They are expensive, but it all is so, so good.. These fellas have a true passion for what they do. I enjoy when a persons eyes sparkle and their face lights up when asked questions about their product and process, and the fella I spoke to did just that. There is no describing HenHoc so just take yourself down there and relish in the experience. Their Instagram is very informative as well.Seriously folks. This is the butcher shop of dreams... Especially for Knoxville...Enjoy.! To get 5 Stars from me is almost unheard of.

Every lunch item they offer is clearly thought out and tested to ensure a great product. The steaks are incredible. The Scottish salmon is one of the best pieces of salmon I’ve ever had. The guys are great about offering advice and tips for how to cook different items and are super welcoming. If you’ve not grabbed something from here you are missing out!

First time going in after following for a while on IG. Everything and more. Place is killer with great atmosphere and people best thing is the food! Got the Coppa, the baked potato meat (‘Nduja), skirt steak, and a few other things. Everything has been amazing will be back!

Beautiful butcher and deli! The guys in there were awesome and very helpful. They explained everything very well. I was excited to come across this place and hope to come back next time we visit!

So, I had a hot dog and a corn beef hand pie. Both were amazing! The hot dog I ate plain to get a good sense of its flavor. It was excellent. I imagine only it would be better with mustard. The hand pie was eaten so fast that Im not sure if I actually ate it or absorbed it. The food here is easily in the top 3 best in all of Knoxville. You could easily argue its the best. These guys should be sold out everyday.

Sorry guys but I just don’t see it. The selection was poor, the meat was expensive, the dry aged beef we had was tough and chewy. Really unimpressed and it’s too bad because Knoxville needs a good butcher shop.

Wow so I read a lot of great things and decided I needed to come in for myself. I have this as a place that I wanted to go for one year and was finally in the vicinity to go. I am a little disappointed I really wasnt that impressed with my jerk chicken wings and I also had a pastrami and swiss on rye and I found the meat to be very Smokey and not very flavorful except for the smoke. I brought home some hot dogs that are made there, and some salami. I am going to give that a try and Im hoping that I will totally change my mind. If so I will be back if not well enough said

I walked out thinking “great place and people but I can’t believe I spent that much on chicken!” After grilling and eating tonight I thought “I can’t wait to go back and spend that on chicken again!”We got the jerk half chicken and slow cooked it over hardwood lump charcoal and hickory and it was by far the best chicken we’ve ever had hands down. Second place isn’t even close.We will be back again and soon!

I picked up some chili dogs at Henhoc (and had hoped to grab a hand pie or a grab and go side dish, but they were sold out). While purchasing the chili dogs, I was skeptical - hot dogs for $6 each? How good could they be?- but my first bite changed my mind in a hurry. The hot dogs were perfectly meaty without the weird flavors that processed hot dogs sometimes have, the chili was comforting and clearly made with care, and to my amazement, the bun was not soggy or hard. Instead, the bun tasted freshly baked and toasted to perfection. Also, each chili dog was huge, clearly justifying the price.I’d give them an A+ for their Covid policies - every employee I saw had a mask on, and they have a large sign requiring customers to wear a mask.TL;DR: the prices may seem higher than you would expect, but once you try the food, you will realize it’s entirely justified for handmade, delicious food. I will definitely be back for hand pies, other takeout, and maybe a steak!

Knoxville has needed another butcher shop for quite sometime.. The front case of meat is very well organized and very clean. Meats are fairly priced. Pimento is AMAZING! I love that you can buy the spice blends yourself at the store. Very impressed with Hen Hoc and hope to come back soon!!

Holy wow! So excited to have a real butcher shop in town. The sandwiches are top notch and the meat selection is even better. We have enjoyed multiple cuts of meat and have yet to be let down. Please support this business....we need them and I can’t wait to see what they do if they are supported well enough to expand their offerings!

Incredible! We grabbed mac & cheese, cauliflower soup, 1/2 lb of pepperoni, and 1/2 lb of bacon, and saw the hot foods by the register and nabbed a 6-ingredient hot dog for good measure. Its pricey (read: Im cheap) but it is worth every penny. Im honestly not sure I can go back to pre-packaged pepperoni now. The folks in the shop are incredibly friendly and the whole shop is a neat space to be in. They also have some crackers, chips, and pickled items to grab for snacking or filling out the charcuterie board. We are really looking forward to our next visit!

I went in to grab some happy hour snacks. They were all crowd pleasers. But Ill be back again for the big stuff... everything looked really, truly amazing.

Called at 5:30p on Friday night to see if they were open. Both the website, & google said they were open till 6p. Drove over, employee was in store and door was locked. I knocked, since sign on the door said open till 6 as well. But this time it was 5:47p. He came to the door and said they are closed and open again tomorrow at 11a. I think this is terrible business when you advertise you are open till 6, and you are in the store getting paid till 6p and won’t serve customers.

Love everything Jeffrey does. Place is nice a clean, meat looks fantastic, and the turkey mole sandwich was the 💣. Even the bread was homemade!
