Second time we have been here and absolutely love it! Staff is super friendly and food is terrific! Tonight I had the house salad and sushi (crunchy crab roll, Knox roll), wife had the hibachi chicken and shrimp and kids had sweat and sour chicken. Prices are reasonable and once again, great service and great food! Thank you.

Great food, great service... I ordered the chicken pad thai and my husband ordered the chicken and broccoli. We both liked our food. The servers were very attentive and friendly. And there is karaoke with Big Mike on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11. (That was the draw for us, but we both enjoyed the food, as well.) :)

Holy smokes are we happy! First time here and just WOW! Great little spot for delicious food with no msg. Wife and I ordered many things and share/try together. Everything we had was delicious, from the pot stickers and egg rolls to the sushi, kung Pao chicken, and Thai red curry. They also have heat levels from 1-10 so up it at your own risk!

Staffs are very friendly but food-wise.. it was a little bit strange...I ordered mapo tofu but it tastes like they use mostly sambal sauce to cook with not chili bean sauce (tobanjang). Also, Im 90% positive, they use pad Thai sauce for all noodle dishes even though its a Chinese dish.As an Asian restaurant, I think they have to have so many items on the menu... But its better to take the items from the menu if you are not an expert for that cuisine...

The quality of the Sushi and the absolute explosion of flavor was such a pleasure. If youre looking for good sushi this is the place. I will definitely be back.

Went with a large group for a birthday. Staff was very friendly and joined in the festivities. Sushi was delicious and the boat it was served on was a fun touch. All the food was really good. This was our first visit but we will definitely be going back soon!

Just went today 8/26 when they just opened for the day. Owners were so helpful, lovely and welcoming to my son and I. We ordered take out for lunch. The wonderful woman helped us with items and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch today. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

The last couple of times we ordered from this place weve been blown away by the amazing service provided by their sweet waitress as well as the quality of the food. Im not sure if theyve recently changed management or what, but I wasnt as impressed in the past. Their sushi is ridiculously large and filling for incredibly affordable prices, buy one get one 50% off on Fridays and Saturdays which is unheard of at any other Asian Restaurant in the area. Their curry has vastly improved in quality as well. We will continue to come here and support this place!

Pretty good place to order Asian takeout. The portions you get are enough to satisfy your appetite and the prices are reasonable.

Whoever rate this place 5 ⭐, never ate real sushi ! 95%rice 5%fish, its literally rice roll with barely fish flavor. Such a joke. Salmon avocado roll on the picture.

Excellent Asian food and worth the drive. It’s a little off the beaten path for us but the great food and service is makes it so worth it. Sushi, Hibachi, and Chinese are better than anywhere else around Knoxville.

Love the variety at Asian River, my go to Asian take out in Knoxville. The chicken pai Thai is really good. The sushi and sashimi is my usual order. Really good appetizer selection and the scallops and shrimp hibachi is really, really good. Just as good as the more expensive Asian restaurants and half the price. Awesome people working there ALWAYS friendly and accommodating.

Sushi was OK, (not cold) but House Pad Thai was so bad, had to send back. Hibachi steak was barely edible-super salty and full of gristle and fat.Will not be visiting here again.

We ordered hibachi dinners, lo mein, and sushi, it was all amazing! Everything was cooked perfectly, and tasted great. We got delivery and they packed everything we asked for and it didnt take long to arrive, the food was still hot when it arrived. Highly recommend!

This restaurant has gone down hill since Covid. I once loved this place but since Covid the last few times I ordered my food was not great and tonight I ordered 3 dinner plates and half the tray was broccoli. For $10+ I can get more food from other Chinese restaurants down the road. What a shame.

Having lived in Southeast Asia myself and traveled and eaten all over the far East, Im a pretty good critic of authentic Asian cuisine .My wife who is Vietnamese and a very good Asian cook I might add is equally as passionate about the various Asian foods.Now I do eat at the American versions of Chinese food and enjoy the food for what it is. what most of us know as Chinese food in America, you will not find anywhere in China. Haha but be that as it may thats what makes the foodie world such an exciting place to spend time.I cant believe I live less than 15 minutes from this restaurant it has been in business 3 years and I had no idea.When I first walked in I got the idea that we were dealing with amateursThe appeared to be a little bit out of sync and a little disorganized but I think it was mainly my impressionBut really some of the best food in the world you will have in Southeast Asia and East Asia in general will come from a disorganized appearing place that perhaps would not pass a health inspection here in America those are the places l love .My wife and I started with the egg drop soup and it was absolutely fabulous piping hot and full of flavor my wife and I are big on appetizers so we ordered the fried oysters as well as the scallion Chinese style pancakes as appetizers both of these were cooked perfectly and spot on. We had the Mei FunSingapore style noodles and I had to try the eiyaki yaki udon noodles as well .needless to say we carried food home I have been there three times this week I will go again when I pick my wife up from work at the nail shop and getting to know the waitress her husband is the chef they worked at fine restaurants in Malaysia prior to coming to America 20 years ago and since then have worked as some of the best Asian restaurants this chef knows his businessand its obvious that he is passionate about putting out first class food because you dont get food to taste this good if its not made with love. Do yourself a favor slide on over there one evening and have you a fantastic meal. prepared and served by some awesome people . you will probably see me there!

Sushi rice was very dried. not delicious at all. I could make sushi better than they do. chicken fried rice was poor. Ordered for delivery through GrubHub. Two items were missing. When I called the restaurant they adjusted my bill removing the food we hadn’t received. That’s impressive! Most places will only offer to give you the missing food with your next order. The hot and sour soup and thom kha were delicious. The calamari order was small for the price. The egg rolls were average. The sesame chicken was very good. The fire wok was tasteless and very disappointing especially at the price. The general tsos chicken was average but needed more sauce. The fried rice had no flavor at all. All portions were generous. The strawberry bubble drink was tasty but I wouldn’t order again. The Chinese donuts were good. All in all the customer service was impressive but the food was average overall and way overpriced.

Place was pretty meh, I’d rather go to seasons.Little ceasers is more Asian this this place.

You get a good amount of food for the price and the food is good but my boyfriend ordered chicken wings yesterday and they didnt look like they were fresh look like somebody just threw them back in the fryer they were stuck together they were not the flavor that he wanted it was just a big mess and Im sure we will never order chicken wings from there again

Since the main Chinese buffet closest to me had closed, Asian River has been my go-to.This is the real deal Asian restaurant with the standard menu we all enjoy. Theres nothing else in the area except that white washed stuff--no good if you ask me. I want someone who is difficult to understand but always gets the order right. I just love it.Accept no substitutes!

Great food love the new Malaysian menu

My wife took me here on my last night in Tennessee. It was great! The restaurant was clean, the food was tasty (I had the Pad Thai Chicken), but my favorite part was the super friendly staff that was working there on Saturday night. They were all smiles and probably would have gave me the shirts they were wearing had I asked. The half price sushi was excellent too. I will definitely go back when I return to Tennessee again.

Called for a late lunch. Ended up being early dinner for pick up. Just moved here. This was delicious. Friendly staff and good food!

Update: 1st time was good Just had a waitress that was not very personable. But we went back today for Lunch and were served by a nice young man. Very friendly. The food was exceptional. The ingredients are very fresh. I had the tom ka soup and it was a great version. It has braised sweet carrots that complemented the coconut undertones and the lemongrass was not overpowering. I had the orange Chicken and it was tender and cooked good. My wife had the Mongolian Beef and the steak used was top quality! Very Tender and lots of it! The sauce had that perfect tang like a good Mongolian Beef should have. This restaurant is off to a good start.. if they keep up with the quality ingredients I can see them successfully growing a local fan base.

Ill admit, I havent explored much of the menu, but these guys make FANTASTIC eel sushi and octopus sushi!!!!! I have ordered exactly that so many times now! These guys will always have my support, and I intend on ordering many more times to come!

Ate there for the first time last night. Our order was perfect. When this place used to be Asia Cafe, they would frequently get our order wrong. The staff is super nice. The food is delicious. And its more than enough to fill you up.

My wife and I were directed to this restaurant by the hotel we were staying at next-door. Definitely a good decision! Food was served quick, hot and in more than generous portions. We had some appetizers and sesame chicken along with sweet-and-sour chicken. Literally could not finish everything. Nice quiet location.

This place used to be Asia Cafe but it is way better now!Bruce and his wife always are so nice and accomodating. The BEST sushi in Knoxville plus anything else you might want- noodles, hibachi, appetizers... they are all great. It’s one of my favorite places in the area.

VERY surprised at how good the food was here...Stopped by late on a Friday night, expecting the possibility of getting old food...turns out was absolutely amazing! The Orange chicken was REAL orange chicken--perfect flavor. I was also impressed with the fried rice. It was simple, yet flavorful (most Chinese places go crazy and put all kinds of things in it). The Egg drop soup was amazing as well. I will definitely be going back...IF you live in the area, support this business!
