I have purchased many acoustic guitars in the past 40yrs, from music stores across Canada and the US. The recent purchase from L&M in Kingston ON rates as one of the best experiences among them. Ive been shopping at Long & McQuade for years in Kingston and they never fail to deliver quality products and advice. Recently, the customer service surrounding some warranty work on a guitar was amazing. (Thanks Paul!) Its also nice to see staff when Im in the store, that seem to really enjoy their jobs - great morale, and patrons leaving with big smiles on their faces.

They dont care about piano players. Basically nothing on the floor. When I asked about buying a bench, they literally turned the monitor to me, pointed at model numbers, and asked which one I wanted. Nothing available to test. Teacher quit after a few months and they gave me all the worst time slots. No effort to maintain the existing time slots that I signed up with. I feel scammed and wont be going back.

Purchased a guitar 🎸from Long & McQuade at Christmas for my son. Purchased a warranty on the model as well and glad I did. Last week damaged the neck of guitar when he was putting it away and was devastated. Called the store and explained the scenario to them and had an identical replacement in just a few days. Everyone I spoke to was extremely courteous and professional and we are grateful for their outstanding service and commitment to excellence. Thank you!

I recently purchased a player series telecaster from L&M Kingston back in March. I brought it into the store last week to have a set up done, and although they usually require 3-4 days turnaround time, to my surprise, it was ready to go the next day. When I picked it up to play it felt like a brand new guitar again. So I just wanted to give a huge shout out and thank you to whoever did the work on it. It’s great!!

Management and staff here are impeccable - Nathan is one of my favorite people to see when I walk through the door cause he is the most upbeat and fantastic guy to chat with. Been buying here since they were independent and they have gone as far as getting a regular stock of Vater 3A Fatback sticks just for my convenience, saving me from the hassle of ordering online.Cant say enough great things about the Kingston L&M Team!

Smaller L&M location (acquired Renesaonce Music August 2016). Nice selection of Taylor, Martin, Gibson guitars (again smaller due to limited space). Small drum, wind and brass selection. Friendly staff - eager to help.

Great place, I really enjoy going there and talking to the staff and playing there guitars. Great honest people I had an issue with a repair and within the hour I was told to bring my guitar back and it was resolved 10/10 best music store in kingston.

The staff at this location is very helpful. They have some excellent instruments. The one con I would say is that the store is a bit cluttered.

I really love this place, it’s a lot of fun to go to and you can try out a majority of the instruments :) I got my saxophone there and I have no regrets!

Staff are usually friendly and helpful, but the repair shop likes to take their time .. gonna have to start booking appointments so they dont have my guitar sitting for a week before they get to it
