This is a very good family business. Im always nervous about new mechanics and they impressed me on my first day in town with their quality and work ethic. I got a flat tire an hour out of town hauling the moving trailer and rolled in to town on my donut. They made room same day and finished 2 tires with alignment while I waited. Thank you!

This place is a total rip off. They always find extra work to charge you for. Went for minor brake work, they replaced my ignition coils and spark plugs. They also passed me for an inspection with failed brakes. I’m taking them to civil court. Tapanga at the front desk is the rudest!!! This place sets all customers up for failure once you give them a second chance to repair your vehicle.

Ive never had a automotive place that I liked or recommended to others. I could not love this place more. I live a block away and take my cars for regular oil changes. Ive also had them run diagnostics for an engine and fluids problem. I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were. The waiting lounge area isnt anything great, but I would give the staff 6 stars if I could.

Didnt put my tire correctly back on, causing my tire to fly off in traffic. I had to replace my rotary and hub due to this. Before I even continued to drive and before the tire flew off I stopped by to have it checked...i was told it was bushings. That was confirmed by two other places nothing was wrong with my bushings, only a tire not properly tightened. Wont ever go Back! I could have died!

My wife and I have been running a Dealership in Charlotte for the last 18 years. NEVER had we come across a shop that is so Customer oriented as this one. I wish we were not 4.5 hours away. We sold a 2012 Durango to a Customer that has been to Kinston Automotive in the past, and lives there. She had a problem with her transmission. We of course got involved when the warranty company was giving a shop a hard time approving the claim. But Angela who is running the shop up there was willing to help us AND the Customer so that the cost is minimized. She didnt have to do any of that, and we are so grateful that our Customer went there. Broke Tire Sensor Cant Repair brought vehicle in for a weird sound in tire, they told me a belt was broke. I asked them to change it with my spare tire and paid the 30 dollars to do so. A few minutes later they tell me the tech broke the tire pressure sensor and they had to wait for a new one to get there. I waited and said I would have to come back bc it was taking to long. I came back three days later they couldnt get it to program and ordered another one, I sat there from 10 am to almost 4 pm with them trying to program and said I had to come back bc it was taking too long. Came back a couple days later paid for oil change and then they told me the sensor still wont program and I would have to have someone else fix it. I said you broke it and got the response of I understand that was all.Took vehicle to dealership to find out repair cost and was told it would be around 200 so I call Kinston automotive to let them know and get sorry. I said you broke it and I want it fixed and got all I can do is give you documentation!
