Ken Patterson at Tennessee Lighting Co. was recommended to me by someone in our community, and Im now sorry that Ive wasted any time with that company. I originally reached out to them in January to see if we could get a quote on curtains for our school play. I never heard back from them, but after talking to the person who recommended them I finally got a response. (Im pretty sure the gentleman in our community contacted Ken to ask why he hadnt responded, which is what prompted him.) Ken Patterson came out to our school on January 24th, took measurements, and said he would go back to the office to work up a quote. I told him that we would like to have it as soon as possible as there was a grant we were hoping to write and needed the quote to include in the grant proposal. He assured me that he would get it to me quickly. Today it is May 10th, almost four months later, and I still havent received a quote. I called him over a month ago to ask where it was, and Ken stammered with a Hmmm, I thought I sent one type of answer. He said he would check in his files and would get back to me. I waited several more weeks for him to get back to me, and he never did. He never sent a quote nor reached out to us. I emailed again on May 1st to see if he would send the quote, and again no response. It is May 10th, almost 4 months to the day from when I first talked to Ken, and I still do not have a quote. The only other time when Ive dealt with customer service this poorly was trying to get someone to quote a gutter replacement, but even they eventually showed up and did what they said they were going to do. So if you enjoy wasting your time, then this is the company for you. If youre like the rest of us and simply want a business to do what they say theyll do, I would avoid Tennessee Lighting Co. at all costs. I should have heeded the early warning signs that their company (or at least Ken) was not geared toward customer service, so hopefully I can at least warn others so that they dont find themselves in the same situation. Caveat emptor!
