I had messed my screen up a few months ago. Geek Squad told me that it would basically cost the same as getting a new computer and take like 5 weeks. Ryan literally got it done it like 2 days and for waaaaaay cheaper. The speed and quality of service were excellent! I recently spilled coffee on my laptop in the morning, totally ruining my built-in keyboard. I brought my laptop in a little before lunch, and they were able to evaluate my laptop, find a replacement keyboard in town (my laptop is four years old, so finding replacement parts is difficult), install the new keyboard, and fix another problem with my laptop as well, all before closing time that same day. I only had to do without my laptop for about 7 hours total, which was awesome, because I need it for work. The new keyboard and other fix have worked out great. Couldnt be happier! :)

My hard drive completely crashed. Thousands of photos and other files—poof! Gone. Took it to one person who said recovering my data was impossible. Contacted Advanced Computer, who said he was willing to try. He got EVERYTHING. Installed a new hat drive. I spilled water on my laptop keyboard and needed the internal components to be checked over before I booted it back up. I found Advanced Computers on Google and saw they had good reviews, so I took my computer there. I was in a panic because I teach and school starts this week. He was so kind about my distress and did a rush job to get my computer fixed before school started. I did end up needing to have the internal components cleaned and dried and he gave me the very reasonable amount up front. He got it done surprisingly fast and, at pickup, we checked everything out together. Everything works great! When I got home, I found that even the keyboard backlight, which we thought the water damaged beyond repair, is working fine. Thank you!

The CPU fan on my MSI laptop was dying at a time where I needed my computer to be functional, and did not feel comfortable repairing it myself. When I called, he knew what model of laptop I had and what exactly would be needed to fix it. Given the pandemic, he was upfront that getting parts would be an issue, but if I could secure parts they would fix it. I was able to do so, and once I had them, called back and was told to bring it in. I brought it to them around 1 pm and had it back by 4 pm same day. There was even a slight issue with the part I received, and he knew what to do to correct it and make it work successfully. I have done some IT work in the past, and I can tell they are clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. My PC is working great and I would trust them with any of my computer needs in the future.

My laptop wasnt charging, and the first place I took it to required 6 weeks (!!!) to tell me I had a motherboard issue that they couldnt fix. I brought it to Advanced Computers that afternoon. By evening, he told me it was a problem with the charger port and said I could pick it up the next day. He was also very willing to answer my questions.The lesson here is to not take your laptop to a place that bills itself as a cell phone repair service.

I came in to get my girlfriends laptop repaired as she needed a quick solution to be up and running for her college classes. Instead of giving me a 2 hour run around and a 2-3 week solution costing us hundreds of dollars like the retailer or manufacturer did, he was very transparent about his process and simply suggested a very creative work-around to our problem in about 10 minutes, saving us tons of time, money, and frustration. The guy that owns this place is extremely rude. If you need a built pc or parts DO NOT GO HERE. Price is okay, but I dont tolerate or deal with rude people. I dropped my laptop over at the Allstate office next door, as there was a sign instructing customers to do so if the staff was out at work. Found out a few months after my build that I was not informed when it was being built that the mother board had ram slot issues. I was told I would be able to add to it. When I attempted to add expansion ram and it did not work and had to call someone else. That was when they discovered the issue that could have been told to me when it was being built and I could have ordered a new one. Now I am stuck with not being able to upgrade and if I do I have to pay someone else to rebuild it.I was also charged for over clocking my ram and only to find out that it was not overclocked. Will never use again.

I would highly recommend them for PC repair. I had previously taken my laptop to another computer repair shop after the unit failed to charge. I was first told the charger was faulty and needed to order another which I did. After the charger arrived and didnt correct the issue I was then told the problem was the charging port. They ordered the parts and said it would take a week to fix. Long story short and 2 months later with the problem still not fixed I decided to get the laptop and find another repair shop. This afternoon I went in with my custom PC to be diagnosed, and without anything but a brief explanation of the issue from me, said diagnostic is $30, but if I have to reassemble it, I will have to charge $100. That doesnt compute with me, and I asked if he could just point out the faulty hardware, and I would reassemble it, but that apparently was impossible.I will give him credit for apologizing, but saying Im not trying to nickel-and-dime you when itll cost an extra $70 to reassemble what I had done is not very effective. Just thought Id share my experience.Also, I highly recommend Computer Works.Response: Your attitude towards this whole situation is ridiculous. I was okay with a $30 diagnoses, but the parts in question would have almost certainly required disassembly and reassembly. I agree with the other negative report about your ego.To describe the difference between you and the other company I later paid $40 to help me was unimaginable. They genuinely cared, plugged in my computer (which you never looked interested in), assisted me in disassembling to find the source of the problem. What it comes down to is caring about the customer and you didnt follow through.Also, the other negative review was automated after I got in my car, so sorry for tainting your otherwise perfect business

I took my laptop to Advanced Computers today. I can tell you all the wonderful reviews about Ryan are spot on! He was working on two big jobs but stopped long enough to just look at my computer to see if it was a quick fix. I thought I would have to leave my computer there and go back for it, but Ryan fixed it in under 10 minutes! I was blown away. While I was testing it, another customer came in and he was telling her how she could sell parts of her non-usable computer. Now that is a businessman. I am not very computer savvy, and brought not just one, but two laptops to Ryan. Both computers had various issues, including viruses. Not only did Ryan repair both computers and install appropriate virus protection programs, but he also took the time to explain to me what he did to each laptop, along with the rationale for why this would work for me and my husband as we prepare to retire and move to another state to be closer to family. My only regret is that we cant talk him into moving with us! We both give Ryan our highest recommendation and top ratings for expertise and professionalism.

Upon discovering an issue with my computer, I researched several computer repair stores in the area. One place said it would take 3 days to perform a diagnosis and charge me an amount I thought was unreasonable. I then called Advanced Computers of Knoxville. To my surprise, the shop could diagnose and deliver that same day, at least for my situation! The repairman is friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. He saved me time and money too. It turns out, not only was the graphics card shot, some wiring was misplaced which caused poor ventilation. He even cleaned the computer and installed the needed drivers. Advanced Computers built my computer back in 2011. I gave them some basic guidance on what I wanted and they did the rest. The computer is still running strong in 2019. Today I had a fine experience with Ryan at Advanced Computers. I found a technician that I will go back to again and again. He is quite knowledgeable. I received more than I expected. Not only did he fix my problem very quickly, he cleaned up the accumulated junk on my computer. I had asked about increasing the size of a drive. We went over the ins and out. He set me up so that I did not need to buy a new hard drive. Rest assured that when I do want anything computer related I will go to him.

Ryan is a great technician, I had a fan header pin broken on my machine and he quickly helped fix it, not only did he repair the broken pin but, he also fixed the problems that Acer care created. I may no longer have warranty on my brand new laptop however, I would rather pay an establishment as this than send something broken to a warranty repair facility to just end up getting it back worse off.

When my computer crashed a couple months ago, I brought it in to Advanced Computers and everyone was so helpful the second I walked in. Im a college student who knows nothing about computers and they were extremely helpful. My dad usually deals with my technology issues but he is back in Nashville and its hard to explain whats going on over the phone, but everyone here was so patient with us and they even explained everything to my dad for me. They also held on to my computer for a very long time while I was trying to decide on whether or not to get mine fixed or get a new one. They didnt rush me at all or try to talk me into getting anything I didnt need and it was a huge stress relief knowing that they were so understanding. Ill definitely be going back if I have anymore issues with my computer.

I went to this company based on Google reviews. I was not disappointed, when I arrived, the owner knew what had to be done to fix my laptop. He told me what his fee would be, unless he had to get parts. When he found out that I lived 30-40 miles away, he said if I could stick around for a while he would save me a return trip. He did, and also saved me money on parts that he could sell me, but were not necessary. This man is very trustworthy, a commodity not easily found these days.

I honestly think Ive only left 1 review toward something in my entire life, but I felt like I needed to leave a review for this guy. I needed my Mac fixed quickly because I use it everyday. This guy was so informative and quick with his services. He did everything I asked him to do and I definitely got my moneys worth. He called me with every step he did and did nothing without my permission first. I had an expensive hard drive repair and battery issue and was contemplating whether or not just to get a new laptop. Im so glad I spent the money on a repair to get my Mac fixed! He is so friendly and I was just so absolutely pleased with the service. I felt like he deserved this review because I based my decision on past reviews when I chose him to fix my laptop. He is very knowledgable about computers, and I highly recommend him!

I went to Advanced Computers to get my laptop keyboard replaced today. After an hour and a half I was walking out the door with a fresh keyboard and with my machine completely cleaned out. They were able to work with me on making sure that all of the work that was done would be within my budget of working part time and being a full time student. The customer service was great and I would not think twice about going back.

Very fast and reasonable. They saved me $500 compared to a quote from Apple. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Went in hoping to find a cheaper case. They were out of new ones but he had a used one he sold me for a great price. And also threw in a DVD drive for very cheap which I also needed for my build. Knowledgable staff and good prices.
