The woman just kept repeating whatever we have is out. Now I work in retail and I definitely understand that. But what I was asking is if she would be able to type in what I was looking for to see if they carried it in the store. Like in my store we have iPods that we carry around and whenever a customer asks if we have something we politely look for them. This is what I was looking for. Not a hey do you have any in the back. Just do you have any in the store. Just very dissatisfied with my interaction here today! Will not be going back. Only gave one star because I had to. Would have given 0.

Good craft supplies.They always seem to be a little under-staffed. Expect to wait a bit if you have questions or are in line to purchase things. The personnel, themselves, are always kind and helpful.

I witnessed an employee in fabrics screaming making a scene at a customer over a bathroom key. It turned me right off. The woman getting screamed at looked confused. After that scene I will not go back. This kind of behavior should be brought to the attention of corporate. I don’t know if the lady getting screamed at already took care of it on her own, but I’m here to say that I witnessed it, and it looked BAD and was not warranted. And FYI sometimes in a business whether it be a store, a restaurant, or wherever, for another customer to witness that kind of behavior from an employee - that’s all it takes. Anyone who has an attitude and lashed out at someone like that should not be working in the store.

I went from paltry choices at walmart to too many choices here. I appreciate that .Well staffed too and service was good. My only issue was there is a line for the cloth cutting table but they did a poor job of making it clear where customers should line up. Some guide ropes or something would fix that easily.

The people at the Joanne Fabric in Ulster are very knowledgeable and super helpful. I love this store.

I needed outdoor table cloth. Found it. They cut the fabric. And it worked great. I WAS AMAZED AT THE PRICE.WHAT A BARGAIN...

This was my 1st time ever in this store. I went in 2 purchase 2 zippers & got assistance rite away & was able 2 buy exactly what I wanted & needed 4 a very low price. I recommend n e 1 to go here 4 Arts, crafts, & all types of decorations.

Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Store is laid out well and well stocked. Always fun to see new craft ideas. LOTS of fabrics.

Not enough Art supplies! But it is my go to for crafting. Fast and friendly service. Some great seasonal sales.

Went here yesterday and the floor help was perfect, very kind employees willing to help you find what you need. On the other end, the register was packed with only one cashier. I understand it was busy, and I’ve worked retail 3+ years under high volume dozens of times(worse than what she was dealing with), and in my working experience, that was no way to treat paying customers. Myself and the people I was with were treated very poorly. She was an elderly woman who had a bitter attitude and was very rude towards us. I have only gone here a handful of times, as this Joanns is much larger than my local store, but it is not an experience making you want to come back. The two stars are for the hard working, helpful employees on the floor. Service at the register deserved no stars. This woman needs to be talked to, because even under high volume, you need to treat the customers as you would like to be treated. You want them to leave happy so that they will come back to give your store more service, not the opposite.

We lost our local store in Newburgh many years ago so Poughkeepsie it is. I love this place for crafting supplies. They always offer a coupon and have the latest styles in products here.Very nice and helpful Staff too !

There arent many places to buy fabric and notions around here. The associate cutting fabric was efficient. The cashier makes me think about going to Poughkeepsie next time. Also, they didnt have any bags, I was forced to carry my purchase in my arms. It would have been nice to know BEFORE they took my money.

They didnt have what I was looking for, but had a cornucopia of other interesting things that caught my attention and inspired me to imaginative heights.

Good store!

Lots of fabric but most of it is synthetic. Staff are friendly and helpful, but there are never enough of them scheduled, so plan on waiting. Long. One time I was in there waiting for fabric to be cut and there was only one poor woman running back and forth from the cutting station to the register. Not sure if its poor management or what but it makes it hard for those well intentioned staff to deliver good customer service.

My 8th grader had a sewing project to buy materials for and the woman on staff was very helpful answering all of our questions and getting us all set up

Ive shopped at this Jo-Anns for around 20 years. The staff have always been helpful and informative. Pricing is reasonable in most items. Over the years it feels like Ive found less of the fabrics I need in the store as the mix has changed. It is a subtle shift and I am not the every day customer so I understand, but I dont shop here as often as I did ten years ago for my needs. There is a lot of variety here and I do see a lot of novel items.

Got a great deal on a discontinued fabric. 50% off plus additional 25% discount. Passed it up at their Poughkeepsie location but double checked in their Kingston location. They quoted the wrong price in Poughkeepsie.

Good place to get crafts and fabric but you need about 5 or 6 coupon so it can be affordable.

Its a pretty good fabric and craft store.

You never know when you need something crafty and this is one of the best places to go the people there are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Joannes is the best center for anyone who sews and is decent for crafts and is moderately adequate for jewelry supplies and beads. Beads and jewelry supplies are almost totally made of materials that are not real or natural semi-precious beads andstones. Joanne is totally inadequate for art supplies. Doesnt usually give a seniors discount but has plenty of coupons but almost always on regular priced items, only occasionally on sale items and pretty much never on doorbuster sales.

Its how Joanns always is. Theyre deff being short staffed so theres often someone complaining about having to wait a few extra seconds but thats more on them than it is the employees. Wish the super smelly pinecones were outside tho.

This is second time i was in the store and they basically threw me out so they could close instead of giving me a few minuts to get my purchase and every time i go there i leave empty handed they never have what i need i wanted to purchase 5 yards of mat but they told me i had to leave and couldnt make my purchasei had already been in and looking Rude.

BUYER BEWARE OF GIVING THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OR ASSUMING THEY WILL PROCESS YOUR ORDER AS REQUESTED. Sadly, the WORST customer service and website I have even experienced. I did a large order on-line in the amount of $888 I was charged $1,019.00 X 2, MY ORDER WAS NEVER PROCESSED MY FUNDS WERE LOCKED UP FOR THREE DAYS AND I WAS HUMILIATED ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON WHEN I COULD NOT PAY FOR MY DINNER, GAS for my vehicle and I was grounded on my weekend off because I chose to give this company $800 of my hard earned money. I have called and emailed countless times, given a $25.00 gift card and I finally gave up waiting for the customer service representative to respond to me. I ordered my Fleece over the phone and it was STILL incorrect. I was not sent what I ordered and I am now on hold for 26.(hold)++ minutes and counting …. its a shame really that there are not other fabric stores to order my product from. Its a real shame that they are not held responsible for taking money that doesnt belong to them, messing up orders, not returning calls, putting small mom an pop shops out of business and most likely making large profits each year... I was just told they did not have the fleece I ordered so they just sent me what they had ALTHOUGH it is still be advertised on their website.

They have standard fabric choices and supples. Nothing spectacular. Staff are helpful, but some seriously grumpy customers pass through on a regular basis. Thats what makes me avoid shopping there....

Waited at the front of the store to check out. Rang the service bell twice. Waited 10 minutes and still no one came. Placed my items on the front counter and walked out.
