Depot Energy heroically came to our rescue this winter, and we are so grateful. We had been relying on our pellet stove for heat for the past several years, and were doing fine until that wretched cold snap in January when the temperature was below 20° for weeks on end. Our pipes froze and we were sternly scolded by the plumber that we thenceforth had to use the oil heat, no matter how accustomed to wearing hats indoors we had grown. Problem was, there was an oil shortage at that point and *nobody* would take on new customers. The big company from which I had previously bought oil for six years in a row now considered me a new customer, and refused to help, no matter how convincingly I begged. We have an absolute bear of a driveway: 235 of steep, winding difficulty, especially for oil trucks. . I spent weeks waiting for delivery from one big company, who kept promising delivery and then showing up on an entirely different day, then refusing delivery because the driveway had been sanded on the day they were supposed to come, instead of on the day they actually arrived. On one occasion, they just didnt show up at all.One of the many big companies I called said Id probably have better luck with a smaller, mom and pop establishment, and gave me Depots name. She could not have been more correct. From the first contact, I could tell I was dealing with actual, compassionate people, neighbors, if you will, instead of just a faceless corporation. They were kind and accommodating. Our problem was exacerbated by the fact that by this point we were almost out of oil, and were about to leave the country for two weeks for a medical procedure that could not be re-scheduled. As the time for our trip approached, numerous attempts at delivery by Depot were unsuccessful, in spite of extravagant sanding, due to the extreme cold/ice and the worsening weather. Depot even hand- delivered several gallons of oil on multiple occasions, just to keep us going. When we left the country, delivery still had not been possible, but a weekend of very warm weather was anticipated, and it was hopeful that the ice would finally melt away from the driveway. Unfortunately, another storm was expected on Monday, and we were about to resign ourselves to frozen pipes and general household mayhem upon our return. But Depot came through with flying colors. Not only did they agree to Sunday delivery, they called around to all their drivers and shuffled the schedule so that someone skilled at navigating difficult driveways, who wasnt even supposed to be working that day, could finally drive the big truck up and fill the whole tank before the storm, instead of just delivering a couple gallons. It was amazing customer service, the likes of which Ive rarely encountered. They were patient with my increasing desparation as the trip approached, and just kept on gamely trying until the deed was accomplished. Depot Energy offered us hope, compassion, and excellent service during a very difficult time. We will remain loyal and grateful customers of Depot Energy for the long run.
Depot Energy is great. We have been using them for years because my wife is, well cheap, and we always get the best price and great service. Our oil burner started smoking the other day and we went to Depot Energys site and saw that they recommended M&K Plumbing & Heating of Sandown.Gave them a call and Mike was great. Came right over during one of the big snow storms and did a fantastic job. I have had other people over the years and they did a fraction of what he did. He blew crud out of my oil line, replaced the filter, took apart the motor and cleaned every part, cleaned the soot out of the chamber etc. When he was done it looked and ran like new. Thanks Depot Energy for recommending him on your site and for the great service and low prices you have provided us over the years
Dependable and they work for you and are friendly people.
