I went back and forth over 3 or 4 stars. So really I would give Kings a 3.5 stars. I have been eating there for years. No place is perfect and Kings has had a few stumbles with us over the years. But minor issues that didnt keep us away.The employees have almost always been good. The food is usually good. But a little pricey. Not overly expensive, but by no means inexpensive. It is a fairly large diner, but still small enough to not feel overwhelmed . It can get a little noisy when busy. A decent place to eat.Kings is actually my close second choice for a diner in the close area. But I do eat there. Its also my first choice when with a larger group.Worth a try.
5 ⭐️ Bravo. We met up with our daughter to have a leisurely lunch. For starters, our Server Kellie was outstanding. I can’t say enough positive things about her. You can tell this wasn’t her first rodeo….her patience, her smile, her personality and her promptness was an utmost. Thank you Kellie. Now for the food…. The menu has a full variety, the portions are very generous and prices are good! Not to mention that the food was all delicious! I had ordered the Spanikopita(Spinach pie) and it comes with a delicious Greek salad I’ve had this at other restaurants and I must say “This Was The Best Spinach pie I have ever eaten”. My husband and daughter really enjoyed their lunch as well. We will definitely be back. Thank you again!!!
Party of 6. Started out fine. We were seated immediately, but the staff was not very attentive after that. Slow, slow service! Took forever to place our order, and it wasnt complicated... Received the appetizer in fairly good order. Then after another 30 minutes, we went to check on the rest of the order. Finally, it was on its way to the table. I dont think the restaurant was short staffed; we just didnt get into their routine, and at first it wasnt clear who our server was.The most attention we received was when we were leaving, and our server offered a plastic bag for our leftovers. She finally smiled, and was pleasant as we left.This was our second time at this Diner. The first was many months ago, and the service was just fine..same number of people, same type food order.We will probably return when we are visiting the area because the food is good, and the prices..reasonable.
Recently came here after a gathering nearby, and I must say that the food was amazing. Their omelettes are hearty and plentiful, the eggs benedict was done perfectly, and their French toast sticks are a nice in-between to excite the palate. Service was nice and courteous. Diner was clean. And even as the breakfast rush crowd began to fill in, I never felt unsafe. Booths are separated by glass partitions (kids in the booth behind you cant be nosey), and the tables seemed clean and dirt/smudge free. I will definitely go again, and I recommend that you try this out yourself :)
Came to visit family. Were from California. One stop shop if no one can decide what they want to eat. Menu has a lot of variety and the prices are very reasonable. Pay as little or as much as you like and the food is served in good portions. Staff is also friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Perfect service great food.... There was an elderly gentleman that was obviously a regular sitting in front of us. The waitresses and the hostess were so sweet to him. Once they knew he was leaving they all came to say goodbye, goodnight and cant wait to see you tomorrow. The hostess even assisted him to the register. It was nice to see so much kindness in this crazy world we are living in. Especially towards our seniors. Thank you to the staff for making his day and mine brighter with your kindness.
Food was good as always. They seemed to be kind of in a rush getting our orders in and to get us out. Awesome customer service otherwise. Will definitely go back.
While the inside of the restaurant is nice our waitress had the personality of a dead fish and the home made corned beef hash🤢🤮 Id rather eat dog food. Eggs were undercooked bacon could chip a tooth and the home fries were not cooked all the way. Only moist part of the toast is the center where they put the butter DO NOT eat here unless you want your taste buds to be offended
Like some of the other reviews, my only major objection is to the service. It was horrible! Had to wait 30-minutes for someone to come to our table to take our order. Also had to wait 30 minutes to get the check. I finally decided to go to the front to get the check and pay it. How was the food? It was OK. I would not go back and try other dishes simply because of the service.

Food was good but had to take it to go due to wait time. Manager and waitress were very nice and apologetic. They Gave us a 15% discount as a good gesture 👍!! Was a little frustrating because it was the first lunch with my mother in years! People that came in after us got there food first. Obviously a break down in communication or a simple mistake. Hope they fix it, would like to din there again.

Been goin there for very longtime and the food is always amazing and even though its been awhile today was a great experience on visiting great service and great food.
This place is near and dear to my heart, so many memories as a teenager. I use to go here at least once a week with friends or family. The food is great too, lots of options keep it fresh each time you go, or you can have your usual, I love the buffalo chicken wrap.

I just was not impressed with their meat loaf.
This diner. My waffle came on a plate with dried egg yolk and black specs of something. The waitress got annoyed when i asked for a clean plate and stated its not her fault. When i was a server, it was my job to present the plate to the guest as desirable as possible. They are expensive, coffee is awful and when checking out there isnt even a thank you from the cashier. Bathroom toilet paper was empty and stuff all over the floor. I told the young lady at the register but when I went back a half hour later it was the same. Wont be back
The staff loves the customers by being genuine in their service...They all know their product that the diner offers. Courteous ..kind...and deaerved top reward for their service. Ill come back again. The food was tasty and top quality. thank you all ......

I got a Caesar salad from here tonight and it was very good but 5 mintues into me eating it .. Their was a hair right in the middle & I had to throw it away SMH .. DISGUSTED !!! 🤮

I have always loved the food from this diner. Today started out hectic. I wanted something good to eat, and I was unable to call the diner and left a message on the CONTACT US page. I explained on the page that I had been trying to call for an hour and the phone wasnt ringing. They called me back in less than 5 minutes and took my order. Food was good, and well proportioned for the price. Priced very reasonably, easy to get in and out of lot.Service left a bit to be desired- It was the latter half of lunch rush, but not acceptable. Drinks arrived with food (20 minutes in), we were not checked on at all during the meal (had to flag waitress down to get boxes/check), and at a glance, it didnt look like anyone else got check-ins either.

Kings Quesadilla are delicious so are their salads. The rest of there menu is good with a lot of choices. For a dinner they have a very large selection. Very clean and appealing.

The food is decent slightly above average. However the owners and staff can be very cold and distant. The waitresses judge you by what you wear and look lile.if they think you wont give a good tip youll get terrible service.Are table wasnt wiped down and the glass separators were filthy .

Ive been patronizing Kings Valley Diner for a long time now. The food is wonderful, and the people are fantastic. Ive been picking up take-out meals a couple times a week during the current pandemic situation, and have never been disappointed. Tonights Yankee pot roast was so tender, I didnt need a knife to cut it, and the potato pancakes and red cabbage were delicious. My son loved his Thai chili wings and Big Easy Burger, too. Hats off to everyone at KVD!!

Dont live in the area, but when I am in the area I always make it a point to stop here. They have a great variety of meals, and I can never choose one dish at a time. I also must note that their mac and cheese balls are to DIE for. Honestly one of my favorite appetizers in the world. Their staff is also super friendly and make the atmosphere that much better. If youre in the area please stop by here. You wont regret it!

Visiting from Mi. Found on google. Food was delicious. We went twice. Great portions and food came quickly. Only wish was that the wait staff came more regularly to check on us. Took forever to get our bill. Definitely Italy would go again.

I have been coming here periodically over a number of years. One thing hasnt changed and its how nice everyone is. Food is great. Service is excellent as always. Minor upgrades to exterior, interior, and menus keep the experience fresh. Management approachable, and down to earth. Best diner in town!!
When I go to Kingston and if Im going to eat breakfast out I usually go to this diner. Try the spinach soup its excellent.
