Great attentive & polite service and unique selection of flavors! The staff was super friendly and also thoughtful with recommending other flavors to try.You can still sample ice cream flavors (thankfully, especially with COVID restrictions), as long as you show proof of vaccination.I personally recommend the Honey Lavender and Chocolate Gooey brownie. But also recommend trying out the seasonal flavors, even if the name may not sound appealing at first! There is also a fireplace just outside of the store & also other ones nearby! So you can still have ice cream even if it’s still a bit chilly.

I come here every week to try new flavors. Would definitely recommend Honey Lavender and Cold Brew Coffee Cashew as classic flavors to go to. Also, their seasonal flavors are interesting (even bold sometimes) and are usually a nice surprise to expect every month.

Tried this place for first time and was very good. Went with the waffle bowl with one scoop of chocolate guey Brownie which was very tasty. Two of these one scoopers ran $16 which it is good just not sure thats a reasonable price point for that. It was a nice treat and fun seating areas nearby.

My husband and I shared a scoop of the pumpkin bread and the salted caramel. So good! The real chunks of pumpkin bread in the ice cream was delicious! We also had the best ice cream scooper--the gentleman with the Sonics hat (bring the Sonics back!!) was knowledgeable about the ice cream, shared with us what his favorite flavor was, and was just all around great. Excited to try the next seasonal flavors!

Ice cream was great, staff were equally as awesome. Patient, helpful and positive! All the things we have been missing during COVID!The store is relatively small but I like the fact they have individual stations for serving people, and not necessarily a production line approach that bottle necks. Lots of different and interesting flavors. Love the fact its open late! Definitely on our must do list of desert makers!

Visited Salt & Straw for the first time while on a short trip to visit family in the Seattle area. The staff are extremely lovely, and so helpful with trying new flavors and food allergy awareness (fiancée with a major peanut allergy). I ended up going with the Lavender and Honey, which was really good, and can safely recommend any of the options they carry - it was hard to choose just one! Definitely get their seasonal flavors, super interesting and delicious. Looking forward to visiting again so I can get more!

We tried two of their flights which comes with four flavors each and we were totally blown away by how good this place way. Not only that but all three staff at the time were super nice and friendly. We live in Renton but this place was totally worth the drive and we will be back. Try for blue cheese and pear. Its a flavor combo for ice cream that will surprise you how good it is ❤️

Nice location with seating outside around the fireplace. Perfect for when having some ice cream during the winter months.Good selection of flavors, but definitely not cheap for a cup of ice cream. They tastes quite good. Also have pre-packed pints in the refrigerator ready to go.Plenty of parking in the complex lots as well as in the covered garage. The complex itself is in semi opening states with some stores operating and other still preparing to open. Also social distancing is in effect now during the pandemic. Plexiglass inside when ordering ice creams as well as around the cashier.

I am still so excited to have a Salt & Straw so much closer to me. Why no AC??? The flavors are good and the service is top notch, but it’s hotter inside the store than it is outside. Not only does it make for an uncomfortable experience but by the time you get your ice cream, it’s practically liquid. So much for a refreshing summer treat. I also don’t think it’s smart to stay open when your FREEZER is so warm that you can no longer sell pints of ice dream, let alone keep the other ice cream frozen.

Definitely not your ice creamery of yesteryear. This place has a hip vibe, youthful clientele, and friendly yet knowledgeable counter staff. But the real star of the show is the ice cream. After all, this is why we come here, right? If youre craving for your classics like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, prepare to be disappointed because those will be glaringly missing. Instead, youll be delighted with very interesting flavor combinations. Personally, I look forward to their seasonal flavors, and at the time of this review and for this location (Kirkland, WA), its all about the berry. One word sums it all up - YUM!

We Googled for an ice cream parlor on our day off and went to Salt & Straw, situated on a nice small park with plenty of outdoor seating, both in shade and in the sun.Its in Park Place, a rather new outdoor mall in Totem Lake. This place has a great variety of grocery stores and shopping like you would expect, similar to University Village. We walked past the menu and the clerk rattled off the selections so fast that I didnt even try to choose, but let my wife deal with it. Later eating our ice cream outdoors, we saw the menu in prominent display as you approach. Its sounds improbable, but it tasted WONDERFUL -- bleu cheese pear ice cream. The service was super quick and it was predictably expensive. Thats okay for a day off work when everything ought to be special.Well go again if were ever in that neighborhood.

Been to several of Salt & Straws locations around the country and have experienced wonderful, friendly service at every one of them, so we were excited to her that S & S was opening near us at Totem Lake. Unfortunately, the service at the Totem Lake has consistently not met the quality standards that have been set at other locations. In particular, one male employee (short and dark-haired) doesnt seem to think that greeting customers, as my son and I were met with a silent, bland stare when we walked into the store today. His demeanor throughout our interaction (generously put) was belligerent and markedly unfriendly. Really an unappealing and souring experience.

The ice cream was nothing special. The sea salt and caramel ribbons was a salt bomb. The chocolate gooey brownie was ok but the brownie wasnt gooey, more like cooked brownie chunks. The honey lavender one was good, heavier on the lavender than honey flavor. We got 3 pints and it was $41; one was inedible, one was ok, and one was pretty good. The ice cream wasnt particularly creamy, seemed like any other ice cream in the freezer aisle. For that price, I doubt well be back.

Good God is this place expensive. Good ice cream, unique flavors, but the cost of a pint is outrageous. Secondly, pay attention to the label on the prepacked pints. I ended up with a vegan ice cream (which was good by non-dairy standards) but not for $13. I only noticed it was vegan after I ate some, it tasted heavily of coconut and I saw the little (v) on the label. My fault, but look closely when purchasing if thats not your vibe.

Salt & Straw is my favorite ice cream shop in the greater Seattle area. The store location and environment are great. I ordered a brownie pint and it tastes delicious.
