Had some of your fried seafood. I thought it was a generous amount but it all tasted like onion rings. The rule is change your oil every 2000 miles
Clean and bright. I found everything to be fresh and clean with great selections. From the bakery to the produce area to the meat sections. Everything was up kept quite well. The one small drawback would be the prices are more then some other grocery chains. But if youre looking for something different or something special they offer quite a bit. Staff was also pleasant.
Shop here all the time, they just got a self-check app which is amazing! I bag my groceries as I go and scan them with my phone. Pay and you’re gone, no waiting in any line.
Did not enjoy shopping here. WAY overpriced. And, we had to pay for a shopping bag. I only came here because my boyfriend and I wanted snacks, and dollar tree closed early due to no employees.
Altht a good store, noticed many items we were shopping for, were not available.generally a good experience but had to shop at another store to complete my ordinary items
EXCELLENTclean, quiet and the pharmacy was very efficient
Always out of rotisserie chickens, how hard can it be to stay in stocks. Just left empty handed for the 5th time in 5 weeks for this reason. Going to Stop & Shop where they dont charge for a reusable plastic bag...which also works better than paper in the rain.
It was nice. Only visited it once but it had many nice things in my opinion .
Clean store great deli and ready to eat meals area
Love this store. So clean and lots of variety of brands. Produce is beautiful. Meat prices very reasonable. Wide assortment in floral shop.
The best seafood, the best breads, great service Big Y is awesome
In Agreement somewhat with Kristina-but put the blame more on the management of personal Shoppers. I use to bring my elderly mother to shop with me but had to stop. For some reason the personal shoppers are infringing on “elderly” shopping hours. For lack of a better word they are bullies. The older generation is a group of rule following, selfless people-they cannot comprehend WHY the shoppers are allowed to ignore the rules. I have gone so far as to point out to several personal shoppers that they were too close or going the wrong way. I was either ignored or told to “shut up”. I have not stopped shopping altogether but I certainly don’t go as often. The staff are working their butts off-it’s Corporate that needs to assist them.
Lovely supermarket and nice people -- particularly the cash register check-out guy (light haired, if I recall) who was 18 years old and very professional, extremely competent, and so sweet and friendly - not common in a youngster. He really made my experience even better.Big Y is such a bright and happy supermarket with a beautiful produce section.Lots of nicely packaged personal care products at affordable prices like homemade soaps and other giftable and pretty smelling lotions and shampoos. This market reminds me of that high-end organic food market owned by the giant online retailer -- but at much better mom and pop prices. Love it here!
Had a great large turkey and bacon sub. Food and service was great!Whats reslly nice is they have many fresh options as well as prepared foods for quick bite. It was easy choice over the arches in the same plaza.I like stopping at BigY when I need a quick bite while traveling!Recommended!
They have a nice selection of food and good prices but their commitment to safety in the time of COVID 19 is not good. It is hard to get people to follow the rules when the employees are not. The one way system works well but only if people use it and unfortunately it is not well observed there. There is also confusion at the checkout about what to do...I will go to other stores that are enforcing the rules better and more constantly for the time being.
Amazing store! Thank you Big Y World Class Market for coming to Duxbury. The presentation of the products is amazing. I love how the shelves dont go to the ceiling so that you can see all of the store at a glance. I wish you the best!
Not as good as Star Market, but Ill still shop here!
Clean, easy to find items, reasonable prices, what more could tou ask from a grocery store, oh yeah friendly helpful staff. They are friendly! Went in looking for a turkey to roast, found it and a few other tasty things as well, such as key lime juice.
Produce has been suspect (we’ve taken home rotten peppers and onions on more than one occasion). They should have kept the old checkout system that Hannaford’s had, which was wonderful for the customer and their bag policy is for the birds. In this area, it ranks a distant third to Brother’s in Duxbury and Stop & Shop in Kingston.
Nice variety. They have fresh sushi.
Pretty neat grocery store. Very clean, prices were fair and it wasnt too packed.
Big y is a family run store. The employees are very nice in the management was very polite
It is a very nice store but a little pricier than some.
Clean store with a grand selection of groceries! Jimmy B. (our in-training cashier) was incredible! Thank you!!
Loved that in an snaffoo, they helped save my day. Found my flowers for my Mum too💜
Great seafood department and seafood employeeStore well stockedLong checkout lineOnly had 2 registers openThey need more front end help
Super clean and well stocked market.
Best store ever
I have told everyone I know about how great the seafood is from tbe Big Y. Today that wasnt the case. Not like normal at all. I ordered fish & chips with onion rings instead of fries. I picked it up. I had fries.. there was no Cole slaw or tater sauce included. Usually there is. No idea what the issue was but clearly the employee at the seafood did a really bad job... I will check carefully next time.
Good place, good selection, great produce and bakery
Big Y has the best seafood and butcher departments that I can think of in ANY supermarket. The butcher in the Kingston location is amazing. Just voted Best Of by South Shore Living Magazine. I love it because I can buy Prime Grade meat. Stoppies doesnt even carry it and thats a shame. We are very lucky to have Big Y in the neighborhood!!
Today we picked up a large catering order of Big Ys pizza for a group of 50. They were ready when expected, hot, delicious and a big hit with everyone. And you cannot beat the price. Will definitely be ordering again. Well done!
The store is absolutely gorgeous! The cheese Dept and prepared foods Dept carry a large assortment of deliciousness! The only drawback is that the prices are way too high, even with the store card.
My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to the supermarket. We came for them mini mousse cakes which are to die for. The service was good and the bakery attendant quite friendly.
Really like this new store, they have a fabulous selection, good already prepared home style food selections to take home immediately and eat. Store is clean and the staff very friendly. Prices may be slightly higher than at some other stores, but I did not compare to see if this is really true, so check it out.
An abundance of fresh vegetables & fresh seafood. The bakery has a lot of delicious breads and pastries to choose from. I find a lot of organic goods here - more than other markets in the area. The choices are limited on household goods but this is by far my favorite supermarket in our area.
Nice shopping experience. The store is immaculately clean and the staff is friendly. They have a good, diverse stock of groceries and very fresh produce. I shop here frequently and have never had a bad experience.
Do short Alliance in Dunkin Donuts what can you say sugary Foods everyday
I love the big y the pharmacists are the best. The selection of vegan food is excellent. The selection of everything. The sales are really good.
Big and clean.
Nice variety. Not too big. Good sales. Really large selection of good-looking fruits and vegetables.
Buy your own paper bags at 10 cents each? Man, I hate to be nickel and dimed.
Visited this Big Y store on one of our trips to the Boston area. Havent been back in years and Big Y has come a long way. This is the old Victory Market then Hannaford Bros location. Great hot foods section. They serve breakfast by the way and this location has a small cafe seating area. If you havent already try the Big Y store made potato chips if you can find them. You wont go back to the National brands.
Great store, great products, a bit pricey though.
Great heat and serve ready made meals!
The store is nice. The employees are very nice. The products are good and variety is a fairly wide range. The downside is quite a few items are very pricey.
Very nice grocery store. Clean restrooms and good selection. Clean store. Helpful staff!
This is a great store. Huge variety. Fresh veggies, meat, fish and dairy. Great pizza and hot meals too. Employees are friendly and helpful. Love this store.
My favorite supermarket in the area. When it opened, I was a bit skeptical but the selection is fantastic! I think the produce, prices and staff are better than stop and shop.
Awesome place
Great place very good quality prices are decent..always great service 👌
Grocery shopping here is somewhat better, depending on sale items, in comparison to other markets around. There is a hot food area that pretty decent and a prepared food/grille that makes some very good breakfast sandwiches and stir frys.
Great selection, better than Slop and Shop or Walmart!
Good selection but prices kinda high for some items.
Every time i go to another store i am more impressed with Big Y-service, selection, cleanliness
Good food, good selections. Nice organic selection. They have my favorite yogurt. Homemade meatloaf from the meat Dept was delish!
Has a great selection of organic products, good prices also. The subs and sushi they make are fantastic too!
Prices are good but wasnt to impressed with meats or deli meats.
Great grocery store. Large variety of bakery items
I havent had any issues with food that spoils quickly like other stores.
Good experience overallHowever, the new young girl at the cash register check out became indifferent, impatient and somewhat rude to me 9when I questioned the sale price on boneless chicken that I purchased. I think she needs some guidance and advise as to how to treat Big Y customers.
Store very clean, produce very fresh. I couldnt find something. Asked an employee. He escorted me to the item I needed despite my saying Just point me in the right direction. Wish I had gotten his name so that his customer service could be acknowledged.Only negative was that I asked for very thin cold cuts. Competitors always hold up a slice to allow me to check the thickness. This person did not do that. My order ended up being thicker than I like.
How do you have a full size grocery store with no garlic or spinach? I had to go to another grocery store to get all of the basic foodstuffs they didnt have or inexplicably charged wildly inflated prices.
We shopped there all the time but they recently discontinued the 10% off senior citizen program on Tuesdays. Will probably go back to market basket its closer and less expensive
Service.
First visit because I was in the area. Was not impressed with produce hard pressed to find good Cucumber and green pepper. I dont have a Big Y card and was charged full price for everything. Cashier asked if I had one and I said no. I assumed (shame on me) she was going to put in the store card so I would be covered as your competitors do. Probably wont be back.
Try the butterball frozen white/dark meatTurkey no bones gravy packet, delicious!
The staff is the rudest I have ever met, don’t bother asking anyone to find something because they don’t even know where it is. I get how it’s tough times but that’s no excuse to give customers attitude for asking where a item is. Don’t plan on ever shopping here again
Great selection. .big parking lot. Sushi. Fresh veggies. Youll love it.
Every week Big Y gets better in all ways. The new departments add to the excellence of choices for all appetites.Staff most helpful, store bright, well stacked and clean.Great addition to South Shore.
Just got a delicious freshly made small Italian sub for lunch at the deli for $4.27... Wow! They have a lot of options.
Big Y has the best prices and selection around. Employees are ready to help.
Nice market, good sale stuff but overall pricey. Even though further away I prefer Market Basket.
Love this store great find staff friendly and courteous
Expensive even with there customer courtesy card. Only a few registers open. Not my place to shop.
I had a very helpful young lady cashier & nice young gentleman bagger 7/18/17 around 2:30 pm.
Very clean, large organic dept. Sushi dept is excellant. Every one friendly. Happy with the meat & fish dept. AND, THEY HAVE CHECKERS & BAGGERS!!
Very helpful stock guy in produce, couldnt have been nicer.
Fresh fruits and vegetables, good selection of organic produce and products, friendly staff!
The best meat and bakery .
Locally sourced mostly, but very expensive if youre not hitting a sale
Thank YOU for carrying Chicopee Provisions Blue Seal kielbasa!! Previously, I had to drive back to my hometown in central Mass to buy some! 👍
Basically the only grocery store I go to. Great staff and prices.
Friendly workers willing to help a man lost in a supermarket
Definitely not world class! But they try hard !
While not as folksy as Hannaford, they do a great job. Good people make the difference.
The cashier had a lot of trouble ringing me out, I told her put X amount on my credit card and the rest cash. She kept insisting I didnt have enough on my CC. Which I told her again NOT the full amount will go on my CC Then she told me I had to punch in the amount at slide out credit card machine. 15 minutes to check out UGGGGH
Good grocery store, and the prepared foods are great. Complaints: self checkout scanners will not scan digital Silver card from Big Y app, which is very aggravating, and your car will get dinged by one of their rogue carts regardless of where you park.
Prices are way higher for same quality products elsewhere.
Ever since Big Y has taken over Hannafords the produce selection has been horrible. All the vegetables & fruits are borderline rotten when you buy them. The Coin system is a joke.. spend $500 to get $1.50 off (1) loaf of bread.. Prices are higher than Hannafords were & the products are poorer.I miss Hannafords & now shop either at Whole Foods or Market Basket mainly over the rotting produce.
Good supermarket with solid selection of natural and organic food.
Birds hopping all over fresh lettuce
Better than Stop and Shop. No Hannaford
Friendly service nice selection
Great prices, but meat quality is sometimes lacking.
Clean. Great place for coffee break.
Very clean store and fresh produce.
Great food market but expensive. I frequent for the organic produce in abundance.
Great customer service and fresh food.
I dont like when they change the store around. Especially when your use to where things are.
